[2] The title of the sermon: “FALLEN FROM GRACE.”

Fallen From Grace = Losing Your Salvation???

• Many false preachers will take one verse in the book of Galatians and develop a false doctrine.
• There’s only one verse in the entire Bible that talks about “FALLEN FROM GRACE.” Let’s look at it.

[3] Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

• False preachers will attempt to twist the Scriptures to say that you can lose your salvation.
• They will say that this Scripture in Galatians proves this. “YE ARE FALLEN FROM GRACE.”
• They will teach that these people were once saved but they now are fallen from grace.
• For some reason, they will say that these people were already saved and now they lost salvation.
• But what these false preachers didn’t do is read the entire chapter.
• They didn’t read the Book of Galatians. They didn’t read the entire Bible.

There’s very clear Scripture in the Bible that tells us we are saved once we believe on Jesus Christ.

• Once we believe and trust that Jesus did and does what He said He would do, we’re saved by Him.
• And we’re saved through His works that He did. We are not saved through our works in any way.
• Changing your mind takes absolutely no work at all. Believing on Jesus takes zero works at all.

[4] John 3:14-15 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

[5] John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

[6] John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

• The Bible NEVER ONCE tells us that our works will save us. The Bible constantly tells us believe.
• Faith. Believe. Faith. Over and over again God tells us faith alone saves us.
• And once we’re saved, we have everlasting life. Once we believe on Jesus Christ, we have everlasting life.
• These Scriptures are very clear. Hundreds and hundreds of Scriptures. The entire Bible teaches this.

[7] John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

[8] John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

• Is that not VERY CLEAR? He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. That’s Jesus Christ speaking.
• Here’s the very simple process of salvation: You believe. Jesus gives you everlasting life at that moment.
• And if He gives you everlasting life at the moment you believe, you can’t lose salvation.
• Why? Because EVERLASTING is EVERLASTING. Salvation never ends once you have it.
• Salvation is never ending. God NEVER once says you can lose salvation. Not once.

[9] John 10:28-30 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one.

• Never means never. Jesus says, “I give unto them eternal life AND they shall never perish.”
• No man, including yourself, will EVER pluck you out of the hand of Jesus Christ.
• No man, including yourself, will EVER pluck you out of the hand of God the Father.
• Once you’re saved by God’s grace through faith, you have never ending salvation.
• Salvation means you are saved, and being saved is past tense. It’s done and over.

[10] John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

• Whosoever liveth and believeth in Jesus Christ shall never die. NEVER DIE. Ever. Never.
• Once you’re saved by God’s grace through faith, you will never die. You can’t fall from His grace now.
• But, if you believe works are going to save you PLUS faith, this is not faith.
• And if you continue to think your works have a part in salvation, you are fallen from grace.
• You’re moving away from God’s grace. You never received God’s grace. You’re falling away from it.
• You’re getting further away from God’s grace. You didn’t have it and then lost it.

[11] Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

• Being saved is not of yourselves and not of works. Nothing you worked leads to salvation.
• None of your works will keep your salvation for you. You don’t have to keep it. God keeps it for you.
• The Bible tells us this over and over again. God preserves us and keeps us.
• He’s not going to allow us to fall away from His grace or His salvation that He promised.

[12] Jude 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

• God keeps us from falling. We don’t gain salvation and then lose salvation by falling away from His grace.
• He is able to keep you from falling. He is able to present you faultless before God Almighty.
• If our works cause us to gain or lose salvation, the entire Bible is a lie. And God is not a liar.
• Let’s hear some very clear Scripture about never losing salvation. Once you have it, it’s your gift from God.
• You didn’t work for it. You can’t work for it. You can’t work to keep it. God already gave it to you.

[13] 1 John 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

• He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself. This means you’re saved.
• You have “THE” witness inside now. You have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside you now.
• The witness is never leaving you now. You are sealed unto the Day of Redemption.
• If a false preacher says you can lose salvation, they have made God a liar just like that Scripture says.
• If you don’t believe one can be saved with everlasting life once they believe, then you’ve made God a liar.

And God isn’t the liar. The false preacher is the liar.

• The false preacher doesn’t believe the record that God gave of His son.
• And yes, this is true. Anyone who believes you can lose salvation doesn’t believe the record.
• And what is the record? The very next verse tells us.

