[2] The title of the sermon: “THE GOD OF LOVE AND THE GOD OF HATE.”

Does God Hate?

  • Our God is a God of many things. Many people would say that God is not a God of hate.
  • Many so-called “Christians” who don’t read the Bible would say that God would never kill.
  • They would say that God doesn’t have vengeance. “God isn’t jealous.”
  • “God doesn’t hate. He loves everyone no matter what. He is only merciful. He only has grace.”
  • “He doesn’t throw people into hell. He loves sodomites or homosexuals. He loves transgender.”
  • “He would take the Covid vaccine. He would wear a mask. He doesn’t call people names.”
  • “He doesn’t mock people. He doesn’t throw people into hell.”

They say, “He wants you to be like him and he would wear a mask and get the vaccine.”

  • They say, “This is called loving your neighbor.” They say that love is giving everyone what they want.
  • So, I want to get this perfectly straight today using the truth from God’s words.
  • Let me be clear. People who say all these things about God have the wrong god.
  • They have created a false god, and they love that false god because they can do whatever they want.
  • They don’t have to fear a false god like theirs because their false god always agrees with them.
  • Today, let’s hear the Scriptures so you can wake up and see the truth.

Let’s start with the God of love and the God of hate.

  • Many so-called “Christians” would say that their god is a god of love.
  • They would also say that Satan is the god of hate and that their god doesn’t hate anyone.
  • Have you ever heard this from “Christians” before? They do not understand love and hate.
  • Is God the God of love? Let’s see.

[3] 1 John 4:7-9 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

  • For love is of God. God is love.

[4] 1 John 4:10-13 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

  • God loved us. He was here first. He loved you when He gave you the life you have right now.

[5] 1 John 4:14-16 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

  • God is love. How did He love us? He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for us.
  • If we have love, we must confess that Jesus is the Son of God.
  • If you want to love others, you must have God within you.
  • “He that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”

[6] Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

  • If you’ve been saved by believing on Jesus Christ, you have the Holy Spirit within you.
  • “Because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.”

[7] John 5:42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.

  • Jesus was speaking to the very religious Pharisees. They didn’t have the love of God within them.
  • They acted like they were doing right, but you cannot love without believing in Jesus Christ.
  • Calling Jesus Christ a liar is not love. They didn’t have the love of God within them.

[8] 1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

Do you believe the words in this Bible or not? Or do you only want to choose what you want out of there?

  • The love of God is perfected when you keep His words. This is love.
  • People that won’t believe on Jesus Christ do not understand the definition of love.

Every One That Loves Others Is Born Of God

If you’ve never put your faith in Jesus Christ alone, NOT OF WORKS, then you won’t understand.

  • The Bible says EVERY ONE THAT LOVETH IS BORN OF GOD.
  • What is love? It’s not what the world says it is. Love is defined by God. He is love.
  • Love comes from Him. You cannot love without Him.

[9] 2 John 6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

  • This is love, that we walk after His commandments.

[10] 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

  • We show the love that we have within us by following God’s commandments to us.
  • We always do right when we follow God’s commandments. God always does right.
  • He is not a hypocrite. He does what He says, and He always does right.
  • But the so-called “Christians” in this world today question whether or not God is right.
  • This is not love. When God does something, you can know that He is right.

For example, does God hate? How can God be a God of love and hate someone? Is it right to hate someone?

  • If God is love, is there any way He can hate?
  • Many of the so-called “Christians” who believe themselves to very intelligent, as a man recently told me, say that there’s no way God can hate someone if He is love.
  • But, let’s see what the Scriptures say. Can God hate?

[11]

If you want to study the Scriptures about hate, you would look up the following words in the Scriptures:

  • Hate, hated, hateful, hatefully, haters, hatest, hateth
  • Abhor, abhorred, abhorrest, abhorreth, abhorring
  • Contemn, contemned, contemneth, detest, detestable
  • Hate means to dislike. Abhor means to greatly hate.
  • Contemn means to despise. Detest means to extremely hate.

When we look up all of those words, we find 247 matches in 231 verses within the King James Bible.

  • There’s a lot of hate in the Bible. There’s people hating God and His people.
  • And then there’s God and His people hating other things and other people.
  • If you had to guess, which book in the Bible do you think has the most of those words in it?
  • You might think it would be Leviticus or Jeremiah. That’s what I would have guessed.
  • But take a look at this.

