[2] The title of the sermon today is “ROMANS CHAPTER 10.”

Recap Of Romans Chapter 9

• If you remember, we left off in Romans Chapter 9. We’ve been studying 4 books of the Bible together.
• We have been studying Genesis, Daniel, Romans, and Revelation.
• We’re halfway through 3 of those books. Genesis is going to take a little longer.
• So, let’s see where we are in Romans. Let’s do a quick recap so far.

Paul is telling us in Chapter 9 that he wishes he could be accursed for his brethren.

• That is his family according to the flesh. He calls them his kinsmen.
• That shows us Paul’s love for his physical family. He calls them Israelites.
• But then Paul says they are not all Israel which are of Israel.

[3] Romans 9:6-8 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

• Do you remember this so far?
• The PHYSICAL SEED OF ISRAEL are not all saved, but the SPIRITUAL SEED OF ISRAEL are saved.
• The children of the promise are SAVED and those are the children who HAVE FAITH.
• Faith is putting all your trust and confidence on JESUS CHRIST. That’s faith.
• All people of all ages and all times are saved BY FAITH ALONE.

It’s absolutely crazy to think after reading the Bible that a person is saved because they are JEWISH.

• That’s what false preachers are telling everyone today.
• If you know God, He is not a respecter of persons.
• He didn’t save Aaron’s sons because their dad was Aaron and their uncle was Moses.
• God calls the Pharisees the CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL. They were the physical seed of Abraham.

Does that not prove 100% without a doubt that ALL OF PHYSICAL ISRAEL won’t be saved?

• You’re only saved by grace through faith.
• The Bible never says you’re saved because you descend from Abraham.
• This blows my mind that all these false preachers fall for all of this. Read the Bible.

[4] Romans 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

• The Bible teaches that IF all the physical children of Israel were saved, FAITH would be made VOID.
• Faith wouldn’t matter the Bible says. We’re taught this throughout the Bible. It’s not just Romans.
• So, remember, I’m going over a recap of where we are and what we’ve learned in the Book of Romans.

[5] Romans 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

• Both Jacob and Esau came from the same Father and the same Mother.
• God loves one and God hates the other. What’s that prove?
• All of the physical children of Israel don’t go to heaven just because they are physically of Israel.
• Esau doesn’t stand before God and say, “Hey, my Dad is Isaac. You have to let me in.”
• So, the proof that a physical relationship to ISRAEL doesn’t save you, is there within the Bible.
• The proof is there outside of the Bible too.

Ask the people living in Israel today who practice the false religion of Judaism.

• There’s your proof outside of the Bible. They HATE the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Ask them. Most of them aren’t shy about hating Jesus. They call Him a false Messiah.
• They actually call Jesus Balaam in the Jewish Encyclopedia.
• They say Jesus practiced sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy.

The Talmud Makes Fun Of Jesus Christ

In their TALMUD, which is their BIBLE in comparison to us, they make fun of Jesus.

• He wasn’t born of a virgin. They think it’s a joke. They say He is not the Son of God.
• And they say Jesus was rightfully executed as a blasphemer and an idolater.
• They say that Jesus got the punishment He deserved in hell.
• They say a similar fate awaits HIS FOLLOWERS like you and I.
• Let’s get this straight today. The religion of JUDAISM is HERESY.
• Their TALMUD is filled with damnable heresies.

[6] 2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

• The people who physically descend from Abraham and don’t believe on Jesus are going to hell.
• There’s no doubt about that. Yet, false preachers all around here support ISRAEL today.
• Do they even read the Bible? They can’t be reading it and understanding it.
• The preachers that teach that trash have no fear of God at all. NONE. ZERO. They don’t know Him.
• They support the CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL because they are CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL themselves.
• The Bible is VERY CLEAR hundreds and hundreds of times that FAITH ALONE saves you.

[7] Romans 9:31-33 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. 32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; 33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

• That’s the end of Chapter 9 right there. So, let’s continue in Chapter 10 verse 1.

