[2] The title of the sermon: “OUR WORSHIP VERSUS PENTECOSTAL WORSHIP.”
Is Our Worship Of God Wrong As The Pentecostals Accuse?
- I was told by a Pentecostal that our worship of God is comparable to a funeral home.
- He told me that the Pentecostal way of worship must be the right way because they are so joyful.
- They tell me that they have energy for God. And that we are more like a funeral home. Dead.
- Is this the truth? Why don’t we use the Scriptures to find the truth? Pentecostals can’t do that.
- They worship Satan so it’s difficult for them to see any of the truth in the Bible.
Surely there must be some examples of what God wants for worship of Him.
- And yes, there are many examples of people worshipping God in the Bible.
- There are examples of what church is like in the Bible.
- Why don’t we actually use God’s word to find the truth?
- The Pentecostals profess to believe the Bible.
- Shouldn’t there be an example of their style of worship in the Bible?
I want to start out with the way our Lord Jesus Christ had church with His disciples.
- Do you remember what they did? Do you remember what happened?
- Let’s take a look at that to start. We look to Matthew Chapter 26.
- This the Last Supper or the last Passover meal for Jesus Christ before He dies on the cross.
[3] Matthew 26:20-23 Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve. 21 And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. 22 And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? 23 And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
[4] Matthew 26:24-25 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. 25 Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.
[5] Matthew 26:26-28 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
- First, we see Jesus Christ teaching them. How does He teach them? Through preaching.
- Jesus didn’t waste time. He finished the work that His Father gave Him to do.
- This right here is vital for Jesus to do. He didn’t waste time running around the room screaming.
Actually, that’s not in the Bible once. You never see people speaking in babble to worship God.
- You never see people flopping on the floor to worship God.
- You never see people chanting JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, JESUS over and over again.
- The Pentecostal way of worship is a fairy tale. Satan loves this style of worship. God doesn’t.
- If God loved it so much, why don’t we see any commands from Him to worship Him like they do?
[6] Matthew 26:29-30 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom. 30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
- Now, take a look at that. They meet together. Jesus teaches them through preaching.
- They sing a hymn. And then they go out. And what do they do after this?
- Jesus teaches them some more. He is always teaching them through preaching of God’s words.
So, we worship God through the preaching of God’s words. This is what Jesus does constantly.
- Does He not? Do you see Jesus running around the temple screaming and praising God?
- No, we don’t. Do you know what we do see? Even as a child Jesus taught truth in the temple.
[7] Luke 2:46-47 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. 47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
[8] Luke 2:48-49 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
- His Father’s business is spreading the truth in God’s words.
- What does running around screaming profit anyone? This is not worship of God.
- Chanting is not worship of God. Chanting closely resembles witchcraft and sorcery.
- Speaking in babble doesn’t resemble anything that is in the Bible.
[9] Luke 21:37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
[10] Matthew 26:55 In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.
[11] Luke 21:37-38 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. 38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
- He’s teaching. He’s praying. He’s doing what God asked Him to do. This is who we follow.
- We don’t follow the Pentecostal way. They actually believe that their way of worship is correct.
- Do you know why? Because they “CAN FEEL IT!!!” They “FEEL ALL THE EMOTIONS.”
- Guess what? Find me a Scripture for that. You can’t. It doesn’t exist.
They act as if we can’t be joyful and have peace within unless we jump, shout, scream, and run in church.
- “Oh look! We have a runner! There he goes!”
- How would Jesus teach and get the attention of people with people running and screaming everywhere?
- I don’t read any Scriptures that say people were running and screaming while Jesus taught them.
- In schools where children are taught, you must have ORDER. You must have quiet in order to hear.
- If you want to hear God’s words, you can’t have people running around screaming.
- But guess what? The Pentecostals don’t teach God’s words. They hear what they want.
- And what they want is CHAOS in their devil churches.
[12] Hebrews 5:5-8 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. 6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
- Jesus offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto God.
- We do the same in church. We pray to God in church. We worship Him through prayer.
- We ask for the Holy Spirit to teach us and to be with us as we teach His truth.
- We don’t tell our own stories constantly. We focus on the Scriptures as you can see.
Why Aren’t The Pentecostals Focusing On The Scriptures Versus Running, Chanting, And Screaming?
Churches don’t do this any more. Pentecostals never do this. They focus on emotions.
- Emotions don’t give you the truth. They want to queue up their Hillsong music.
