[2] The title of the sermon today is “GENESIS CHAPTER 3.”

The Serpent = Satan = More Subtil Than Any Beast

[3] Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

  • This is THE first appearance of Satan in the Bible
  • Serpent = Satan

[4] Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

  • Deception, Not flat out lies that are easy to recognize
  • MORE SUBTIL than any
  • How does Satan deceive? This is the first time Satan shows up.
  • We better pay attention here BECAUSE everyone seems to have missed this part of the Bible.

Satan does 2 things right here in this verse.

  1. Satan attacks the word of God. Do you see that?
  2. Puts doubt about what God says into Eve’s head.

Corrupted bible versions do the same thing

  • NASB puts many verses in brackets
  • NIV puts note that these verses aren’t in the earliest manuscripts
  • The so-called earliest manuscripts are trash because they’re corrupted Catholic manuscripts
  • The “earliest” manuscripts contradict each other and within themselves
  • Sinaiticus and Vaticanus manuscripts

Example: Mark Chapter 16

  • NIV notes this right before verse 9.
  • “The earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have verses 9 – 20.”
  • This is the same as Genesis 3:1 Casting doubt on God’s word
  • “Well, there’s not anything that important in Mark 16 verses 9 through 20.

[5] Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

  • Modern versions constantly cast doubt and cause people to waste their time
  • We should compare all of these versions and then we must go back to the Hebrew and Greek too
  • You don’t even know Hebrew or Greek
  • “Oh, well, my professor in Bible College knows some Greek!”
  • “I took 2 semester of Greek so I can change God’s words around because I know Greek.”
  • Take the game of Baseball and hitting for example. 1st year player versus a hall of fame hitter like Ty Cobb.
  • Ty Cobb has the highest batting average of all time. 367 avg.
  • That guy knows how to hit. He’ll hit 90 mph fast balls, the best curve balls, the best sliders, change ups, knuckle balls, sinkers, and split fingers.
  • That novice can’t touch a 95 mph fast ball.

Most People Who Want To Go Back To The Greek Don’t Know Greek

  • Same thing with the King James Version translators and these so-called Greek experts of today.
  • “Well, I took a class on Greek.”
  • King James Translators were all experts in many languages or tongues. They had the gift of tongues in the highest. They understand languages.
  • We don’t need to go back to the original languages.
  • That work is finished. We have the word of God in English right here.

Now, we can get to work learning what God wants.

  • We can read entire books of the Bible while others spend hours comparing one verse in 20 different versions.
  • Do you see the deception and the comparison between what the Devil does in Genesis 3:1?
  • So-called “GODLY” people think it’s okay to change God’s words to match our society and our culture.
  • Those aren’t God’s people. Those are truly evil people. God warns us not to change His words.

[6] Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

  • Guaranteed that you will be found a liar when you change God’s words.
  • God even says in Revelation 22:19 that He will reject you and remove your part out of the book of life where you can NEVER be saved.
  • This means He takes His words very seriously. God doesn’t play games.

The Opposite Of Faith Is Doubt

The opposite of faith is doubt.

  • What saves your flesh and your soul? Faith.
  • So what would Satan attack first? Faith.
  • The enemy of faith is doubt. Just adds a little doubt to God’s word.
  • Open your eyes and see what Satan does FIRST right here in the Bible.
  • He questions God’s words. “Did God REALLY say that?”
  • “Is this really God’s words?” Hey, don’t fall for it. This King James Bible is God’s word.

[7] Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

  • The serpent asks, “REALLY??? You can’t eat of EVERY TREE??? Like, why not?”
  • “God said you could eat of all these other trees. Why not this one? Surely it’s not THAT BAD!!!”
  • Have you ever had someone try to talk you into doing something you’re not supposed to do?
  • “Hey, it’s not that bad. Drink it. Smoke this. It makes you feel good. You’ll love it. It’s not that bad. Come on. What’s wrong with you? It’s not going to kill you.”
  • And so on and on. The evil tries to corrupt the good in this world. Bring you down to its level.
  • Proof that the Bible is true is all around us.