[12]

  • Psalms has 52 verses with those words. This is the song book from God.
  • His songs that we are to sing use these words more than any book of the Bible.
  • Now, go to Hillsong or Bethel music and see how many times they use those words. ZERO.
  • They have a different God than the living God. They’ve made up their own God.
  • Their false god is ONLY a god of love and never has hate.

The First Time God Hates In The Bible

Let’s look at the first time God hates people in the Bible.

  • And yes, let me be clear here because I didn’t mess up. Yes, God hates people.
  • You can believe the words of the Bible or not. I am going to believe God and be on His side.
  • Why? Because He’s right. When He hates someone, you can know He is right. He rejects them.

[13] Leviticus 20:22-24 Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out. 23 And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them. 24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.

  • You might ask when reading the Bible, “Why did God send the Israelite to destroy all of those people?”
  • There’s your answer. “And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation.”
  • “Which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things.”
  • “And therefore I abhorred them.” God clearly says that he abhorred or greatly hated these people.
  • Why is that? They committed all of these things. What things? We look earlier Leviticus Chapter 20.

They gave their seed to Molech a false god. They burned their children in fire to a false god.

  • They worshipped false gods. They wouldn’t do what God said.
  • They would curse their father and mother. They would commit adultery.
  • Men would lie with their father’s wife. Men were lying with their daughters in law.

Men were lying with other men. Men were taking the mother and daughter to wife.

  • The people in those nations were laying with beasts. They were taking their sister’s to wife.
  • Men were laying with women in their sickness. They were laying with near kin such as their aunt’s.
  • The men were taking their brother’s wife. God says that he hates all of these things.
  • And the people did all of these sick and nasty things that God hates. And then He hated them.

“For they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them,” God says.

  • These are His words. He says that He hated them.
  • But the so-called “Christians” with no faith, will call God a liar.
  • They are in churches that call themselves “Christian,” and say: “My god doesn’t hate.”
  • And they are right because they don’t have the God of the Bible. They made up their own God.

So, that’s the first time that God hates people in the Bible. HE ABHORRED THOSE PEOPLE.

  • So He sends His people to get rid of all of them and take back the land that God gave to them.
  • God gives this same warning to all of the children of Israel.
  • He says, “If you do these same things, I’ll hate you too.” Let me show you this in the Scriptures.

[14] Leviticus 26:27-30 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; 28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. 29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. 30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

  • God says right there at the end of the Scripture, “And my soul shall abhor you.”
  • The so-called “Christians” are hypocrites because they hate and reject the God they proclaim to follow.
  • But they say that we shouldn’t hate anything. But they hate God. They reject His words.
  • They reject what He says. He says that He hates, abhors, contemns, and detests things and people.
  • But they reject Him and have made up their very own god who is not alive and doesn’t exist.

[15] Deuteronomy 12:31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

  • God hates every abomination.
  • “For even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.”
  • So, let me ask you a question: Would you love the people that burn their sons and daughters in fire?
  • Do you love men who lay with other men? Do you love the people who lay with animals?
  • Do you love the child molesters? Do you think God loves those people? HE HATES WHAT THEY DO.
  • He gives them time. He has mercy on them. He loves them until He gets sick of it. Then, He hates them.

“Christians” Believe Themselves To Be Better Than God

If you think you’re better than God, as these so-called “Christians” do, what would you do?

  • What’s you master plan that is so much better than God’s plan for these people?
  • Would you have loved Hitler? Would you have told him that God loves him?
  • If you would have told Hitler that, you would be a liar. God doesn’t love people like that.
  • But you do? God loves, and God hates. And when He loves, He is right. When He hates, He is right.

[16] Ecclesiastes 3:8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

  • That verse right there boggles the mind of the so-called “Christians” being taught lies in churches.
  • That’s a very simple verse. There is a time to love, and there is a time to hate.
  • For example, I hate liars who continuously lie to your face and make excuses for their lies.
  • And you might say: “Well, that’s just wrong.” Is it? Or am I following the Bible?
  • If everyone hated those people who were liars and rejected them, do you think the liars might think twice about lying to people?
  • God knows better than we do. When He commands us to hate something, then we hate something.

