[2] The title of the sermon: “GENESIS CHAPTER 20.”

The Wicked City Filled With Sodomites Was Destroyed

  • In Genesis Chapter 19, we saw the wicked city of Sodom destroyed by God.
  • Sodomites or homosexuals filled that city. And we saw what God thinks of homosexuals.
  • God takes vengeance on them. Sodomites will say: “But we aren’t doing anything wrong.”
  • If they weren’t doing anything wrong, why would God take vengeance on them?
  • God says that Sodom gave themselves over to fornication and strange flesh.
  • So God set them forth for an example. They suffered the vengeance of eternal fire.

Also, in Genesis Chapter 19, we saw Lot and some of his family saved by God.

  • We saw that Lot’s wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt. Lot and his two daughters were left.
  • Lot is given wine by his two daughters and each one of them becomes pregnant by their own father.
  • The oldest daughter has a son who is the father of the Moabites.
  • The younger daughter has a son who is the father of the Ammonites.
  • These are wicked people, in general, who become enemies of the children of God.
  • But not 100% of them are evil and wicked as Ruth is a Moabite who was a saved woman.

I want to go over a few points from Genesis Chapter 19 that we should all remember.

  • God can deliver us and protect us from evil and wicked people just as He did for Lot.
  • Lot didn’t live a holy and perfect life as we saw in Genesis Chapter 19, but God still protected Lot.
  • You don’t have to compromise like Lot did and surrender your children to the sodomites.
  • Another point we should remember is that we are to judge everything. Lot called the sodomites wicked.
  • Lot made a good and righteous judgement. He was right. Homosexuals are wicked and evil.

Some people will say that Jesus Christ never preached against homos. Really? Maybe you should read the Bible.

  • So-called “Christians” won’t read the Bible. Jesus Christ is the Word of God. All of this comes from Jesus.
  • 2 Peter, Jude, Paul, Moses, Judges, 1 Kings, 2 Kings. What Moses wrote is what Jesus said to Moses.
  • Moses wrote that a homosexual shall be put to death. Who do you think gave Moses that law?
  • Jesus Christ gave Moses that law. Jesus also gives us many examples in His words that sodomites are evil.
  • Jesus did preach against homosexuals. He did it all through the Bible. WAKE UP AND ACTUALLY READ IT.

[3] 1 Kings 14:24 And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

  • This is what sodomites do. They continuously do abominable things, which the Lord God HATES.

[4] 1 Kings 15:11-12 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father. 12 And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

  • Taking the sodomites out of the land is RIGHT in the eyes of the Lord.
  • Don’t try to get around this Scripture false preachers who supposedly “LOVE EVERYONE.”

[5] 1 Kings 22:43 And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places were not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.

  • Jehoshaphat did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord. Do you know what he did too?
  • Let’s look just a few verses down from there.

[6] 1 Kings 22:46 And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land.

  • Jehoshaphat was a good king. One of the best things he did was take the sodomites out of the land.
  • What does it mean that he took them out of the land? They weren’t there anymore. They were gone.

[7] 2 Kings 23:7 And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove.

  • This is talking about King Josiah. He broke down the houses of the sodomites.
  • Was that the right thing to do? Or, should he have built them homes and invited more of them?
  • Let’s see what God thinks about what King Josiah did. Was he right?

[8] 2 Kings 23:25 And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.

  • So, yes, breaking down the houses of the sodomites was the right thing for Josiah to do.
  • He turned to the Lord with all his heart. He wasn’t deceived by the sodomites and homos.
  • I am not going to be deceived by this world. They are making laws that I can’t preach against homos.
  • I will preach against them because God tells me to. I will do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.
  • I am obeying the higher powers because there is no power higher than God.
  • The people who aren’t obeying God are not obeying the higher powers.

God Didn’t Try To Give The Sodomites The Gospel

What else did we learn from the last chapter? Here’s something important I hope you noticed.

  • God didn’t try to save the sodomites. He didn’t send Abraham over to them to preach the word of God.
  • He didn’t attempt to evangelize Sodom. He just destroyed them. They didn’t have a chance.
  • He gave them up and He gave them over. He destroyed them because He was finished with them.
  • With that, let’s get started in verse 1 of Genesis Chapter 20.

[9] Genesis 20:1 And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.

  • Abraham is now on the move again. Remember, he lived in a tent.
  • He just watched the cities of the plain being destroyed by God.

