[2] The title of the sermon today is “REVELATION CHAPTER 5.”

The Book Of Revelation Is Not Difficult To Understand

• We’re going to be going verse by verse through Revelation Chapter 5.
• We’ve went through Chapters 1 through 4 so far in great detail verse by verse.
• And it’s been very easy to understand.
• This is because the book of Revelation is written to saved people who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

[3] Revelation 5:1 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

• This chapter picks up right where we left in Revelation Chapter 4.
• John was caught up into heaven in the spirit so God could show him all the things that are going to be hereafter.
• We see in Chapter 4 that John see God on the throne.
• There are 24 elders clothed in white with crowns on their heads.
• There’s thundering’s and lightning’s coming out of the throne.
• There’s a sea of glass. We see 4 beasts full of eyes with 6 wings.
• These beasts are seraphim’s who are in the midst of the throne.
• Those seraphim’s praise and worship God day and night non-stop.
• The 24 elders also worship God constantly saying, “THOU ART WORTHY O LORD!!!”

So now, what do we see starting out here in Chapter 5 verse 1?

• God the Father is sitting on the throne.
• You’ll see why this is God the Father as we continue in Revelation Chapter 5.
• In God’s right hand, He has a book. This shows the AUTHORITY of this book He has in His hands.
• It has writing within the book and on the backside of the book.
• The book is sealed with seven seals, there’s seven sections of this book that are sealed up separately

What are the 7 seals?

• Let’s look to Revelation Chapter 6 just so we know what these seals are.
• As each seal is broken, more of the future and what’s going to happen is revealed to us.

[4] Revelation 6:1-2 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. 2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

• So the first seal is opened right there at the beginning of Revelation Chapter 6.
• This is THE START of the Tribulation.
• There’s a man on a white horse, he has a bow, and a crown, and he goes forth to conquer and does so.
• 2^nd seal fills the world with war, people are killing each other.
• 3^rd seal is great famine and starving. 4^th seal we see death.
• 5^th seal we see martyrs for the cause of Christ or people being executed because of their belief on Jesus Christ.
• 6^th seal we see the sun and moon darkened and the GREAT DAY OF THE LORD has come.
• 7^th seal we will then start to see the trumpets and God’s wrath.

These 7 seals are THE TRIBULATION.

• These 7 seals are not God’s wrath.
• That’s not Jesus on the white horse with the first seal pouring out God’s wrath.
• That’s an imitation of Jesus Christ. That’s a great deceiver of Jesus Christ.
• You’ll see this clearly that the 7 seals are not GOD’S WRATH.
• You will see God’s wrath with the 7 trumpets and the 7 vials.
• It’s VERY easy to prove that the 7 seals are not GOD’S WRATH.

God’s Wrath Is Not Poured Out On The Saved

God’s wrath in the Book of Revelation is not poured out on HIS PEOPLE.

• In Chapter 6, there’s 100% proof that the 7 seals are NOT God’s wrath.
• Let’s take a look at verse 9 – 11 in Revelation Chapter 6.

[5] Revelation 6:9-11 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

• You can see that God’s people who were killed for the word of God have not been avenged at this point.
• We’re at the 5^th seal right here.
• So remember, we have the 7 seals in this book that are being revealed to us.
• We’re at the 5^th seal and the souls that were slain for the word of God are asking:
• “HOW MUCH LONGER, LORD, UNTIL YOU AVENGE OUR BLOOD ON THEM THAT DWELL ON EARTH?”

What’s the answer to that? Remember, we’re on the 5^th seal and the Sun and Moon are darkened at the 6^th seal.

• So, we’re not far from the Day of the Lord. A great and terrible day is coming soon.
• So the answer right there is: “Rest yet for a little season until the others are martyred just like you.”
• THIS IS 100% proof that God’s wrath is NOT BEING POURED OUT with the 7 seals!!!
• These people have been killed for the cause of Christ. They aren’t killed by God’s wrath.
• And they’re asking, “When will you pour out YOUR WRATH O GOD and get vengeance for us?”
• God doesn’t say, “Hey, I’ve already been doing this?” He says to wait a little longer.
• GOD’S WRATH HAS NOT BEGUN AT THE FIFTH SEAL!!! This is VERY, VERY important to understand.
• After the 6^th seal is opened, the Bible says this in Revelation Chapter 6.