[17] Deuteronomy 7:26 Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

  • God even commands you to greatly hate things and people. This means to reject them.
  • This doesn’t mean to do evil to them as the world would say. We don’t do evil to others.
  • We don’t agree with them and give them whatever they want either. This is not love.
  • God commands us right there to NEVER bring an abomination into your house.

Homosexuals or sodomites, the ones who love what they do, are abominations to God Almighty.

  • So, if He commands you to not bring them into your house, do you think He wants them in church?
  • “Lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it.”
  • “And thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.”
  • They are fornicating constantly and God hates fornication.

[18] Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

[19] Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

  • Many things are abominations to God. He greatly hates evil and wicked things.
  • If you agree with these abominations, and you do them, you might become an abomination to God.
  • I am not speaking to people who are saved here. I am warning others who are not saved.
  • If you become abominable to God, this means He greatly hates you. Why?
  • Because you’ve rejected Him over and over again and are hurting others with your abominations.

[20] Deuteronomy 16:22 Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth.

  • Do you see how God hates? The churches have been lying to people about God for too long.
  • He hates for you to setup images to worship. But I was told recently that the Catholics teach right.
  • They teach you to set up images and worship those images. They teach you to pray to humans.
  • GOD HATES THIS. If you’re Catholic, be very careful because you might become an abomination.
  • Don’t ignore God’s words and choose to listen to the words of man over these words right here.

[21] Deuteronomy 32:16-18 They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. 17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. 18 Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

[22] Deuteronomy 32:19-20 And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters. 20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

  • What did these people do to cause God to GREATLY HATE them or abhor them?
  • They provoked his sons and his daughters with abominations. That’s a warning.
  • A man recently told me to not teach the Bible and leave the children alone. I think he has a demon.
  • He teaches lies about God. Why did God hate these people in this Scripture?

They provoked God to jealousy with their strange gods. People everywhere are creating strange gods.

  • And they call it Christianity too. AMAZING. Why are they doing this? They are confusing people.
  • This is what Satan wants, and they are his minions doing his work.
  • With abominations, they provoke God. They create new gods that aren’t alive.
  • They have forgotten about God. They have forgotten about Jesus Christ who formed them.
  • They have no faith at all in God and Jesus Christ. NONE. And He abhorred them.

Why Does God Hate?

Why does God hate? Can you not see why He hates? He loves, and He hates.

  • He’s the best at loving people, and He’s the best at hating people. Do you understand this?
  • He’s the best at having mercy on people, and He’s the best with vengeance on people.
  • The Scriptures tell us why God hates. He is a God of love and a God of hate.
  • He loves the good and hates the evil.

[23] Psalm 5:4-6 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. 5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. 6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

  • False preachers will say that God loves all people and that He only hates the sin they do.
  • WRONG. Keep on committing abominations and God just might end up hating you for God.
  • This is why hell was created by God. He casts the people He hates into hell when they die.

He hates all workers of iniquity. So, you better not be a worker of iniquity.

  • You better believe on Jesus Christ before it’s too late. Don’t teach lies to people. This is deceitful.
  • God abhors or greatly hates the bloody and deceitful man. False preachers are deceitful men.
  • Does God hate people or not? YES, HE DOES. He says so. You don’t know Him better than He does.
  • NO ONE has greater love than God. He is love. Understand this. The Bible says so.
  • He is love, and, because He is love, His love will not allow Him to love evil and wicked people.
  • How is this possible? It’s very simple. Love is cleaving to that which is good and hating that which is evil.

[24] Romans 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

  • Do not have fake love like the churches are teaching. They say, “We love everyone.”
  • But they won’t teach the truth in God’s words. This is not love.
  • They agree with everything that God doesn’t. GOD IS GOOD. Cleave to Him. I choose Him.
  • I choose His words. I don’t choose them and their words. They are not good. I don’t cleave to them.
  • I reject them because they are teaching lies about God. They are teaching evil. I won’t cleave to them.

Love is accepting the good and rejecting the evil. For example, NO, I don’t agree that homosexuality is okay.

  • NO, I don’t agree that living with someone is okay. This is fornication. God hates fornication.
  • NO, I don’t agree with sending your children to public or private schools.
  • NO, I don’t agree with women having careers versus being keepers at home.
  • NO, I don’t agree with women being pastors, deacons, elders, or bishops.
  • NO, I don’t agree with taking the Covid-19 vaccine. NO, I don’t agree with women leading church.
  • NO, I don’t agree with feeding homeless people who can work but won’t work.