- They want to queue up their Bethel music. This music speaks of another god who is not God Almighty.
- They worship Satan with their music. They wait for their emotions to build up until they burst.
And they call this the Holy Spirit. They take off running and screaming.
- “Oh, another runner!!! We’re doing good today!!!”
- They measure their worship success on how many runners and screamers they get.
- They measure their worship success by the amount of chaos they have in the church.
- Jesus obeyed His Father in heaven. It takes obedience to listen to preaching of God’s words.
- Verse 8 says that Jesus learned obedience by the things which he suffered.
Long sermons definitely aren’t a favorite for most people. They whine and they cry about long sermons.
- They don’t want to sit, be obedient to God, and learn the truth in God’s words.
- They want entertainment. They want good feelings that make them feel good.
- They want to celebrate like it’s a party all the time. This is the Pentecostals.
- They lack the truth in God’s words, and you can easily see this in their so-called “worship” services.
How do we worship God in this church? We take prayer requests. We bow our head to the Lord.
- We pray for others. We pray MAINLY that people see and hear the truth in God’s words.
- We sing hymns and psalms as we saw Jesus do.
- We know the Bible commands us to sing psalms and hymns.
We read the Scriptures before the sermon. We read an entire chapter before the sermon.
- One chapter in the Bible might be more Scripture than the Pentecostals get the entire year in church.
- We pray for the Holy Spirit to come upon us as we preach God’s words. We want the truth here.
- We aren’t afraid to preach the truth in God’s words. This is how we worship Him. Others are scared.
- They won’t preach the truth. Instead they sing feel good songs for most of the so-called “church” service.
- We use the Scriptures in the sermons. We learn new things from the Bible constantly.
We are learning, finding the truth, searching the Scriptures, seeking God, seeking His truth, and worshipping Him.
- We thank God. We praise God. We speak to God within ourselves. He hears us.
- But the Pentecostals want to attack us because they think we are like a funeral home.
- Let me be clear. The men can speak out in church all they want. The women are to be silent.
- Did you see how I am not afraid to preach that? It doesn’t bother me at all.
But do the Pentecostals teach this? No, the women are chanting and screaming out constantly.
- If a man has something to say while I am preaching, say it. I welcome it.
- We aren’t like a funeral home. The children can make a little noise. It doesn’t bother me at all.
- If you want to get up and do a dance because you’re so happy, go ahead.
- We aren’t against instruments. We love instruments. We’ll use instruments.
We aren’t against happiness and joy. I love to be happy and joyful. But people who come here want to learn.
- So they are quiet because they are listening to the preaching of God’s words.
- Is something wrong with that? No, this is how we worship God.
- We worship Him in Spirit and truth. Our Spirit listens to His true words and we’re quiet.
- We’re quiet because we are learning. We don’t learn through chaos.
- How do we worship God here? Let’s see.
[13] John 4:23-24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
- Now, let me ask you this: Do the Pentecostals spread the truth of God’s words in their churches?
- What type of salvation do they preach and teach? They teach a works based salvation.
- They teach that you must repent of all your sin, you must be baptized in water, you must speak in babble.
- And then you must continue to obey God the rest of your life to be saved. Are they doing that? No.
- How in the world are they worshipping God in spirit and in truth when they don’t preach truth?
What does God want? What does verse 23 say right there? “True worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit.”
- “And in truth: FOR THE FATHER SEEKETH SUCH TO WORSHIP HIM.”
- When Jesus was teaching this to the woman at the well, He didn’t start running and screaming.
- What did He do? He taught her the truth. God’s words are spiritual.
When we read His words, they are spirit. They are life. We love God’s words.
- False preachers will attack us and call us names because we lift God’s words here.
- They will say that we are doing wrong by magnifying God’s words. This is how we worship Him.
- This is how we honor Him. This is what He wants from us in church.
[14] Psalm 138:1-2 A Psalm of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. 2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
- We will praise God with our whole heart by worshipping Him, praising His name, and what else?
- We will worship Him by magnifying His words. And the so-called “Christians” attack us for that.
- God magnified His own words above all His name. We will do the same.
Why Speak In Babble When Most Understand English Around Here?
The Pentecostals spread lies in their worship services. They babble all service long and tell lies.
- Most everyone understands English. They interpet in English. What’s the point? There is no point.
- They have a false gospel, which is the easiest doctrine in all the Bible to understand.
- If they can’t understand the simplicity of the Gospel, they can’t understand anything else.