[8] Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

• So again, we see that the Apostle Paul desires and prays for HIS BRETHREN. They are HIS FAMILY.
• The Apostle Paul is of the TRIBE OF BENJAMIN. Watch what Paul says in Philippians Chapter 3.

[9] Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

• The SAVED are the ones which worship God in the SPIRIT. Why? Because you’ve received the SPIRIT.
• You have no confidence in yourself, in your flesh, to save you. NONE.
• You know that YOUR WORKS can’t save you. Watch what Paul says next.

[10] Philippians 3:4-5 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: 5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

• Paul says if ANY MAN can trust in HIS FLESH, I would be that man. That’s what Paul says.
• He says, “I followed the law. I was circumcised the 8^th day. I came from the stock of Israel.”
• Why do you think Jesus chose Paul for this?
• Paul says, “I am of the tribe of Benjamin. A HEBREW OF THE HEBREWS.”
• “As touching the law, A PHARISEE.” If anyone should have confidence in HIMSELF, that would be me.
• That’s what Paul says. So we know for sure that Paul is the PHYSICAL SEED OF ISRAEL.
• That’s very important to know and understand about the APOSTLE PAUL who was named Saul.
• Let’s continue in Romans Chapter 10 verse 2.

[11] Romans 10:2-3 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

• They have a ZEAL OF GOD but not according to knowledge. The are passionate but not in the right way.
• They have a ZEAL for keeping God’s law, but they don’t understand that the LAW doesn’t give them the righteousness they need to be SAVED.
• Why is that? Because they aren’t keeping the whole law.
• They go about to establish their own righteousness through their own works.
• And they NEVER submit themselves to the righteousness of God which only comes THROUGH GOD.

So, yeah, there’s a lot of religions and a lot of people that are PASSIONATE about their religion.

• That’s what verse 2 is saying. They have a ZEAL OF GOD, but not according to knowledge.
• They are making up their own god based on some false teaching, some false book, some false preacher.
• The Jehovah’s Witness are passionate about going door to door. They break into your home.
• The young Mormon boys go out door to door all day, all year long.
• They believe what they’re doing is right. They trust in their religion.
• They believe their works make them righteous so they work hard. They have a ZEAL OF GOD, passionate.
• But does that make them right? What’s the Bible say? They are ignorant of God’s righteousness.
• They want to establish their own instead of accepting the FREE GIFT that God gives. You don’t work for it.

You Need Knowledge From God To Work For God

You can be excited to get to work for God, but you need knowledge to go with it.

• Where does that knowledge come from? It comes from the WORD OF GOD. Read the Bible.
• Get the knowledge you need. Without knowledge, winning souls is going to be more difficult.

[12] Psalm 14:4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

• You need KNOWLEDGE. And you need to be passionate. You need zeal and knowledge.

[13] Proverbs 19:2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.

• It is not good to be without knowledge that you only find with the WORD OF GOD.
• Ask God to give you knowledge, but show Him you’re willing to work hard.

[14] Proverbs 2:3-6 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; 4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

• We need knowledge. We need wisdom. We need to understand how to win people to God.
• We’re going to need extraordinary knowledge to win souls in this world today.
• It’s not easy. We can’t do it on our own. So, let’s ask God for that knowledge and wisdom.
• Without Him giving us that, we won’t be very successful. We need Him. Let’s rely on Him.
• We don’t want to waste our time. Let’s hand it over God, and ask Him to help us do it HIS WAY.
• We’re going to learn the Bible, study the Bible, work hard, and ask for knowledge and wisdom.
• And then we pray that we’re doing it God’s way so we can bring people to Jesus and to church.

[15] Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

• You don’t have to do the whole law to be righteous. “You can’t keep the whole law,” the Bible says.
• CHRIST IS THE END OF THE LAW FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS. And remember Jesus Christ is ETERNAL.
• He has always been the end of the law FOR ETERNITY. Abraham was only righteous through FAITH.
• If you think you can add the righteousness you need to make it to heaven on your own, listen to this.