[10] Genesis 19:27-28 And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD: 28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

  • After this, Abraham journeyed South. He is now dwelling between Kadesh and Shur.
  • This is towards the wilderness in the South. Abraham is sojourning in Gerar.
  • He is living there temporarily and not permanently.

[11] Genesis 20:2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

  • Abraham is sojourning in Gerar with his wife Sarah. Again, Abraham says: “She is my sister.”
  • Back in Genesis Chapter 12, Abraham did the same thing to the Egyptians. Why would he do this again?
  • Notice that he does this in places where he believes they do not fear the Lord.
  • First in Egypt and now in Gerar. Abimelech king of Gerar sends and takes Sarah.

[12] Genesis 20:3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife.

  • God protects Abraham and Sarah here, and they probably don’t even know.
  • God protects you and I many times and we don’t even know. Trust in God because He’s looking out for us.
  • He does this for Abraham and Sarah. Notice exactly what God says to Abimelech.
  • He comes to Abimelech in a dream by night. God says, “BEHOLD, THOU ART BUT A DEAD MAN.”
  • God is warning Abimelech right here. Why does God say he is a but a dead man? Notice this.
  • “For the woman which thou hast taken; FOR SHE IS A MAN’S WIFE.”

Thou Art But A Dead Man When You Take Another Man’s Wife

As you can see, God takes this very seriously. You don’t take another man’s wife. “Thou art but a dead man.”

  • King David stole Uriah’s wife and then had him murdered.
  • Let’s see how serious God took this sin with David. Make sure you see this and remember this.

[13] 2 Samuel 12:9-10 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. 10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

[14] 2 Samuel 12:11-12 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun. 12 For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.

[15] 2 Samuel 12:13-14 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. 14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

  • What was David’s punishment for stealing Uriah’s wife and murdering him?
  • First. The sword shall NEVER depart from David’s house.
  • Second. God will raise up evil against David out of his own house.
  • Third. God will take David’s wives and give them to his neighbor and his neighbor shall lie with his wives in the sight of the sun and not in secret.
  • Fourth. The child that will be born to David will surely die.

God takes it very seriously when you give the enemies of the Lord something to blaspheme Him with.

  • Those are very serious punishments. God forgave David his sin but he still gets the punishments.
  • So, don’t steal another man’s wife. And women, do not steal another woman’s husband.
  • If you do, be ready for the wrath of God because it’s coming soon.

[16] Genesis 20:4 But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?

  • Abimelech had not come near Sarah at this time, but he still took her like she was his possession.
  • He says, “Lord, wilt thou also slay a righteous nation?” Abimelech continues in the next verse.

[17] Genesis 20:5 Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.

  • Abraham had told Abimelech that Sarah was his sister.
  • And Sarah told Abimelech that Abraham was her brother.
  • Abimelech tells God that he took Sarah in the integrity of his heart and innocency of his hands.

[18] Genesis 20:6 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.

  • God withheld Abimelech from sinning against Him. Remember, when you sin, you are sinning against God.
  • What if you did something wrong to the most powerful man in this world? You would probably be afraid.
  • Well, when you do something against the ALL POWERFUL and ALMIGHTY GOD, you should be afraid.
  • God stopped Abimelech from touching Sarah. God comes to Abimelech in this dream to stop him.
  • He hadn’t touched Sarah or came near her but God still told him: “Thou art but a dead man.”
  • He took Sarah for that reason. He thought about it.

[19] Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

  • Actually touching Sarah would have been a lot worse, though, than thinking it.
  • There are sins that are worse than others. Thinking about it is not as great a sin as actually acting on it.

[20] Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

[21] James 1:14-15 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

[22] 1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

  • Sarah was not Abimelech’s to take, but he wanted her. God suffered him not to touch her.
  • God didn’t allow him to sin greatly against the Lord. Did you know God can do this? If not, you do now.

God Can Put Hedges To Keep You From Going A Specific Direction

[23] Hosea 2:6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

  • God can and will do this so you go the right way. God did this for David earlier in 1 Samuel Chapter 25.

[24] 1 Samuel 25:32-33 And David said to Abigail, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which sent thee this day to meet me: 33 And blessed be thy advice, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand.

[25] 1 Samuel 25:34 For in very deed, as the LORD God of Israel liveth, which hath kept me back from hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and come to meet me, surely there had not been left unto Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.