[15] John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
- They can’t understand this Scripture. Being born of the water is being born of the flesh.
- This isn’t talking about water baptism as they believe. This is talking about being born of the flesh.
- But, in order to make it to heaven, you must be born of the Spirit.
- How are you going to be born of the Spirit?
[16] John 3:15-16 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[17] John 3:17-18 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
- Believe on Jesus Christ and HAVE everlasting life. That’s the truth that they will NEVER teach.
[18] John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
- That is their so-called Lord Jesus Christ speaking there, but they don’t believe Him.
- They add works to salvation, and the entire Bible preaches against a works based salvation.
- And yet, they teach a works based salvation in their churches. Are they worshipping God?
- No, they are corrupted. And they attack us for worshipping God the way He told us to worship Him.
Can you imagine what you would learn if people were running around screaming, yelling babble, chanting things, flopping on the floor, and shaking in their chairs while I was preaching?
- You wouldn’t learn anything because you would be watching the idiots do these things.
- They are foolish for believing that this is worshipping God. They go by their feelings and emotions.
- They do what makes them feel good, which is not worshipping God in spirit.
- They are attempting to worship God in their own fleshly desires that they love to FEEL.
- “Well, I just love the feeling that I get in a Pentecostal church. I can FEEL THE SPIRIT.”
- Hey, guess what? That’s not God’s Spirit you’re feeling. That’s an evil spirit deceiving you. WAKE UP.
You can choose God’s way of worship, or you can do the opposite like the Pentecostals.
- You can study how people worship God throughout the Bible.
- Did the Pentecostals ever think about actually looking at the Scriptures to see how God is worshipped?
- No, they don’t. They made up their own way and then they attack God’s way of worship. Do you see this?
- “You all are at a funeral home while we are at a party for God.” Really??? God says different.
[19] Genesis 24:26 And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD.
- Because someone is quiet and bowing their head doesn’t mean they aren’t worshipping the Lord.
- The Bible says that they are. We humble ourselves before God.
- We’re quiet because we want to hear what God has to say and not some babbling fool.
[20] Genesis 24:48 And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the LORD, and blessed the LORD God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master’s brother’s daughter unto his son.
- “And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the Lord, and blessed the Lord God.”
- Can you imagine this servant worshipping God like the Pentecostals do right there?
- Rebekah would have thought he was crazy. But no, he simply bowed his head and worshipped God.
[21] Exodus 4:31 And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.
[22] Exodus 34:8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
[23] 2 Chronicles 29:30 Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped.
- Worship is bowing your head. Worship is falling on your knees in reverence.
- The Pentecostal way of worship is the exact opposite. They run around like lunatics.
- They shout and scream because they need to wake up their false god.
[24] Matthew 4:9-10 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
- Screaming, shouting, and running around while someone is trying to teach the word of God is not worship.
- Falling down and humbling yourself is worship. Even Satan knows this but Pentecostals don’t.
- They talk trash about how we worship God and this sermon is a response to that.
[25] Matthew 15:8-9 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
- We worship God by teaching His words. We don’t teach lies.
Teaching Truth In God’s Words = Worship Of God = Pentecostals Can’t Do This
[26] Matthew 14:33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
- When we profess the truth out of our mouth, we worship the Lord Jesus Christ.
- In other words, we worship Him from the start of the service to the very end of the service.
- We don’t preach lies about Jesus Christ here in this church.
- When you come here, you can know that we worship the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Do you see the difference? We proclaim that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
- We proclaim that Jesus Christ is the Almighty God. We proclaim that He is the Alpha and Omega.
- We know for certain that He is the beginning and the end.
[27] Matthew 15:25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
- This is worship of God. PLEASE HELP ME, JESUS. Please help us, Jesus. We pray for each other.
- Why? Because we all need help. We all need Jesus Christ. We worship Him in this way.
[28] Acts 17:22-24 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. 24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
- We don’t have to go to a church to worship God. We don’t need a building to worship Him.
- Church isn’t about the building. We can bow our heads ANYWHERE and worship God.
- We don’t need to go to a high place to get God’s attention.
- We don’t need to get on the roof so He can see us and hear us. He doesn’t dwell in a building.
- We don’t need to go to the Catholic church to bow down to a statue to worship God Almighty.
We don’t need to shout, scream with all that we have, and draw attention to ourselves.
- “Oh, look at him running an screaming. He must love the Lord.” We don’t need to do those things.
- The Pentecostals preach that they are the true worshippers of God.
