[2] The title of the sermon: “YOUR CHILDREN WILL SUFFER BECAUSE OF YOUR SINS.”
I Do Not Want My Children To Suffer For My Sins
- As a parent who loves his children, the last thing I want is for my children to suffer because of my sins.
- If you love your children, you do not want your children to suffer for things that you’ve done wrong.
- There are many children out there today that are growing up without a father or without a mother.
- Many children have no guidance in their life at all. And they are looking for guidance.
- They find the wrong people. There are lots of people out there guiding children the wrong way.
- Children start taking drugs, drinking alcohol, and head towards destruction.
Is this the fault of the kids? Where are the parents?
- Aren’t the parents supposed to be watching over their children?
- And this isn’t a joke. This is destroying children and families for generations.
- It’s time for the adults in this country to start acting like adults and doing what’s right.
- And what is right because the majority of adults can’t seem to understand.
- God’s laws and His commandments are right. We do that and things will turn around.
[3] Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
- When you won’t nurture your very own children, you provoke them to wrath.
- This is a great sin when you won’t nurture your children.
- You can see examples everywhere you look in today’s world.
- Hey parents everywhere, YOU NEED TO WAKE UP AND CARE FOR YOUR OWN CHILDREN.
- If you won’t do it, you are sinning against God and your children will suffer. You will suffer too.
What does it mean to nurture your children? You need to feed them good things.
- That’s physically good things and spiritually good things. Feed them healthy food and drink.
- Promote their growth physically and spiritually. Make sure you are educating them.
- They need to know how to read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- They need to know right triangles, geometry, algebra, the English language.
- You need to teach them how things in this world work. You need to show them how to do things.
- Don’t hand them a video game and tell them to leave you alone for days, weeks, months, and years.
Nurturing your children includes training them up in the right ways. Yes, this takes work on your part.
- Is this work easy? No, it’s not. It’s difficult work that takes lots of patience and time.
- That’s why it’s laughable when “career women” put down women who are keepers at home.
- “Oh, you’re a stay at home mom. That must be easy.” Then why don’t you try it.
- The women who are keepers at home are following God’s commandment to them.
- And you get these so-called “Christian” women who will put these women down.
- And they are nurturing their children and bringing them up in the admonition of the Lord.
- Is there something wrong with that? No, it’s the right way. They are not sinning against God.
What is bringing your children up in the ADMONITION of the Lord mean?
- Fathers, bring up your children in the admonition of the Lord. That’s a command.
- If you won’t do this, then your children will suffer because of your sin against this commandment.
- So, we must know what this means. Admonition means gentle reproof.
- It’s counseling against a fault or a mistake they make. It’s instruction in what they should do.
- It’s teaching them caution and care in the decisions they make. It’s discipline.
- Fathers, it is your job is to direct your household. Your job is to direct your wife and your children.
- It’s your job to make sure they are being brought in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
So, let’s say a woman has children and doesn’t have a husband.
- If you haven’t made this mistake yet, DON’T.
- Young women out there, do not have children unless you are married.
- Don’t go out to bars and fornicate and have sexual relationships before marriage.
- If so, you are setting yourself up to have children without a father to raise those children.
- You’ll be on your own, and this is not what God wants.
- You shouldn’t be having a sexual relationship with a strange man.
- This is a great sin against God because He commands you to not fornicate.
- If you do fornicate, your children will suffer because of your sins. Do you want your children to suffer?
Let’s be clear. If you have children outside of a Biblical marriage, your children will suffer.
- Children should not be growing up without a father. Same thing goes for men.
- You shouldn’t be having children and then leaving them on their own with their mother.
- That’s sick and nasty. Do you think it’s okay to produce children and then just leave them?
- That’s evil. Do you not care about your very own children? Do you know what you need to do?
You need to get down on your knees and beg that woman you fornicated with to marry you.
- You need to convince that woman that you will take care of her and those children.
- And then you need to guide your house in the Lord. You need to guide your wife in the Lord.
- Take care of them as God commands you to take care of them.
- You don’t go out, fornicate again, and have more children.
Stop Fornicating And Having Children With Different People
If you won’t do these things, those children you produced will suffer and it will be your fault.
- Don’t blame it on God. He didn’t do it. You did it. And yes, it is your fault.
- Take responsibility for your fault, BE A MAN, stand up, get to work, and take care of those children.
