Southeast Christian Church is a spin off of the Church of Christ.
The Church of Christ is a false church.
Why would I say this, and why would I tell you that? “But they believe in Jesus.”
Yes, they might believe in Jesus but Judas Iscariot also believed in Jesus. He saw Jesus often. He believed Jesus was there. He could even touch Jesus.
Every Church Of Christ Has Taken The Word Of God And Changed It Into A Lie
The Church of Christ has taken the word of God and changed it into a lie. This includes Southeast Christian Church. “Well, we aren’t a Church of Christ.” Well, that’s where your beliefs are rooted.
How do I know they’ve taken the word of God and changed it into a lie?
I grew up in Shelby Christian Church, which happens to be another Church of Christ spin off.
Shelby Christian Church mimics Southeast Christian Church. Now that Southeast Christian Church is moving into Shelby Christian Churches area, I wonder what they think of each other now?
Give Them A Call And Ask Them What It Takes To Go To Heaven
All you have to do to prove they are a false church is give them a call and ask them how to be saved. But be careful, it depends on who you talk to because every staff member will most likely have a different way to heaven.
What are they going to tell you? Here are the usual steps to be saved for most “Church of Christ” false churches.
- You must hear the word of God.
- You must believe the word of God.
- You MUST repent of your sin. You MUST “turn away” from your sin.
- You MUST confess your faith.
- You MUST be baptized.
- You MUST remain faithful. You MUST remain obedient.
WOW, is all I can say. They teach a works based salvation. Yes, most of the things on their list are works that you must do. That makes their way to heaven a works based salvation.
The entire Bible from front to back teaches against a works based salvation. You can’t read the Bible, believe what it ways, understand what it says and believe the way to heaven includes works.
I’ve Already Been Through Those False Steps To Salvation
Once you’re saved and see the truth EVERYWHERE in the Bible, the steps to salvation above are so false that it makes you just stop and shake your head.
And yes, this is what I was taught for over 20 years at Shelby Christian Church.
I found out the truth by attempting to live perfectly. They told me I MUST stop sinning. I MUST be a good person. Or, I won’t GAIN salvation.
According to them, no one will ever make it to heaven. This includes the oh so righteous preachers who teach you must be good to get to heaven. In other words, they’re telling you that they are good because you MUST know that they are making it to haven.
They are on a much higher stair step than you. Yes, I’ve been taught that as well. They glory that they are better than you.
Don’t Take My Word For It
Call them up and ask them how to be saved. They put this on their website:
That one receives salvation by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, and confessing Christ, and that the Bible commands every believer in Christ to be baptized by immersion.
They say you must put faith in Christ, repent of sin, confess Christ, and be baptized to be saved. Is this called being saved by grace through faith???
What they say doesn’t even make any sense. You can’t be saved by grace alone (meaning you don’t work for salvation), but then you require works to be saved.
Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
This simply means the leadership at Southeast Christian Church doesn’t understand the grace of God. Baptism is a work. Repenting of sin is a work. You can’t be saved by grace and require works to be saved. That’s what they’re doing. It’s very easy to see.
Southeast Christian’s Plan Of Salvation Is Not From The Bible
The Bible doesn’t teach their way of salvation AT ALL!!! The Bible NEVER says you must repent of your sin to be saved. The Bible NEVER says that you MUST be baptized to be saved. Why? Because they are works!
The Bible clearly teaches that salvation is not of works. And yes, you can be sent to hell by believing what Southeast Christian Church is teaching.
Their way to salvation is one that doesn’t include putting all your faith on Jesus Christ alone. They’ve added works into God’s plan of salvation. And yes, believing works get you to heaven won’t get you to heaven!
There’s nothing more false than the Gospel that Southeast Christian Church teaches its members and visitors.
If their plan of salvation is not from God, then who made up their plan of salvation? A man-made religion. And who is behind that? Satan. So, if you continue to go and support Southeast Christian Church, who are you backing? Ask yourself that question.
Do They Clearly Teach What It Takes To Get To Heaven?
They probably never even teach you how to be saved. They’ll just preach watered down trash every Sunday and ask you how much you make a week so they can send you offering notices.
I don’t ever remember being taught how to be sure I’m going to heaven at Shelby Christian Church. Why? Because they teach you can never be sure just like Southeast Christian Church. And that’s sad because Jesus Christ teaches that you can be sure.
John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Did you know that Shelby Christian Church asked my wife (when she was 16 years old) for her weekly earnings that she earned from McDonald’s and sent her late notices for her tithing?
They are more worried about getting your offering than teaching people how to be saved. Just listen to some sermons, and you’ll see. It’s not hidden. “Give me your money!!!”
What The Bible Teaches Is Actually Very Simple
I’ll tell you what Jesus teaches in the Bible.
The Book of John is written for the purpose of getting people saved. The phrase “repent of your sins” in NEVER in the Book of John and doesn’t show up in the entire Bible ONCE. Not one time does that phrase show up.
Did you know that the word REPENT in any form is not found in the entire Gospel of John ANYWHERE!!! The purpose of the Book of John is to save people. That should tell you something.