- They act as if everyone else is not worshipping God. Well, we use the Scriptures to find the truth.
- And that is the worship of God. And we know what the worship of God means.
I used the words worship, worshipped, worshippeth, and worshipping to study the Bible.
- You can do the same. You’ll find 189 word matches in 181 verses in the Bible.
- I studied all of those matches for this sermon. I know how to worship God.
- But the Pentecostals way of worship is the exact opposite of how to worship God.
- Let me show you another Scripture that explains this to us.
[29] Acts 24:14-15 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: 15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
- Paul says: “So I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets.”
- So, let me ask you: “Do the Pentecostals worship God by believing all things which are written in the Scriptures? Do they?
- Jesus Christ HIMSELF says this over and over again:
[30] John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
- We worship Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth. Those words right there are spirit and truth.
- Do they believe what Jesus says right there? No, they don’t.
- The Bible says that we worship God by believing His words. Do they believe that right there?
- No, they don’t. They make up things like works are included in BELIEVING.
- They are so corrupted that they actually think believing includes working for it.
- So, you can’t worship God without believing His words. Understand that now.
[31] Philippians 3:1-3 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. 2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. 3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
- We rejoice IN THE LORD. We believe IN THE LORD. We know HE IS THE SAVIOR.
- We know that our flesh and our works will do nothing for salvation.
- We know that Jesus Christ is all we need for salvation. He is the Almighty God.
- He can save us on His own without our works. We have ZERO CONFIDENCE in this flesh.
The Pentecostals put all their confidence in themselves. This is very foolish.
- You can see this because they think their way of worship is the right way. They made it up.
- Speaking in babble is a fairy tale that isn’t found in the Bible once.
- Water baptism being a part of salvation is a fairy tale. Repenting of sin for salvation is a fairy tale.
- “REJOICE IN THE LORD. Beware of dogs, evil workers, and beware of the concision.”
- BEWARE OF PEOPLE WHO PUT THEIR CONFIDENCE IN THEIR OWN WORKS.
- The Bible teaches this. They are evil workers, but they think they worship God.
You must worship God in the spirit and not in the flesh because the flesh is sinful.
- When you thinks your works will save you, you trust in your flesh.
- This is very foolish. You won’t make it to heaven. You aren’t worshipping God that way.
- If you are following your feelings and emotions, you aren’t worshipping God.
- If you’re only doing what makes YOU feel good, you aren’t worshipping God.
[32] Hebrews 11:21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
- Jacob was dying and he worshipped God by leaning over upon the top of his staff.
- As a Pentecostal, you better be able to run and scream to worship God “correctly” according to them.
- Jacob was dying and he was still able to worship God. Praying to God is worshipping Him.
- Singing hymns and psalms to God is worship of God.
- “But it’s not Hillsong or Bethel so you all aren’t worshipping God the right way.”
- Let me be clear. Hillsong and Bethel music isn’t being sung to God. They sing to the devil.
Do People In Heaven Know How To Worship God? Do You Think They Run Around The Throne Of God Yelling, Screaming, Flopping, and Chanting?
Do you think people in heaven know how to worship God properly?
- Do you think they’re running around His throne screaming, shouting, and singing Hillsong?
- The Bible shows us what they do. Let’s see.
[33] Revelation 4:10-11 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
- That’s worship. It doesn’t include running, screaming, and chanting the same thing over and over again.
- It doesn’t include a fat and gluttonous man up in a pulpit screaming and chanting the same thing.
- When someone worships God correctly, their words actually mean something.
- “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power.”
- “For thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
- We are all created for God’s pleasure. When we do right, we please God.
[34] Revelation 5:13-14 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.
[35] Revelation 11:16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
- Have you noticed that the Pentecostal way of worship isn’t in the Bible?
- They mock the way we worship God because we read His words and believe His words.
- We don’t believe the Pentecostal way so they get upset. JESUS IS THE WAY.
- All other ways lead to death and hell. I will follow the way of worship that Jesus wants.
When we come to church, we worship God through prayer. We do this orderly.
- We worship God by singing psalms and hymns with the correct doctrine.
- We don’t sing Hillsong music here because they fools who teach a different God.
- They only want to sing about a false god who would never pour out his wrath on people.
- We worship God by reading His Scriptures. We do this orderly.
We worship God by preaching and teaching His words. We use His words for everything.
- We don’t do short sermons with a Scripture or two. God gave us this entire Bible to learn.