[8] Genesis 3:2-4 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

  • See what that tricky little serpent says there at the end of verse 4?
  • “Ye shall not surely die!” So it continues.
  • He says, “You don’t know for sure that you’ll die.” Casts a little more doubt on God’s word.
  • Very tricky. Eases the lies in slowly. Makes you trust him a little more each time.

Just like the world today

  • Changes come slowly over time until people accept things that are very bad
  • Like when the mayor of Shelbyville gives the homosexuals a voice in a meeting
  • Why would you do that? Because you compromise so YOU don’t have to deal with any problems.
  • You don’t want anyone to think bad of you. Who cares what God says, right? That’s what compromise does for you.
  • Implement a little bit of bad at a time. Little baby steps until you don’t even know what happened.
  • Ask kids in college how many genders there are? Infinity is their answer. There aren’t 2 genders any more.
  • The Bible says there are 2 genders.

[9] Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

  • The world today says there are unlimited genders.
  • You want to hear some of them? I do because I think it’s the best comedy I’ve heard in a while. This blows my mind.
  • “Male and Female are just the genders at each end of the spectrum.” This is binary gender.
  • Genderqueer = somewhere in the middle. I don’t feel like I’m either one. I’m just in the middle.
  • Genderfluid = moving between genders. I change when I feel like it.
  • Agender = Genderless. I’m not any gender. You can call me gendervoid. That’s what I feel like.
  • Bigender = I am both male and female at the same time.
  • Polygender = I am multiple genders at once. Not just male and female. I am more than that.
  • Novigender = I am super complex and my gender cannot be described in a single term. Okay?

What Do You Identify As vs. What God Made You

I am considered an AMAB. A Male At Birth. So don’t call me male anymore. I am AMAB.

  • Amazing stuff.
  • Here’s a quote from one of my favorite people in this life, a woman. She said, “I don’t believe that we’ve reached a point in this life where white males identify as Asian women. What has happened?”
  • This person is Pamela Tapp, my wife.
  • How did we get to this point? By small changes a little at a time. By giving into sick, vile, and evil people.
  • That’s how we got here. In my opinion, anyone who believes there’s more than 2 genders should be locked in an insane asylum for life. Give them a Bible to read. Hear the truth.

[10] 2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

  • If you’re reading your Bible and you’re seeing how Satan works today, we aren’t going to be ignorant of his devices. We’ll understand how he works.
  • We’ll see that he casts doubt on the word of God. He’ll try to make little changes at a time until it’s completely gone.

Teenagers Example, Kids in School

  • “Your parents are just too strict. Why won’t they let you do what you want? They must hate you.”
  • “Try this or do this. Trust me. It’s not that bad.”
  • Public school is an evil place because you have all these children who are giving into the evil.
  • They fall for it much easier than good parents. Your parents are telling you not to do certain things because they want what’s best for you.
  • The same goes with God. He’s not saying it just to be tough on us. He’s telling us so that we’ll be safe and sound with Him. He’s trying to protect us from evil.
  • Have you ever heard someone say, “Drugs will open up your mind, man. You got to give them a try. You’ll think of new things you never thought before.” Yeah, that’s true. Evil things will come to mind.

[11] Romans 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

  • Drugs will cause you to come up evil creations. People love music from drug heads because there’s always something new and idiotic in the song.
  • The most popular songs today are clearly the stupidest songs you’ll ever hear

Should Marijuana Be Legal?

Should Marijuana be legal?

  • Marijuana is a plant.
  • Smoking marijuana makes you high and stupid.
  • If it’s legal to some marijuana, does that mean you should do it?
  • If it’s legal to get drunk, does that mean you should do it?
  • We have choices we can make. Don’t let the man-made laws tell you what you should and shouldn’t do.
  • God tells us what we should and shouldn’t do.

It doesn’t matter what the law says is okay to do. You might not go to jail for doing it, but God won’t be happy. Do you care what God says?

  • Marijuana is a plant. Plants shouldn’t be illegal.
  • People always find a way to turn something good into something evil.
  • Smoke marijuana and it will fry your brain and turn you into an idiot. How do I know this?
  • Because I’ve seen enough examples in my life of what it’s done to people I know.
  • Is that what God wants for you? No.

What about food that you know isn’t good for you?

