[2] The title of the sermon: “FORNICATION – SEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE.”

  • Today, we’re going to talk about a topic that people need to understand.
  • Fornication, as defined by God Almighty and Jesus Christ, is a sexual relationship outside of marriage.
  • Biblical marriage is defined CLEARLY between a man and a woman.
  • Anything outside of that, no matter what the world says, is not marriage.

[3] Genesis 2:21-23 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

[4] Genesis 2:24-25 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

  • God made a woman out of a man. Adam came from God, and Eve came out of Adam.
  • Adam says, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh.”
  • “She shall be called WOMAN, because she was taken out of MAN.”
  • God created male and female. Male and female go together.
  • It’s very obvious when you know how it works.

[5] Matthew 19:4-6 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

  • The New Testament quotes the Old Testament, as expected.
  • Marriage has been the same from the beginning, and God hasn’t changed His mind.

[6] Mark 10:6-9 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

  • And there’s more. God repeats so many Scriptures about marriage.

[7] Ephesians 5:30-33 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

  • Marriage is a picture of other things far more important.
  • If you can’t get marriage right, you don’t have a chance to grow in your faith with Jesus Christ.
  • Leave your father and mother. Be joined unto your wife. The two of you shall be one flesh.
  • A man will then love his wife, cherish his wife, and nourish his wife.
  • He will feed her, take care of her, protect her, cherish her, and love her greatly.
  • This is God’s plan for a man and a woman, a husband and a wife.

A man, when he gets married, leaves his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife. Or, STICK to her.

  • According to God, a man and woman need to be married in order to have a sexual relationship.
  • When a man and woman come together sexually, they are one flesh.
  • “AND THEY SHALL BE ONE FLESH.” The man and his wife were not ashamed.
  • If you are having sexual relationships outside of Biblical marriage, you should be very ashamed.
  • But not if you’re doing things according to God’s word. There is no need to be ashamed.

YOU MUST BE MARRIED IN ORDER TO HAVE A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP.

  • If not, you are going directly against God’s words. If you don’t think so, then show me.
  • Show me some Scriptures in which God says it’s okay to have this relationship outside of marriage.
  • Show me somewhere where God says it’s okay. IT’S NOT AND NEVER WILL BE.
  • It doesn’t matter what the world says. They change the rules constantly to align with evil.
  • God doesn’t change His rules. Fornication is not okay with God. EVER.

A man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife. They should stick together.

  • They shall be one flesh. No one else should ever come between them to separate them.
  • God won’t separate them. He wants you together. He says so. These words you hear are His words.
  • If you think God is separating you as husband and wife, you would be very wrong. It’s not God.
  • A wife shouldn’t have a better friend than her husband.
  • A husband shouldn’t have a better friend than his wife.
  • You don’t need all of these other friends who come between you and your spouse.

God says that once you are married, you are one flesh. God has joined you together.

  • “What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”
  • Do you understand this? This isn’t a joke. This isn’t something small. These are God’s words.

There is no sexual relationship that God approves of EXCEPT the relationship between a husband and his wife.

  • If you aren’t married, God doesn’t approve of your sexual relationship outside of marriage.
  • Do you understand that? Will God get angry with you? OH YES HE WILL. How do I know this?
  • Because I know His words and I trust His words. Today, let’s see what He says about fornication.

We will look up Scriptures that have the following words:

  • 1) Fornication, 2) Fornications, 3) Fornicator, 4) Fornicators
  • We will find the following results when we search the Scriptures for these words:

[8]

  • You will see that there are 5 matches in the Old Testament and 35 in the New Testament.
  • Let’s look at the results in a chart format so we can see the books with the most verses.

[9]

  • We see the Book of Revelation has 10 of the 40 verses in the entire Bible.
  • 1 Corinthians is second place with 9 occurrences. Ezekiel, Matthew, and Acts tied with 3 each.
  • Again, 40 total verses in the Bible that speak of fornication. We’re going through many of these today.
  • Let’s start with the very first occurrence of this word in the Bible.
  • I want to go back several verses before the word fornication appears so bear with me.

[10] 2 Chronicles 21:1-2 Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead. 2 And he had brethren the sons of Jehoshaphat, Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.

[11] 2 Chronicles 21:3-4 And their father gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; because he was the firstborn. 4 Now when Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel.

  • So, this is Jehoshaphat’s firstborn son we are talking about here.
  • Jehoshaphat was a good king. He wasn’t perfect, but he did right in the eyes of the Lord.
  • Jehoram is an evil man. He slew all of his brethren. Imagine that. Killed all of his brothers. EVIL.