[6] Revelation 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

• Isn’t that pretty obvious right there that God’s wrath hadn’t yet come?
• Is says right there at the end of Revelation 6 that the GREAT DAY OF HIS WRATH is come!!!
• Was it there before the 6^th seal? No. Sure wasn’t. Why? Because the Bible says so. Not me.
• Revelation Chapter 6 proves God’s wrath hasn’t started yet.
• It’s amazing to me that these false teachers can continue to say that the 4^th seal proves this is God’s wrath.

[7] Revelation 6:7-8 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

• Those false teachers and preachers will say, “SEE, THIS IS GOD POURING OUT HIS WRATH!”
• What??? Did you read the rest of the Chapter? Do you see Revelation 6:17 after the 6^th seal?
• It says the great day of HIS WRATH is now come. That’s after the 6^th seal is opened!!!
• So, listen, the Book of Revelation is very easy to understand if we simply follow it in order.
• It’s easy to understand if we stop listening to false teachers and preachers.
• They cast doubt and confusion of God’s word by making up fairy tales.
• It makes Revelation very difficult to understand; that’s what lies do.
• And who HATES lies and liars? God does.

[8] Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.

• The Pre-Tribulation Rapture is a lie.
• It’s very, very easy to see that when you read, study, and know your Bible.
• Revelation 4:1-2 is not the Rapture.
• John is being caught up by himself in the spirit so he can be shown these things and write about them right here in this book.
• The Rapture doesn’t happen until Revelation Chapter 7. Remember that today.
• Don’t fall for the Pre-Tribulation Rapture lies as they make no sense and deceive you into thinking the Antichrist is Jesus Christ.
• As always, the world teaches the EXACT OPPOSITE of the Bible.
• That’s normal for the world. Don’t fall for it.

The Seals Lead Up To The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ

All of these seals lead up to the SECOND COMING of OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST!!!

• Now you know what these seven seals really are. They are not God’s wrath being poured out.
• You’ll see God’s wrath with the 7 trumpets and 7 vials which happen together.
• Now that we know this, let’s go back to the start of Revelation Chapter 5.

[9] Revelation 5:1-3 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? 3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

• So look, A STRONG ANGEL proclaims with a loud voice, “WHO CAN OPEN THIS BOOK???”
• What’s the answer to this question? NO MAN can open this book.
• But look closely there because there’s some very important information in verse 3.
• 3 locations for man. 1) HEAVEN, 2) EARTH, 3) UNDER THE EARTH.
• So there are men in heaven, men on earth, and men under the earth.

Right here at this time in Revelation Chapter 5, there are men in heaven the Bible says.

• So this automatically disproves soul sleep.
• When you die, your soul doesn’t just go to sleep like so many false religions teach.
• Right here at this point in the Bible before the Rapture takes place, there are men in heaven, on earth, and in hell.
• The men that are under the earth are the ones who are in hell that are unsaved.
• So again, if the saved didn’t go to heaven when you die then this verse would be a lie.
• But we know that people who are saved immediately go to heaven.
• There is no other place. There is no purgatory or whatever other man-made fairy tale places.
• You go to heaven or hell when you die. If you’re saved, you go immediately to heaven.

[10] Philippians 1:21-23 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

• When we die and are saved, we go to be with Christ. The Bible says so right there.
• Yet, false religions and so-called Christians ignore the Bible.

[11] 2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

• When our spirit leaves our body, we die.
• If we are absent from the body, we are present with the Lord. That’s saved people.

All Believers From The Past Are In Heaven

So, at this point in Revelation Chapter 5 we know that all men and women believers are in heaven.

• All people who have ever believed on the Lord Jesus Christ are in heaven right now.
• They are there in Revelation Chapter 5 BEFORE THE RAPTURE takes place.
• If I died right now, my soul would go to heaven. My soul is who I am.
• My body would be put in a grave maybe, or they might just throw me in the dumpster.
• It wouldn’t matter. My soul would be in heaven. And at the Rapture, I get a new body anyway.
• No man ANYWHERE was found worthy to open the Book!