[14] 1 John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

• He that believeth on the Son of God HATH eternal life. That means right now. Present tense.
• You have it right now if you’ve believed on the Jesus Christ at any point in your life.
• And believing on Jesus Christ doesn’t mean that you believed He existed and you got baptized and your baptism proves you’re going to heaven.

If you believe baptism is required for salvation, then you’ve fallen from God’s grace.

• This means you won’t believe what God says within the Bible.
• He never says a work like baptism will save you. He says to simply BELIEVE ON JESUS CHRIST.
• Adding any type of work to salvation is a false path to salvation. Water baptism is a work.
• And it’s a great work you should do immediately after you’ve believed on Jesus Christ.

Baptism Is A Good Work When Done In Faith

You MUST understand that baptism is a good work when it’s done in faith.

• This means you must first have faith in Jesus Christ.
• Having faith means you understand there’s no work you can do to contribute to being saved.
• Jesus did all the work. You simply need to trust 100% in Jesus to save you.
• You aren’t going to be able to do any works to contribute to salvation.

And you aren’t going to be able to do any works after you’ve been saved to keep your salvation.

• Going to church doesn’t contribute to you keeping your salvation.
• Repenting of sin doesn’t affect salvation at all.
• Doing good things for others doesn’t contribute to salvation.
• Giving the Gospel doesn’t affect YOUR salvation.
• It’s very simple. You must first be saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
• Once you’ve believed, you are saved with everlasting life that you can never lose.
• THEN, you can do good works for God in faith and those good works will lead to rewards in heaven.
• But you don’t have to do good works to contribute to salvation.
• You don’t have to do good works to prove that you’re saved.

[15] 1 John 5:12-13 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

• What does everlasting life depend on? It simply depends on ONE THING.
• If you have the Son, you have life. If you have not the Son, you don’t have life.
• And notice you will never hear that works will save you in any way. Works never save you.
• Baptism isn’t mentioned here. Repenting of sin isn’t mentioned here. Church attendance isn’t there.
• Works may justify you before other men but not before God. God can see faith.
• He doesn’t need you to show your faith through your works.
• Other men and women can’t see your faith so your works will justify you in front of them.

Verse 13 says, “These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God.”

• Do you believe on the name of the Son of God ALONE, or have you added other things?
• Have you added yourself and your works to the equation? If so, you haven’t believed on the Son of God.
• You’ve instead fallen away from grace. You went the other direction away from Jesus Christ.
• Once you believe on Jesus Christ, God’s grace is activated for you. You haven’t fallen from grace.
• You’ll never fall from grace because you’ve received everlasting life.

If you believe on the name of the Son of God, verse 13 says: “That ye may know that ye have eternal life.”

• “And that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
• God cannot put this any more clear. That’s very, very clear Scripture that cannot be twisted.
• Believe on Jesus Christ and you may know that you HAVE eternal life.
• That means right now. And eternal never ends.
• You can’t lose everlasting life, get it back, lose it, get it back, lose it, get it back.
• The Bible NEVER mentions anything like this. Not once. But the false preachers talk about it.
• They’ve made up some fairy tale in their corrupted minds.

False preachers say, “Yes, you can lose salvation by falling from grace. Have you not read Galatians Chapter 5.”

• “Duh. Maybe you should read Galatians 5:4 because it clearly says you can fall from grace.”
• And I say, “Yes it does say you can fall from grace but it doesn’t say you can lose salvation.”
• It’s very ironic because the false preacher is the one that Galatians 5:4 is talking about.
• They have fallen from grace because they haven’t believed ON the Lord Jesus Christ.
• They didn’t have God’s grace and then lose it. The verse doesn’t say that.
• They continue to go further and further away from God’s word and fall further from grace.
• They need to come back towards God and His grace and put all their trust ON Jesus Christ.
• They are putting trust on themselves to do things. They are trying to gain salvation and keep salvation.

So, you can ask them. How do I lose salvation by falling from grace?

• They will say that you can lose salvation by doing evil works or by believing your works will save you.
• “If you do a bad sin, you will fall from God’s grace.” That’s what they say.
• Ask them: “Which sin is bad enough? Which one makes you fall from God’s grace after you’re saved?”
• And if they answer, they would be making up another fairy tale that’s not in the Bible. It’s not there.