[12] 2 Chronicles 21:5-6 Jehoram was thirty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. 6 And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD.

[13] 2 Chronicles 21:7-8 Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever. 8 In his days the Edomites revolted from under the dominion of Judah, and made themselves a king.

[14] 2 Chronicles 21:9-10 Then Jehoram went forth with his princes, and all his chariots with him: and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him in, and the captains of the chariots. 10 So the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. The same time also did Libnah revolt from under his hand; because he had forsaken the LORD God of his fathers.

  • Again, you can see Jehoram is a very evil man. He forsook the Lord God of his fathers.
  • God holds things together for those who love Him and keep His commandments.
  • Jehoram’s kingdom was falling apart because God is no longer helping him.
  • Now, the very next verse is the first Scripture in the entire Bible that uses the word fornication.

[15] 2 Chronicles 21:11 Moreover he made high places in the mountains of Judah, and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, and compelled Judah thereto.

  • He caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication. He compelled the nation of Judah to do so.
  • So, what did they do exactly? Let’s keep reading.

[16] 2 Chronicles 21:12 And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,

[17] 2 Chronicles 21:13 But hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father’s house, which were better than thyself:

  • Now we see that Jehoram didn’t walk in the ways of the Lord. He walked in the ways of evil.
  • He made the Judah and Jerusalem to go a WHORING. This is fornication.
  • He also killed all of his brethren, which God says were better than him.
  • Jehoshaphat made a mistake by naming him king of Judah. God takes fornication very seriously.

[18] 2 Chronicles 21:14-16 Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods: 15 And thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day. 16 Moreover the LORD stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, that were near the Ethiopians:

  • Because of Jehoram’s fornication and whoredoms against the Lord NOW all the people pay for it.
  • A great plague is coming to them. Who? The people, the children, the wives, and all their goods.
  • Great sickness by disease of thy bowels. Thy bowels will fall out.
  • And that’s not all. The Philistines and the Arabians will attack you.

[19] 2 Chronicles 21:17-18 And they came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king’s house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons. 18 And after all this the LORD smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease.

[20] 2 Chronicles 21:19-20 And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers. 20 Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired. Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings.

  • Jehoram was an evil man because of his fornication and whoredoms against the Lord.
  • He led the rest of the people to commit fornication. See the penalties? NOT GOOD.
  • Remember, this is the first time the word fornication is seen in all the Bible.
  • There is spiritual fornication and physical fornication.
  • The physical fornication is a picture of spiritual fornication.
  • If one commits physical fornication, they will most likely commit spiritual fornication and vice versa.

Spiritual fornication is the worship of false gods and idols.

  • Jehoram, without a doubt, was committing this spiritual fornication.
  • He committed whoredom as the house of Ahab. He did not go after God. He went after false gods.
  • And he caused the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem to do the same thing.
  • And they all paid for it with plagues, sickness, and enemies coming upon them without protection.

[21] Ezekiel 16:15-16 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was. 16 And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

[22] Ezekiel 16:17-18 Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them, 18 And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.

  • Your spiritual worship belongs to God and God alone.
  • When you worship someone else, you commit spiritual fornication.
  • “And madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them.”
  • Catholics do this. People of this world do this constantly. They worship men and women.
  • And they worship the dumbest of them. For example, teenage girls worship Justin Bieber.
  • He is a fool. He has no clue what God says in the Bible and falls for all the deceptions in this world.

[23] Ezekiel 16:19-21 My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD. 20 Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter, 21 That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?

  • Is it a small matter that you commit whoredoms and fornication?
  • Is it a small matter that you aren’t married when you have a sexual relationship?
  • THIS IS WHOREDOM. Do you understand this? GOD SAYS SO. JESUS CHRIST SAYS SO.

Do you want your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to see you as a whore?

  • This goes for both men and women. Do you want to teach them fornication is okay?
  • God says the opposite. Do you want to teach them to go against God? Is this a small thing?

[24] Ezekiel 16:22-24 And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood. 23 And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD;) 24 That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street.

  • Take a look around this spiritually wicked area. There are false churches everywhere around here.
  • The “Disciples of Christ” right down the street are queer lovers. They love homosexuals.
  • They invite homosexuals into their false church. They invite lesbians. They are whores.
  • They do not love God. They do not follow Jesus Christ. They are deceivers and being deceived.
  • They are making their HIGH PLACES on every street. Take a look. The false churches are everywhere.