[12] Revelation 5:4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

• John wanted to see what was in the Book so badly that he wept. No man could even look upon that book.
• It’s very sad to see that no man is worthy to open this book or even look upon the book.
• Remember it had writing on the backside of it too.
• Aren’t you glad today that we can see what that book said? I sure am. I love this Book!
• And why are we able to see today what’s in that book. Let’s keep reading for that answer.

[13] Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

• To me, this is an AMAZING part of the book.
• Who shows up to open this book for us? One of those 24 elders, he says, “Hey, don’t cry.”
• BEHOLD THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH IS HERE. He will open it. He will break those 7 seals.
• Awesome!!! Thank you Jesus.
• So look, you have God the Father on the throne with this book in His right hand.
• No man can look upon it, read it, or take it from God the Father.
• Jesus can, though. Let’s see what happens next..

[14] Revelation 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

• So this Lamb stands there in the midst of the throne, the 4 beasts, and the elders.
• The Lamb stands there as it had been slain. This Lamb has the SEVEN SPIRITS of God.
• Who has the 7 seven spirits of God? Who is the LAMB OF GOD? Who is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah? Who is the Root of David? Who was slain for us? Who is the LAMB OF GOD?

[15] John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

• The lamb was slain on the cross for our sins. But Jesus arose 3 days later.
• So this Lamb of God is alive and standing right there in the midst of the throne.
• Is that Lamb alive? Oh yeah, HE’S ALIVE!!! He is risen from the dead and He is LORD!!!

Jesus Is The Lion Of The Tribe Of Judah

Jesus is called the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

• How do we know Jesus is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah? This term is only found in 2 places in the Bible.
• Once right here in Revelation Chapter 5 and once in Genesis Chapter 49.
• So I want to look to Genesis 49 to learn a little more.

[16] Genesis 49:1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.

• If you remember this part of Genesis, Jacob or Israel is blessing his 12 sons right before he gives up the ghost or his spirit and dies.
• Judah is one of his 12 sons. Judah is one of the 12 tribes of Israel.
• So Jacob is gathering his 12 sons together to tell them about their future.
• So let’s look down to the part where Jacob is talking with Judah.

[17] Genesis 49:8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.

• The Book of Revelation brings this up at the perfect time because Jesus Christ is about to take on HIS ENEMIES.
• Jesus is the King. This book with seven seals leads up to the Day of the Lord.
• So this is perfect timing as always within the Bible.

[18] Genesis 49:9-10 Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? 10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

• So we see that the sceptre does not depart from Judah. A sceptre is what a KING has in HIS hand.
• Now, this is pretty awesome but look at the end of verse 10 in the BOOK OF GENESIS.
• It’s already talking about the Rapture right here in Genesis.
• It says, “AND UNTO HIM SHALL THE GATHERING OF THE PEOPLE BE.”
• Jesus returns as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah to gather His people.

[19] 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

• So it’s obvious that the Lion of the Tribe of Judah is Jesus Christ.
• We’ll be gathered together with Him on the Day of the Lord. Let’s look at verse 11 in Genesis Chapter 49.
• Please see this today as we’re going to look at Revelation 19 and you’ll see how close this is.
• From Genesis to Revelation, Jesus is everywhere in these books.

[20] Genesis 49:11-12 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: 12 His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.

• See that his clothing is washed in the blood of grapes. It says His eyes shall be red with wine.
• These verses in Genesis refer to Revelation Chapter 19 where Jesus returns on a white horse to make war and to judge.

What’s Jesus Christ Look Like?

[21] Revelation 19:12-13 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

• The eyes of Jesus Christ when John saw Him were like flames of fire.
• This matches Genesis 49 that says His eyes shall be red.
• He was clothed in a vesture dipped in blood just like His clothes in Genesis 49 in the blood of grapes.
• He is the Word of God Revelation 19 says right there. He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
• So now you can see where the Book of Genesis talks about Jesus and how that relates to Revelation.
• Jacob gave this prophecy in Genesis. Do we not think Jacob knew Jesus? Oh yes, he did.
• You can know that today. Now, let’s look back to Revelation 5 verse 5.

[22] Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

• Do you see the Root of David right there? What does that mean exactly?
• Look at Revelation Chapter 22 right here.

[23] Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

• Pay close attention to what it says right there: “I AM THE ROOT AND THE OFFSPRING OF DAVID.”
• What’s a root? A root is where the plant originates from in the ground.
• It’s the BASE of the plant. It’s the source of the plant. The root makes the plant grow.
• The root comes first before the large plant.