[16] Psalm 39:5 Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah.

• Let me repeat that last part: “EVERY MAN AT HIS BEST STATE IS ALTOGETHER VANITY.”
• Vanity is emptiness. Labor that produces NO GOOD. Arrogance.
• If we think we can actually be good enough to make it to heaven on our own, that’s arrogance.
• When you try to make it on your own like the PHARISEES, you are a child of the devil.
• Romans Chapter 10 tells us that people who do that are IGNORANT of God’s righteousness.
• To get to heaven, you MUST have God’s righteousness. That only comes through JESUS CHRIST.
• It’s not of yourselves. You’ll never have that righteousness on your own. EVER.

[17] Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

• You aren’t good. I’m not good. Say that in churches today, and they’ll HATE you.
• Who else responded like that in the Bible? THE PHARISEES. Why?
• Because they were going about to establish their own righteousness.
• That’s what false religions are doing today and everyone is falling for it AGAIN.
• The Bible gives us examples of this EXACT THING throughout the entire Bible.

[18] Psalm 14:3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

• The Bible says it everywhere. You aren’t good. I’m not good. GET OVER IT. Accept it.
• WE ARE BECOME FILTHY the Bible says. Is that true? Yes, it’s true.
• Humble yourself before God. That’s when you can actually be saved.
• You’ll never be saved if you think you’re good enough to get there on your own.

[19] Romans 3:22-23 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

• All have sinned. Are you exempt from that? Nope. You’ve sinned. I’ve sinned. You continue to sin.
• I continue to sin. The only way we’ll make it is through JESUS CHRIST. He saves us.
• We don’t save ourselves. Are you going to stop death? What are you going to do? You can’t.
• But JESUS can. He already proved that. You have righteousness imputed to you BY FAITH that verse says.
• By believing on Jesus to save you. There is no righteous group of people the Bible says right there.

No One Is Righteous And That Includes Jews In Israel

Yes, that means the JEWS IN ISRAEL ARE NOT RIGHTEOUS EITHER. Is that hard to understand?

• Are the physical descendants of Israel righteous just because of who their Dad and Mom is? NO!!!
• “FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD.” That’s you. That’s me. That’s Israel.
• But ask them today if they are righteous? “Oh, yes.” Just like the Pharisees.
• And all of the works based salvation so-called “CHRISTIANS” buddy up with those Jesus hating JEWS.
• You and I are just like them. They are just like us. We’re all going to hell UNLESS we believe on Jesus.
• I didn’t make that up. It’s all in the Bible, and it’s very clear.

[20] Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

• We need to be found in the righteousness of JESUS CHRIST.
• Your own righteousness ONLY comes through following the law; doing everything God says.
• There’s one problem with that. You’ve already broken it. I’ve already broken it.
• So what do we do now? We’re already guilty. EVERYONE IS GUILTY.
• We need righteousness that only comes through JESUS CHRIST and that only comes through FAITH.

[21] Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

• JESUS CHRIST is the end of law for righteousness to EVERY ONE that believeth. Not just some.
• CHRIST IS THE END of you working to establish your own righteousness. All you do is BELIEVE ON HIM.

[22] Romans 10:5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

• God gave Moses the law. Moses gave that law. You can be righteous by keeping the law.
• You can gain eternal life if you keep the whole law. The Bible says so.

[23] Leviticus 18:4-5 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God. 5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.

• Notice who says this. GOD SAYS, “If you keep my law, you shall LIVE in those laws. You will have life.”

[24] Ezekiel 20:11 And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.

• If you follow the whole law, you’re righteous.
• You can establish your own righteousness by following the WHOLE LAW. You will LIVE in them.