[25] Ezekiel 16:25-26 Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms. 26 Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.

  • The people in this world today are increasing and multiplying their WHOREDOMS.
  • And the people who fornicate physically are leading the way in these whoredoms.
  • The churches now teach that it’s okay to not be married. They have church leaders who are whores.
  • They have church leaders who are fornicators. And they multiply this to others.
  • WE WILL NOT STAND FOR IT HERE. Fornicators are not welcome here. God does not welcome them here.
  • What happens when fornication and whoredom is supported? Next verse in Ezekiel Chapter 16.

[26] Ezekiel 16:27-29 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way. 28 Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied. 29 Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.

  • Your food will be diminished. This is coming to this country. The entire world is acting as a whore.
  • The United States of America is probably the biggest whore there is in the entire world.
  • And the world is huge. Our country cannot be satisfied. Hunger is coming to America. Why?
  • Because America is a whore. America is a harlot. America is like a married woman who commits adultery.

[27] Ezekiel 16:30-32 How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman; 31 In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire; 32 But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!

  • This is sick, nasty, evil, and wicked stuff right here. Strangers should never be taken over your husband.
  • Spiritual fornication and actual physical fornication are very closely related.
  • God uses the physical to explain the spiritual. Fornication is between two strangers.
  • When you won’t marry someone, this is a stranger. “But I’ve known him for a long time.”
  • “But I’ve lived with her for a long time.” Doesn’t matter. You are still a whore.

Why won’t you marry the man or the woman? Then, according to God, they won’t be a stranger.

  • Do you know why? Because you are as a rebellious child who won’t do what God commands you to do.
  • He also commands you to worship Him and Him alone. He doesn’t allow you t do whatever you want.
  • You only love God when you follow His commandments. But you won’t so you hate God.
  • You’re afraid you might lose something such as money. For the love of money is the root of all evil.
  • And yes, fornication is evil and your love of money leads to fornication. You might lose some money.
  • But you’re losing God, and He’s far greater than money. Would you rather lose money or God?
  • If you even have to think about that, you have a huge problem. It’s time to stop being a whore.

God is not a stranger to you. He made you. He numbered the hairs on your head. He loved you. He created you.

  • You know Him. He is the Creator of all things. The air you breathe comes from Him.
  • The food you eat comes from Him. The water you drink comes from Him.
  • But yet, you would rather worship strange things. You won’t worship the One who made you.
  • You won’t be thankful to the one who gave you all things. THIS IS STRANGE, WEIRD, AND FOOLISH.

If you think God is okay with your physical and spiritual fornications, you would be very, very, very wrong.

  • You’re being corrupted more and more. You will be punished greatly.
  • If you are a saved Christian who has believed on Jesus Christ and committing fornication and still alive, are you sure you are saved?
  • God doesn’t put up with this trash from His people. You should check your salvation.
  • Have you really believed on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation?
  • Let’s continue going through Scriptures about fornication. We move to the New Testament.

[28] Matthew 5:31-32 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: 32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

  • A husband and wife are one. There is only one valid reason for divorce in the Bible.
  • Fornication is the only valid reason. You have to slow down and pay attention to the exact words.
  • Jesus uses the words fornication and adultery here in the same Scriptures.

“But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication.”

  • In other words, fornication is the only valid reason for divorce. What does this mean?
  • Why does it mean this? Let’s think about this. Fornication only occurs before marriage.
  • Adultery occurs after marriage. Fornication is the only valid reason for divorce.

We can use Joseph and Mary as the example of this to explain this.

  • Before Joseph and Mary were come together as husband and wife, Mary was found to be pregnant.
  • A woman gets pregnant through a sexual relationship with a man.
  • Joseph thought Mary had committed fornication with another man before they had their own sexual relationship.

So Joseph was going to put her away privily or privately. And he wouldn’t have been doing wrong.

  • Jesus says so in the Scriptures. A valid divorce can occur if one party committed fornication prior.
  • But, it doesn’t have to occur. The man or the woman may continue in marriage if they choose so.

[29] Matthew 1:18-19 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

[30] Matthew 1:20-21 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

  • Joseph didn’t divorce Mary because she had not committed fornication. The angel of the Lord told him.
  • If a woman commits fornication with someone else prior to marriage:
  • That woman was someone else’s before this man she is marrying. She became one with someone else.
  • This is not a good thing, and this must be very important because it’s the only valid reason for divorce.

There is no other reason. And, yes I know, in this world today, people will say that’s crazy.

