[2] The title of the sermon today is “REVELATION CHAPTER 16.”

God’s Wrath Is Being Poured Out

• In the last chapter, Revelation Chapter 15, we saw the 7 vials full of the wrath of God.
• One of the 4 beasts gave the 7 angels the 7 vials.
• And then we see the temple in heaven filled with smoke from the glory of God.
• No man can enter into the temple UNTIL the 7 plagues from the 7 vials are fulfilled.
• So, we got a short introduction to the 7 vials in Chapter 15.
• Now, in Chapter 16, we’re going to see all 7 vials of God’s wrath being poured out.
• So, keep in mind as we start Revelation Chapter 16, the 7 angels have already been given the 7 vials.

[3] Revelation 16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

• A great voice comes out of the temple giving commands to the 7 angels to pour out the 7 vials.

[4] Revelation 16:2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

• There’s the first VIAL of God’s wrath.
• Previously we learned that the 7 trumpets of God’s wrath line up perfectly with the 7 vials.
• The trumpets of God’s wrath are in Revelation Chapter 8, Chapter 9, and Chapter 11.
• Trumpets 1 through 4 are in Revelation Chapter 8
• Trumpets 5 and 6 are in Chapter 9 and Trumpet 7 is in Revelation Chapter 11.

The trumpets and the vials are NOT the exact same thing, obviously.

• But they line up with each other and are poured out concurrently with the 7 trumpets.
• The order of events in the first and second half of Revelation prove that the trumpets and vials line up.
• All we have to do is put the trumpets and the vials side by side and you can see they line up perfectly.
• So, this means the trumpet judgement takes place and the vial is poured out.

Just as we did in the Revelation Chapter 14 sermon, let’s do a quick overview of the entire Book of Revelation.

• In Revelation Chapter 1, we see the Apostle John in the Isle of Patmos. That is an actual island.
• You can see this in the map on the screen there. You see the island Patmos out in the Mediterranean Sea.

• In Chapter 1, John is writing the Book of Revelation in the first century after the death of Jesus Christ.
• In Revelation Chapter 2 and 3, we see John writing LETTERS to the 7 actual churches in Asia.
• These are ACTUAL CHRISTIAN churches at that time. You can see their locations on the map.
• Those 7 literal churches no longer exist. They do not represent CHURCH AGES. That’s false doctrine.

Do you remember that JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF gives us the order of events in the Book of Revelation?

• He tells John to write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the hereafter.
• In other words, write the things from the past, the present things, and the future things.

[6] Revelation 1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

• Chapters 1, 2, and 3 cover the past and the present.
• When we hit Chapter 4, this begins to cover future events.
• It’s very obvious and clear when you start studying this.
• Watch what the first verse in Revelation 4 starts out with.

[7] Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

• AFTER THIS. So obviously this is the HEREAFTER phase or the future events in Revelation.
• The 7 churches are not future events and future church ages.
• And that verse on the screen is definitely not the RAPTURE.
• It’s JOHN ALONE being caught up to heaven in the SPIRIT to witness what’s going to happen.
• And then John is writing all of this down for us to see in the Book of Revelation.

The Book Of Revelation Is In Chronological Order

In Revelation Chapter 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, we see all of the FUTURE events in chronological order.

• You’ll see the TRIBULATION or the first 5 seals being opened. This happens in Chapter 6.
• This is not God’s wrath being poured out and that’s very clear.
• Then you’ll see the sun and moon being darkened and you know that’s the DAY OF THE LORD.
• This is the SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST. He comes in the clouds.

On the Day of the Lord, the RAPTURE happens. This happens in Revelation Chapter 7.

• You’ll see a large multitude of people SUDDENLY showing up in heaven. That’s the rapture.
• In Revelation 8, 9, 10, and 11 we see God’s wrath being poured out with the 7 trumpets.
• So, in summary, we see TRIBULATION, the Lord’s Day, and then God’s wrath being poured out.
• When the SEVENTH TRUMPET sounds, the kingdoms of this world ARE BECOME the kingdoms of our Lord.

[8] Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

• With that said, let’s look at the overview chart again.
• And remember, this is a VERY ROUGH overview chart.

• So, Revelation 1 through 11 are in order. We start over in Chapter 12. Then we’re in order again.
• And notice where we are on the right side of the chart. We’re at Chapter 16.
• We’re going to see God’s wrath being poured out with the SEVEN VIALS.
• Then, we’ll see God’s wrath continue with the destruction of Babylon.
• Then the Battle of Armageddon, the Great White Throne Judgment, and then finally what do we see?
• A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH in the final 2 chapters of the Book of Revelation.

