For God So Loved The World

John 3:16 Tells Us That God Loved The World

Today, I’m going to go over John 3:16.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

First off, people say,”God loves everyone because John 3:16.” They think that God loves everyone no matter what all the time. They think they can do whatever they want and God will always love them.

Yes, He loved everyone at some point. God created each and every one of us and gave us life. He has always loved each person at some point.

But, God also created hell. For people who won’t believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, God takes those people and throws them into hell.

Please Don’t Reject God Any Longer

Some people reject God over and over throughout their life. If you continue to reject God, He can reject you.

In other words, God doesn’t love all people all the time no matter what. There is a condition. You must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to continue in God’s love.

Second of all, Jesus (= Son of God) was begotten at His resurrection. The second part of John 3:16 says, “that he gave his only begotten Son.”

That means God gave His Son who is Jesus Christ. Jesus was begotten of God when God raised Jesus from the dead.

Acts 13:33-34 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. 34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

So, in Acts 13:34, it says: “concerning that he raised him up from the dead.” This is talking about God raising Jesus from the dead or the resurrection.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is when God raised Him from the dead.

In verse 33 God says, “Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.” Jesus is the begotten Son of God. He was begotten at the resurrection.

Whosoever (That Means You) Believeth In Him

Last but not least, in the last part of John 3:16, the Bible says, “that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

So to live forever (everlasting life) in Heaven, simply believe on Jesus to be saved just like John 3:16 says.

The entire Bible teaches that all we have to do to receive the gift of everlasting life is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. He is God. Believe what God says.

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Also, this verse says the exact same thing (it’s in the whole Bible):

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

The Old Testament Teaches Us The Same Thing

Here is a Bible verse in the Old Testament with King David teaching us the exact same thing.

Psalm 116:13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.

You can’t call upon the name of the Lord without first believing on Him. And when I say believe on Him, I mean that you must believe on Jesus to save you.

You must believe that He alone is “THE” Savior.