[25] Romans 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

• “The doers of the law shall be justified.” If you do the whole law, you will be justified on your own.
• You won’t need Jesus. Why? Because you won’t be a sinner if you keep the whole law your whole life.
• The entire point the Bible is making when it says this is YOU CAN’T DO IT. You can’t keep the whole law.
• So yes, righteousness comes to you IF you keep the whole law. But you can’t keep the whole law.

[26] Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

SHOULD you keep the law, though? Yes, you should give it your best shot every single day.

• It’s not okay to sin. But you will mess up. You should HATE when you sin.
• God is saying, “Hey, it’s okay because you have MY RIGHTEOUSNESS now, but don’t do it again.”
• And you mess up again and again. But put some effort forth to walk in the Spirit.
• If you walk in the Spirit, you can keep the law. But sometimes you choose the flesh and you sin.

Christ Is The End Of The Law “FOR” Righteousness

So, CHRIST is the end of the law “FOR” righteousness.

• But He didn’t come to get rid of the law. He is NOT the end of the law. That’s not what Romans 10:4 says.
• Jesus did not destroy the law. He came to fulfill the law. He came to give you righteousness.
• When you have the SPIRIT, you can fulfill the law.

[27] Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

• He is the end of the law FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
• Why? Because you can’t keep the whole law to gain your own righteousness.
• If you’ve lied, you’ve broken the whole law. If you’ve had a bad thought, you’ve broken the whole law.

[28] James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

• So again, JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY to get the righteousness you need to enter into heaven.
• Yes, we aren’t under the law. We are under grace. But that doesn’t mean we get rid of the law.
• It simply means we’re saved BY GRACE through FAITH. Now, go follow the law through the SPIRIT.
• That’s what it means when Jesus came to FULFIL the law. He came so we can follow it through HIS SPIRIT.

[29] John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

• Jesus didn’t say go do whatever you want now because you’re SAVED.
• Being under grace doesn’t mean you should go do whatever you want.

[30] Romans 6:14-15 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

• We know that we have all of this right today because ALL OF SCRIPTURE agrees with this.
• If you’ve believed on Jesus Christ, you’re saved. You have eternal life. You have the Holy Spirit.
• But you still get a choice each day to sin or not to sin. If you sin, you don’t lose eternal life.
• That makes no sense. It’s eternal. We’re under GRACE.
• That means we’ve taken the gift that we don’t deserve. We DON’T DESERVE IT.
• “Shall we sin, though, because we are not under the law but under grace?” GOD FORBID!!!

[31] Romans 10:6-8 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) 7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

• I put all of those 3 verses together so I can show you that this comes from Deuteronomy Chapter 30.

[32] Deuteronomy 30:11-14 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. 12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

• The WORD OF GOD is Jesus Christ. That’s the entire key to Romans 10:6-8.
• The word is very near unto you. It’s in your mouth, and it’s in your heart.
• It’s there so you MAY DO IT. Once you’re saved, the WORD OF GOD is within you.
• Deuteronomy tells us the word of God is not far off.
• With that said from the parallel passage in Deuteronomy Chapter 30, let’s read Romans 10:6-8 again.
• And remember, we were JUST talking about keeping the law in verse 5 of Romans Chapter 10.

[33] Romans 10:6-8 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) 7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

• Jesus has already been here for you and I. Jesus has already died for you and for I.
• All you have to do is believe that. When you do, the WORD is NEAR THEE. It’s in your mouth.
• It’s in your heart. THE WORD OF FAITH is there with you. Why? So you can keep the commandments.
• Do you see this now? Deuteronomy Chapter 30 is talking about JESUS CHRIST.
• Keep the law by having the SPIRIT OF GOD within you. Then you can choose to do it OR not.

People In The Old Testament Were Saved By Faith

So, this is more proof that people in the Old Testament were saved BY FAITH.

• Actually, you MUST understand that ALL PEOPLE from all ages and all times are saved the same way.
• There is no doubt that this is 100% the truth. There aren’t different dispensations.
• Some false preachers say that people were saved by works in the Old Testament.
• So, I ask today? Was Noah saved by works?