So, in the Book of Revelation, we see the TRIBULATION covered twice.

• We see the Day of the Lord, the Second Coming of Jesus, the Rapture all covered twice.
• We see God’s wrath being covered twice.
• Remember, to learn the Book of Revelation, cut it straight down the middle. 1-11 and 12-22.
• When you do that, you’ll see that the trumpets of God’s wrath and the vials of God’s wrath line up.
• And remember, we’re looking at the vials of God’s wrath in Chapter 16 today.

VIALS are VIALS because something is being POURED OUT upon something.

• First vial is poured out UPON the earth.
• Second vial is poured out UPON the sea.
• Third vial poured out UPON the rivers and fountains of waters.
• Fourth vial is poured out upon the sun.
• Fifth vial is poured out upon the seat of the beast.
• Sixth vial is poured out upon the great river Euphrates.
• Seventh vial is poured out INTO the air.
• So, the trumpets and the vials are NOT the exact same thing OR they wouldn’t be different.
• A trumpet does not equal a vial and a vial does not equal a trumpet.

With that said, let’s look at your Daniel’s 70^th week charts and find the trumpets and vials.

• They are in the SECOND HALF of Daniel’s 70^th week.
• We’re going to compare the trumpets and the vials.
• Trumpet 1 is in Revelation 8:7 and Vial 1 is in Revelation 16:2.

• The first trumpet and vial is God’s wrath being poured out upon the earth.
• It’s VERY clear that both are God’s wrath upon the earth.
• With the trumpet, the third part of trees are burned up. ALL green grass is burnt up.
• With the vial, a noisome and grievous sore upon all men who have the mark of the beast ON EARTH.
• You see them both being poured out UPON THE EARTH. But you see that they are different judgements.

Let’s Go Over Each Vial In Detail

We’ve went over the trumpet judgements in detail, but as we compare each trumpet and vial, I want to go over each vial in detail.

• With the first vial, we see SORES. Noisome and grievous SORES upon man.
• Noisome is hurtful, destructive, injurious, offensive to the smell or other senses, disgusting.
• Grievous is afflictive, painful, causing grief and sorrow, distressing, great and atrocious, irritating.
• Hurtful and destructive. We’ve seen SORES throughout the Bible that give us more detail.

[11] Exodus 9:9-11 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt. 10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast. 11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

• They couldn’t STAND before Moses because of the BOILS. This isn’t good. It’s nasty. It stinks.

[12] Deuteronomy 28:27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.

• Does that sound fun to you? It cannot be healed. It doesn’t go away.
• Notice what word EMERODS sounds like in our English today. HEMORRHOIDS.
• Satan afflicted Job with BOILS because Satan told God that he knew he would turn his back on him then.
• Look, one of the worst things you can get is SORES and BOILS all over your body.

[13] Job 2:7-9 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown. 8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes. 9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

• Job scrapes himself. Think of how nasty that is. Hey, this is in the Bible so you need to see it.
• His wife is saying, “Hey Job, look at yourself. You’re nasty. You still retain your integrity?”

[14] Isaiah 1:6 From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

• This is serious stuff that’s going to happen in the first vial. You don’t want any part of that.
• How do you avoid it? Simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as YOUR ONLY SAVIOR.
• Nobody else can save you from these things but JESUS CHRIST.
• When I was studying SORES for this sermon, I came upon this Scripture and this is a warning for women.

[15] Isaiah 3:16-17 Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: 17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.

• God says, “Hey, you want to walk around all prideful, arrogant, having a high opinion of yourself?”
• “You want to look like that and dress like that? Okay, here’s what I’ll give you.”
• “I’ll smite you with a scab from your head all the way down to your secret parts.”
• Does that sound like fun to you? Don’t go walking around like that. Like you think you’re something great.
• Watch what else God says in this warning. Continuing in verse 18.

[16] Isaiah 3:18 In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,

• I think their round tires like the moon had something to do with them wearing this moon ornament on their shoes.
• This showed they were above the common people. They were from the moon, a higher place.

Many People Believe They Are “Higher” Than Others

[17] Isaiah 3:19-23 The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, 20 The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings, 21 The rings, and nose jewels, 22 The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins, 23 The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.

