Category: Faith & Fire
Welcome to FaithFuel Daily—a raw, real, and relevant devotional to ignite your walk with Christ. One verse. One fire. Every day.
Scripture of the Day
Matthew 11:6
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
When God Doesn’t Meet Your Expectations
John the Baptist, once bold in his faith, now sat in a cold prison cell, questioning everything. The man who called Jesus “the Lamb of God” now asked, “Are you really the one?”
Why? Because Jesus wasn’t doing what John expected.
Sometimes, God will offend your expectations—not to hurt your faith, but to prove it.
Offended by God’s Silence
Jesus didn’t rush to explain or rescue. Instead, He said, “Blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.”
God doesn’t always follow our script. He delays. He denies. He detours.
And in those moments, your faith is either revealed—or replaced by offense.
Faith That Trusts Without Answers
If your faith only stands when life makes sense, it’s not faith—it’s convenience.
Jesus doesn’t exist to meet our expectations. He exists to be trusted, even when He says “no” or stays silent.
Real faith says, “I still trust You—even if You don’t explain.”
Let Go of the Offense
Are you holding a grudge against God because He didn’t do what you hoped?
Today’s the day to trade your offense for trust.
Say it out loud: “Lord, I don’t need answers—I just need You.”
That’s where real fire begins.
This is FaithFuel Daily with Pastor Joshua Tapp from True Words Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. If it stirred your spirit, spread it. Come back tomorrow for more truth that burns.