If you’re looking for the root cause of an issue, something I do all the time for my job, you’re really saying what’s the source of the problem?

• Sometimes you have to dig deeper to find the true root of the problem.
• Jesus HIMSELF says, “I am the root AND the offspring of David.”
• Jesus is the Creator, but He’s also the son of David.

[24] Matthew 22:41-45 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. 43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, 44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? 45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

• So this all ties together with the entire Bible.
• Jesus is God, but He’s also the Son of Man from the offspring of David.
• Jesus is eternal. David was created by Jesus and through Jesus.
• So Jesus is the root of David AND physically the offspring of David. Does that make sense?

[25] Revelation 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

• So we now know that this Lamb is Jesus Christ 100% without a doubt. Let’s see what happens next.

[26] Revelation 5:7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

• The Lamb of God comes and takes the book out of the right hand of God the Father who is sitting upon the throne.
• So we know Jesus isn’t sitting there on the throne at this time because He comes and takes the book out of the Father’s hand.
• Do you think anyone else could do that? “Hey God, give me that book!” No, of course not. Jesus ONLY.
• It would be a very sad day if Jesus Christ wasn’t standing up for us in front of God the Father.

[27] Revelation 5:8-9 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. 9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

• Do you see here that the 4 beasts and the 24 elders fall down before the Lamb and worship Him right here?
• “THOU ART WORTHY TO TAKE THE BOOK and OPEN THE SEALS!!!”
• They sing to Him, “For you were slain and hast redeemed us to God!”
• This proves that Jesus is God. Many so-called Christians don’t believe that Jesus is God.
• Well, this proves Jesus is God.
• The Bible is VERY CLEAR that we should worship ONLY GOD and HIM ALONE.

[28] Luke 4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

• If these beasts and elders are falling down before Jesus worshipping Him, wouldn’t you say: “JESUS IS GOD???”
• It’s very clear and easy to see this. How can Jehovah’s Witness believe that Jesus isn’t God?
• Do they ignore the entire Bible? I guess so. How could Martin Luther King Jr deny that Jesus is God?
• He was a Baptist minister! Did he read the Bible? Of course not.
• You have all these religious leaders that don’t read or understand the Bible.

Are Church Leaders Even Reading The Bible?

You can’t explain all of the Bible away. You can but every lie gets worse and worse.

• And then, you MUST begin to ignore the Bible.
• Then you MUST just pick and choose a verse here and there out of the Bible.
• You start to make the Bible say whatever you want it to say to MEET YOUR AGENDA and your goal
• Churches all around here do the same things.
• If you need more money to build more buildings, pick and choose the verses.
• Tell people they need to be giving above and beyond 10%.
• Trust God, give me all your money, and don’t worry about anything. “Oh yeah, GIVE ME THAT MONEY!!!”

[29] Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

• Jesus Christ is God. Jesus Christ is WORTHY to be praised. Am I worthy to be praised? Oh no. God forbid.
• Don’t ever praise me. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ. I am not worthy. Who is worthy to open the book?
• None of us. Jesus Christ alone.
• Whenever people fall down to worship Jesus in the Bible, they are NEVER rebuked!
• This is because Jesus is God!

You can also see that Jesus is not God the Father!

• Jesus comes and takes the book out of the hand of HE who sits on the throne.
• He didn’t come and take it from Himself. He didn’t shape shift so quickly that John didn’t see it.
• Jesus is clearly a different person from God the Father.
• Is that difficult to see here in Revelation Chapter 5?
• That’s just one of hundreds of examples that Jesus is not GOD THE FATHER.
• Saying that He is after reading the Bible is pure insanity. Seriously.
• We know that Jesus is the Son of God and is God. It’s really that simple.
• The elders and beasts are worshipping Jesus Christ. Let’s look back at Revelation 5 now.

[30] Revelation 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

• Do you see the golden vials full of odours? What are those you say?
• It says that they are the prayers of saints. Are you a saint? Are you sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ?
• Are you saved? If so, it’s talking about your prayers right here.
• God stores your prayers in these golden vials!