- I want to get through teaching and preaching the entire Bible. I want to learn.
- I don’t want to spend 2 years in 1 Timothy Chapter 3. I need to get through the Bible.
- I am running out of time. I want to learn more. That’s why we spend time in the Bible.
We do this because we love God. Only people who love God and want to hear His words will come here.
- I do this purposely. We’re looking for people who love God and love to worship Him through His words.
- The way we have church here is the way God wants church to be because we use His words.
- We follow His design. This gets rid of people like Judas Iscariot. They don’t want to come here.
- Sodomites who want to abuse children will leave because they’ll never get a chance alone with children in this church.
Not so with the Pentecostals. They want YOUR CHILDREN in Sunday School.
- Let me give a tip to all the parents out there. Watch out for those Pentecostal children pastors.
- Watch out for the effeminate pastors out there. They are hunting your children. Watch out.
Pentecostal preachers are ALWAYS abusing children. And it doesn’t surprise me at all.
- Look it up for yourselves. They are in the news everywhere for abusing children. They are sickos.
- They scare children into doing what THEY SAY.
We get children to follow God’s laws through faith in His words. We grow their faith every church service.
- We don’t tell lies about God and His words to scare the children. We tell them the truth about God.
- You should be very afraid of God. You should fear God, and then, you will do what He says.
We preach the word of God here, and we go into the deep things of God for a reason.
- Some people have said: “Well, your daughters know more than me about the word of God.”
- These people don’t want to spend the time reading, studying, and listening to preaching.
- My daughters sit there and listen and love to hear the word of God.
[36] 1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
- We love preaching God’s words here. I welcome the men to preach here if they would like.
- Do you know why? You’ll learn what a man believes when he preaches. You’ll hear his beliefs.
- And we all get to judge these beliefs. “Hey, watch out for that man.”
- For example, people who have been here for a while know the truth from the Bible.
- If you stand up here and preach something that isn’t true, they will know.
- If you are a false preacher, we will know because we learn the truth here.
We have church in order. We sit here and listen to the preaching instead of causing distractions.
- If you chant the entire time I am preaching, how will you hear any of the preaching?
- How will the person next to you hear anything? I love order. God loves order. He says so.
- Everything we do in church is in order. Look at what happens in heaven. It’s in order.
God Is A God Of Order. He Loves For Us To Do All Things In Order.
Read the Bible. It’s in order. Read about the tabernacle. Did you not read Exodus?
- Did you not read Leviticus? Did you not read Numbers? Do you see how the camp is organized?
- If you look up the phrase “IN ORDER” in the King James Bible, you’ll see what I mean.
- GOD LOVES THINGS TO BE DONE IN ORDER. Pentecostals hate order. They love confusion.
- They love confusing their children. They teach little girls that they’re going to hell if they cut their hair.
- They teach little girls that they’re going to hell if they wear jewelry UNLESS the pastor’s wife says it’s okay.
- None of the things they preach and teach are in the Bible. Their “worship services” are chaos.
[37] 1 Corinthians 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
- And that’s what we’ll do here. In our lives, we will have order. God commands this.
- Let ALL THINGS be done decently and in order. If not, there is chaos and confusion.
[38] 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
- If you’ve ever been in a Pentecostal church, you will see the chaos and confusion.
- Babies are crying because it’s so loud from all the screaming, babbling, flopping, and shaking.
- “Oh that baby just don’t have the spirit yet!!! Don’t worry that baby will get the spirit.”
[39] Colossians 2:4-5 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. 5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
- I am warning anyone who is thinking of going to a Pentecostal church. DON’T DO IT.
- “My girlfriend wants me to come to church with her at her Pentecostal church.”
- Hey young man, RUN THE OTHER WAY. Get away. This will be the best thing for you.
- “My boyfriend wants me to come to church with him at his Pentecostal church.”
- “He says the APOSTOLIC WAY is the way to heaven.” Hey young lady, RUN AWAY FAST. Don’t do it.
- Don’t allow them to beguile you with enticing words just as verse 4 says right there.
Verse 5 says, “I am with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order.”
- God has joy in ORDER. He loves things to be orderly. Do you think He wants church different than orderly?
- No, He doesn’t. But the Pentecostals want to attack us for the way we worship God with order.
- So, let me be clear. We aren’t like the so-called “Church of Christ” here either.
- We love instruments. We just need more people that play them. We will use instruments.
- We won’t have a rock concert in church with people up above us and individual performances.