[34] Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

• Was Abraham saved by works?

[35] Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

• Was Enos saved by works?

[36] Genesis 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

• Was King David saved by works?

[37] Psalm 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.

• Was King Saul saved by works? The Bible says King Saul went to heaven.

[38] 1 Samuel 28:19 Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.

• That’s Samuel speaking right there and Samuel is in heaven.
• “TOMORROW shalt thou and thy sons be with me.” That’s what Samuel says.
• That includes Jonathan who is a picture of Jesus Christ within the Bible.
• So Paul just said in Romans 10 verse 8 that HE PREACHES THE WORD OF FAITH.
• Not works. He preaches FAITH to be saved. The entire Bible teaches this, and we will teach the same.

Hebrews Chapter 11 tells us all these people from the Old Testament saved by FAITH.

• Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson.
• Jephthah, David, Samuel. They are all from the Old Testament!!! We’re all saved the same way. FAITH.

[39] Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

• If you believe in YOUR HEART the God raised Jesus Christ from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED.
• If there is only one person in God, how could God raise Jesus from the dead?
• Some people say Jesus didn’t go to hell. THE DEAD ARE IN HELL. The living don’t go to hell.
• So, it appears in this verse that you have to confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth AND
• Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. But, is that what it says?
• If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart, are you saved?
• If you only believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, are you saved?

[40] John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

[41] John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

[42] John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

• Does Jesus say that you MUST confess Him with your mouth? No, He doesn’t.
• He says BELIEVE ON ME and you HAVE everlasting life.
• So, MUST you confess with your mouth the LORD JESUS to be saved?
• Romans 10:9 does not say that. If you confess and believe in your heart, you’re saved.
• That’s a true statement. You can put anything else you want with BELEIVING ON JESUS and you’re saved.

The Only Requirement To Be Saved Is Believing “ON” The Lord Jesus Christ

It’s important to notice that it takes NOTHING ELSE but believing on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved.

• The entire Book of Romans is teaching this again and again and again.
• It doesn’t say you MUST be baptized, go to church, be a good person, feed the homeless, be nice.
• Be patient, be kind. It doesn’t say YOU HAVE TO DO any of those things because salvation is not of you.
• Now, you SHOULD do all of those things but they don’t save you.
• YOU SHOULD CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH THE LORD JESUS!!! GET IT OUT!!!

[43] Psalm 116:10-13 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted: 11 I said in my haste, All men are liars. 12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me? 13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

• King David says, “I BELIEVED THEREFORE HAVE I SPOKEN. I will call upon the name of the Lord.”

[44] 2 Corinthians 4:13-14 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

• Paul says, “We also believe AND therefore speak.” If you believe, you should speak.
• You should be telling others that you believe. Think about that.
• Somebody else could have lost their faith because of what’s happened in this world.
• If you speak your FAITH, maybe that will WAKE THEIR FAITH UP so it starts growing again.

[45] Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

• Sometimes speaking HELPS YOU to believe. When I speak the word of God in these sermons, it helps me.
• You can study the WORD OF GOD all you want, BUT you need to speak it and get it out to others.
• If you believe, you should be speaking it with all you have. But believing saves you. The next verse says so.

[46] Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

• “THE SCRIPTURE SAITH.” That means it’s written in the Old Testament.
• But it’s also repeated in Romans Chapter 9 too. Remember, we’re in Chapter 10.

[47] Romans 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

• This comes from Isaiah Chapter 28 verse 16.

[48] Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

• We also see it in 2 Peter in the New Testament.

[49] 1 Peter 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

• Shall not be confounded means you won’t be in disorder or dismayed or ashamed or silenced.
• Isaiah 28:18 even says, “YOU AGREEMENT WITH HELL SHALL NOT STAND.”
• Your covenant with death shall be disannulled or made void. You won’t die. You won’t be ashamed.
• Why? Because Jesus Christ is standing up for you now. Your sins have been forgiven.
• They will NEVER be counted to your soul ever again. You have everlasting life.