[31] Psalm 56:8-9 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? 9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

• God is counting and keeping track of your wanderings.
• He’s putting your prayers and tears into His bottle and in His book. God stores up the tears of His people.
• The cries are your prayers. You’re calling out to God in your prayers.
• You better understand today that God hears you. God sees you. God understands.
• He’s keeping track. Your prayers are being heard by God. He hears.
• Prayer is important and Revelation Chapter 5 is telling us that.
• Do you skip prayers? Well, you shouldn’t. God is listening. Our prayers are heard by God.

[32] James 4:2-3 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

• The Bible says right here that you have not because you ask not.
• And you might not receive what you ask for because you’re asking for the flesh.
• You’re asking for selfish reasons. But the first step is asking! You receive not because you ask not.
• Our righteous prayers are a sweet savor to the Lord. Revelation 5:8 tells us that God stores our prayers.
• He finds them to be that important. It’s like storing up cards and drawings from your children.
• You save them. They are VERY precious to you because you love them so much.

Did You Know That God Stores Up Your Prayers?

Same thing with God. He stores up your prayers. He loves you that much.

• Your prayers are important to Him. You are HIS CHILD. Your prayers aren’t junk mail.
• Your prayers don’t go in the spam email folder. He loves you so much He stores your prayers.

[33] Matthew 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

• God knows how many hairs on your head.
• He knows everything about you because He loves you that much. You’re precious to Him.
• He knows all your thoughts, your prayers, the tough times.
• He knows your tears. He knows your struggles. He knows when you need Him.
• He is a GOOD, GOOD FATHER to each and every one of HIS CHILDREN.

He becomes your Father once you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to save you.

• If you want a GOOD, GOOD FATHER believe what He says. That’s it.
• Let’s go back to Revelation 5 verse 9.

[34] Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

• The 4 beasts and the 24 elders are now singing a NEW SONG in this verse.
• In Chapter 4, they were saying: “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.”
• So now they are singing a new song! What are they singing exactly?
• Let’s read it again and add in verse 10.

[35] Revelation 5:9-10 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

• So now their new song is about Jesus Christ. He is worthy to take the book and to open the seals.
• Jesus has redeemed us! He has made us kings and priests!
• We shall reign on the earth with Him!!! That’s very exciting stuff right here.
• Verse 9 there also says that people from every kind, tongue, people, and nation are redeemed through Jesus Christ.
• In terms of salvation, God doesn’t care what race you are. He doesn’t care what language you speak.
• He doesn’t care where you live.

There is confusion over Revelation 5 verse 9 and 10.

• Some false teachers will say there are 4 beasts and 24 elders so there must by 28 different kindred, tongues, peoples, and nations.
• The 4 beasts are singing, but are these 4 beasts redeemed through the blood of Jesus Christ?
• These are not humans as we talked about this before.
• But why are they singing this song? This confuses people when they read these verses.

The Four Beasts Are Not Going To Reign On The Earth

Are the 4 beasts going to reign on the earth as they are singing this song?

• No way. They aren’t humans. But yes, they are singing the song.
• The false Pre-Tribulation Rapture people will use this Scripture in Revelation to say that this PROVES without a doubt that the 24 elders represent the entire Church and the Rapture has already taken place.
• What??? That verse proves without a doubt that the 24 elders represent the entire church???
• Where does it say that BECAUSE I must have missed it?
• You can sing a song and not be the subject of the song.
• You sing the Star Spangled Banner, right?

O’er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?

And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,

Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.

• Did you watch that? Were you there?
• Did you literally see the rocket’s red glare and the bombs bursting in air?

For example, we’re supposed to sing the Psalms. The book of Psalms is a song book. Right?

• All of the Psalms are for us to sing. The Bible commands us to sing the Psalms.
• It doesn’t matter if some false preacher says you shouldn’t be singing them.
• But it doesn’t mean what we’re singing is what we’re going to do, or what we witnessed, or what’s going to happen to us.
• People are confused by the fact that the 4 seraphim’s or 4 beasts are singing this song saying:
• “We are redeemed by His blood.” The 4 beasts aren’t redeemed by His blood.
• So remember that we’re commanded to sing the Psalms in the Bible. That’s all of them.
• It’s not just the ones talking about us specifically. It’s also Psalm 22.