- Follow the Lord and show that woman and those children how it’s supposed to be done.
- If you won’t do these things, you will provoke your children to wrath. Do you understand that?
That’s why there’s all these ANGRY children walking around out there today.
- That’s why children in schools are picking on all the other children. They are angry.
- Their parents don’t care for them. That’s why they are in the schools.
- Their parents are bringing them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
- If they were, they would be taking care of their own children at home just as God says.
Please, don’t act as if you are a Christian who follows Jesus Christ but you aren’t taking care of your own children.
- If you want to be a Christian, then you need to follow Jesus Christ.
- What does this mean? You need to follow His words. You need to bring your children up.
- You don’t pass your children off to everyone else. Christians don’t do these things.
- If you do, then you aren’t a Christian. Understand that right now.
- Don’t blaspheme the name of Jesus Christ by not doing what He commands you to do.
[4] Colossians 3:18-21 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. 20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. 21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
- All of this goes together and works together.
- For example, if wives won’t submit to their husbands, this is a sin. The children will suffer for it.
- Wives are teaching their children that they shouldn’t obey their fathers when they won’t submit.
- Do you know what this does to the family? This can destroy a family, and it does constantly.
- “Wives, submit yourselves to your OWN husbands.” Just your own husband as it fit in the Lord.
“Husbands, love your wives.” How do you do that? You simply follow the commandments of God.
- Be good to your wife. Don’t do evil to your wife. Don’t look at other women. They aren’t yours.
- You have your own wife. Love her and cherish her. Don’t be bitter against your wife.
- If you won’t do these things, the children are going to suffer.
- The husband and wife are to love each other by following Jesus Christ.
- And when they follow Jesus Christ they are teaching their children obedience to God Almighty.
- Then the children will OBEY the parents in all things because they see what is right and wrong.
- And all of this is very pleasing to the Lord.
Notice again that God says in verse 21, “Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.”
- Understand that this doesn’t mean to give your children whatever they want.
- “Well, if I don’t my children whatever they want, they will get angry.” That’s not what this means.
- This means to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
- If you won’t do that, your children will know that you don’t care about them. They will become angry.
- Happens every time. It’s time for this country to stop producing angry children.
- It’s time for the parents to stop sinning against God.
- It’s time for the children to stop suffering because of our sins against the Lord God Almighty.
- Parents, it’s time to stop. It’s time to turn this around and do things the right way.
It’s time for the fathers to get their butts out there and get to work. You are working for God.
- You are working to take care of your family. You are working to take care of your wife.
- You are working to take care of your children. Fathers, it’s time to lead your family.
- Your wife will now stay at home with your children and be a keeper at home.
- She will not work outside the home. She will care for the children at home.
Take Your Children Out Of The Public Schools And Teach Them At Home
You will now take your children out of the public schools and teach them at home the right way.
- Your job, as a mother, is to teach those children. You can do it. You will teach them the Bible at home.
- Children, your father and mother are now showing you that you are a priority. OBEY THEM.
- And you might not like what I just said. You might tell me that I’m teaching wrong.
- Well, why don’t you hear these words of the Bible that I am about to speak.
[5] Titus 2:1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
- The Bible commands me in Titus Chapter 2 to speak thou the things which become SOUND DOCTRINE.
- If I teach these things in Titus Chapter 2, I am teaching you the right things. Sound doctrine.
- Let’s see what this right teaching is according to God.
[6] Titus 2:2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
- I am an aged man. God commands me to be sober.
- If I am drinking alcohol and taking drugs, I am not sober.
- You might say: “But I only drank a beer or two.” You aren’t sober. God just commanded you to be sober.
- It’s time to put away childish things. Alcohol is childish.
- Proverbs Chapter 23 commands you to not even look at alcoholic drinks.
God commands me to be grave or serious. In the past, I joked about everything.
- No one even knew when I was being serious. I don’t do that any more. Why?
- God commands me not to be that way. I am to be temperate. Am I perfect at that? No, I’m not.
- But I’m doing much better than I did in the past. If I won’t be temperate, my children will suffer.
- So, it’s time for me to be temperate.
- If you have something you struggle with, now is the time to do better.
- If you won’t, your children will suffer.
God commands me to be sound in faith. Faith is trusting God with all your heart, soul, and mind.