[50] Romans 10:12-13 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

• So, are the physical children of Israel some kind of chosen people because they have a different Dad?
• “FOR THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE JEW AND THE GREEK.”
• We’re not saved in different ways. That’s exactly what this SCRIPTURE is saying.
• We’re talking about SALVATION. Yeah, we’re talking about SALVATION. Really? SALVATION?
• Yeah, we’re talking about SALVATION. See verse 13. We’re talking about being saved.
• “FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.”
• And just to show you how connected the Old and New Testament are, watch this.

[51] Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

[52] Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

• That’s the same chapter of ACTS that false religions and false preachers use to say that YOU MUST BE BAPTIZED to be saved.
• The Bible doesn’t say that anywhere. They took one verse, Acts 2:38, and twisted it all up.
• And formed their entire false religion on ONE TWISTED VERSE.
• So, in order to call on HIM, what do you have to do first? Let’s see what the next verse says.

[53] Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

• In order to call on JESUS, you have to first believe on HIM. “Jesus, please save me.”
• That’s it. If you truly believe in your heart, you’re saved. That’s all it takes.
• Simply speaking the words, “Jesus, please save me,” without believing THAT WON’T SAVE YOU.
• The believing in your heart is what saves you.

Preaching Leads To People Being Saved

“How shall they hear without a preacher?” You’ve been saved through preaching of the WORD OF GOD.

• That’s why you need to speak up. What if you never speak up? Yes, you’re saved.
• But that’s selfish if you’re not willing to preach it to someone else.
• They aren’t going to hear it without a preacher.
• And that’s needed in this world today more than anything. MORE THAN ANYTHING.

[54] 2 Timothy 4:17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

• The Lord will stand with you as you preach. The Lord will strengthen you as you preach.
• “BY YOU THE TRUTH CAN BE PREACHED IN THIS WORLD.” We MUST get this done for God.
• Won’t it be awesome one day in heaven when the person you helped to get there comes up to you?
• And that person says, “You know, I didn’t really want you at my door that day, but I’m so glad you came.”
• And you might say, “You know, I almost gave up on preaching the Gospel but I kept going.”
• “Do you know how many times I got rejected? But you were worth it. And I’m glad I kept going.”

[55] Titus 1:3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

• Preaching the GOSPEL has been committed unto you.
• Let’s think of the excuses. “Well, I don’t know the Bible that well.”
• “I don’t talk that well. I can’t do it. It’s too difficult.” And I say, “BOLOGNA.”

And you still might say, “Well, I don’t know the Bible well enough.”

• Do you know the Apostle Paul who wrote the Book of Romans?
• He got saved and the next day he was in the synagogues preaching the GOSPEL. He just learned it.
• And people were after him. They wanted to kill him. He kept going. The Gospel is simple.
• “BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED.”

If you’re saved, you already know more than the VAST MAJORITY of people out there.

• It’s time for you to go do the work that God needs us to do. You do make a difference.
• That is the REASON you’re here on earth today. Your sole purpose is to get more people to heaven.
• And guess what? We’ll all be together for eternity.
• Won’t it be sad if you get to heaven and there’s no one there that you helped to save?

[56] 1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

• You can help save people through PREACHING THE GOSPEL. Tell them about Jesus.

If You’re Saved, You’ve Been Chosen By God To Preach The Gospel

[57] Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

• Do you want to please God? You’re sent from God.
• You’re hearing this right now. That means God is talking to you.
• “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THEM THAT PREACH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE.”
• When you take the Gospel to someone, it’s GLAD TIDINGS OF GOOD THINGS!!! Know that.
• Let’s have some joy in our life by getting the GOSPEL out there. BE BOLD. Speak it out.

[58] Isaiah 40:9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

[59] Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

• You can do this. The SPIRIT OF GOD is with you. You can bind up the brokenhearted.
• You can sew their broken hearts back together through Jesus Christ.
• You are there to PROCLAIM LIBERTY to the captives.