• In other words, you don’t have to dress up and look all fancy with all your ornaments.
• Hey, look at what the Bible says. Do you see the penalty God can give you for that?
• Don’t take a chance. God will do what He says. Have some fear of God within you.
• Watch what happens in verse 24.

[18] Isaiah 3:24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

• The scabs, the boils, the sores will be BURNING. That’s what you’ll have instead of beauty.
• And to get some relief from the burning, watch what you’ll welcome because of these SORES.

[19] Luke 16:20-21 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

• The sores will hurt so bad that you’ll desire for dogs to come and lick the sores on your body.
• So, the SORES that we see in the first vial are no joke. You don’t want any of that.
• Remember, the first trumpet and vial is different but they are both UPON THE EARTH.
• Now, let’s move to the second trumpet and the second vial and compare those.

• Now, we see that the second trumpet and second vial are affecting the SEA.
• It’s obvious so far that the trumpets and vials go together. First the earth. Now the sea.
• It looks like the trumpet is first because fire is cast into the sea.
• A third part of the sea becomes blood. Third of the sea creatures die. Third part of ships destroyed.
• And then the vial is poured out upon the sea and the ENTIRE SEA becomes as blood.
• EVERY LIVING SOUL dies in the sea. Every human on ships and boats DIE.
• So, you can see how the trumpet is probably first and it hits 1/3 part of the sea.
• Then the vial finishes off the rest of the sea. Imagine the entire sea becoming BLOOD. Everything dies.

[21] Exodus 7:21 And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

• Imagine the STINK if 100% of sea life dies and all humans on the ocean at the time die too.
• We can’t even imagine how many things that would be. The entire world will stink so bad.
• I don’t want to be here for that. You don’t either.

The Book Of Revelation Is Cut In Half

Again, all of this is proof that the Book of Revelation is cut in half and the events repeat.

• You can clearly see the trumpets and vials are following each other perfectly.
• The trumpets are not the vials. They are different. But we’re seeing how they go together.
• And it’s not just the trumpets and vials that are proof Revelation is cut in half.
• You see tribulation repeated, the rapture is repeated, God’s wrath is repeated.
• Let’s move to the THIRD trumpet and THIRD vial.

• So now we see that TRUMPET 3 and VIAL 3 are poured out upon the rivers and fountains of waters.
• Do you see how these are all matching perfectly? I’m not making this up as you can see.
• First was the earth, second was the sea, now the rivers and fountains of waters.
• With the third vial, it’s not just the SEA it’s also the rivers and fountains of waters are turned to blood.
• So now, ALL WATER upon the earth has been turned to blood. That’s all they have to drink now.
• They don’t have WATER to drink ANY MORE. Is this fair? Oh yeah, it’s fair.
• Why? Verse 5 and 6 of Revelation Chapter 16 tells us this.

[23] Revelation 16:5-7 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. 6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. 7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

• The angel says that this is a righteous judgement. Why?
• Because they shed the blood of saints and prophets. THEY ARE WORTHY TO DRINK BLOOD.

[24] Deuteronomy 32:43 Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

• God pays back. God gets vengeance for you. You don’t do it. God does it. He does it with VIAL #3.

[25] Isaiah 49:26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

• This is the TRUE NATURE of God. He will repay. He’s not this mellowed out false Jesus like the world says.
• He’s THE living God, and He sees everything. He knows everything. He’s not lazy. He doesn’t get tired.
• He doesn’t mellow out. He IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY, AND FOREVER.
• Let’s look at the fourth trumpet and fourth vial.

[26]

• The FOURTH trumpet affects a third part of THE SUN, the moon, and the stars.
• The FOURTH vial is poured out upon THE SUN. So obviously the trumpets and vials are different.
• But they are related and are happening concurrently with each other.
• With the trumpet, the 1/3 part of the sun, moon, and stars no longer give their light.
• 4 hours of the day is complete darkness. 4 hours of the night is complete darkness.

The Fourth Vial Is Poured Out Upon The Sun

But what do we see with the FOURTH VIAL?

• We see it being poured out upon the sun. Power is given to SCORCH MEN WITH FIRE!!!
• He’s burning people with FIRE. They blaspheme the name of God. They repent not to give God glory.
• They STILL won’t admit that GOD IS GOD. They hate God. Do they deserve this? Yes they do.
• PRAISE GOD that He’s taking care of this evil and wicked people. He’s paying them back.
• The SUN scorches these people with BURNING FIRE. They “were SCORCHED with GREAT HEAT.”
• They would rather have that than change their mind and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Why is that? They have stiffened their neck and hardened their heart to God.