  • Does God want you eating food that isn’t good for you? That makes you feel bad? That makes you sick?
  • “Here, just eat the doughnut. It’s not that bad for you. Have some cake. You’ll feel better.”
  • People who do this or say those things are usually trying to make themselves feel better about eating things they know aren’t good for them. It’s true.
  • “Here, eat this. It’s not that bad for you.”
  • The devil uses curiosity. “Hmmm. I wonder what this is going to do? Is it really that bad?”

[12] Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

  • Devil is still speaking here in verse 5.
  • There’s truth to this statement he makes. He rides the line with truth. He makes it sound good to you.

[13] Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

  • Watch out for the lies in this world that somewhat match the Bible
  • Those people will trick you and talk you into the lies
  • Where are most of these people? In churches. Satan has infiltrated the churches with lies and deception.
  • Billy Graham did the same thing. Most of what he says is true until he pushes it too far. Same thing.
  • The ones that you think are good like Billy Graham have deceived the most people.
  • You must repent of your sins to be saved He says. Wrong. God doesn’t say that. Billy Graham says that.
  • God says you must believe on Jesus Christ to be your Savior.
  • What Billy Graham says sounds great but he’s sent more people to hell than you can imagine.
  • Was Billy Graham a good person? They’ll say, Billy Graham was a good person.
  • Guess what the Bible says, “There is none good, no not one.” We better listen to the Bible and stop listening to people. You better make sure what people say matches the Bible.

[14] Genesis 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

  • Notice that she doesn’t just take it for herself
  • She takes it, eats it, AND gives it to her husband
  • When we’re going to do something bad, we usually look for other people to join us

Getting Candy Out Of The Pantry

  • A good example is children and getting candy out of the pantry
  • Mom says, “Children, don’t eat any of the candy in the pantry.” Mom leaves to go grocery shopping.
  • Let’s just say Dad works at home just as an example. This is just a story. Not real life. Just a story.
  • The candy is calling the children: “Come and get some candy, children. Mom said not to but you know how good this candy tastes. Just take some. Come on!”
  • So the oldest child, let’s just say it’s a girl, goes and gets her younger sister. “Hey, let’s get some candy.”
  • “But Mom said no.” says the younger sister.
  • But the older sister says, “Hey, it’s okay. We’ll just have one piece. Mom won’t know.”
  • And they both take the candy and eat. And it was good. Wasn’t it, girls? Was it good?

You see: Eve is doing the same thing here. I’ll take it, but I’ll give Adam some too. It will be okay.

  • All throughout your life, people will try to get you to join them in doing bad. Makes them feel better about it. So understand this. Watch out for it. Resist the temptation.
  • Walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh.
  • People want to bring you down to their level. Some will HATE you when you won’t do it.
  • Getting a little candy that you’re Mom told you not to touch is a test. Things will get bigger and more evil. What are YOU going to choose? You will need to make those decisions in your life. Get ready for them.

Why did Cain kill Abel?

  • The Bible tells us why Cain killed Abel. He hated Abel. But why? Let’s see.

[15] 1 John 3:11-13 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous. 13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

  • The Bible tells us that Cain slew Abel because Cain’s works were evil and Abel’s works were righteous.
  • If you’re doing good in this world by following the Bible, people will hate you.
  • They’ll say things like: “You really believe that? That’s crazy.” People in churches have said that to me.
  • People who are supposed to believe the Bible won’t believe what it says.
  • People will try to make you look bad. People will call you a liar. People from false churches especially.
  • “Hey, I’m Catholic. I don’t need you to show me what the Bible says.”
  • Those are the people who need it the most.

Evil People Will Want You To Join Them In Evil

Evil people want you to join them and be evil.

  • Evil people want you to think it’s not that bad because EVERYBODY does it.
  • Fornication isn’t that bad because everybody is doing it.
  • Marijuana isn’t that bad. It’s legal in so many states now.
  • Gay marriage isn’t bad. It’s legal in all these states.
  • Come on. This alcohol will take your mind off your problems. Just relax and have some drinks with us.
  • Eve does the same here. This is what people do.

[16] 1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

  • Adam was not deceived by Eve or the serpent. But Adam still gave into it. He knew what he was doing.
  • Eve really believed Satan’s lies. She was truly deceived by that nasty serpent. She believe what he said.