[60] Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

• Fear not. You are bringing GOOD TIDINGS of GREAT JOY to ALL PEOPLE.
• Understand that God gave you the greatest work that could ever be done. It is the greatest job on earth.
• And you’ll get the greatest rewards that you could ever imagine. Yes, you’ll have to wait for them.
• But they’ll be worth it. You’ll see all those people in heaven one day with you.

[61] Romans 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

• Some people won’t believe the Gospel. The Jews killed Jesus. They didn’t believe Jesus.
• Where does Romans 10:16 come from in SCRIPTURE. Isaiah 53 verse 1. Let’s read.

[62] Isaiah 53:1-3 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

• That’s clearly talking about Jesus Christ. Read all of Isaiah Chapter 53 when you get home today.
• It’s a short chapter about Jesus Christ. That’s what Romans 10:16 is talking about.
• The GOSPEL is Isaiah Chapter 53. And we know that most people don’t OBEY the GOSPEL.
• It’s so simple. All you have to do is BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. You need FAITH. That’s it.

[63] Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

• You want faith? You want to be saved? You need to hear. What do you need to hear? The WORD OF GOD.
• If you’ve heard it and believed it, why don’t you share it with the next person? Are you ashamed?
• Are you afraid of being rejected? Let’s get rid of that fear. YOU WILL BE REJECTED. Get over it.
• And you need to use the WORD OF GOD, the BIBLE to get people saved.
• They need to hear the words in the Bible. Not your words. The SCRIPTURE. Are you ashamed?

[64] Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

• Some people are going to HATE YOU when you preach the Gospel. That’s okay. People will hate you.
• They will despise you. YOU WILL MAKE THEM SICK.
• We just read that Jesus Christ HIMSELF was despised and rejected of men. A man of sorrows.
• You can have some of that too. Be rejected and despised for JESUS CHRIST. Do it for HIM.
• Do you know what He did for you? HE DIED FOR YOU. He took all your sin to a literal burning hell.
• He burned for you. He went to hell for you. You can’t take a little rejection from some people? You can.

Yes, People Have Heard And God Shows Himself To All People

[65] Romans 10:18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

• The Bible tells us that people have heard. Their sound went into all the earth.
• But we get new generations after new generations. They need to have some preaching.
• But understand that GOD shows HIMSELF to all people. He says so.

[66] Romans 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

• But you coming to them with the GOSPEL will get them saved.
• God is working within them to change their mind about HIM. But they need to hear the truth.
• Some people need to hear the Gospel many, many times before they BELIEVE.
• People in false religions need to hear it more than others. It might take 30 times.
• But I guarantee they’ll get there faster if you show them what the BIBLE says.

[67] Romans 10:19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

• Yes, the children of Israel knew all about God. They saw what He did over and over and over again.
• That verse comes from Deuteronomy Chapter 32 verse 21. This is the SONG OF MOSES.

[68] Deuteronomy 32:20-21 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith. 21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

• They have no faith. Even though they saw everything they had no faith.
• They went after other gods. They didn’t believe so God brought evil upon them.
• You don’t want to be like that. You don’t want your family and friends to be like that.
• Our country as a whole RIGHT NOW is definitely like that. We better turn back to God.

[69] Romans 10:20-21 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. 21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

• Esaias is the prophet ISAIAH. He is VERY BOLD. We need to be like that.
• “I WAS FOUND OF THEM THAT SOUGHT ME NOT.”
• This is talking about the GENTILES. It’s a prophecy. Watch what Isaiah 65 verse 1 and 2 say.

[70] Isaiah 65:1-2 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name. 2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;

• We’ve found God. He’s saved us. He saves all who have FAITH IN HIM.
• He held out his hand to the children of Israel and they rejected Him over and over again.
• God gets sick of being rejected over and over again. Don’t continue to reject the ONE TRUE GOD.

