[2] The title of the sermon: “THE PROCESS OF SANCTIFICATION.”
- Today, we’re going to look closely at sanctification using the Bible.
- Many so-called “Christians” will say that we must go through the process of sanctification to be saved.
- The Southern Baptists teach this with many other so-called “Christian” denominations.
- The Souther Baptists ask, “When does sanctification begin and when does it end?”
The Southern Baptists say this: “Salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification.”
- They say that you must go through the “THE PROCESS OF SANCTIFICATION” to be saved eventually.
- They are the ones that clearly call sanctification a process, and they even call it a life long process.
- And there are many others, not just the Southern Baptists, that teach and preach the same thing.
I was told this recently: “Sanctification is the process of becoming more like Christ by purifying our hearts and minds through repentance, prayer, and spiritual practices.”
- Okay, with that said, can I please get some Scripture on that? ON ANY OF THIS?
- Does God teach that sanctification is a life long process that includes our good works?
- Repenting of sin is a work clearly defined as a work in the Bible.
- Prayer is a work. Spiritual practices are works. And they say we must go through this process to be saved.
Is this the truth? We’ll search the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation and find all the Scriptures.
- Not just some of them. ALL OF THEM. For this sermon, I studied the entire Bible on sanctification.
- We’re going to learn exactly what sanctification means according to God and His words.
- I searched the Scriptures for all the verses within the entire Bible for the following words:
- Sanctification, sanctified, sanctifieth, sanctify. Those are all the words directly related to sanctification.
- What do we find? We find 141 matches for these words within 125 verses.
[3]
- As you can see, those add up to 141 matches for these exact words.
- The exact word “sanctification” is found 5 times.
- Let’s see where all of these words show up within the King James Bible.
[4]
- We see the Old Testament has 97 matches and the New Testament has 28 matches.
- This totals 125 matching verses and 141 total occurences of these words.
- This means the words are in some verses more than once.
- I cannot go through all of these Scriptures for this sermon, but I went through all of them personally.
- You can do the same. I put all of these Scriptures on the website in the pdf for this sermon.
But, let’s focus on the exact word “SANCTIFICATION” to begin.
- This exact word is only found in the New Testament 5 times. Let’s look at them.
- As we’re looking at these Scriptures, please notice if God ever says sanctification is a process.
- Does God say that it takes a lifetime to be saved? Does He say that sanctification is a long process?
- Here’s the first time the word sanctification is used in the entire Bible:
[5] 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
- Jesus Christ is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.
- We are IN Christ Jesus. Who is in Christ Jesus? Already saved people who are sanctified by Jesus Christ.
- When Jesus Christ says you are saved, you’re sanctified. We only glory IN the Lord.
We don’t glory about how we’re making ourselves better through our own good works.
- These people say that they don’t, but keep talking to them. They do. You can see what they preach.
- We don’t act as if we’re not yet saved and call Jesus Christ a liar. This isn’t glorying in the Lord.
- Let’s go back to the beginning of this chapter and see what we find.
- We’ll learn more about being sanctified. Keep in mind that we are in 1 Corinthians Chapter 1.
- Don’t forget that. Do you remember what happens later in 1 Corinthians? Fornication.
- So, watch what this says at the very beginning of the Book of 1 Corinthians.
[6] 1 Corinthians 1:1-3 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Verse 2 says, “Unto the church of God which is at Corinth.”
- “To them that are SANCTIFIED in Christ Jesus, called to be saints.”
- “With all that in EVERY PLACE call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours.”
Make sure you see that Scripture. With that Scripture, you can NEVER argue that sanctification is a process.
- Why is that so? Because these people are the actual church of God filled with saints.
- What does that mean? Saints are sanctified by Jesus Christ. It’s already done. They were sanctified.
- At the Corinthian church, God says: “To them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus.”
- He nevers says once that we are being sanctified like it is a process AFTER we believe on Jesus Christ.
- There is no process of sanctification that takes a long time to occur.
And it’s not just the Corinthian church, He says: “With all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ.”
- That includes us. We call ONLY upon Him for salvation because we believe IN Him alone for salvation.
- Some people can’t understand that calling upon HIM means ONLY calling upon Him.
- He doesn’t need your help. If you have to help Him save you, then you aren’t calling upon Him alone.
- He won’t hear you unless you believe in Him alone. This is “BELIEVING IN” Him.
Since we call upon Jesus for salvation, this Scripture is clearly saying we are sanctified.
- We are sanctified, saints, or saved. Sanctified means saved. Sancitifed means to be made holy.
- We aren’t holy. GOD MAKES US HOLY. Our own choices and decisions that we make daily are not holy.
- Do you know of anyone that is perfect in their flesh? Do you know of anyone who is holy in their flesh?
- I don’t. They don’t exist according to the Bible. And God is right.
So, I want you to think about what the false doctrine of the process of sanctification is actually teaching.