Was the sin of Moses bad enough to cause him to lose salvation? He didn’t enter the promised land.

• Was Samson’s sin of killing himself bad enough to cause him to lose salvation?
• Did David lose salvation when he committed adultery and murdered Uriah?
• Did King Saul lose salvation when he killed himself? Did King Saul fall from grace?
• Obviously, the works of King Saul didn’t save him. He went against God and God made him pay.
• But did you know the Bible tells us that King Saul went to heaven and he killed himself.
• He didn’t have time to repent of his sins. If King Saul feel from grace, he would be in hell.

[16] 1 Samuel 28:8-9 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee. 9 And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?

• Saul disguises himself and goes to see a witch.

[17] 1 Samuel 28:10-11 And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing. 11 Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.

• Saul wants the witch to bring up Samuel’s familiar spirit.
• This means normally it wouldn’t be his actual spirit but a familiar spirit.
• Something like Samuel but not Samuel.

[18] 1 Samuel 28:12-13 And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul. 13 And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.

• This is the real Samuel that ascended. She cried with a loud voice.
• She hasn’t seen anything like that before.

[19] 1 Samuel 28:14 And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.

• Saul perceived that it was Samuel. It’s not some false Samuel. This is the real Samuel.
• Saul bows himself to the ground. God allowed this miracle, and I’m so glad He did.
• This Scripture here proves that you can’t lose your salvation.
• Saul was breaking God’s law right here. He tells us not to go to witches and wizards.
• Saul continues to sin against God until he ends up killing himself as punishment from God.

[20] 1 Samuel 28:15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.

[21] 1 Samuel 28:16 Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?

• The indwelling of the Holy Spirit didn’t exist in the Old Testament.
• But God would send His spirit to COME UPON people such as Saul.
• He did the same thing for Samson and David. But His Spirit had left Saul.
• This doesn’t mean Saul lost salvation. Saul was saved already because he believed on God previously.
• But now Saul sins against God over and over again and now God is punishing Saul.
• But Saul hasn’t fallen from God’s grace. Saul is still going to heaven.

[22] 1 Samuel 28:17-18 And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David: 18 Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day.

• In other words, God has punished Saul because Saul wasn’t obeying God.
• And yes, God does the same thing to us today. He will punish us when we go against Him.
• If you’re punished by God, you at least know that God loves you.
• And God loved Saul, and that’s why God punished Saul.
• “Whom the Lord loveth, he chasteneth and correcteth.” God loved Saul. Saul was saved by God’s grace.
• Saul definitely didn’t deserve to be saved. None of us do.
• Now watch what the next verse says and mark this one down.

King Saul Went To Heaven 100% Without A Doubt

[23] 1 Samuel 28:19 Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.

• Notice exactly what Samuel tells King Saul. And this is the truth and this is what happens.
• “The Lord will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines.”
• “And tomorrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me.”
• Samuel tells Saul that him and his sons will be with Samuel.
• Samuel was in heaven with God. Samuel was a saved man. Where did Saul go when he died? Heaven.
• That was actually Samuel and what Samuel told them would happen actually happened.

[24] 1 Samuel 31:1-3 Now the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa. 2 And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchi-shua, Saul’s sons. 3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was sore wounded of the archers.

[25] 1 Samuel 31:4-5 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.

• Saul was wounded by the archers but ended up killing himself by falling on his sword.

[26] 1 Samuel 31:6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.

• No matter how you look at it, Samuel told Saul and his sons would be in the same place as Samuel.
• Jonathan is one of those sons who died that day with Saul. Jonathan was the very best friend of David.
• I haven’t heard any preacher claim that Jonathan went to hell. Saul and Jonathan went to the same place.
• I’ve never heard any preacher say that Samuel went to hell.
• King Saul went to heaven after his punishment from God.
• 1 Chronicles Chapter 10 is the parallel passage with 1 Samuel Chapter 31.

[27] 1 Chronicles 10:1-3 Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa. 2 And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchi-shua, the sons of Saul. 3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him, and he was wounded of the archers.

[28] 1 Chronicles 10:4-6 Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on the sword, and died. 6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together.

• But watch what we learn a little further down in verse 13.

[29] 1 Chronicles 10:13-14 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it; 14 And inquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.