The Bible teaches that turning from your wicked ways is a work. And that’s obvious BECAUSE you can’t TURN FROM YOUR SIN without walking in the SPIRIT.
Jonah 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
You can’t have the SPIRIT until you’re saved!!! Once you’re saved, it takes hard work to walk in the Spirit. Once saved, THEN you can go do good works.
You must read the Bible, study the Bible, go to Church, and make daily decisions against your own wants and desires. That’s work my friends. And we’ll never get that perfectly right because we are sinners in our flesh.
Repenting Of Sin Is A Work Because God Says So
The Bible itself teaches that turning from your sin is a work.
God HIMSELF calls turning from sin a WORK.
The Bible tells us that we aren’t saved by works. Repent does not automatically equal REPENT OF YOUR SIN. Repentance in the Bible to be saved is a change of mind which takes no work at all.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
We aren’t saved by works. Read Ephesians 2:8-9 again. “NOT OF WORKS.” If repenting of sin is a work and we’re not saved by works, do you think we need to repent of sin to be saved? No, that’s why Jesus Christ says what he does in John 3:15, John 3:16, John 3:18, John 3:36, John 5:24, John 6:47.
Jesus wasn’t lying in those verses, but Southeast Christian calls Jesus Christ a liar by adding works to salvation. Yes, that’s exactly what they are doing. “Hey Jesus, you’re a liar because your plan of salvation doesn’t match ours.”
Jesus says there’s one requirement to be saved: “Whosoever believeth on me hath everlasting life.” Baptism isn’t there. Repenting of sin isn’t there.
John The Baptist Didn’t Come Preaching “Repent Of Your Sin.”
John the Baptist didn’t come preaching “REPENT OF YOUR SIN.” What did John the Baptist come preaching? The Bible tells us directly.
He came preaching repentance. Not repent of your sin. Repentance for salvation does not equal repent of your sin!!!
Acts 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Read Acts 19:4 again to make sure you see what John the Baptist came preaching. He came preaching repentance which is a change of mind from unbelief to belief. “That they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”
You don’t have to repent of your sin to be saved. If you had to turn from all your sin to be saved, NO ONE would ever be saved.
The physical act of water baptism is a work. It takes physical work and action to accomplish. The physical act of baptism and you going under the water doesn’t save you.
Baptism Is A Picture Of The Death, Burial, and Resurrection Of Jesus Christ
The Bible NEVER once says that water baptism saves you. It’s a like figure. It’s a picture of salvation. Not once does the Bible say that the work of water baptism saves you.
If you think it does, you need to take a VERY CLOSE look at the Scripture.
So, what saves you?
John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
John 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
John 11:25-26 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
John 11:40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
John 12:36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
Is that enough from the Book of John to prove that BELIEVING ON JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY requirement to be saved? Is that not enough to prove Southeast Christian is a false church?
Get Away From The False Churches
If you think there’s any other requirement, you’re calling Jesus Christ a liar in the Gospel of John. Do you want to be associated with people who call Jesus Christ a liar?
Who are you going to choose? Man or God? “Oh, but all my friends are there. I get a free gym membership. I get free child care. I get a show every time I come to church. I get people flattering me on how I look each time I come to church. The people are just too nice.”
Okay, we’ll see how much all of those things do for you when you’re burning in hell one day. It’s time to change your mind about Jesus Christ and actually choose him over everything else.
Jesus NEVER says (the Bible NEVER says) that there’s another requirement to be saved but BELEIVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. That means to fully trust ON JESUS to save you. If you think you must be baptized, that’s not believing ON Jesus to save you. You’re adding something else into the equation.
The Book of John is very easy to understand. Ask a child to read John 6:47 and then ask that child what it takes to receive everlasting life. A child can understand it but Southeast Christian leaders can’t because they’ve chosen to listen to a man-made religion over JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF.
Believe ON Jesus And You Receive “THE GIFT” Of Eternal Life
Once you believe on Jesus Christ to save you, you receive the GIFT of eternal life.
That’s it. It’s done. Now that you’re saved, you can CHOOSE whether to obey God or not. No matter what, you’re HIS CHILD now and you’re not going to hell.
If you choose to not obey Him in this life, God will punish you in this life. He punished King Saul. He punished King David. He says that He will punish us because we are HIS CHILDREN once we believe on Jesus Christ.
I could give you hundreds upon hundreds of additional verses that say FAITH ALONE saves and believing on Jesus Christ saves you. But, I have a better idea. Get yourself a King James Bible and read it for yourself. Take what I’ve told you today and TEST IT when you read the Bible.
There Is No Other Requirement To Be Saved
Never once is there another requirement to be saved but believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 2:38 (repent and be baptized) is NOT what the Church of Christ makes it out to be. Southeast Christian teaches a false Gospel that will send you straight to hell. Understand that FACT right now. What they preach is FALSE!!!
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
“FOR the remission of sins.”