[36] Psalm 22:1 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

• We’re supposed to sing this Psalm. Is that talking about us? No, it’s talking about Jesus Christ.
• God says He will never forsake you. See? You don’t have to be the subject of the song to sing the song.
• So, why do people have so many issues with the 4 beasts singing the song? I have no idea.
• It doesn’t make any sense why they have an issue with this.
• You can sing songs that aren’t about you directly.

Everybody does it all throughout their life. There is no Biblical issue with this.

• The Bible doesn’t have a mistake. It doesn’t need to be corrected.
• Some people say this MUST be a mistake. Again, there is no issue with the 4 beasts singing this song!
• They aren’t singing it about themselves. It’s there for us to see as we read through Revelation!

[37] Revelation 5:9-10 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

• We could take those words, put them to music, and sing this song. That’s what they’re doing here.
• This song wasn’t just made for those 24 elders and 4 beasts.
• This song was made for ALL OF US who are saved.
• It doesn’t apply to the 4 beasts but they are singing it! It’s not from their perspective.

[38] Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

• God has made us kings and priests. We need to understand this.
• One of the biggest obstacles to understanding Revelation is thinking that today’s PHYSICAL nation of Israel is the Holy Nation.
• The nation of Israel is man-made by the UN in 1948. It wasn’t always there.
• It was made in 1948 by the world’s one world government United Nations.

Unbelievers Of Any Nation Are Not God’s Chosen People

Unbelieving Jews in the man-made nation of Israel are NOT God’s Chosen People.

• You’ll hear things like: “Well, God’s not finished with them yet.” Well, you’re right..
• He hasn’t thrown the unbelievers into the lake of fire yet and the second death YET.
• They do have that to look forward to. This song FIXES all of that.
• Notice again that it says, “All People, All Kindred, All Tongues, All Nations!!!”
• Whosoever believeth on Him HATH everlasting life.

[39] 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

• Do you see where it says, “YOU ARE A HOLY NATION!”
• Who is he talking to right here in 1 Peter Chapter 2 verse 9?
• The royal priesthood and the holy nation are the same people.
• These are SAVED people who believe on Jesus Christ.
• This is not talking about the nation of Israel who is still in darkness.
• They sure haven’t been called out of darkness because they still HATE Jesus Christ.
• The nation of Israel is not God’s Chosen People. They deny Jesus Christ.
• Then some will say that this 1 Peter 2:9 is still talking about the Jews that do believe.
• Well, when you say things like that you should really read the entire chapter or even the next verse.

[40] 1 Peter 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

• Obviously, it’s not talking about any Jews right here. “In time past were NOT a people.”
• Jews have been a people for a VERY long time.
• The group of people who are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people ARE the people who believe on Jesus Christ!
• That’s it. It doesn’t matter if you’re Jew or Gentile.

Your physical body, your race, your ethnicity does not matter to God to be saved!

• 1 Peter Chapter 2 is written to SAVED people. He’s writing to BELIEVERS.
• They were not a people in times past it says. You’ve become the people of God through Jesus Christ.
• Saved people = God’s people.
• Believers are a ROYAL PRIESTHOOD and a HOLY NATION.

People will agree that saved people are God’s people BUT:

• They also continue to say that Jews are still God’s chosen people.
• Even the unbelievers because “GOD’s not finished with them YET.”
• Well, let’s put a stop to that belief right now. Let’s see what the Bible says.
• If you keep this in your head that the Jews are still God’s chosen people, you won’t be able to understand the Book of Revelation or the rest of the Bible properly.
• Unbelieving Jews or the PHYSICAL nation of Jews are not God’s chosen people.
• It’s 100% wrong and there’s NO DOUBT that it’s wrong.

God’s covenant with Israel is CONDITIONAL.

• Once again, we’re going to see the New Testament quoting the Old Testament.
• 1 Peter Chapter 2 is quoting the Book of Exodus.

[41] Exodus 19:5-6 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

• Do you see what it says right there? “IF” you will obey my voice and “IF” you keep my covenant.
• “IF” you do that, then you shall be a peculiar treasure.
• “IF” you do that, then you shall be unto me a kingdom of priests and an holy nation.
• So, if they don’t obey God and keep His covenant (it’s not a one way deal here).
• They will NOT be a holy nation. Do you see this? It’s conditional.
• It’s not because they’re born a certain race.