  • The Lord God Almighty kept David from hurting Abigail. She ended up being David’s wife. God did that.
  • Men don’t just get to take whatever woman they want. Pharaoh did this and Abimelech did this.
  • Let’s keep going in Genesis Chapter 20 and see what happens next. We are at verse 7.
  • Remember, God is talking to Abimelech in a dream here.

[26] Genesis 20:7 Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

  • God tells Abimelech to give Sarah back to Abraham. FOR HE IS A PROPHET.
  • God tells Abimelech that Abraham will pray for him and he shall live.
  • If Abimelech doesn’t give Sarah back to Abraham, he will die and his entire family will die.
  • Now, does that tell you how much God will protect the people who love Him and trust Him? It should.
  • Make sure you see that. Even when Abraham deceived Abimelech, God still helped him.
  • Abraham wasn’t a perfect man. Sarah was his sister. Same dad but different mother.
  • But she was also his wife, and he should have told Abimelech that.

Some people think it’s okay to deceive someone even if they don’t tell a lie. It’s not okay.

  • “Well, I just won’t say anything even though I should. But at least I didn’t tell a lie.”
  • Yeah, but you didn’t tell the entire truth either. This is deception. And Abraham did this yet again.
  • And no, it’s not okay to do this. But God still protected Abraham and Sarah through all of this yet again.
  • When one of God’s people makes a mistake, we are on their side still. Just as God shows us here.
  • He did the same for Lot even when Lot was making mistakes. We don’t support evil ways.
  • We don’t accept or condone mistakes as if they are okay. We tell them when they are wrong.
  • But we stand by them through the mistakes and help them to do better.

Many people will simply leave and reject you when you tell them that they are doing something wrong.

  • If you try to help them in their ways, they reject you.
  • For example, when a lazy man is told that he needs to get to work, he doesn’t like it.
  • If someone deceives and lies to people constantly, they don’t like it when you call them out on it.
  • God’s people will take the rebuke and the reproving and do their best to get better.
  • King David did this in his mistake. The Apostle Paul did this. We take rebuke and get better.
  • We don’t get mad at the person who is pointing something out to us that we need to change.

[27] Genesis 20:8 Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.

  • God just told Abimelech, in a dream, that he should restore Sarah to Abraham.
  • Then, Abraham will pray for him and he will live. If not, Abimelech and all that are his will die.
  • Abimelech gets up early that morning and calls all of his servants. He tells them what God told him.
  • And the men were sore afraid. Wouldn’t you be afraid?
  • You would be very hopeful that Abraham gets up and prays for Abimelech.

[28] Genesis 20:9 Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.

  • Abimelech calls Abraham and wants to know why he deceived him. “What hast thou done unto us?”
  • “What have I offended thee? You’ve brought a great sin on me and my kingdom.”
  • You’ve done this thing that ought not to be done.

[29] Genesis 20:10-11 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing? 11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.

  • Abimelech wants to know what Abraham saw in them that he would do something like this.
  • Again, Abraham repeats what he did with Pharaoh. He was afraid they would kill him.
  • He takes a look at Abimelech and his kingdom and thinks there is no fear of God there.
  • Abraham thinks they will kill him so they can take his wife, Sarah.

[30] Genesis 12:17-20 And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram’s wife. 18 And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife? 19 Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way. 20 And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.

  • In Genesis Chapter 26, we see Abimelech again with Isaac, Abraham’s son. Watch what happens.

[31] Genesis 26:6-7 And Isaac dwelt in Gerar: 7 And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife; lest, said he, the men of the place should kill me for Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon.

[32] Genesis 26:8-9 And it came to pass, when he had been there a long time, that Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out at a window, and saw, and, behold, Isaac was sporting with Rebekah his wife. 9 And Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife: and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.

  • We see that Isaac is dwelling in Gerar. Abimelech is the king of the Philistines.
  • Isaac does the same thing as his father Abraham because he was scared they would kill him.
  • Again, this shows that Isaac was not a perfect man either.

[33] Genesis 26:10-11 And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us. 11 And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.

  • We see Abraham and Isaac both fearing man over God. They both deceive Abimelech.
  • They weren’t perfect men. But God still protected them because they were His children.
  • They had faith in God. They didn’t have perfect faith at all times as you can see here.
  • Abraham and Isaac did these things because they thought the other men did not fear God.