• Saul died because of his transgression against the Lord.
• He went against the word of the Lord. He didn’t keep God’s words. He asked for help from a witch.
• Therefore, God slew Saul that day. But, did God send Saul to hell? NO WAY. He went to heaven.
• False preachers will say that you can fall from grace by committing transgression against the Lord.

They will say that you can lose your salvation by sinning and you must repent of that sin to gain salvation again.

• Saul was a saved man.
• Obviously his works didn’t contribute to him going to heaven because his works were evil.
• He hated a righteous man, David. He tried to murder David many times. He rebelled against God.
• He disobeyed direct orders from God through the prophet Samuel.
• He offered sacrifices that only the Levites were to offer. He wasn’t a Levite.
• Saul even threw a javelin at his son Jonathan in an attempt to kill him. That was his own son.
• Watch what else King Saul did.

[30] 1 Samuel 22:16-17 And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house. 17 And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.

[31] 1 Samuel 22:18 And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.

• King Saul murdered 85 priests that day because of David who was doing right.
• So, if anyone is going to be fallen from grace, wouldn’t you think King Saul would fit that category?
• His last act was to murder himself. He killed himself. That’s an evil and wicked sin.
• He didn’t have time to repent of that evil and wicked sin. But he went to heaven with Samuel.
• Why is that? Let’s go back in time to the point at which King Saul was saved (past tense).
• If anyone could lose everlasting life or salvation, it would have been King Saul. But he didn’t.

[32] 1 Samuel 10:1 Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?

[33] 1 Samuel 10:2 When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?

[34] 1 Samuel 10:3-4 Then shalt thou go on forward from thence, and thou shalt come to the plain of Tabor, and there shall meet thee three men going up to God to Beth-el, one carrying three kids, and another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a bottle of wine: 4 And they will salute thee, and give thee two loaves of bread; which thou shalt receive of their hands.

[35] 1 Samuel 10:5 After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:

• These prophets or preachers of God’s word are going to preach to King Saul.
• “THEY SHALL PROPHESY.” Saul is going to be there listening to them preach to him.
• And watch what happens.

[36] 1 Samuel 10:6 And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

• King Saul will be turned into another man or a NEW MAN.

[37] 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

[38] John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

• Saul was a new creature in HIS SOUL. His sins were forgiven in his soul. He was born again a new man.
• He heard the preaching, he heard the prophesying, and he believed it. He was saved.
• Then, he chose not to obey God and walk in the flesh. He didn’t walk in the Spirit after he was saved.
• He didn’t do all these great works. He did evil works. But he still went to heaven.
• Many false preachers will say you MUST do good works to prove you are saved.
• Well Saul didn’t. He fell away from God but God’s grace never fell away from Saul.
• If God’s grace did fall away from Saul, THEN he wouldn’t have went to heaven. But he did.

[39] 1 Samuel 10:9-10 And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day. 10 And when they came thither to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

[40] 1 Samuel 10:11-12 And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets? 12 And one of the same place answered and said, But who is their father? Therefore it became a proverb, Is Saul also among the prophets?

• Saul, obviously, was saved that day. God gave him another heart. A new heart.
• The spirit of God came upon him and he prophesied. He was saved and then he preached too.
• But after he was saved, he started going against God. He didn’t obey God. He lost his life over that.
• But he didn’t lose everlasting life. He went to heaven. His soul NEVER DIED.
• Samson killed himself too. That’s an evil and wicked sin but Samuel went to heaven.
• The Bible tells us that Samson had faith. And if he had faith at any point, he went to heaven.

[41] Judges 16:30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.

[42] Hebrews 11:32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:

• Samson is listed there with Gideon, Jephthah, David, and Samuel. He went to heaven. Why? Next verse.

[43] Hebrews 11:33-34 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

• Samson went to heaven because he had faith in God. He was punished because of sin. He loved women.
• He didn’t fall from God’s grace. He’s in heaven right now.
• King Solomon. He wrote books of the Bible.
• He fell away from God but God didn’t take His grace from Solomon.

[44] Nehemiah 13:25 And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.

[45] Nehemiah 13:26 Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.

[46] Nehemiah 13:27 Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?

Solomon Was Old When He Sinned Greatly Against God

• Solomon sinned against God later in his life. He didn’t do this early in his life. We was old when he did it.