[25] 2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

  • I am going to choose what God says. If a person is disabled and can’t work, I will feed them.
  • If a person is physically and mentally okay, I will not feed them.
  • The so-called “Christians” will call me evil for following God’s commandments.
  • There it is right there. Clear and easy to see. When I follow God’s commandments, I have love.

Love is following God’s commandments. Is it not? We went over those Scriptures.

  • When people continue to feed the homeless who are perfectly okay to work, they hate that person.
  • Do you understand this? Nothing good comes from breaking God’s commandments.
  • LOVE IS DOING GOOD. And God’s commandments, ALL OF THEM, are the definition of good.
  • We cleave to His commandments and do what He says. THEN WE HAVE LOVE FOR OTHERS.
  • Then, we help others. Then, we do what’s best for others. This is love.

God says to not lie. God says to not covet what others have. God says not to look at your neighbor’s wife.

  • God says to not lust after others who are not yours. God says to not lust after food or drink.
  • God says to not steal no matter what. There are no exceptions.
  • When we follow these commandments, we have love for others.

God says that homosexuals are abusing themselves and others. I believe Him.

  • This is not love no matter what you want attempt to call it. Pedophiles say, “But I love that child.”
  • NO. THIS IS NOT LOVE. This is evil, wicked, and sick. This is abhorring that child.
  • Keep on. God will abhor you, and He will finish you off. He says, “VENGEANCE IS MINE.”
  • Do good, and you get God’s mercy. Do evil, and you get God’s wrath.
  • This is how God is a God of love and a God of hate. He loves the good and hates the evil.

[26] Psalm 10:3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.

  • THE LORD ABHORS the wicked who boasts of his heart’s desire and bless the covetous.
  • There are wicked people who want you to covet after things. “Hey, look what I have.”
  • “Don’t you want this too? Look how rich I am. Don’t you want this?” This is wicked.
  • With the Scriptures you’ve seen so far, would you say that God hates or not?
  • Does God hate people? If you can’t see the truth in the Scriptures, you have a big problem.

[27] Psalm 11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

  • We are supposed to sing the Psalms, and we do sing this Psalm in this church.
  • So this shouldn’t be a surprise to you. Why aren’t people reading the songs God wrote?
  • The Lord’s soul HATES the wicked and him that loveth violence.
  • Violence is doing wrong to others and hurting others. God hates that.
  • He doesn’t want you to do evil to others. That’s why He gives you His commandments.

We also sing Psalm 15 in this church. The question at the beginning of Psalm 15 is this:

  • “Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?”
  • One of the things that the Bible states is this. See the words here.

[28] Psalm 15:4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

  • If you are doing right, a vile person should be contemned or greatly hated in your eyes.
  • For example, a flaming sodomite should make you want to vomit.
  • When you see a man wearing a dress and trying to be a woman, you should have to hold back the vomit.
  • When you see these people, like our own President, approving and influencing people to change the gender of their children, you should feel hate for those people and those things.
  • God says so. For example, when I see a picture of Joe Biden in the news, I want to throw up. Seriously.

We Are Not Commanded To Pray For Wicked People

Joe Biden makes me sick. He is an evil and wicked person. I do not pray for him. Understand that.

  • So-called “Christians” probably gasped when I said that. They haven’t read the Bible.
  • Make sure you read the Bible before you condemn me for what I preach. I use God’s words.

[29] Jeremiah 7:16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

[30] Jeremiah 14:11 Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.

  • It will not do you any good to pray for someone who God has rejected. He won’t hear your prayers.
  • When you pray for our President, I highly doubt that God hears your prayers. I could be wrong.
  • But, in my opinion, our President is a reprobate. I will not pray for him.

I will pray for our country to turn back to God, but we sure do commit abominations constantly.

  • And let me be very clear: God is not happy with this at all.
  • If we keep on, our country will become a total abomination to God Almighty.
  • And that will be the end of our country that we have loved. And it won’t be pretty.
  • God’s wrath is not something you want to meet. We should cry for our children because we allowed this.
  • We will be like Jeremiah and weep over what happens to our children and our people.
  • Our children will be taken away into other lands just as Daniel was taken.

This is why we hate the evil and love the good. If not, we will see God’s vengeance on this country.