[17] Genesis 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

  • There is truth to what Satan says.
  • But he twists it to make people do evil.
  • “God knows that when you eat this your eyes will be opened and YOU WILL BE AS GODS! You’ll know the difference between good and evil.”
  • All of the very best lies are based on the truth.
  • Movies that are “BASED ON A TRUE STORY” are lies. 100% lies. They twist the story to make it a good movie. If it were truly the true story, it probably wouldn’t make a good movie so they twist it.
  • You’ve seen news stories in which you know the truth. The media twists it so it makes a good story.
  • Evil people. Don’t twist the truth. If you do, you’re just like Satan.
  • The best lies stay the closest to the truth. Then they’re believable because they’re based on the truth.
  • Jesus is the EXACT OPPOSITE of the Devil.
  • Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the TRUTH. The devil is father of lies and deception.

[18] John 8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

  • When you tell people the truth about the Bible, don’t get discouraged because they won’t believe you.
  • Jesus says the same thing right here. “Because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.”
  • Why do you not believe me? Because it’s the truth.
  • God tells you the truth because it’s the best for you. You need to know the truth. But some people don’t want what’s best for them.

Some people want evil more than good.

  • We’ve even known a woman who wouldn’t take a better job because she would be seen as higher class.
  • She didn’t want to be seen as higher class. She wanted to be poor and stay poor.
  • Homeless people have a choice. They make the choice to be lazy and leach off of everyone else.
  • Instead of being productive and helping others, they are all about themselves. Lazy.
  • I don’t feel like finding a bathroom so I’ll just use it in the middle of the sidewalk. That’s lazy. That’s sick.
  • “Someone else will clean it up for me. Who cares about that person? I’m a lazy and selfish BUM.”

[19] Genesis 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

  • Adam and Eve are now ashamed and naked.
  • They made aprons out of fig leaves.
  • An apron, though, is not fully clothed and they realize they’re still naked.

[20] Genesis 3:8-9 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. 9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

  • God is looking for Adam and calling for him.
  • Did God not know where Adam was? Oh yeah, he knew.

[21] Jeremiah 23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

  • You can’t hide your sin from God..You can’t deceive God..You can deceive yourself about sin.
  • You can minimize your sins and act like they aren’t really sins.
  • People who believe in a works based salvation will do this often.
  • I’ve done it myself. I said, “I’m not going to sin any more.” And then I sinned.
  • And I was like: “Well, that really wasn’t very bad so that doesn’t really count.”
  • I thought my salvation was based on MY WORKS. And it’s not.
  • It’s based on a ONE TIME conversion to believing on Jesus Christ to save you. That’s it.
  • You can’t hide from God. Adam tried. God knew exactly where he was and what happened.

[22] Genesis 3:10-12 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? 12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

  • Look at verse 12 there. I think this is funny.
  • The man starts the blame game right here.
  • Adam says, “Hey, YOU gave me the woman. She gave me the fruit. And I ate it. HEY, you started it God.”
  • Now, let’s see what Eve does.

Of Course, Eve Blames It On Someone Else Too

[23] Genesis 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

  • So Eve blames it on the serpent. That serpent beguiled me or misled me.
  • That serpent deceived me Eve said.
  • Listen, it’s always easier to blame someone else.
  • God knows the truth. Take the blame. Take the responsibility and ask for forgiveness.
  • Don’t hide it. Don’t blame someone else.
  • Was Adam and Eve hiding their sin? Oh yes. See this verse in the book of Job.

[24] Job 31:33 If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:

  • So Adam and Eve were hiding their sin by blaming someone else.
  • Don’t do that. Take the blame. Take responsibility.
  • When King David took Uriah’s wife and had him killed, God knew. He couldn’t hide it from God.
  • David took responsibility immediately when Nathan told him he knew.

[25] 2 Samuel 12:13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

  • Do you see the difference in Adam and King David there?
  • King David said, “I HAVE SINNED AGAINST THE LORD.”

“We’re All Just Animals So It’s Not Our Fault”

We’re all just animals, right? That’s what public schools are teaching us.