- They will say that you must go through the process of sanctification for the rest of your life to be saved.
- Or, you will go through the process of sanctification and you will become more like Jesus Christ.
- They will say that it is a process in which you become holier and holier over the rest of your life.
- Is this the truth? Let me explain to you how blasphemous this process of sanctification happens to be.
We know how we’re saved. The Bible clearly explains to us how we’re saved over and over again.
- What MUST I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
- When we were saved, we know that 1) we heard the word of truth, 2) we believed the truth, and 3) we were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise.
- Ephesians Chapter 1 clearly explains this to us. This is how we were saved.
- And this is the word of God that cannot be changed or altered by anyone.
[7] Ephesians 1:12-14 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
- WE WERE SEALED WITH THAT HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE. God made us a promise. He fullfills His promises.
- There’s nothing about us being sanctified over the remainder of our life in order to actually be saved.
- We’re already saved or sanctified once we trust in Jesus Christ.
- Trusting in Him is not equal to beliving in a process of sanctification in which we will do good works.
So, if God says that we’re sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise until the redemtion of the purchased possession, that’s what He means.
- When we believe what He says, this glorifies God in every way.
- A process of sanctification in which we do good works and become more holy doesn’t glorify God.
- This glorifes us. But not really because nobody actually becomes holy at any point in their life.
- Why? Because they have this flesh. Our flesh is never made perfect UNTIL the day of redemption.
- We get a new body at the rapture, which occurs on the Day of the Lord.
[8] Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
- We are sealed already. We believe in Jesus Christ. SEALED, SIGNED, DELIVERED, SANCTIFIED already.
- The day of redemption is when we all get a new body that is actually holy.
- We cannot be holy until we no longer have this flesh.
- Now, when you believe on Jesus Christ, finally, your soul will be made perfect.
- Not your flesh. So, what is perfect within the saved or sanctified at this time?
What is holy within you already? YOUR SOUL. You have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
- When you are saved, in a moment, your soul is made perfect. Let me be clear.
- YOUR SOUL IS ALREADY 100% PERFECT. Your soul has been forgiven of all sin.
- The Holy Spirit seals your soul and ensures your soul never sins once again.
- But your flesh is not sealed. Your flesh can’t be holy. It’s already corrupted.
[9] 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
- The Bible says that GOD HAS SEALED US. He has GIVEN to us the Holy Spirit. HE IS PERFECT AND HOLY.
- We are not. But He has made our soul perfect and now protecting our soul from sin FOREVER.
- This is why God calls salvation everlasting life. This is why Jesus says you must be BORN AGAIN.
- Salvation occurs at the moment you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
So, now, let me explain why the false doctrine of sanctification over a lifetime is blasphemous.
- These people will teach that you must continue to follow Jesus the rest of your life.
- They will teach that you must do what He says to be sanctified FINALLY.
- Do they ALWAYS do this, though? OF COURSE THEY DON’T. No one does.
- I teach, according to the Bible, that you are already sanctified once you believe in Jesus Christ.
- It’s done. It’s over. You have the full assurance that God has already sanctified you.
Think about this. God already perfected your soul. But these people think more good works will make you perfect.
- This is what they are saying. If you’re saved, you have the perfect Holy Spirit dwelling within you.
- But they say that YOU MUST DO GOOD WORKS to be sanctified.
- They are teaching that your good works will make you more holy. But, I already have the Holy Spirit.
- Are you telling me that my soul has not been made perfect even though I have the Holy Spirit?
- Are you saying that I must keep working to gain eternal life?
- I must keep working to make myself holier than the Holy Spirit? Is this what they mean?
Yes, that’s exactly what they are teaching. Did they even think about before they blab this stuff?
- God tells me that I am saved. I have everlasting life. I am sealed with the Holy Spirit already.
- But they teach I am still not yet good enough. My flesh will never be good enough.
- My works will never be good enough. I can’t do enough to be sanctified and to be made holy.
- My works will never do this. The people who teach this trash are just like the foolish Galatians.
[10] Galatians 3:1-4 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
- Again, how could my soul be made holier than it already is with the Holy Spirit there?
- I am not HOLY, but the Holy Spirit is HOLY. That’s why He is called the Holy Spirit.
- We can only be called holy because He dwells within us. IT IS NOT US. He protects our soul
- So, when I do good works for God, I know that I am not making myself more holy.
- I only do good works through the Holy Spirit.
If you know this Scripture in Galatians Chapter 3 very well, you’ll see this clearly.
- Did we receive the Holy Spirit by doing the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith.
- Remember, we heard the word of truth, we believed in Jesus Christ, and we were saved.
- We didn’t do any works for salvation because salvation is not of works.
Are these others so foolish to believe that they began in the Spirit and are now made perfect by the flesh?
- This Scripture is exactly what I am attempting to teach.
- When you have the Holy Spirit, how much holier will your works make you?