The Religion Of Judaism Hates Jesus

I’ve told a church leader this before.

• I said, “Hey, they hate Jesus.” And he says, “Well, I still believe they’re God’s chosen people.”
• “God will make them believe one day.” God doesn’t make anyone believe. He gave us free will.
• That goes against everything we know about God.
• The Bible tells us that you don’t have the Father if you don’t have the Son.
• If you truly understand who GOD is, you know He exists as 3 persons and ONE GOD.
• You can’t have one without all 3! If you think you can, you have a false God. It’s not the right one.
• Your false god has no power. Your false god is a fairy tale.

God says “IF” you obey me and keep my covenant.

• Do you think people who don’t believe on Jesus Christ have obeyed God and kept His covenant?
• NO!!! No way. That’s not obeying God. He commands us to believe on Jesus Christ.
• Is that obeying God if we don’t?

Do you see where Exodus 19:5 says that “IF” they keep my covenant?

• That’s definitely a condition, right? They must obey and keep His covenant. Did they keep the covenant?
• The Bible gives us this answer directly. We don’t have to guess. Here’s the answer.

[42] Hebrews 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

• Who says they didn’t keep HIS COVENANT? THE LORD SAITH!!! Not me. Not you. The LORD said it.
• Are the Jews and the physical nation of Israel God’s chosen ones? No!!!
• God says right there that HE REGARDED THEM NOT!!!
• Why do all the so-called Christians continue to support the nation of Israel and continue to send HATERS of Jesus Christ all their money?

That’s a great way to receive the WRATH OF GOD. And it will come to those false churches.

• These churches don’t even look at the Bible.
• If you see this today, you’re one of the VERY, VERY few who aren’t deceived in this ENTIRE AREA.
• Praise God for that today. Thank you God for showing us the truth with your word.

The Old Covenant Was Broken

• We’re in the New Testament now. There’s a NEW COVENANT now.
• Rightly dividing the word of God is very simple. The OLD COVENANT is broken!
• We’re in the New Covenant now. Look what Jesus says right here in Matthew Chapter 21.

[43] Matthew 21:42-43 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

• Jesus was rejected by the Jews. He was put to death by them.
• Jesus says the Kingdom of God shall be taken from you AND given to a NATION bringing forth the fruits.
• Is it a physical nation on this earth? No, it’s not. It’s a holy nation of believers on Jesus Christ.
• And you’re part of it if you’re saved.
• In the past, we were not a people BUT now we have BECOME A PEOPLE! Do you understand that?
• I hope you see that today. We are a people of all types. All kindred’s, all tongues, all nations.
• It’s ANYONE who believes on Jesus Christ. A-N-Y-O-N-E!!!

[44] Deuteronomy 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

• At the time this was written, were the children of Israel a HOLY PEOPLE unto the Lord?
• Yes they were. He says they are a special people unto HIMSELF. They are above all people He says.
• This is all true.

[45] Deuteronomy 14:2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

• So He repeats it again.
• In Exodus we learn that IF they obey and continue in His covenant, they will continue to be HIS PEOPLE.
• In Deuteronomy, they are doing what they’re supposed to be doing.
• They are HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE at that time. What about now?
• Those false teachers around here use Deuteronomy 7:6 and 14:2, but they will ignore Exodus Chapter 19 and Hebrews Chapter 8.

Pickers And Choosers Of The Word Of God

• Did you know God hates when people just pick and choose the words they want to hear?
• People who take His words and just use them to make it say whatever they want.
• I know He hates that BECAUSE I hate it. And I guarantee you HE HATES IT WAY MORE than I do.
• Has anyone ever taken your words and twisted them? And then used them against you?
• That makes you mad. Just think how mad God is with these people. I don’t want any part of that.

Do you see how the Jews have broken God’s covenant in every way that you can imagine?

• They think the Old Testament is a fairy tale.
• They think the story of creation is a fairy tale like a Disney movie.
• They think Noah and the flood is just a story. They believe in evolution.
• They rejected Jesus Christ and killed Him. They’ll tell you they hate Jesus and would kill Him again.
• They say: “HE’S A FALSE MESSIAH!!!”
• Do you still believe the Jews and the Physical Nation of Israel are God’s Chosen People?
• If you do, pay close attention to this passage of Scripture.