- When I see the words of the Bible, I know that He is right. I know that I must follow His words.
- This is faith. When I read that God hated Esau, then I know that God hates people who are wicked.
- I know that God doesn’t love everyone no matter what. God hates evil and wicked people.
- This is called faith in God. I listen and trust the words from God. SOUND IN FAITH.
- I trust Jesus Christ. I know that He has saved me all because I have believed on Him.
- I know that I have everlasting life because I have believed IN Jesus Christ.
- And I’m going to teach these same things to my wife and my children.
- I am going to lead them to everlasting life. What else am I supposed to do as a father?
I am to be sound in charity. That’s why I’m standing here right now.
- That’s why I talk with people constantly about Jesus Christ. That’s why I do my best to help others.
- I don’t do it for myself. I do it because God commands me to do it. If I love Him, I will do these things.
- I am to be sound in patience. We all lose our patience at times, but we must do better. I must do better.
- If I will not do better, my children will suffer for my sins. I am teaching them to not be patient.
- That is not a good thing. That is not bringing them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
[7] Titus 2:3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
- Aged women, this is for you. You need to do likewise as God just commanded the men. Same things.
- We need to behave as becometh holiness. You need to follow God’s commandments.
- Do not falsely accuse people. Many women do these things. Why do you think God put this here?
- Don’t do it. Your children will see you doing these things.
- Not given to much wine. This means don’t be a drunkard or a glutton.
- You should not be eating in excess or drinking in excess. You shouldn’t be lazy.
- You shouldn’t be sitting down watching TV. If you do, your children will suffer for your sin.
God commands you to be a teacher of GOOD things. Watching TV all the time is not a good thing.
- Later in life do you want to ask yourself what you taught your children and say:
- “I taught my children how to be good at watching TV. I could watch TV with the best of them.”
- No, you don’t want that. God commands you to be a teacher of good things.
- For example, I hope that everyone in this church is teaching their children the Scriptures.
- It takes some work to teach a 5 year old to memorize a Scripture every few days.
You And Your Children Should Be Learning The Scriptures
But, listen, there is nothing better than having your children memorize Scriptures.
- There is nothing better than teaching your children what the Scriptures mean.
- This takes patience. You’ll learn patience as you teach your children good things.
- Teaching your children how to read is a good thing.
- Teaching your children how to be clean is a good thing.
“Hey son or daughter, you will take a bath each day so you don’t smell.”
- There are many parents who don’t care if their children stink. This is not good.
- If you have a baby, keep that baby clean. Care for that little baby. Love that baby.
- When you do these things, that baby develops into what God intended for that child.
- They are smarter because their father and mother cared for them.
Teaching your children how to write is a good thing. Teaching math is a good thing.
- Many parents, I’ve seen them myself, could care less if their children learn anything.
- But God says to TEACH THEM GOOD THINGS. He didn’t say to pass them off to everyone else.
- Yes, it is your job to teach them. Do you understand that?
- What’s the best thing you can ever teach your children? HOW TO BE SAVED.
- Make sure that your children know how to make it to heaven.
If you won’t teach them that, who is going to do it? You better hope God sends someone if you won’t do it.
- And there’s not many people out there preaching the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- If you won’t teach your children how to go to heaven, who will do this?
- Will you leave your children hanging out there all on their own?
- Will you take a chance with them going to hell when they die? Please don’t.
- It’s time to do things the right way. NOW IS THE TIME.
- Remember, the Bible tells you that what I am teaching right now is sound doctrine.
- Let’s continue in Titus Chapter 2.
[8] Titus 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
- Aged women need to be teaching the young women to be sober.
- Don’t teach that it’s okay to drink alcohol. Don’t teach that it’s okay to take drugs.
- Don’t share your drugs and alcohol with your children. That’s sick and nasty. But people are doing it.
- When your children see you doing drugs and alcohol, you are teaching them that it’s okay to do this.
- And this is a great sin. Do you know what sin leads to? DEATH. And your children might end up dead.
- This happens all the time. You don’t want this to happen.
Families are destroyed completely. Children out of wedlock. Divorces. Fighting. Lawsuits. Lying.
- Deception. Fraud. Hurt. And then death. And yes, many times the children are the one who die.
- Does that sound good? No, it doesn’t. But doing what God says won’t lead to those things.