  • “Well, what about this? Well, what about that? What about physical abuse? What about that?”
  • Hey, maybe you have a mental issue. GOD SAYS NO. “Saving for the cause of fornication.” That’s it.
  • Let’s say you don’t follow the laws of God because they just don’t fit you.
  • It doesn’t matter what you think. God’s rules are 100% in effect right now.

God says that you cause your actual wife to commit adultery when you divorce her for any other reason.

  • Adultery is not a valid cause for divorce. Any man that marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
  • She is still your wife in God’s eyes even though you think you divorced her.
  • It’s not valid unless it is fornication. That’s it. And God takes all of His laws very seriously.

[31] Matthew 15:18-20 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: 20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

  • Notice that adulteries and fornications are listed here as separate things.
  • They are listed here with some very evil and wicked things. Murders and blasphemies are listed here.
  • So, if you think fornication is okay because “everyone is doing it,” then you would be very, very wrong.
  • Maybe you think Jesus made a mistake in Matthew Chapter 5 when He told us fornication is the only valid cause of divorce.

[32] Matthew 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

  • He repeats the exact same thing once again because people just can’t get this through their head.
  • Do you have faith in the words of Jesus Christ or not? Most people will argue with this.
  • Most people will say that there must be some mistake here. There isn’t a mistake here.
  • If you divorce your husband or wife and marry another, except for the cause of fornication, you are committing adultery.

This world tells you that it’s okay to divorce your husband or wife for any reason including adultery.

  • When you do that, then you are committing adultery. Do you see how this works?
  • And these are very serious things, and they are a picture of spiritual fornication which is even worse.

[33] John 8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

  • Jesus is preaching to the Pharisees and letting them know how evil they happen to be.
  • They are of the devil. They say, “We be not born of fornication.”
  • Let’s say a man and woman fornicating have a child. This child is considered to be a bastard child.
  • You could say that the child doesn’t have a legitimate father because the woman wasn’t married.
  • This is what the Pharisees are saying here. They are saying that they have a legitimate father.

“We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.” But Jesus tells them they don’t.

  • Physically, a bastard can be saved and have a Father who is God.
  • A spiritual bastard, though, is in very big trouble because their father is not God.
  • This was the problem with the Pharisees. To become a child of God, you simply believe on Jesus Christ.
  • They wouldn’t so they do not have God as their Father. They are born of fornication.
  • They worship a false god. They do not believe the words that God speaks. They hated Jesus Christ.

You do not want to be born of fornication spiritually.

  • If you are a man and woman who are fornicating, why would you do this physically to your child?
  • Why would you want to teach them that it’s okay? It’s not. If you think it is, you are foolish.

[34] Acts 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

[35] Acts 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

  • Hey, the world tells you fornication is okay. GOD SAYS TO ABSTAIN FROM FORNICATION.
  • The churches will say that “Jesus taught love” and it’s okay to fornicate because it’s love.
  • It’s not love you fools who are teaching your corrupted trash. Love is following God’s commandments.
  • When you go against them, you are hating the other person. Fornicating with someone is hate.
  • God says over and over again to KEEP YOURSELVES FROM FORNICATION. Stay away from it.

Let’s say the man or woman you are with won’t get married. Then it’s time to leave.

  • Never have a sexual relationship with someone until you are married.
  • And also make sure you aren’t marrying someone who is married according to God.
  • If they have been divorced over anything other than fornication, then you commit adultery with them.

Let’s say that you continue telling someone that they need to get married because God hates fornication.

  • He does. GOD HATES FORNICATION IN THE HIGHEST DEGREE.
  • But they just won’t get married. They proclaim to love God but continue to commit fornication.
  • Do you trust them? Do they actually love God? They won’t do what He says.
  • Maybe you should warn them again because a characteristic of a reprobate is a fornicator.

[36] Romans 1:28-29 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

  • Reprobates or people rejected by God are filled with fornication. They won’t stop.
  • God gives all these warnings to them, but they won’t stop fornicating.
  • And yes, I am talking both physically and spiritually.
  • When an outside problem shows such as physical fornication, you have an inward problem too.
  • You have a faith problem. You have an issue with God, and you don’t want issues with God.

Children and young adults who are listening: “Don’t listen to this world. Listen to God.”

