It’s Highly Important That You Understand What It Means To Believe In Jesus Christ
Many people have no idea what it means to believe in Jesus Christ so don’t feel bad if you’re having trouble understanding what this means.
I’ve talked with 90 year old men and women who have been going to the same church for 60 years who have no clue what it means to believe in Jesus Christ.
This is very important to get right and to understand because the Bible says this over and over again.
Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Abraham believed in the Lord and obtained righteousness from the Lord so he could go to heaven.
Exodus 14:31 And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.
The children of Israel, at this time, believed in the Lord. Generations of the children of Israel after them did not believe in the Lord.
Will You Be One That Believes And Makes It To Heaven Or Doesn’t Believe And Is Cast Into Hell? Choose The First.
Psalm 78:19-23 Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? 20 Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people? 21 Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel; 22 Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation: 23 Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,
God wants you to believe in Jesus Christ so you can be saved from death and hell. The Bible states this truth throughout the Old Testament and throughout the New Testament.
Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
Isaiah 43:10-11 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
No one else can save you but the Lord God Almighty. Simply believe in Jesus Christ to be saved. But, what exactly does this mean? Let’s keep going.
Who Will Believe God? Will You Be One Who Believes God Today?
Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
You must believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. You must believe “IN” Him by believing that He has paid for your sins with His work. It’s not about your works. It’s about His works.
Isaiah 53:10-12 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
The soul of Jesus Christ is “THE” offering for sin. We’ve all messed up. We all continue to mess up. The Bible tells us that there is none good but one and that is God. This is why Jesus can be the offering for our sin. He is perfect. God accepts this perfect offering of His Son, Jesus Christ, for our sin. And He forgives you and I through Jesus Christ.
Believing In Jesus Christ = Trusting In Him Alone For Salvation = Believing He Is The Son Of God With That Power
All we have to do is put out trust “IN” Jesus Christ. We simply believe “IN” Him.
For example, most churches today will say that you must believe PLUS do all of these other works. They’ll say that you must repent of all your sin, which is totally 100% impossible to do in this flesh. They’ll say that you must be baptized in water or you’re going to hell. They’ll add all types of things to Jesus Christ, which is just silly.
This means they do not believe in Jesus Christ. If you add works to Jesus Christ, you’ve corrupted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. You’ve tried adding your own works to the equation.
Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
The people in the Scripture above were never saved by Jesus Christ. They profess his name, but they never believed “IN” Him as the Savior of the world. They didn’t believe that He is powerful enough to save them without their own wonderful works.
He professes that He never knew them. For example, Judas Iscariot was with Jesus. He believed that He existed, but he didn’t believe that Jesus was the Savior of the world. He never believed in Jesus. It’s not enough to call Jesus Lord or to believe that he existed.
Believing Jesus Christ Existed Does Not Equal Believing That He Is The Son Of God
A man just the other day told me that he believes Jesus existed and believes that Jesus believed He was the Son of God. But that man doesn’t believe IN Jesus Christ. He simply believes he is a man. He doesn’t believe that He is God and the Son of God. So that man will not be saved because he doesn’t believe “IN” Jesus Christ and His power.
You don’t want to be in the same situation as that man. You need to believe in Jesus Christ. I hope you’re beginning to see what this means. Let’s read some more Scriptures as these are the Scriptures that will save you from death and hell.
Daniel 6:23 Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
When you believe in God, He will save you from many things. He will save you from death and hell.
Matthew 21:32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.
Repentance for salvation does not mean to repent of all your sin. It means to change your mind and believe on Jesus Christ.
Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Mark 5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
ONLY BELIEVE In Jesus Christ For Salvation! Faith Alone Saves You.
Only believe in Jesus Christ, and you will be saved right now. Believing in Jesus Christ is the most important thing you can do. Understand this. So, you must understand what this means to believe in Jesus Christ.
Believing is not repeating a prayer unless you actually BELIEVE in Jesus Christ during that prayer.