[46] 1 Thessalonians 2:14-16 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: 15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

• This says they PLEASE NOT GOD. That’s the opposite of obeying God.
• It also says that God’s WRATH is come upon them to the uttermost.
• The Jews and the physical nation of Israel are NOT God’s chosen people.
• Why? Because the Bible says so. Were the children of Israel once God’s chosen people.
• Yes, Deuteronomy says so. But they aren’t any more because they broke the COVENANT.
• The Bible says so.

Let’s go back to the NEW SONG in Revelation Chapter 5.

• You should now see that the NEW SONG they are singing is not upon the PHYSICAL SEED of Abraham and the nation of Israel
• The Kingdom of God is upon all BELIEVERS!!!
• Anyone who says they children of Israel are still God’s chosen people DO NOT KNOW or understand the Bible properly.
• Hear what it says!!! If you don’t believe what the Bible says, hear this verse.

[47] John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

• If you’re saved, you’ll hear God’s words in the Bible. You won’t ignore His words.
• You’ll know that God is GOD and you can’t make up your own God.
• “Let God be TRUE and every man a liar.” What God says is THE TRUTH.

[48] Revelation 5:11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

• John, in the spirit, is now hearing the voice of many angels round about the throne.
• He also hears the voice of the beasts and the elders. How many were there?
• 10,000 TIMES 10,000 and thousands of thousands.
• 10,000 times 10,000 is 100 MILLION and then there’s more than that.
• The Book of Daniel also talks about God’s throne being surrounded by this HUGE multitude of ANGELS.

[49] Daniel 7:9-10 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

• So you have this HUGE number of angels round about the throne.
• At least 100 million angels standing there.
• Can you visualize that in your head? It’s tough to do because there are so many.

Angels Followed Satan And Are Now Fallen Angels

Many angels followed Satan when he was fallen.

• Satan has a large army of fallen angels, minions, demons, or whatever you want to call them.
• They work in this world to deceive and to stop the word of God.
• But guess what? God has a bigger, stronger, and MUCH MORE POWERFUL army of angels.
• God is ALL POWERFUL. One of God’s angels has the keys to hell and will lock Satan in there one day.
• Obviously, God’s angels are stronger because they have God backing them.
• So don’t be discouraged by Satan and his army. God will take care of us. We’ve already won.
• But we win again in the end. We get victories. They get death in the lake of fire.
• Let’s go back to Revelation 5 and finish up starting there in verse 12.

[50] Revelation 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

• All of these angels, 24 elders, and 4 beasts are saying with a loud voice (IN ONE ACCORD):
• “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive POWER, and RICHES, and WISDOM, and STRENGTH, and HONOR, and GLORY, and BLESSING.”
• Worthy is the Lamb to receive all of those things.
• So keep in mind that John is seeing and hearing all of this. And I love this next verse.
• It’s not just the angels, the elders, the beasts saying this. Who else is saying this?
• Let’s see in the next verse.

[51] Revelation 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

• So it’s every creature in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth.
• All that are in the sea, EVERYWHERE!!! Now, does that sound AMAZING or what? It sure does to me.
• Every CREATURE everywhere. Even the dead souls in hell will be saying it.

[52] Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

• No one is excluded. Every knee should bow EVERYWHERE!!!
• They will speak and confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD to the glory of GOD THE FATHER!!!
• This shows God’s greatness and how HIGHLY He has exalted His Son Jesus Christ.

[53] Revelation 5:14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

• The four beasts said, “AMEN.” This means this is true.
• Then the 24 elders fell down and worshipped Him that liveth forever and ever.

This is an amazing chapter because it glorifies Jesus Christ GREATLY.

• You can’t glorify Jesus Christ enough. This chapter shows us this. Jesus is God.
• After you read this Chapter, I’m not sure how anyone could say that Jesus isn’t God.
• He’s being worshipped in this chapter by ALL CREATURES.
• I also don’t see how anyone could say that Jesus is God the Father.
• Jesus comes and takes the book out of the hand of the Father who is sitting on the throne.
• Revelation Chapter 5 proves they’re different.
• This chapter shows how amazing Jesus Christ, the Son of God, OUR SAVIOR truly is.
• We thank God for HIS GREATNESS and for saving us.