- Wives, love your husbands and your children. Don’t go against God’s ways.
- Not only will your children suffer but everyone around you will suffer.
- What you do makes a difference. What you believe makes a difference.
[9] Titus 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
- God commands wives to be discrete. Think about things. Don’t run your mouth all the time.
- Find the good way before you do something. Be a wise woman. Be cautious and not rash in things.
- When you find yourself getting upset, take a deep breath and calm down.
- Be chaste or pure. Watch how you speak. Watch how you act. Speak the truth at all times.
- Be good by following the words of the Bible. You can’t follow them if you don’t know them.
Be obedient to your own husband. The Bible teaches this many times. But do not break God’s laws.
- If your husband tells you to do something that doesn’t break God’s law, then do it.
- If your husband commands you to break God’s law, you don’t obey. Always OBEY God rather than men.
- But a good husband won’t ask his wife to break God’s laws. Make sure you know His laws.
[10] Titus 2:6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
- Everyone needs to be SOBER minded. Don’t have medicine always in your system. Medicine affects you.
- Your judgement and decisions are affected by all the medicine you have within your body.
- Remember, God gave us all of these herbs, minerals, vitamins, and whole foods to heal us.
- We don’t need all of these other things all the time. BE SOBER MINDED in all things.
- Don’t be angry constantly. Be calm. Be serious. Be grave and temperate.
[11] Titus 2:7-8 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
- What are good works? Following God’s commandments. Find a good church and go there.
- Find people who want to follow the commandments of God and choose to be around them.
- Preach the Gospel. Pray to God. Sing to God. Read your Bible. Study your Bible.
- If you have lots of free time and don’t know what to do with it, ask me.
Do You Need Something Good To Do?
I’ll give you something good to do with your time. Show uncorruptness. Be strong in God’s words.
- Speak sound doctrine. Teach right things. Don’t spread lies. Don’t spread rumors.
- Don’t cheat people out of things. Stop stealing from people. Don’t lie to people.
- Pay fair prices for things. Help people. Don’t hurt people. Be sincere and stop playing games.
- Don’t give people anything to condemn you with.
- Always do right and people won’t be able to say anything bad about you.
[12] Titus 2:9-10 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; 10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
- When you are working, do what your boss asks you to do without complaint. Just get it done.
- Please obey your manager. But again, if they ask you to break God’s law, you don’t obey in that. EVER.
- But most managers out there aren’t asking people to break God’s laws. So do what they ask you to do.
- If you work for an evil person, find somewhere else to work. You have options.
When your boss loves you because you always do a good job, you might be able to win them to the Lord.
- When you are respectful and obedient to your boss, you might win them to Jesus Christ.
- That is our job in this world. We are to win souls to Jesus Christ. We do this by preaching the Gospel.
- But we also do this by following God’s commandments.
- Teach your children to do a good job when they work. Put a lot of effort into something. Push them.
- Make them do physical labor that shows them how tough work can be. Teach them to push through it.
Then they’ll learn to be thankful for the food they get after a long day of work.
- Have your children ever acted like they didn’t want to eat what you fixed for dinner?
- If they do that again, take them outside the next day for some hard physical work all day long.
- When they get dinner after working hard all day long, they will love what you fixed.
- They will say, “Wow, Mom, this is the best food I’ve ever eaten.” Yeah, been there and done that.
- My Dad and Mom taught me how to work hard. You need to teach your children the same.
- Get rid of the video games. Get rid of the TV. Start doing something worthwhile.
Read the Bible. Learn the stories and examples within the Bible.
- Know that Elijah shows up first in 1 Kings Chapter 17.
- Know that the story of the woman at the well is in John Chapter 4.
- Know that Deborah the judge is in Judges Chapter 4.
- Know that the story of Gideon is in Judges Chapter 6.
Learn an overview of the entire Bible so you are aware of what is happening throughout.
- Know what happens in the Book of Jeremiah. Know the Book of Revelation.
- There are so many things to learn within this Bible that you will never be bored.
- Read, study, pray, preach. Read, study, pray, preach. Get the word of God out to people around you.
- And especially TEACH YOUR CHILDREN good things.
If we continue on this current path in this country, we will be destroyed.
- The time is now or we’re going down. Now is the time to turn back to God Almighty in this country.
- Now is the time to bring the name of Jesus Christ back into this country. If not, we will be destroyed.