[27] 2 Chronicles 30:8 Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.

• King Hezekiah of Judah sent that out in a letter to all of Israel and all of Judah.
• Don’t you PRAY that we had a leader like that in this world? We don’t have one in this world today.

[28] Acts 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

• That’s Stephen in the Book of Acts preaching before they killed him.
• He’s trying to help them. He’s trying to tell them the truth, and they kill him. Same with Jesus.
• But watch what Job says.

[29] Job 9:1-4 Then Job answered and said, 2 I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God? 3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. 4 He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?

• You can’t stiffen your neck and harden your heart against God and prosper. You will fail.
• You can’t go up against God no matter how hard headed you might be. You will lose.
• So, give it up. Admit you can’t win. And turn all of that over to God. He’ll take care of it. It’s simple.
• Now, let’s look at the FIFTH TRUMPET AND FIFTH VIAL.
• And keep in mind that the FIFTH TRUMPET is the FIRST of THREE WOES.

• Now, we see darkness in both the FIFTH TRUMPET and the FIFTH VIAL.
• All this smoke comes out of the bottomless pit. The sun and air are darkened the Bible says.
• The FIFTH VIAL says that the BEAST’S KINGDOM is full of darkness. God did that. Turned it to dark.
• The angel pours out his vial upon the seat of the beast or his throne and his kingdom is full of darkness.
• They gnaw their tongues for pain. Do you understand how much pain that’s going to be?
• But yet, they continue to blaspheme God. Why? Because of their great pain and their SORES.

Complete 100% Darkness Is Serious

COMPLETE DARKNESS IS NOT A JOKE. Try living in complete darkness. Not good.

• But they still won’t change their mind. Their hearts are hardened like Pharaoh’s heart was hardened.
• And remember, those locusts out of the bottomless pit will be after them and stinging them in darkness.

I want to take a few minutes to make sure you see the importance of Revelation 16:10.

• Some false teaching tells you that the trumpets all happen first and then all the vials happen after that.
• But, that CANNOT BE TRUE when you look at Revelation 16 verse 10.

[31] Revelation 16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

• The part of that verse I want to focus on is “AND HIS KINGDOM WAS FULL OF DARKNESS.”
• Whose kingdom? It says, “HIS KINGDOM.” That is the ANTI-CHRIST. He is ruling on EARTH.

[32] Revelation 13:3-5 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

• That’s when the ANTI-CHRIST comes into power. It’s 3-1/2 years into Daniel’s 70^th week.
• We know the BEAST is ruling during the second half because of the FIFTH VIAL.
• So, when we look at Revelation 16:10, what do we see?

[33] Revelation 16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

• The vial is poured out on the SEAT OF THE BEAST and HIS KINGDOM was full of darkness.
• This tells you 100% for sure that the kingdoms of the earth have not yet become Jesus Christ’s kingdoms.
• We’re at VIAL NUMBER 5, right? And the BEAST is still ruling in his kingdom of darkness on the earth.
• What happens at TRUMPET 7, though? We read this earlier.

[34] Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

• At the SEVENTH TRUMPET, the kingdoms of this world ARE BECOME the kingdoms of JESUS CHRIST.
• It’s very clear and easy to see that right there. At the seventh trumpet, JESUS CHRIST is now reigning.
• It won’t be the BEAST’S KINGDOM once the seventh trumpet sounds. You see that, right?

All Of The Vials Cannot Happen After All Of The Trumpets

So, how can the VIALS happen AFTER the TRUMPETS? They can’t.

• The fifth vial says the BEAST is still reigning. He isn’t reigning after the seventh trumpet.
• That means 100% without a doubt that the FIFTH VIAL happens BEFORE the seventh trumpet.
• So, anyone who says that the all the vials happen after all the trumpets is teaching a false doctrine.
• Revelation 16:10 is proof that the vials don’t happen AFTER all the trumpets are completed.

It’s very easy to see that Revelation Chapter 12 jumps back in time with the birth of Jesus Christ.

• That’s the CUE for us to know that we’re going to hear the prophecy again with different details.
• I also think Revelation 10 verse 11 is another hint that Revelation is split into 2 halves.