People Who Don’t Fear God Will Do Wicked Things But Do Not Fear Them

For example, you would think that I wouldn’t murder you because I fear God. I won’t do that to you.

  • But, if you see a drug dealer who sells drugs to children, you might be afraid they would murder you.
  • Obviously, they have no fear of God because they are selling drugs to children.
  • Abraham and Isaac feared those men because they thought there was no fear of God in them.
  • For example, you might fear a sodomite because they have no fear of God.
  • You might fear a transgender because they have no fear of God. But, this would be wrong.

[34] Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

  • We are not to fear men or women. Many men are scared to death of women. I’ve seen it myself.
  • We are not to be afraid of any HUMAN at all. Understand that. If so, this is sin.

[35] Isaiah 8:12-13 Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. 13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

  • Let God be your fear. NOTHING ELSE. NO ONE ELSE. You should be afraid of God.

[36] Isaiah 51:7-8 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings. 8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

  • FEAR YE NOT THE REPROACH OF MEN. NEITHER BE YE AFRAID OF THEIR REVILINGS.
  • Listen to these next Scriptures because these are amazing. I love these words. Listen closely.

[37] Isaiah 51:12-13 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; 13 And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?

  • No matter what, do not be afraid of man. FEAR GOD AND HIM ALONE. Understand that.

[38] Acts 21:13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

  • This is just like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. If it’s time to go, it’s time to go.
  • I AM READY TO DIE FOR JESUS CHRIST.
  • Men and women out there who hate God and have no fear of God?
  • I’m talking to you. We aren’t afraid of you. You should be very afraid.

[39] 1 Peter 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;

  • I’m happy when you talk trash about me. Your terror doesn’t scare me at all. You don’t trouble me.
  • I’m happy when your so-called “terror” comes. You haven’t seen terror. GOD IS YOUR TERROR.
  • You should see what God did for Abraham with Abimelech. Listen as we continue in Genesis Chapter 20.
  • Don’t test God. One day you will find out who He is whether you like it or not.

[40] Genesis 20:12 And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

  • Again, Abraham didn’t lie about Sarah being his sister.
  • They had the same father but not the same mother. Sarah became his wife.
  • He could have told them this, though. He didn’t. That’s deception due to the fear of man.
  • Do you want to be around people who don’t lie to you but deceive you? NO!!! That’s horrible too.
  • Sometimes it’s even worse than the straight out lie.

[41] Genesis 20:13 And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father’s house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.

  • Abraham asked Sarah to say that he is her brother. And Sarah did as Abraham asked.
  • He does this in Genesis Chapter 12.

[42] Genesis 12:13 Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.

  • Was the soul of Abraham going live because of Sarah? No. Again, Abraham was wrong.
  • His soul will only live because of the Lord God Almighty. You need to understand that too.
  • Your soul can only be saved by God. You need to ask Jesus Christ to save you as you believe on Him.

[43] Genesis 20:14-15 And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife. 15 And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.

  • Abimelech makes things right with Abraham here. He took his wife, and he restores her to Abraham.
  • He also gives Abraham many more things. Sheep, oxen, menservants, and womenservants.
  • Abimelech also tells Abraham that he can dwell wherever he wants in the land.
  • “Dwell where it pleaseth thee.” The Egyptians also gave Abraham many things because of Sarah.

[44] Genesis 20:16 And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.

  • We can see that Abimelech isn’t afraid to speak the truth here to Abraham or Sarah.
  • He didn’t appreciate the deception at all. It almost cost him his life.
  • When we lie or deceive others, we aren’t doing good. We might think it’s better, but it’s not.
  • We harm others in ways that we don’t know when we deceive them.
  • Abraham harmed Abimelech by doing this.

Abimelech Reproves Sarah For Her Deception

Abimelech now reproves Sarah for her deception as well. He says, “Behold, I have given THY BROTHER.”

  • Abimelech gives a thousand pieces of silver to Abraham as well.
  • The Abimelech says, “Behold, Abraham is to thee a covering of the eyes., unto all that are with thee.”
  • “And with all other.” He is saying that Abraham and Sarah are married. They are husband and wife.

[45] 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

[46] Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

  • Abraham is the covering for Sarah. If a woman is married, the husband is her covering.
  • Another man is NOT to look upon her or attempt to take her. Abimelech didn’t know she was his wife.
  • So he took her. For example, if Pam stands behind me, you can’t see her. I cover her. I am large.
  • Just kidding. That’s not what it means.
  • he husband is the covering for his wife because she is his and his alone.
  • Men shouldn’t be looking at her attempting to take her from me because she is mine.
  • Abimelech now understands that Sarah is not to be looked upon because she is Abraham’s possession.