  • A definition of love is hating the evil and loving the good. This is the truth.
  • A definition of hate is loving the evil and hating the good. This is the truth.
  • Let’s say that you won’t hate evil. Let’s say that you are like all the fake Christians out there.
  • “I WILL NEVER HATE ANYTHING.” This next Scripture is talking about wicked people.

[31] Psalm 36:4 He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

  • If you won’t greatly hate evil, then you are wicked. Do you understand this? “He abhorreth not evil.”
  • You say, “Well, the homosexuals can do whatever they want. I don’t think it’s bad.”
  • Well, God says it is evil and wicked. If you’re okay with it, you’re doing evil.
  • We are to GREATLY HATE EVIL. This means we reject evil in every way. We don’t accept evil.
  • God tells us what is good and what is evil within the Bible. He tells us what He hates and abhors.
  • We are to hate and abhor the same things. We’re doing good when we do these things.

[32] Psalm 45:7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

  • Hate wickedness and God anoints with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
  • I want to be clear that God didn’t hate first. He once loved the people that He now hates.
  • He was patient and merciful with them. They hated Him over and over again. They rejected Him.
  • He loved them but they hated Him. And then He rejects them.
  • God teaches us this in the Bible. We’re not making up false doctrine. We’re using His words to learn truth.

[33] Psalm 78:58-61 For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images. 59 When God heard this, he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Israel: 60 So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men; 61 And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy’s hand.

  • Gad hates graven images. They’re dumb. They aren’t alive. They can’t do anything.
  • For example, trusting in your water baptism to save you is dumb. It’s not alive. It can’t save you.
  • You should be baptized in water AFTER you’re saved, but why will you put your trust in something that isn’t breathing?
  • Notice what the Scripture says: “When God heard this, He was wroth, and greatly ABHORRED Israel.”

[34] Psalm 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

[35] Psalm 119:104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

[36] Psalm 119:163 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.

[37] Psalm 139:21-22 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? 22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

  • God is THE God of love, and He is THE God of hate.
  • Whenever the word HATE is mentioned in this world today, people act like it’s the worst thing EVER.
  • Wrong. Hate is a good thing “IF” you hate the right things. For example, hating evil is a good thing.
  • Hating people for their skin color is not a good thing. That’s evil and wicked.
  • Hating people for the abominations they choose to continue doing is a good thing. We reject them.

[38] Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

  • Does God hate? “These six things doth the Lord hate.”
  • But a Baptist pastor named Dave Smith from Clay Mills Baptist Church, who was attempting to lift up his book he wrote in church, tells me that God doesn’t hate.
  • But he also tells me that he reads a chapter in Proverbs every day. Does he? Does he understand it at all?
  • But he’s older than me so he knows more than me. This is what he things. He’s more intelligent.
  • My brain just isn’t on a high enough level as these people.

The Lord God Almighty Hates Because He Says So

It doesn’t take much brain to understand that right there: “These six things doth the Lord hate.”

  • Dave Smith professes to believe the King James Bible is the perfect word of God without error.
  • In that Scripture, God hates a false witness. That’s a person. He hates people.

[39] Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

  • If you don’t hate evil, pride, arrogancy, the evil way, and forward mouths like Dave Smith’s mouth, then you don’t fear the Lord AT ALL.

[40] Proverbs 22:14 The mouth of strange women is a deep pit: he that is abhorred of the LORD shall fall therein.

  • When the Lord abhors you, you’ll fall into this deep pit of strange women.
  • Men brag about all the strange women they’ve been with. I wouldn’t brag about that.
  • The Lord might greatly hate you. I sure wouldn’t be bragging about that.

[41] Isaiah 1:14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

[42] Isaiah 61:8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

[43] Jeremiah 12:8 Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the forest; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it.

[44] Jeremiah 44:4 Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

  • Do you know how many Scriptures we can go through that shows us that God hates?
  • All the so-called Christians will proclaim that their god is a god of love.
  • But they will never proclaim that he is also a God of hate. They don’t have the God of the Bible.

[45] Hosea 9:15-16 All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters. 16 Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.

  • God hated the people of Ephraim right there. “FOR THERE I HATED THEM.”
  • “I will slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.” So-called “Christians” don’t want to hear any of this.
  • They stick their fingers in their ears and make noises with their mouth so they won’t hear God.
  • Here’s one of my favorite Scriptures. I want to make t-shirts with this for the church.