[35] Revelation 10:10-11 And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. 11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

• THOU MUST PROPHESY AGAIN. This means a second time.
• That little book has different details of what’s going to happen.
• And then you can easily see how the trumpets and vials match up very well with each other.
• 1^st trumpet and vial is poured out upon the earth.
• 2^nd is poured out upon the sea, 3^rd upon the rivers, 4^th upon the sun, 5^th is darkness.
• Let’s see if the SIXTH TRUMPET and SIXTH VIAL match up.

• Now we see the SIXTH TRUMPET are loosing the four angels in the great river Euphrates.
• They are loosed so they can go out and SLAY THE THIRD PART OF MEN that are left alive.
• The sixth vial is poured out upon the great river EUPHRATES and the water is dried up.
• The angels that are bound in the EUPHRATES RIVER right now will be loosed.
• And then the water is dried up with the FIFTH VIAL. Do you see the connection there?
• This isn’t a coincidence in the Bible. This goes together perfectly.

We’ve talked about the identity of those 4 ANGELS before, but remember that ANGELS ARE SPIRITS.

• You can’t see SPIRITS unless God opens your eyes. He does that sometimes in the Bible.
• But those 4 angels are right there today in the Euphrates waiting for this moment in Trumpet 6 and Vial 6.
• Euphrates came out of the GARDEN OF EDEN from the beginning.

[37] Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

• God placed these CHERUBIMS or ANGELS or living creatures at the EAST of the Garden of Eden.
• And remember, Cherubim’s have 4 faces and 4 wings. The 4 faces cover all directions.
• They guard the way of the TREE OF LIFE.
• Genesis 3:24 doesn’t tell us there are 4 but there are more than one. Yes, I think there are 4 of them.
• But keep in mind that a CHERUBIM has 4 faces. So they are covering every way and every direction.

[38] Revelation 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

• Notice at the end of verse 12 on the right side of the screen it says:
• “That the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” The water is dried so they can pass over.
• We’ll see exactly what that means and why they need to pass over the river.
• Let’s see what else happens with the fifth vial. Let’s continue in verse 13 of Chapter 16.

What Else Happens With The Fifth Vial Of God’s Wrath?

[39] Revelation 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

• The Apostle John sees THREE unclean spirits that look like frogs come out of the mouths.
• One unclean spirit comes out of the mouth of the DRAGON. Whose the dragon? SATAN is the dragon.
• One unclean spirit comes out of the mouth of the BEAST. Whose the beast? The ANTI-CHRIST.
• And then one unclean spirit comes out of the mouth of the FALSE PROPHET.
• What are these THREE unclean spirits and what are they going to do?
• Let’s see what they are and let’s see what they do. Next verse, verse 14.

[40] Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

• Those 3 unclean spirits are the spirits of devils that work miracles.
• They go out to the kings of the earth and whole world and they gather them to the BATTLE.
• What battle are they gathering together for? Remember, we’re on the SIXTH VIAL.
• We’re coming up to the end. We’re almost to the SEVENTH TRUMPET AND SEVENTH VIAL.
• These unclean spirits are gathering all the evil leaders together to battle the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
• They actually think they have a shot, which is really sad.
• THAT GREAT DAY OF GOD ALMIGHTY. That’s going to be the DAY OF THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON.

[41] Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

• So we’ve seen that the people have been gathered for God to pour out HIS WRATH.
• Now, we see it all accumulating to THIS GREAT Day at the Battle of Armageddon.
• That day at that BATTLE Jesus will come like a thief. There will be saved people AFTER the Rapture.
• “Blessed is HE that watcheth, and keepeth HIS GARMENTS. That’s Jesus Christ protecting you.
• You don’t want to be naked without JESUS CHRIST, or you will be ashamed.
• When Jesus acts, He’s going to do it quickly.

[42] Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

• He gives these WARNING throughout the entire Bible. In other words, get it together right now.
• Be prepared RIGHT NOW and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Then you don’t have to worry about it.

[43] Revelation 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

• The 3 unclean spirits went forth to gather the kings of the world together for battle.
• Verse 16 says, “HE GATHERED THEM TOGETHER.” I’m not exactly sure who HE is right there.
• But we do know the 3 unclean spirits are gathering the people together to battle JESUS CHRIST.
• Maybe the HE means SATAN or the Anti-Christ.

God Doesn’t “BATTLE” Anyone Or Anything

But I want to show you something about the “BATTLE” of ARMAGEDDON. It’s not really a battle.