[47] 1 Kings 11:4-6 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. 5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. 6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

• Make sure you see that right there. “WHEN SOLOMON WAS OLD.” He did evil in the sight of the Lord.
• False preachers contradict themselves in everything they say.
• Some will say that the Old Testaments saints like Solomon were saved by grace and works.
• That’s actually impossible, but they still preach those things.
• Does it look like Solomon would have been saved by his great works?
• He went after false gods. Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians.
• Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. But God still loved Solomon. Why?
• Because he was a saved man. He didn’t hate Solomon for his sin. He punished him for his sin.

[48] 1 Kings 11:7-8 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. 8 And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

• He worshipped false gods after everything God Almighty had done for him.
• If anyone could fall from God’s grace and lose salvation, wouldn’t it be Solomon right there?
• God HATES when we worship false gods and put other gods before Him.

[49] 1 Kings 11:9-10 And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, 10 And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.

• God appeared to Solomon twice in his life, and he still worships false gods.
• God commanded Solomon not to go after other gods.
• When saved people today go away from God, the false preacher say: “Well he’s not even saved.”
• What would those false preachers have said about King Solomon?
• But King Solomon is in heaven right now. God punished Solomon for his great sins.

[50] 1 Kings 11:11-12 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant. 12 Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father’s sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.

• Solomon had peace in his life because he had followed God. But now God takes that peace away.

[51] 1 Kings 11:13-14 Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake which I have chosen. 14 And the LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king’s seed in Edom.

• God brings an enemy against Solomon. He brings another enemy and another enemy.
• He was being punished because God loved Solomon and was going to correct him.
• If Solomon was a saved man and didn’t fall from God’s grace, then the false preachers MUST have their interpretation of Galatians 5:4 wrong.
• Their false interpretation of that Scripture doesn’t match the rest of the Bible. THEY ARE WRONG.

Noah didn’t fall from God’s grace. Abraham didn’t. Sarah didn’t. Moses didn’t. Aaron didn’t. Rahab didn’t.

• Barak didn’t. Samson didn’t. Saul didn’t. David didn’t. Solomon didn’t.
• Did you not hear the things that they did?
• But the false preachers still want to tell me that I can lose my salvation.
• Jesus says that I can’t. The whole Bible gives us examples telling us that we can’t.
• But the ignorant false preachers says, “Oh yes, you can fall from grace and lose salvation.”
• Why is that false preacher? They say: “Because you sinned. You are fallen from grace.”

[52] Romans 7:14-15 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

• Did Paul fall from God’s grace too? Did Paul lose his salvation? No, he didn’t.
• If you think you can lose salvation because of your works, I’m afraid you might not be saved.

[53] Galatians 4:11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

• These false preachers are teaching that you can lose salvation due to your works.
• But Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us that salvation is NOT OF WORKS.
• It’s not of works at all at any point.
• For example, some false preachers will tell you that you’re saved by grace through faith.
• But in order to keep your salvation, you must do good works. You must not do evil works.

They say, “If you do something evil like Saul or David, then you lost your salvation.”

• “If you do something evil like Paul, then you lost your salvation.”
• But the Bible clearly says that SALVATION IS NOT OF WORKS. And that means at all times it’s not of works.
• It’s not of works before you’re saved, at the moment you’re saved, or after you’re saved.
• From everlasting to everlasting, SALVATION IS NOT OF WORKS.
• There’s not any moment in time that eternal salvation is of works. Not one moment.
• Baptism doesn’t save you at all EVER. The modern day speaking in tongues is an abomination.
• That modern day speaking in tongues doesn’t save you. Going to church doesn’t save you.
• Preaching the gospel doesn’t save you. Confessing your faith before men doesn’t save you.

[54] Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

• We’re saved by God’s grace. We can’t be saved by both grace and works. God says so.
• We can’t act like baptism contributes to our salvation. It’s a work and it doesn’t contribute at all.
• If you think that your baptism is saving you, then grace is no more grace.
• And you must have God’s grace to be saved. If you think baptism is saving you, you’ve fallen from grace.
• Baptism is a work of the law. Circumcision is a work of the law. Studying the Bible is a work of the law.
• Now, let’s read Galatians Chapter 5 in context.

[55] Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

• Christ has made us free. We are free indeed. Believe on Jesus Christ, and you’re free!!!