  • It’s not our fault. We evolve from animals. There’s always some excuse.
  • Liberals like to say that all people are good. We’re all good people.
  • Society influences us the wrong way and that’s why we do bad things.
  • Well, I say, “Who created society?” Man did. We’re not good. That’s what the Bible says.

[26] Romans 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

The world tells us that we are good.

  • Luke Bryan country singers says most people are good.
  • Joel Osteen mega church star says people are good.
  • Billy Graham says unbelievers are going to be there in heaven.
  • The Bible says the opposite of all those people.

People have no excuses.

  • You won’t find excuses in the Bible anywhere.
  • “Well, he’s had a tough life.” “Her parents were bad people.”
  • We always want to make excuses for everyone.
  • Psychiatrists and doctors tell you that it’s not your fault.
  • STAND UP AND MAKE A DECISION. Break the cycle of blame. Get over it. Choose God.
  • “Well, I can’t. It’s too difficult.”

[27] Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

  • Can you break out of that blame game cycle?
  • Sure you can. How do I know? That verse right there says you can.
  • Believe on Jesus Christ, and I guarantee you that you can do anything.
  • What God speaks, you better believe it’s the truth. God ONLY speaks truth.
  • Serial killers have excuses. Their mom treated them badly.
  • School shooters have excuses. All the kids picked on me.
  • What’s the Bible say? There’s no excuse for sin.

[28] James 1:13-15 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

  • When I sin, do you know whose fault it is? It’s mine. I guarantee you it’s mine.
  • No one else made me do it. Was I tempted to do it? Yeah. But did I do it. Yeah, I did.
  • It was my fault.
  • When you sin, is it my fault? Nope, it sure ain’t my fault. It’s your fault.
  • How do I know? Because the Bible tells me so. We make the choices. God doesn’t.
  • I am 100% sure it’s not God’s fault.
  • God gave Adam the woman Eve but God sure didn’t make Adam take that fruit and eat it.

[29] Genesis 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

  • This verse is absolutely amazing, and I want to show you why today.
  • The serpent or snake is cursed above all beasts.
  • UPON THY BELLY YOU GO!!!
  • So before this happened, the serpent wasn’t on his belly.
  • GOD says, “UPON THY BELLY SHALT THOU GO!!!”

Snakes Show Evidence That They Had Legs

  • The serpent must have had legs before this curse.
  • Snakes today show evidence that they once had legs
  • Snakes have been found with stunted legs.
  • Bo constrictors and pythons still have little spurs there.
  • Evolutionists don’t have an answer for this.
  • If you’re evolving, you’re supposed to be getting better and not worse.
  • You wouldn’t go from having legs to losing them.
  • You wouldn’t go from walking to crawling on your belly eating dust for the rest of your days.
  • Do you see that today? The Bible says the serpent is cursed and will crawl on their belly.
  • Evidence for the Bible being correct is everywhere.

[30] Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

  • Enmity or being an enemy is between the serpent and the woman, the serpent’s seed, and the woman’s seed.
  • The woman’s seed will bruise the serpent’s head.
  • The serpent will bruise HIS heel.

[31] Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

  • The seed of the woman is Jesus and the saved people because we are in Jesus. We are His body.
  • Jesus conquers Satan by dying on the cross and arising from the dead.
  • We are in Christ so we will be bruised on our heels too.

In Genesis 3:15, the serpent is Satan.

  • It talks about Satan’s seed.
  • Does Satan have offspring or seed? Let’s see what the Bible says.

[32] John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

  • Jesus is speaking to the Pharisees and He tells them they are of their father the DEVIL.

[33] Matthew 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

  • Do you see where Jesus calls them the child of hell?

[34] Matthew 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

  • Jesus says the tares or the weeds in the field are the children of the wicked one!
  • In Romans Chapter 1, we learn that God rejects people who are evil and wicked.
  • Those people are Satan’s seed.
  • An example: People who are DECEIVED by religion are not the children of the devil.

Some People Are Just Deceived

Just like Eve, they truly are deceived. They aren’t doing it purposely. THEY ARE DECEIVED.