- And all of this starts within each and every family in this country. It starts in each home.
- And the good spreads from there. Evil people are attempting to destroy our families.
- Teachers in public schools are attempting to destroy your children and family. Do you understand that?
- Take them out of there and teach them at home. Take their power away. You have the power to do that.
So, we’ve went over sound doctrine so far in this sermon. You know what you need to do now.
- You know how to lead your family in the Lord Jesus Christ. You need to know His ways and follow them.
- You need to forsake all the ways of this world. You have young women killing themselves right now.
- Why? Because they followed the ways of this world. Young men are killing themselves right now.
- And many of them are from Hollywood. They were stars in this world. And the world killed them.
- Don’t fall for the ways of this world.
When women hear me teaching that they should be keepers at home, they think I’m trying to hold them back.
- Listen, I am not the one who taught this. God teaches this. This is His way, and His ways are the best.
- I am not holding you back by teaching that women should stay at home.
- Men may think I am trying to take their money away from them by teaching their wives to stay at home.
- I am not. God is not.
When you do what God says, God will take care of you much better than the salary your wife makes.
- It’s just a salary. Do you not think God can replace that salary, make you happier, make you wealthier?
- He can do anything. Have you not read the Bible? When we follow God’s commandments, we are free.
- He’s trying to free you from all the bondage of this world.
- The world is capturing women and leading them to horrible lives. That’s what’s happening.
[13] John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
- When you sin, you are being captured. Your sin is leading to horrible things for your children.
- When you send your children away all the time versus taking care of them, you are sinning.
- You are bringing them into bondage and not into the freedom that Jesus Christ gives.
- Good things come from Jesus Christ when we follow His commandments.
- Bad things come when we won’t follow His commandments.
Many people won’t listen to the sermons I preach because they know they will be convicted to change something.
- And they don’t want to change anything. They are set in THEIR WAYS and not in the ways of God.
- God’s ways will make them free, but they don’t want to be free. WHY NOT? Wake up people.
[14] Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
- You can be free from the law of sin and death. Why wouldn’t you want that? It’s so much better.
- Without Jesus Christ, HELL IS COMING FOR YOU.
- If you think things are bad now, you haven’t seen anything.
- So, if you are listening to this sermon, you NOW have a choice to make.
- You can choose to make the change: believe on Jesus Christ right now and follow Him.
You “SHOULD” Do Good Works “AFTER” You Are Saved (Past Tense)
The first thing you should do is be baptized in water because you know the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ saves you.
- Then you need to start following all of God’s commandments. They are here in this Bible.
- Get yourself a King James Bible and start studying with everything you have.
- Stop listening to false preachers and find a church that preaches the truth.
- Bring your children into the ways of the Lord. Don’t send them off to Sunday School.
- You don’t even know what’s happening in there. Keep them with you. Love them. Show them.
[15] Genesis 18:19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
- This is what you want God to say about you.
- As the man of the house, it’s time to stand up and be the man that God made you to be.
- You need to make sure that your children will not suffer because of your sin.
- God should be saying, “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him.”
If you are a grandparent, you should be commanding those households after you to follow the Lord.
- “THEY SHALL KEEP THE WAY OF THE LORD.” They will do justice and judgement. I will make sure of it.
- When you see someone getting out of line, they could be headed for death.
- They could be heading for destruction. This is your family that God gave you. It’s time for a talk.
- If you don’t want to do this, then you aren’t like Abraham. You are not doing right.
- And the children in the family will suffer because you won’t do right.
[16] Exodus 12:26-28 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? 27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD’S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. 28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
- When you are doing things a certain way, your children will ask you why you are doing that?
- “What mean ye by this service? Why are we doing the Lord’s Supper? What does this mean?”
- Are you teaching your children about the Passover?
- Are you teaching them that Jesus Christ is our Passover?
- Are you teaching them all the miracles that God has done? Are you showing them the outdoors?
- Or, are you pushing video games so they stay out of your hair?
Did you know that most families now with children don’t even eat together at a table?
- If you aren’t eating with your family and talking with them, you have a big problem.
- Your children are going to suffer because you won’t teach them anything. And yes, it is YOUR fault.
- Teach them the right ways, and the Bible SAYS they will do as the Lord commands.
- “And the children of Israel went away, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron.”
- SO DID THEY.