  • If you allow the world to convince you that fornication is okay, you will make God very angry.
  • And you don’t want to do that. Save yourself for marriage.
  • Do not give your body to anyone until you are married. If you do, this will be fornication.
  • And this is very evil and wicked. Please don’t do this. Fornication leads to death.
  • Let’s say you’ve been fornicating for years, and you haven’t been punished by God for this:

[37] Hebrews 12:7-8 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

  • Maybe you aren’t saved. If God doesn’t chasten you for all this fornication, you might not be saved.
  • Do you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ? If so, then act like it.
  • If you are doing evil and wicked things and not being punished, something is very wrong.
  • You better get your Bible out and seek God above all other things. DO IT NOW.

[38] 1 Corinthians 5:9-11 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

  • Now, we need to make sure we see this. Some people will call themselves Christians.
  • If any of these people call themselves Christians and are fornicators, we are not to eat with them.
  • If a person is not saved and is a fornicator, it’s time to help them get saved.
  • But the Christian who is actually saved and is a fornicator, this is very evil and wicked.
  • They are saved, but we will not eat with them until they stop their fornication.
  • If they are not saved, then it’s time to get them saved and show them what God says.

[39] 1 Corinthians 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

  • The body is not for fornication. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
  • You are a part of the Body of Christ. Your body is NOT for fornication. Worship God alone.
  • Sexually, your body is ONLY for your spouse in a Biblical marriage between a man and a woman.

[40] 1 Corinthians 6:14-16 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. 15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

[41] 1 Corinthians 6:17-20 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

  • These Scriptures are very clear. God explains all of this to you in His words.
  • You sin against your own body when you commit fornication. This will kill you.
  • Fornication is a work of the flesh. Fornication is unclean. It is a great sin against God.

[42] Ephesians 5:3-4 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

  • Again, fornication is filthiness according to God. When you commit these things, you are filthy to God.

[43] 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

  • How many times does God have to say these things? So-called “Christians” won’t listen to this.
  • Fornication is lust. It is not love. You won’t marry the one you do these things with? Why not?
  • Because it’s lust alone and lust is not love. You only want that because it makes YOU HAPPY.
  • Fornication is all about you. Marriage is all about your spouse because you show them love.
  • Fornication is selfish trash. You care more about other things than the person you fornicate with.

[44] Hebrews 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

  • So-called “preachers of God’s word” will say: “Esau wasn’t a fornicator. There is no proof of this.”
  • Well, guess what? I don’t need proof. The Bible says lest there by any fornicator, as Esau.
  • I know how commas work. Fornicators are profane people. God says so. You don’t want to go there.
  • Esau became a reprobate by his own choice. He was rejected by God and had no faith in God.
  • When you know God hates fornication, and you continue to do it, you have no faith in God.
  • You have no fear of God at all. Do you think fornication is something to play around with?

[45] Jude 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

  • They gave themselves over to fornication. Things get worse. Fornicators get worse.
  • These fornicators went after strange flesh. Men with men. Women with women.
  • And God gives you these fornicators as an example. They suffered the vengeance of eternal fire.
  • When you do evil through fornication, God will repay you with evil. These people got hell.
  • Here’s another example for you if everlasting hell isn’t scary enough for you.

[46] 1 Corinthians 10:6-8 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. 8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

  • These people in this example committed fornication and 23,000 died that day. They were children of Israel.

[47] Numbers 25:1-3 And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab. 2 And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods. 3 And Israel joined himself unto Baal-peor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.

[48] Numbers 25:4-5 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel. 5 And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baal-peor.

  • Join yourself to a strange man or woman and this is like joining yourself to a false god.
  • You will do both things because nothing is a big deal to you. “Do whatever makes you happy.”
  • Well, God will not be happy. You think you’ll be happy, but you won’t be happy.
  • God said, “Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the Lord against the sun.”
  • Moses directs the judges of Israel to slay them and hang them up. He did it. 23,000 people.
  • Imagine a Kentucky Basketball game at Rupp Arena with 23,000 people. That’s a lot of people.

I’m not going to go over all the Scriptures in Revelation with the word fornication but all of them are telling us the evil in fornication.

  • Abominations come from fornication. Filthiness comes from fornication.
  • It’s sick and it’s nasty. But the world teaches you that it’s good. You are deceived if you think it’s good.
  • You should be listening to God and His words and not the words of this world.

[49] Revelation 19:2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

  • Whores, harlots, and bastards all go with fornication. Don’t be a physical whore.
  • Don’t be a spiritual whore. God will not be happy with you. Worship God and Him alone.
  • Only have a sexual relationship with your husband or your wife. That’s it. NO ONE ELSE.

Let’s pray.