  • If you’re listening to man and not God’s word, you will be deceived.
  • Satan’s seed bruises the heel. They hurt Jesus. They beat Him. Spit on Him.
  • They do it to the saved people of this world too.
  • But guess what? Would you rather step on something and it hurt a little OR be the one getting stepped on and smashed completely?

[35] Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

  • Because of the curse, the woman will have her sorrow greatly multiplied.
  • Sorrow is not a good thing to have. Sad, sorry.
  • God is going to multiply the woman’s conception OR she’s going to conceive more often.
  • In sorrow, she will bring forth children.

There will be sorrow in bringing forth these children.

  • I think this refers to the pain in bringing forth children. And look, it’s painful.
  • I don’t personally know because I am MALE, but I’ve seen it.
  • This woman right here almost shattered all the bones in my hand, and she can’t do that under normal. circumstances. I’ve seen the pain in her eyes when I was right there with her.
  • I’ve heard the screams of pain. That’s sorrow and suffering.

[36] John 16:21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

  • This is the truth.
  • When a woman is giving birth, she is in travail. She has sorrow.
  • Once the child is delivered, though, she remembers no more the anguish.
  • What happens? She is joyful that a man is born into this world!
  • Instant happiness when they see that amazing little baby there. Like a light switch. Pain and sorrow to joy.
  • If she didn’t forget that pain and sorrow, there sure wouldn’t be any more children in this world.
  • Giving birth is very, very painful.
  • Heart attacks, kidney stones, and giving birth to children are some of the most painful experiences according to doctors.
  • Some women also get very sick, nauseous, and many other issues during pregnancy. It’s not fun.
  • God did this because of Eve and what she did.
  • So God designed child birth to be this way. So, is it right to take drugs to ease the pain?
  • Those drugs also go to the baby. So, that’s something to think about. I never thought about it before.
  • But this is God’s design. He did this. Remember that.

The husband will rule over the wife.

  • This carries forth from Eve to the New Testament to today’s world that we live in.
  • Women do not like this, but guess what? God made it this way. I didn’t make it this way. God did.

[37] Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

  • Does that mean to dishonor your wife and treat her badly? God forbid.
  • The ruling over is the EXACT opposite of what the world says.
  • Jesus rules over us, but look at what He’s given us.

[38] 1 Peter 3:5-7 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: 6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. 7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

  • Husbands honor your wife by ruling over your wife.
  • Take care of her. Make sure she has what she needs.
  • Put her above yourself just as Jesus puts others above himself.
  • God says if you do not HONOR your wives, your prayers to Him will be hindered.
  • Women like to take Genesis 3:16 and say, “MY HUSBAND WILL NOT RULE OVER ME!!!”
  • Okay, go against God and see how it turns out for you.
  • Your life will never be full of as much joy as it could have been. Never.

Don’t Go Against The Bible

Go against the Bible and things NEVER turn out for the best. Ever.

  • God designed the wife to be ruled over by her husband. This is the design of God.
  • “HE SHALL RULE OVER THEE.” It doesn’t say anything else.
  • The woman’s DESIRE is for the man to rule over them.
  • Real women don’t like weak men. That’s the reason. It’s God’s design. Be a leader.
  • If the man is lazy and doesn’t want to lead their home, it’s going directly against God.
  • STAND UP AND BE A MAN. BE A LEADER. That’s God’s design for men.
  • Follow God’s design and things turn out amazing.
  • Why is the woman getting all the curses here? Well, now let’s see what the man gets.

[39] Genesis 3:17-19 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

  • What’s the man’s sorrow?
  • The man has to work hard to earn a living ALL THE DAYS of thy life.
  • Get out there and work, sweat, earn your living.
  • The man is out working hard and that is their sorrow and suffering while the woman has sorrow in child birth.

What else do we see in verse 19? “For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”

  • Originally, Adam and Eve were designed to live forever.
  • Because of their sin, we must die a physical death. “For the WAGES of sin is death.”
  • If you want to know why we must die, it’s the sin that we commit. The penalty of sin is death.
  • God says, “You’re dust and unto dust you shall return.” That’s part of the curse.