[47] Genesis 20:17-18 So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children. 18 For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham’s wife.

  • Because Abimelech took Sarah, God had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech.
  • What does that mean? This means ALL OF THE WOMEN couldn’t have any children.
  • God healed Abimelech’s wife and his maidservants so they could bare children.
  • If these people didn’t have the fear of God, they should now.

Again, God protected and helped Abraham through all of these mistakes and errors that he made.

  • If God didn’t help us through our mistakes and errors, we would all be in big trouble.
  • God was also good to Abimelech by stopping him from an even greater sin and spared his life.
  • God showed Abimelech his power, and this should have put the fear of God into Abimelech.
  • Notice how God stays with Abraham and helps him through all of these mistakes that he makes.
  • God chooses Abraham’s side. Have faith and God will choose your side.

For example, my job continues to be threatened by our evil and wicked government leaders.

  • Are they wicked? Of course they are wicked. They have no trust in God, and they don’t fear God at all.
  • They have all of these hidden agendas in which they continuously deceive us and change the target.

They come up with a vaccine mandate because they first say that the vaccine stops the spread of the virus.

  • Now they say that the vaccine only eases the symptoms.
  • If that is the truth, then why are you still pushing the vaccines?
  • Then the vaccines don’t work any more. Now you need new booster shots.

Then there’s a new variant that is hyped up to be deadly but something like 1 person in the world has died from it.

  • Who knows the truth any more??? Lies are everywhere. But I can tell you something for sure.
  • We continue to trust in the Lord God Almighty, and He will take care of us.
  • We choose His side, and He takes care of us. Abraham chose God’s side. And God took care of him.

God Always Chooses His People

Can you think of other examples in the Bible where men and women went up against others and God chose to help His people even though they weren’t perfect people?

  • There are no perfect people but God continues to help us through tough times.
  • Abraham had many tough times and God helped him over and over and over again.

[48] 2 Kings 2:23-24 And he went up from thence unto Beth-el: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

  • Elisha chose God’s side, and God chose to do this for Elisha. God chose Elisha over the little children.
  • God chose Elisha over the 42 children that were torn by the two she bears.
  • Was God wrong to choose Elisha? NO. God always chooses right. How little were the children?
  • They were old enough to mock Elisha. 17 year olds are called “children” in the Bible.
  • The older men in Israel were called the children of Israel. It doesn’t matter. God chose Elisha.
  • God chose Abraham. God chose Daniel.

[49] Daniel 6:18-19 Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him. 19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.

[50] Daniel 6:20-21 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? 21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

[51] Daniel 6:22-23 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. 23 Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

  • God shut the mouths of the lions. Daniel showed great faith in God. He knew he would save him.

[52] Daniel 6:24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

  • God chose Daniel over all those evil and wicked men.
  • God will always choose you over evil and wicked men simply because you have faith in Him.

[53] Judges 16:28-29 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes. 29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.

[54] Judges 16:30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.

  • God chose Samson over all of those Philistines. Do you understand this?
  • Samson messed up over and over again. These Scriptures are at the end of Judges Chapter 16.
  • Let’s look at the beginning of Judges Chapter 16.

[55] Judges 16:1 Then went Samson to Gaza, and saw there an harlot, and went in unto her.

  • Samson wasn’t perfect. He had weaknesses. He sinned against God.
  • God doesn’t condone sin or EVER say that sin is okay. Not once does He say this.
  • But He does choose His people even when they make these mistakes and sin.
  • They have faith in God, and God chooses to help them. He also punishes them as they need it.
  • Samson needed it, and he lost his life. Even in the loss of his life, God helped him.
  • God answered his last prayer. Remember to always trust in God.

I know that God will choose us in the vaccine mandates. He will take care of us. He will save us.

  • He will do this when He’s ready to do it. We wait upon the Lord and trust Him in every way.
  • Things are changing for the worst in this world, but we continue to trust in the Lord.
  • Why? Because we know there is no one else we can trust but God. IN GOD WE TRUST.
  • He will come through just as He promises, and I know He will 100% without a doubt.
  • We go where He needs us. We do what He needs us to do. We follow His lead. He chooses us.

Let’s pray.