[56] Galatians 5:2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

• If you think your circumcision, baptism, or other works will save you then Christ doesn’t profit you at all.
• You think that you can gain salvation with your works. You don’t need Christ. But you’re wrong.

[57] Galatians 5:3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

• If you think your works are saving you, then you MUST do the entire law and never mess up once.
• You must not ever sin. You must 100% fulfill all the law. THE WHOLE LAW.
• If you go your entire life fulfilling the whole law, then you don’t need Jesus to save you from your sins.
• If you think baptism is saving you, then you better do all the law. But you can’t.
• You’ve already sinned. You’ve already come short of the glory of God. FOR ALL HAVE SINNED.
• In other words, you’re in trouble if you think baptism or any other work is saving you.

[58] Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

• Jesus has become no effect to those who think they are justified by works of the law.
• You are NEVER justified by works. This means you are fallen from grace.
• If you believe your good works are going to save you, you’ve fallen away from God’s grace.
• You can never be saved without God’s grace. This means you can never be saved by your works.
• Your good works will not save you and your good works will not keep salvation for you.
• If you are saved, your works will not cause you to lose salvation. THIS IS GOOD NEWS.

[59] Galatians 5:5-6 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

• Then we see more of the truth right after the verse false preachers use to say that you can lose salvation.
• Just keep reading. These liars love to pull verses out of context and twist the Scriptures.
• Righteousness comes by faith. In Christ Jesus, circumcision doesn’t do anything for you.

When You’re In Christ Jesus, Understand That Works Didn’t Get You There And Won’t Keep You There

In Christ Jesus, baptism doesn’t do anything for you. Those works don’t save you.

• They have absolutely NOTHING to do with salvation. NOT OF WORKS lest any man should boast.
• The entire Book of Galatians preaches against salvation by works.
• But the false preachers who understand nothing of God’s word use Galatians 5:4 to tell you that you fall away from grace through your works.
• FAITH IS WHAT MATTERS FOR SALVATION. That’s it. The entire Bible teaches this. And it’s very clear.

[60] Romans 3:24-26 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

• By His grace through faith. FAITH IN HIS BLOOD to save you. Declare HIS righteousness.
• We don’t have any. We broke God’s law. We break it every day and it’s not okay. We are not righteous.
• God forbears us because we aren’t good. HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS saves us. Not ours.
• Our baptism doesn’t make us righteous. It’s faith in HIM that makes us righteous.
• He’s the justifier of those who believe in Jesus Christ. It’s not of works.

[61] Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

• If we were saved by works in any way OR salvation kept by works in any way, there would be boasting.
• And that’s what all these false preachers and religions are doing constantly.
• “Well, you aren’t saved OBVIOUSLY because look at how you live. You need to live more like me.”
• “You need to be more like me and worship John Calvin. You need to be more like me and be a dispensationalist. You need to be more like me and believe in a pre-tribulation rapture.”
• ALL LIES. But they love to boast about how great they are IN THEIR LIES. They think they are good.
• They won’t give it all up and simply trust in the simplicity of Jesus Christ to save them. It’s simple.
• But that’s too easy and they won’t look as good or as smart if it’s just faith that saves you.

[62] Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

• That’s the conclusion. That’s it. Salvation is by faith alone without the deeds of the law.
• If you are SAVED by God’s grace right now through faith, you can’t fall away from His grace.
• You can’t lose salvation. If anyone tells you that, they have some other gospel.
• The Book of Galatians is all about the false gospel of adding works to salvation IN ANY WAY.

[63] Galatians 1:6-7 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

[64] Galatians 1:8-9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

• If you bring a works based salvation with you, let him be accursed. LISTEN TO GOD’S WORDS.
• We don’t do a works based salvation here. FAITH ALONE at all times. Before, during, and after salvation.
• Don’t ever allow someone to deceive you in the Scriptures.
• My last pastor told me, “Yes, I believe that you can fall from grace and lose salvation.”
• His words are still fresh in my head. And I showed him clear Scripture.
• I was gone in just a few days from there. I won’t listen to it. The Bible is very clear on salvation.

[65] Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

• There are hundreds and hundreds of clear Scriptures that tell us believing on Jesus Christ is all it takes.
• WE MUST stop listening to these false preachers and start trusting the word of God.
• These words come straight from the mouth of God. TRUST HIS WORDS.