[40] Genesis 3:20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

  • So this is where Eve receives her name.
  • And we learn that the name EVE means the MOTHER of all living. We all come from Eve’s line. All of us.
  • She is the mother of all living. What’s that mean? We’re all related. We all come from Adam and Eve.
  • There is no one more special than the other because of race.

[41] Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

  • Why is this verse so important?
  • God had to kill an animal to cover their sin and their nakedness.
  • The original design wasn’t for animals to be killed.
  • The original design was for us to eat all plants and fruits of the trees. Seeds, nuts, leaves, fruit.
  • This animal being killed to make coats of skins to cover their sin is symbolic.
  • The Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, was sacrificed to cover our sin.

The animal didn’t sin. The animal is killed as a substitute for our sin. Thank God for that. We get to live.

  • We shouldn’t be harming animals purposely and for fun. I personally think it’s sick and vile to go out. hunting animals for fun and laughing about it.
  • I worked with a man who thought it was hilarious that he paralyzed a mother deer while the fawn or baby deer was trying to get it’s mother to respond. The men were all laughing.
  • Same men who shoot people’s dogs for fun. Sick and nasty men.
  • The animals are sacrificed for our sin. We should respect that and be thankful for that.
  • That doesn’t mean we make animals our god. Animals don’t go above human life. God says so right here.
  • The animal was sacrificed for the human life to remain.

Jesus Christ is our substitute for sin just like the animal that was killed here in Genesis Chapter 3.

  • Genesis Chapter 3 is already beginning to show the picture of Salvation.
  • When they put on the coats of skins, it’s a picture of us putting on Jesus Christ as a covering for our sin.
  • Covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. It’s HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS and not ours in any way.

[42] Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

  • Did you know what Paul calls his works of righteousness in that same chapter of Philippians?
  • You know how we like to think we are good people and do so many good things?
  • Guess what Paul calls those things?
  • He says that he counts them as DUNG. Same thing that God sees.
  • Our righteousness is like filthy and nasty rags before God. Paul says DUNG!!!

[43] Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

  • Man is become like God now to know good and evil.
  • If you eat of the tree of life, you will live forever it says right here.
  • If you remember from Genesis Chapter 2, there are all types of trees in the Garden of Eden.
  • But the Tree of Life is a very important tree wouldn’t you say?
  • There’s one tree of life right there in the middle of the Garden of Eden.

[44] Genesis 3:23-24 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim’s, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

  • God casts man out of the garden of Eden.
  • Cherubim’s (plural) were placed at the East of the garden.
  • We don’t know how many but there’s more than one Cherubim.
  • And we learned what a Cherubim looked like during the Revelation Chapter 3 study we finished.

The Tree Of Life Is Left In The Garden Of Eden

  • The tree of life is left there in the Garden of Eden.
  • Cherubim’s are protecting the Garden of Eden and the tree of life.
  • The tree didn’t go away. God left it there..

[45] Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

  • The tree of life is in the midst of the paradise of God.
  • What is paradise? Where is paradise?
  • 3 times in the entire Bible PARADISE is used. You already see one of those in Revelation 2:7 right there.
  • Let’s look at the other 2 times.

[46] Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

[47] 2 Corinthians 12:2-4 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) 4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

  • He was caught up to the 3rd heaven. He was caught up into paradise.
  • We know there are 3 heavens. We went over that in the Genesis Chapter 1 study.
  • If there is a 3rd heaven, there must be 2 others. First heaven is the sky where birds fly. The second heaven is where the sun, moon, and stars are located.
  • The 3rd heaven is the heaven way beyond where God is located.

Where is this tree of life?

  • Revelation 2:7 says it’s in the paradise of God. That’s the 3rd heaven where God is located.
  • The other 2 times paradise is mentioned is AGAIN talking about the 3rd heaven where God lives.
  • But we also see the tree of life in the Garden of Eden which is being protected by Cherubim’s and a flaming sword.
  • When you eat of the tree of life, you live forever! Remember that.
  • This is physical tree with fruit on the tree. You physically and literally eat of the fruit.
  • If you’re saved, you will eat of the tree of life in heaven one day.

There’s No More Sea In The New Earth

I want to look to Revelation Chapter 22.