• So, we as MEN refer to it as the BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON. God knows it’s not a battle for HIM.
• The Bible says that they are gathered together into a place called Armageddon.

[44] Revelation 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

• The BEAST, the kings of the earth, and all their armies are gathered together to make war.
• They want to fight the Lord Jesus Christ and all of HIS ARMY.
• So, we’re getting ready to see this HUGE BATTLE, right? Let’s see what happens in the next verse.

[45] Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

• Well, that wasn’t very exciting. I was ready to hear about this GREAT BATTLE like we see in the movies.
• NOPE, no battle for Jesus. He is all powerful. You MUST understand that. There is no battle with Jesus.
• Jesus shows up. He wins. There is no battle. Do you see a battle there? It’s not there.
• The beast and the false prophet are thrown into the lake of fire. No struggle. Just thrown into hell.

[46] Revelation 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

• Jesus didn’t have a battle. Jesus SLEW the remaining people who were with the beast.
• It’s over. It’s done. NO BATTLE. The battle of Armageddon isn’t a battle. It’s a gathering of the wicked.
• Let’s continue in Revelation Chapter 16 verse 17.
• Keep in mind that Armageddon doesn’t happen until Chapter 19.
• But the people are starting to be gathered together to “BATTLE” Jesus Christ.
• That starts to happen with the SIXTH VIAL being poured out.
• Now, let’s compare the SEVENTH TRUMPET with the SEVENTH VIAL.

• With the SEVENTH TRUMPET, we see the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord.
• With the SEVENTH VIAL, we see the angel say: “IT IS DONE.” They are finished with the vials.
• With both the 7^th trumpet and the 7^th vial, we see lightnings, voices, thunders, a great earthquake.
• And you see GREAT HAIL with both the 7^th trumpet and the 7^th vial.
• Do you see how ALL 7 trumpets and all 7 vials go together perfectly?
• This is how we know for sure that they happen together with each other.

Judgement Upon Babylon Comes In Revelation Chapter 16

We see the JUDGMENT come upon GREAT BABYLON in Revelation 16.

• We see all the details of Babylon falling in Revelation Chapter 17 and 18.
• But all of that happens with the 7^th vial. You can see that in Chapter 16. It gives us a quick overview.
• Let’s look at a little more detail starting in verse 17.

[48] Revelation 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

• A great voice out of the temple of heaven saying, “IT IS DONE.”
• That reminds me of Jesus crying out, “IT IS FINISHED” when He died on the cross.
• The angels are finished pouring out the vials but everything isn’t finished yet.

Same thing when Jesus died on the cross. His work that He came to do on earth was finished.

• He died on the cross for you and I, but He wasn’t finished. His soul went to hell.
• He took all the sins of the whole world onto Him. He arose on the THIRD DAY from the dead in HIS BODY.
• The GOSPEL is the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Some false preachers try to minimize the burial and resurrection.

• They’ll say, “The only important thing was the death of Jesus because He said it is finished.”
• No, the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST.
• You need to believe everything about Jesus Christ. He died, He was buried, He rose again.
• HE IS THE SAVIOR. HE IS THE ONLY SAVIOR. You aren’t the savior. I’m not the savior.
• And YOU must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved.

When the seventh angel says, “It is finished.” There’s obviously more that must happen.

• The Book of Revelation doesn’t end when the angel says, “It is finished.” Period. END OF BOOK.
• When Jesus died on the cross and said, “It is finished.” The Bible didn’t end.
• He hadn’t rose again at that point. He wasn’t finished. His work that He came to do was finished.

[49] Revelation 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

• The greatest earthquake this world has ever seen is yet to come.
• This comes when the 7^th vial is poured out.

[50] Revelation 16:19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

• We see Babylon falls. The great city is divided into 3 parts. The cities fall.
• The wrath of God is upon BABYLON. We get more details in Chapter 17 and 18 of this fall.
• In Chapter 18, we learn how long it takes for BABYLON to fall. It takes ONE HOUR.
• Thousands of years the men and women on earth have built all these things on EARTH.
• In one hour, people watch BABLYON burn to the ground.

[51] Revelation 18:18-19 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! 19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

• In one hour she is made desolate. Going back to Revelation Chapter 16 verse 20 and 21.

[52] Revelation 16:20-21 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

• This is a very serious SEVENTH VIAL. God saves the GREAT HAIL for the 7^th trumpet and 7^th vial.
• 75 pound hail stones coming down upon the world. You don’t want any part of that.