- Not going to happen. God loves instruments. Read the Bible. He loves them.
We are not against dancing. We just do it at the right time. For example, I will dance at home when I am joyful.
- My wife has seen it. My kids have seen it. You have not seen it.
- I’m not going to distract from God when I am preaching.
- You don’t see Jesus preaching, stopping, and then dancing. Paul doesn’t do this. Peter doesn’t do this.
- Now, if you want to dance some while we’re singing to God, I welcome this.
- Just don’t make it about you. Make it about God.
[40] Psalm 150:4-6 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
- There’s instruments. There’s dance. Miriam danced. David danced.
[41] Psalm 149:3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
- It’s good to dance if you’re praising God. When someone believes on Jesus, we should dance.
[42] Exodus 15:20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
- Miriam had a good reason to dance. God just saved all of them from the Egyptians.
[43] 2 Samuel 6:14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
- David didn’t dance for attention. He danced BEFORE THE LORD with all his might.
- He was praising God with all that he had. And there’s A TIME to do these things.
[44] Ecclesiastes 3:4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
- When we’re preaching and learning God’s words, it’s a good idea to use your brain and tune in.
- If you’re dancing, you probably aren’t going to hear God’s words.
- These Scriptures are His actual words, and we need to hear them.
- We need to do things in order.
There’s a time for everything. There is a time to weep. Pentecostals would say:
- “If you’re weeping, you definitely don’t have joy for the Lord.”
- They act as if every moment in church should be dancing, screaming, and yelling without order.
- When my children were born, I had tears coming from my eyes because I was so happy.
- That was a time of joy for me. Other people might dance. I’m different from others.
- Everyone is different. You might laugh, and I might cry. There is a time for everything.
During preaching of God’s words, I welcome the men to speak out.
- Let the women be silent in the churches. NOT THE MEN. Understand that.
- When I preach right, I welcome you to tell me about it.
- If you want to say something, say it. And then I’ll keep going. Judge what I say.
- But use the word of God to judge what I preach.
[45] Ecclesiastes 3:7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
- When it’s time to speak, speak. When it’s time to be silent, be silent.
- So, I’ve explained our way of worship versus the Pentecostal way of worship.
- We’ll continue to do things the way God wants. I don’t care if you think it’s boring.
Is God’s Style Of Worship Too Boring For You? Is Reading the Bible Too Boring For You? Is Long Preaching Too Boring For You?
You think it’s boring because you’re not worshipping God in the spirit.
- You want your flesh to be pleased. I AM JOYFUL WHEN I HEAR GOD’S WORDS.
- Pentecostals aren’t. They want more because His words aren’t enough.
- They want entertainment because that’s what the world wants.
We will pray, bow our heads, and sing songs with proper doctrine to God.
- We will praise Him throughout church. We will read His Scriptures and love His words.
- We will believe His words. We will teach the milk and the meat of His words.
- We will do things in order as God commands. We will worship God.
- And then we will pray some more. Pentecostals can do it their own way, which is not God’s way.
If you want to know what church was like in the New Testament, you can see an example in Acts Chapter 20.
- And yes, we match this example. We follow after the words of the Bible. We do what God wants.
- This will be the last set of Scripture for this sermon so please see this example.
[46] Acts 20:7-8 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. 8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.
- This is the first day of the week. This is Sunday. They gathered together. This is church.
- What happened? Paul preached unto them. He continued his speed until midnight.
- He preached a long time. Most people can’t listen to a sermon for an hour. They whine and complain.
- Why? Because they have to get home and watch TV. It’s more exciting.
[47] Acts 20:9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
- Church wasn’t a show then and it shouldn’t be a show now.
- So-called “Christians” in all the churches today would call Paul boring.
- Paul didn’t try to look like a teenager with skinny jeans, gelled hair, and the latest fashion trends from sodomites.
- He preached a long time because the word of God needed to spread. And we need it now just as bad.
We don’t worship God like it’s a funeral home here as we are accused of doing.
- They just think it’s a funeral home because they need entertainment.
- They need smoke, flashing lights, and a praise and worship team that stands up on a stage.
- They need large preachers who eat everything in sight. WATCH OUT. They will devour you.
- I hope you see the difference in the right way to worship and the Pentecostal way to worship.
- We worship God. They worship Satan. We preach the true Gospel. They preach a false gospel.
- We preach faith. They preach works. Understand the difference right now. Light versus dark.
Let’s pray.