Be baptized “BECAUSE OF” the remission of sins. A definition of “FOR” is “BECAUSE OF.” You should be baptized because you’re received remission of sins by repenting or changing your mind and believing on Jesus to save you.
Should you be baptized after you’ve believed on the Lord Jesus Christ? Oh yes!!! It’s a commandment from God.
But that act or work is the first good work you can do once you’re saved. Baptism is a PICTURE OF SALVATION. It’s not actual salvation.
Yes, You Should Be Baptized AFTER You’re Saved
Baptism is YOU stating that you understand how to be saved. It’s you saying, “Hey God, I want to obey you now and do what you tell me to do.”
Why would you get baptized? BECAUSE YOU’VE RECEIVED THE REMISSION OF SINS!!! Because you’re saved!!!
Repent = change your mind and believe. Then be baptized because you’ve received the remission of sins. Once you believe, you receive the INDWELLING of the Holy Ghost.
The order of receiving the Holy Ghost is different in the Book of Acts because it’s am outward showing of the Holy Ghost. There’s the indwelling of the Holy Ghost, and then there’s the Holy Ghost coming UPON you. Read the Book of Acts.
One time they receive the Holy Ghost after they are baptized. Other times they have received it before they are baptized. Yet, false churches change the word of God.
Acts 2:38 Doesn’t Teach You Must Be Baptized To Be Forgiven Of Your Sins
If you’re going to use Acts 2:38 to say that you MUST be baptized, then why does Acts 2:21 say this?
Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
It doesn’t say whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord and be baptized.
What does call upon the name of the Lord mean?
Romans 10:13-14 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
You can’t call upon the name of the Lord without first believing.
Once you believe on Jesus, you’re saved. Then you can call upon Him and I guarantee you that you’re saved BEFORE you’re baptized.
I hope you see this today. I could go on for days, weeks, and months showing you the truth within the Bible.
Don’t Allow A False Church And False Religion To Send You To Hell
Southeast Christian Church is a false church sending people to hell. Wake up and see the truth in the Bible.
Romans 3:26-28 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
The entire Bible preaches against adding works to SALVATION.
Cain’s offering was rejected because he wanted to do it his own way through his works. Abel’s was accepted because he brought his offering by faith. He understood that he was saved through faith alone.
Don’t let any FALSE CHURCH take you to hell. Please, wake up and see the truth.
Jesus is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. You won’t make it if you think it’s your goodness that gets you there like the Church of Christ thinks.
Put All Your Trust On Jesus Christ and NOTHING ELSE (He is enough!)
Put 100% of your faith ON JESUS CHRIST and not on yourself. Let all the other stuff go. Let the FALSE RELIGION go. See the truth in the words from the mouth of Jesus Christ.
The thief on the cross was saved as soon as he believed. There was no other requirement and there was no DISPENSATION. All people are SAVED the same way.
King Saul killed himself and went to heaven. The Book of 1 Samuel clearly states that King Saul went to heaven.
The Bible clearly states that King Saul was punished by God for his sin. He disobeyed God directly. But Saul was saved already because he had already believed on God to save him.
But then he chose the wrong path. He chose to go up against God by not following His commandments. He was punished by God and killed himself. He lost his life on this earth. But he’s in heaven right now.
This is all because King Saul was saved.
You Can’t Be Saved Through A False Gospel
Southeast Christian Church doesn’t teach you anything correctly from the Bible because they can’t understand the Bible.
Why is that? Because they aren’t saved through a FALSE GOSPEL. You aren’t saved through a false Gospel. It takes the right one!
2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
Paul says, “Hey, we told you the truth. They aren’t telling you the truth. They’ve made up ANOTHER JESUS. They have ANOTHER GOSPEL.” Paul is saying you might as well just choose them then. Go with them. Go the false way!!!
Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
And I say today, Southeast Christian: “LET YOU BE ACCURSED.” You are a false church with false preachers.
But look, it might not be too late. You need to TURN FROM YOUR WICKED WAYS!!!
You Teach Repent Of Your Sin And You Need To Do That Right Now As A False Church
You need to FINALLY understand how to be saved. Start teaching people the TRUTH. I would be so happy if all of Southeast Christian would believe on Jesus Christ to save them.
100% of your trust and confidence MUST be on Jesus alone. It has nothing to do with YOU AND YOUR GOOD WORKS. Why? Because you aren’t good.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
The Bible tells us that there are NONE GOOD but God. I’m not writing this to tell you that I’m better than you BECAUSE I’m not.
I’m not a good person, but I’ve been saved by the blood of Jesus Christ ALONE. I’ve sinned over and over throughout my life, but I know Jesus Christ is enough to save me. I don’t need to do anything else but believe on Jesus Christ to be saved.
You need to realize this today and WAKE UP!!! Please. I am begging you as I sure don’t want to see you looking up from hell one day with torment in your eyes.
Read this: How to Be Saved According to God (not according to false preacher Kyle Idleman) and be SAVED TODAY!!! Please. Then your eyes will be opened, and you will see the truth.
Update: Here’s a good article about Kyle Idleman’s false teaching: Southeast Christian Church Lordship Salvation