And yes, I’m talking to all the people who support false “CHRISTIAN” churches in this area.

• If you don’t believe on JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD, to save you 100% then you aren’t Christian.
• If you think you can lose eternal life, you aren’t CHRISTIAN. You don’t understand the Gospel.
• You don’t believe the word of God. God is holding HIS HANDS out to you just like the children of Israel.
• Are you going to be like the children of Israel? You know God. Are you coming over to HIS side or not.
• Are you going to stick with a false preacher, a false church? Or, are you coming over to God’s side?
• Are you going to be a REBELLIOUS people who tell lies about God continuously over and over again?

If I told you that my name is Josh, I have 3 children, I am driving a Black Ford Explorer, would you believe me?

• Or, would you say, “No, your name isn’t Josh. You don’t have 3 children.”
• What are you calling me when you say that? You’re calling me a liar. Are you calling me a liar?
• Yeah, you are. You want some of me? You’re going to call me a liar?
• God says the same thing I just said all throughout the Bible. He’s much harsher than me.
• God is much more offensive than me. Read the Bible FALSE PREACHERS!!!

False Preachers, Stop Calling God Almighty A Liar

When a false preacher stands up and says something different than God, they are calling God a liar.

• I take that very seriously, and I’m sick of it. It’s time to CONTEND for the FAITH.
• Our last church taught my children they can lose their salvation.
• Who taught that? THE PASTOR. The false preacher. Jesus says different. Who do you believe?
• Are you going to smack God’s hand away and be like the children of Israel?
• Are you going to go after your false god that suits you better? Is that what you want?
• Watch what this says, and we’ll close this sermon out.

[71] 1 John 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

• Who is the greater witness? Some man? OR GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF?
• Who are you going to trust more? GOD TESTIFIES OF HIS SON. There is no greater witness.

[72] 1 John 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

• I believe on the SON OF GOD. I have the SPIRIT OF GOD within me. I have the WITNESS within me.
• How do I know the false preachers that teach you can lose salvation don’t have the witness?
• “HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT GOD HATH MADE HIM A LIAR.”
• And why have you made God a liar? Because you don’t believe THE RECORD that God gave of HIS SON.
• Well, what does that mean? Let’s read the next verse. You don’t believe what God said.
• And here’s what He said.

[73] 1 John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

• God has GIVEN ME eternal life. I took it. I have it. He doesn’t take ETERNAL LIFE away.
• Do you believe that or not? The LIFE is in HIS SON. It doesn’t come through you and what you do.
• It’s not YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. It’s the righteousness of God HIMSELF.
• It’s not you oh great false CHRISTIAN. Oh almighty false Christian who made up a false God. It’s not you.
• You aren’t on some HIGHER RUNG working your way to eternal life. You made that up in your mind.
• GOD GAVE US ETERNAL LIFE AND THIS LIFE IS IN HIS SON. I have it right now.

[74] 1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

• I have the Son. Do you have the Son? If so, what do you have? ETERNAL LIFE. It never ends.
• You can’t lose it. Who said you can’t lose it? God did. False preacher man, you know nothing!!!
• Stop preaching lies!!! You’re making god out to be a liar. And He sure isn’t. You ARE.

[75] 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

• I believe on the name of the SON OF GOD. I KNOW I HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.
• I KNOW THAT I BELIEVE ON THE SON OF GOD. I’m saved. That’s what that says!!! How about you?
• The false preachers believe on themselves because they think they are great.

I know I’m not great. I’m not good. I’m not even just okay. I’m filthy. I’m a great sinner.

• But I understand that JESUS says He’ll save me, and I know that He’ll do what He says.
• I have no doubt. I have not one ounce of doubt. Why? Because I know He is not the liar.
• I know 100% for sure that MEN are the liars. God doesn’t lie. I love God, and I’m sticking with Him.
• Take HIS HAND today and forget the lying men of this world. Hear the WORD OF GOD. The truth.