[46] Amos 5:15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

  • The world tells you to not hate anything. God says, “Hate the evil. Love the good.”
  • The world tells you to not judge anything or anyone. God says, “Establish judgement.”
  • Again, hate the evil, love the good, establish judgement. The world says the opposite.
  • Who are you following? The Lord or the world?

[47] Amos 5:21 I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

  • God says, “I HATE. I DESPISE.” He is an amazing God of love and an amazing God of hate.

[48] Micah 3:1-2 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment? 2 Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

  • These leaders of Israel hated the good and loved the evil. This is just like the pastors around here.

[49] Zechariah 8:17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

  • These are the things I hate saith the Lord. Read the Bible.
  • If you do, how can you say that God doesn’t hate? Did you ignore all of these Scriptures?

[50] Malachi 1:3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

  • Did God hate Esau or not? “AND I HATED ESAU.”
  • These false preachers say that we shouldn’t hate anyone but they are hating God. AMAZING.

[51] Romans 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

  • They say, “That’s not right. God can’t hate anyone.” Bring up all the Scriptures. They’re everywhere.
  • I even passed over many of them in this sermon or it would be way too long.

[52] Hebrews 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

  • Hebrews ties the New Testament to the Old Testament. Was the Old Testament wrong?
  • There it is in the New Testament too. “Well, Jesus changed everything with the New Testament.”
  • “Now He says to love thy neighbor.” These fools have no idea what that even means.
  • You don’t love by accepting all the abominations. You love by stopping all the abominations.

[53] Revelation 2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

[54] Revelation 2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.

  • There’s the Lamb of God speaking who is Jesus Christ. He hates. “WHICH THING I HATE.”
  • There is no doubt after reading the Bible that God is a God of love and a God of hate.
  • He is righteous and holy. He cannot love wickedness or wicked people.
  • Do you think He loves Satan? He did at one point in time, but His love for Satan is no more.
  • Hell is waiting on Satan. That is where he belongs and where he’ll end up.
  • People who reject God and Jesus Christ will not be loved by God any more. He did love them.

[55] John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

  • There’s the words of the one and only God right there. He shows you who He is very clearly.
  • God loved you so much that He sent His one and only Son to die for you as the sacrifice for your sins.
  • That’s love because the Son of God is so connected to His Father and to the Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus loved you so much that He died for you and His soul went to hell for you.

Believe On Jesus Christ And God Will Never Hate You

If you simply believe on Jesus Christ, He gives you everlasting life. That’s love. You see His love right there for you.

  • But don’t stop reading. “And he that believeth not the Son shall not see life.”
  • “But the wrath of God abideth on him.” God is a God of love and a God of hate.
  • He has mercy, but He will kill you and throw you into hell if you keep on hating Him.
  • And when He kills, it’s not murder. Murder is stealing a life. God doesn’t steal a life.
  • The life within you is His. He owns the life within you. He can take it back any time He wants.

[56] Deuteronomy 32:39-40 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. 40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

  • God lives forever. The life comes from Him. You can reject Him and say you don’t like who He is.
  • But it’s not going to change the fact that He will hate you if you keep rejecting Him.
  • There is no other god with the God who is in heaven above. There is no one else.
  • There’s no other god that is more righteous and holy than God. He makes you alive.
  • He kills. He has mercy. He has wrath. He has love. He has hate. He lives forever.

I now hope you can see, without a shadow of a doubt, that you’ve been lied to in the churches about God.

  • He is the God of love. He is the God of hate. He loves good things. He hates bad things.
  • He doesn’t hate anything that is good and right. He doesn’t hate unrighteously.
  • Believe on Jesus Christ right now, and God will never hate you. He’ll correct you, but He won’t hate you.
  • If you won’t ever believe on Jesus Christ, He will end up hating you at some point.
  • Don’t take the chance. Believe on Jesus Christ now and be saved today. Continue in God’s love.

Let’s pray.

Thanks. Learn something good from each of these. For me the one that was crucial was “children suffer for sins of parents” I can build a lot of deeper understanding from the foundations that helpd lay. And it answered a lot of questions. From that rock I am gaining better structure to all of my thinking. If I were dealing with someone who had been through that sort of thing I already new you had to be able to draw the lessons and locate yourself properly within it. Otherwise it is driving your behavior unconsciously. You have to examine but not dwell. But you also need the correct wisdom to achieve that.