[17] Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
- That is a commandment from God for you. Do you see it? He’s talking to you.
- Will you do your job or not? If not, don’t expect your children to have good things ever.
- Don’t expect your children to follow the Lord. They will go do to death instead.
If You Won’t Do Your Job, Your Children Will Suffer
Or, you can follow the good ways and the right ways of the Lord and teach them these ways.
- And God says: “When he is old, he will not depart from it.”
- So all the work you do in teaching your children the right ways, it is not in vain. It’s worth it.
- Even when they aren’t doing right later in their life, what you taught them was worth it.
[18] Exodus 13:14 And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:
- Your children will ask you about God and Jesus Christ when that’s all you do and talk about.
- And then you teach them everything you know.
[19] Deuteronomy 4:9-10 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons; 10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
- God commands us over and over again to teach our sons and our sons’ sons.
[20] Deuteronomy 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
- When you get up in the morning, you should be talking to your children about God the Father.
- When you are sitting in your house, you should be teaching your children about Jesus Christ.
- When you are walking by the way, you should be telling your children about the Holy Spirit.
- When you lie down, it’s time to talk about God. NEVER STOP. This is the best thing for your children.
[21] Deuteronomy 11:19-21 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: 21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
- If you want the days of your children to be multiplied, then you better do this.
- If you want early death for your children, then you don’t love them and you don’t care for them.
- If you won’t do this, you are sinning against God and your children will suffer greatly.
[22] 1 Chronicles 28:20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
- This is what a good father will say to his son. Are you saying these things to your children?
- BE STRONG. Things won’t be so easy in this life. But be of good courage and do what God says.
- FEAR NOT. Do not be dismayed. Don’t give up. Don’t quit. Don’t stop working for the Lord.
- Son, daughter, I am telling you right now: “For the Lord God, even MY GOD, will be with thee.”
- “He will not fail thee.” Do you understand this, children? Jesus Christ WILL NOT FAIL YOU.
- Jesus Christ will not forsake you. Make sure you understand this, children.
- Everyone else might fail you. I might fail you. But God will not fail you.
[23] 1 Chronicles 29:18-19 O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee: 19 And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.
- David prayed for his son. Are you praying for your children every single day? Why not?
- You can’t say enough prayers for them. You better be praying for them. You better start now.
- Job prayed for his children and offered sacrifices for their sins JUST IN CASE they sinned against God.
- Pray for their protection. Pray that they will follow Jesus Christ.
- I don’t care what my children do in life as long as they follow Jesus Christ.
- That’s the only thing that matters.
Pride Comes Before Destruction
“Well, my son is a lawyer. My son is an engineer. My daughter is a lawyer. She is CEO of a tech company.”
- “Well, my daughter runs the entire planet. My son is the most powerful man in Montana.”
- “My daughter is the richest woman in Texas.” Hey, guess what? I don’t care.
- Why aren’t people saying, “My son loves Jesus Christ and follow Him?”
- That’s what matters. My daughter stays at home and teaches her children at home. She loves Jesus.
- She does what He says. All of these other things are not important. I don’t care about big shots.
- Everybody is a big shot now. My son is this. My son is that. My daughter is this. My daughter is that.
- Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. That’s what God thinks about it too. He cares if you love Him and follow Him.
[24] Psalm 71:17-18 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. 18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.
- Can you imagine training up your children all your life, and then they finally show God’s strength when they are gray headed?
- Train them up from the youth. Teach them about God constantly. NEVER STOP.
- And then they won’t stop. “Don’t take my life until I showed thy strength unto this generation.”
- This is what you should be asking God.
- “God, please don’t take my life until I have showed your strength to these children.”
[25] Psalm 78:2-4 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: 3 Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. 4 We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.
- Hey, don’t be afraid to tell your children what God has done for you. OPEN YOUR MOUTH.
- You haven’t perfect all your life. Your children know that. But now is the time to open your mouth.
- “WE WILL NOT HIDE THESE THINGS FROM OUR CHILDREN.”
[26] Psalm 78:5-6 For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: 6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:
- We should make all these things known to our children. Why are people not doing this?
- Why are the so-called “Christians” not doing this?
- The good way is to follow all of these commandments from God.
- Now, that’s the good way. Let’s say that you don’t want to do that.
- Let’s say that you’re going to do things your way and not God’s way. Let’s see what happens.