  • This Chapter starts out by talking about the NEW EARTH. The first heaven and earth are passed away.
  • No more sea on the new Earth. This is AFTER the Great White Throne judgement.
  • Satan has been sent to the lake of fire. All unbelievers have been sent to the lake of fire.
  • So Revelation 22 is talking about the NEW EARTH. With that in mind, listen to this verse.

[48] Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

  • Look, there’s a tree of life on both sides of the river so now there’s more than 1.
  • The river is lined with the tree of life.
  • It bares 12 different fruits! Do you see that? And guess what else it does? It bares fruit every month.
  • Always in season every month with different fruit. There is more than 1 tree of life.
  • Leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

[49] Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

  • When you win souls to Jesus Christ, you are bringing the message of eternal life.
  • When you’re saved, the fruit you produce is a tree of life.
  • Our NUMBER ONE GOAL here is to always WIN SOULS to Jesus Christ.
  • There is nothing more important than that. Nothing. It’s heaven or hell.

Yes, The Cherubim’s Are Still There

All of that leads up to this point:

  • Are those Cherubim’s still there? Yes, they are still there. And here’s how to prove that.
  • We’re studying the Book of Revelation in detail and we haven’t gotten to Chapter 9 and 16 yet, but remember this for when we get there.
  • Revelation Chapter 9 is a chapter in which God’s wrath is being poured out.
  • Do you remember the Cherubim’s that were placed to guard the Garden of Eden?
  • Does the Bible ever say that they aren’t there any more? No, it doesn’t.
  • I believe there are 4 of them and that they are still there today. This next passage is in the same area of the Garden of Eden.
  • We learned about the River Euphrates in Genesis Chapter 2.

[50] Revelation 9:13-15 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

  • We’re reading about the 7 trumpets of God’s wrath in Chapter 9.
  • This is the SIXTH trumpet of God’s wrath.
  • The trumpets are in the first half of Revelation (1-11) and then we see vials in the second half of Revelation (12-22). 1-11 are in Chronological order and 12-22 start over and in order again.
  • The trumpets and the vials are NOT the same thing but they take place AT THE SAME TIME.
  • This is very clear when you understand the Book of Revelation.
  • Who are these 4 angels that are bound in the river Euphrates?
  • These are the same 4 Cherubim’s that God set there in Genesis Chapter 3.

[51] Revelation 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

  • Now the SIXTH VIAL is being poured out in this verse.
  • This corresponds with the SIXTH TRUMPET and is happening at the same time.
  • So there are 4 angels bound in the GREAT RIVER EUPHRATES right now.
  • When the sixth vial is poured out, the water is dried up and those angels or loosed from the River.

What are they going to do? Slay the third part of men.

  • Those 4 angels will slay a 1/3 of the population that’s left on Earth at this time.
  • The water is also dried up so the kings of the east can come and prepare for the battle of Armageddon.
  • They can’t cross the river unless it’s dried up. Here in this verse, it’s dried up.
  • Those Cherubim’s are still there somewhere in the Euphrates River.
  • The Euphrates River is about 1,740 miles long (about the distance from here to Phoenix, AZ).
  • That’s a 25 hour drive, driving fast too.
  • So imagine how large that river is if it was there for 25 hours of driving.
  • The River is up to 1.7 miles wide at some points and up to 150 feet deep. In other words, it’s a huge river.

The Garden of Eden is hidden under the water.

  • You might think this is crazy but we are to have faith in His word. And this is what the Bible says.
  • Those 4 Cherubim’s have been there since the garden of Eden.
  • They are bound there in the Great River Euphrates it says. Do you believe what God’s word says or not?
  • He hid the Garden and the Cherubim’s in the great river Euphrates.
  • You can’t search out all the depths, and if you do find it THERE IS A FLAMING SWORD.
  • The Cherubim’s are not human. They are living creatures and beasts the Bible says.
  • Again, they aren’t human. We couldn’t live under the water. They aren’t human.
  • God created these 4 cherubim’s for this reason; to stay there in the bottom of the Euphrates until its their time

Have faith in the word of God.

  • I hope you’ve learned something new today.
  • I hope this makes you want to study your Bible more and more to learn the amazing word of God.
  • There’s so much here for us to learn. We thank God for HIS GREAT WORD today.

Let’s pray.