You must believe in your heart. It’s not saying, “I believe.” It’s actually believing “IN” Jesus Christ. There is a huge difference in saying and actually believing. And once you believe in Jesus Christ, you’ll know. You will trust Him with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is what believing in Jesus Christ means.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Notice that the believing part in the Scripture above saves you. If you won’t believe, you will be in hell. This is why believing IN Jesus Christ is so important for you to do right now.
Trust God’s Words And Go To Heaven Or Don’t Trust His Words And Go To Hell. It’s Your Choice Right Now.
Trust the words of the Bible and stop trusting in all the words of false preachers in churches. Hear the words of the Bible. Read all the Scriptures. They will save you.
John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
As you can see, it only takes believing in Jesus to have eternal life. Once you believe in Him, you have eternal life. You are saved from that moment forward, and there is nothing you can do to lose everlasting life. Losing everlasting life can’t happen. God gave it to you. If He took it away, then it wouldn’t be everlasting.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
When we believe in Jesus Christ, we know that nothing else can save us. We don’t need to add anything else to the Savior of the world. This is why Jesus is called “THE SAVIOR.” Nothing else is needed to save you.
Choose Jesus Alone Because He Is Powerful Enough To Save You
Believing in Jesus Christ is putting all your faith in Him alone to save you. For example, Jesus is standing beside you on the right side of you. On the left side is all these other things such as church attendance, tithing, prayer, reading the Bible, repenting of sin, and being baptized in water.
What will you choose? If you try to add works to Jesus Christ, He says in the Bible that you won’t have on your side. You must choose to place your belief in Him and Him alone. When you do that, He says that He will save you. If you won’t do that, He says that He won’t save you. If you continue to trust in your works, He will not save you.
You must forsake all of those things and believe “IN” Jesus Christ. You can’t add anything else to Jesus Christ. If you know who He is, you would know that He is the ALMIGHTY GOD with all power. Nothing is too difficult for Him. He doesn’t need your help with your “good works.” His sacrifice is infinite times more powerful than your works.
When you’re dying and taking your last breath, will you call upon your water baptism to save you?
When you’re about to lose your life, will you call upon your church attendance to save you?
Why Put Your Belief In Dead Things Like Water Baptism? You Can’t Even Speak To Your Water Baptism Because It’s Not Alive.
None of these things are even alive, but Jesus Christ is THE living God. He gave you life. He owns life. Those “great works” will not save you because they are dead. They don’t breathe at all. They are not alive. They don’t know how to carry your soul to heaven. But Jesus does.
The best thing you can do is call out to Jesus Christ right now and ask Him to save you. If you believe in Him as Savior of the world and as the Son of God, then He will hear your call and will save you. And that’s it for salvation. It’s over. It’s done.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Make sure you read these Scriptures and simply believe God. Abraham believed God. Will you be like Abraham? Will you be like Abel? Or will you be like Cain? Will you be like Jacob, or will you be like Esau? Jacob had faith. Esau never had faith. God loved Jacob and hated Esau. If you will never believe in Jesus Christ, God will cast you into hell just as He did with Esau.
Many People Don’t Want To Hear The Truth. Why Not? The Truth Will Set You Free!
This is the truth. Many so-called “Christians” don’t like that God casts people into hell. They don’t want to hear it.
But I will tell you the truth. And it’s better to hear the warning right now ans believe than for the casting into hell to actually happen to you. I will warn you about hell. You don’t want to go there.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Now is the time for you to forsake everything else that you’ve believed in during your life and believe in Jesus Christ. And at that moment, you will pass from death unto life. Your soul will be saved, and your soul will never die. Your body will pass away, but your soul (who you are) will never die.
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
Jesus Christ Has Never Lied. Read the Scriptures And Trust Them. Believing His Promise Will Save You.
Jesus tells the truth. He has never lied once throughout all of eternity. Why won’t you trust Him? He owns life. He gave you life. You are alive right now because you are reading. There’s one thing left for you to do to be saved forever and that is believe in Jesus Christ.
Take everything you have right now within you and put it all on Jesus Christ. He’ll save you. You can’t fix all the problems in your life, but Jesus Christ can. Nothing is too difficult for Him.
Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