- There are many examples in the Bible of what happens.
[27] 2 Samuel 12:15-16 And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick. 16 David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.
- David did evil by stealing Uriah’s wife and murdering him. God takes this very seriously. What happened?
- Bathsheba becomes pregnant with David’s child. That was Uriah’s wife. She wasn’t David’s to have.
- The Lord struck the child and it was very sick. Why? To punish David for his sins.
- David cared for that child. He besought God for the child. He fasted. He laid on the earth all night.
- What happened?
[28] 2 Samuel 12:18 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?
- The child died for the sin of David. He lost his child. Do you know that’s happening everywhere?
- Children are dying because people don’t care for them at all. They do not love them.
- People will not follow Jesus Christ. They forsake Him and bad things happen.
False Religion Such As Most “Christian” Denominations Will Send Your Children To Hell
False religion will send your children to hell so it’s time to make sure you have it right.
- We use the actual words of God. That’s how to find the truth.
- King David’s son, Absalom, died too. Ishmael suffered because of Abraham and Sarah’s sin.
- The children of Israel suffered because of the sins of Solomon.
[29] Jeremiah 32:18 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,
- The iniquity of the fathers are recompensed into the bosom of their children after them.
- But you need to understand that no one is sent to hell because of the sins of their parents.
- People are sent to hell because they won’t believe on Jesus Christ once in their life.
- No one is in hell because they were perfect and their parents were the sinners.
[30] Joshua 7:24 And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor.
[31] Joshua 7:25-26 And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. 26 And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.
- Achan went directly against the commandment of the Lord and his children suffered for this.
- His sons and his daughters suffered because of his sin.
[32] 2 Samuel 21:1 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David inquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.
- David and all the house of Israel suffered because of what Saul did. He slew the priests of the Lord.
- And he smote the entire city. The men, women, children, and babies were killed by Saul.
- So God sent a famine and the people after Saul suffered in that famine. God says so.
[33] 1 Kings 14:9-10 But hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back: 10 Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the remnant of the house of Jeroboam, as a man taketh away dung, till it be all gone.
- The sins of these kings of Israel affected everyone around them.
- As the parents and leaders of your home, what you do affects everyone around you.
- When Pharaoh hardened his heart against the Lord, all the people suffered for this.
- When the Jews hated Jesus Christ and killed Him, all their descendants are now suffering for this.
[34] Matthew 27:25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
- You do not want your children to suffer for your sins so it’s time to correct things.
- It’s time to get your King James Bible out, start reading it, studying it, and doing what God asks you to do.
[35] Exodus 20:5-6 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
- Hate God and your children, children’s children, and their children will suffer for your hate of God.
- The words of the Bible are true. The evidence in this world proves this to be true.
- You might think this is wrong for God to do this, and you just sinned against Him again.
Why don’t you take responsibility for something? This is how it works. God says so. Get over it.
- Read verse 6. When you love God, you follow His commandments. He will show you mercy.
- And you can start having that mercy right now by doing what He asks you to do. Isn’t that what you want?
- Don’t you want good for your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren? You should.
Now Is The Time To Get Things Right According To God’s Words
So, it’s time to start getting things right. If you’re a drunkard, it’s time to fix it.
- If you’re using drugs, it’s time to fix it. If you lie, steal, and cheat people, it’s time to fix it.
- If you aren’t reading your Bible, it’s time to get started. If you aren’t seeking God, it’s time to seek.
- Where do you start? Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ is the very first step. Then be baptized.
- Read your Bible. Study your Bible. Find a good church and get there every service.
- Show your children that you love them by following the commandments of God. Make the changes.
- Don’t just read the Bible, know it, and not make any changes. This is sin. It’s time to change things.
[36] Psalm 103:8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
- I want you to remember that and ask God for His mercy. Tell Him you are sorry for what you’ve done.
- He has plenty of mercy for you and your children.
[37] Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
- God knows better than you. If you love your children, you should start doing what God says.
- This is love that we follow His commandments. It’s time to start following His commandments.
- It’s time to put an end to all the suffering of the children that we can. We have a choice.
- We can do this or not. It’s up to you, and it’s up to I. Choose ye this day whom ye will serve.
- Will it be God, or will it be your desires? Make the choice right now. Choose God’s way.
Let’s pray.