- You can’t be holier than the Holy Spirit. Your flesh can’t make you holier.
- Your works cannot make you holy. How in the world can these so-called “Christians” teach what they do?
- If you were saved and given the Holy Spirit, you can’t get any more holier than that.
- This is why this so-called lifelong process of sanctification is 100% foolish and not taught in the Bible.
What is this process of sanctification actually? It is a fairy tale dreamed up in the corrupted mind of men.
- It is nothing more than that. The people who teach these things are deceived.
- They won’t listen to the Scriptures. They don’t even understand what they are saying.
- They are very confused.
- You don’t “BELIEVE IN” Jesus Christ if you must go through a life long process of sanctification.
- But they these so-called “GREAT MEN OF GOD” who are further sanctified than you are.
- That’s what they think.
So, when we do good works, we already know they don’t sanctify us in any way, shape, or form.
- Why do we good works? We do them because we love Jesus Christ.
- We aren’t doing them so we can be saved. He’s already saved us. He died for us.
- We owe Him our life DOUBLE and more. We owe Him everything.
- We can at least try our best to walk in the Spirit and do good works for Him.
- Not for us. Not for ourselves to help us become more holy. We do it for Him.
- And when we do it for Him, we do it for others.
But, these others are doing good works because they believe it leads to further sanctification.
- They believe they are living a holy life, but their entire life each day proves they aren’t holy.
- They ignore God’s words. They make themselves out to be God. They won’t listen to God’s words.
[11] Hebrews 10:12-14 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
- By the offering of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, He hath perfected FOR EVER them that are sanctified.
- These other people don’t believe that we have already been made perfect. It’s a promise.
- God fulfills His promises. My soul, right now, is perfected. My flesh is not because my flesh will die.
- BUT, one day, I will get a new glorified body just like Jesus Christ. THEN, we become like Him.
- The Bible teaches this. But these other people think they are perfecting their own flesh.
They think that anyone who is saved will go through this life long process of sanctification and be made more holy.
- Think about that one. If your soul has already been made HOLY, how do you become more HOLY?
- So, a soul cannot be made more perfect and once it has already been made perfect and holy.
- But, my body can obviously be made more holy. But that happens later. And God does it for us.
- In a moment, in a twinkling of any eye, the DEAD shall be raised incurriptible. WE SHALL BE CHANGED.
- We aren’t perfecting our flesh in this so-called process of sanctification. Our flesh is corrupted.
[12] 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
- So, what are these people talking about? What are they making more holy through their own works?
- They think they are slowly becoming holy through this fairy tale process of sanctification.
- None of what they teach lines up with the Bible. I hope you can clearly see this.
- God changes our dead flesh at the day of redemption, which the day the rapture takes place.
- This Scripture is clearly talking about the rapture. This is when our flesh is now HOLY.
We don’t slowly change this body of flesh into holiness. We can’t. Do we improve our flesh?
- God will give us a new body that is incorruptible. We don’t do this through good works.
- It’s the gift of God. And it’s a free gift that we don’t work for. I don’t work to be sanctified.
- When I receive everlasting life, a promise from God is that He will give me a new body one day.
- And that body will not sin. That body cannot be killed because it is a sinless body.
But, right now, NO ONE like us has a holy body. They don’t live a holy life EVER.
- They think they do. They are fools. Their own choices prove they aren’t holy. Their beliefs prove this.
- They directly go against the word of God. Obviously, they can’t be holy. Jesus is holy.
- He doesn’t go against His Father who is holy. He doesn’t go against the Holy Spirit who is holy.
- God is HOLY, HOLY, HOLY. The Father, the Son, the Spirit. ALL HOLY. ALL PERFECT.
- All of us. Not even close. There is no close to perfect. Only God is perfect.
[13] Romans 7:18-19 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
- All of these people who believe this false doctrine are not better than the Apostle Paul.
- Many of them act as if they are. They say things like this, “Well, I’ll pray for you.”
- They say this because they think they are righteous and holy. And obviously, I am not.
But they really think they are. They say, “God is trying to teach you something.”
- But what they say goes against His words directly. But they are too foolish to even see this.
- Because they’ve been taught that they are holy. If you go against God’s words, you aren’t holy.
- You are walking in the flesh and not in the Spirit of God.
Paul says that in my flesh dwelleth no good thing. But yet, these other people try to use their flesh to be holy.
- If you’re already sanctified, your flesh can’t improve your status of sanctification.
- Jesus Christ is sanctification. You aren’t. Get over yourself. These people are very arrogant.
- But they will call me arrogant. But God knows. I don’t preach that I can sanctify myself.
- But they do. Now, who is the arrogant one? Let’s look at the next verse with the word sanctification.
[14] 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
- EVEN YOUR SANCTIFICATION. You are already in sanctification. You are already sanctified.
- Notice that verse 3 says, “that ye SHOULD abstan from fornication.”
- Verse 4 says that you SHOULD know how to possess your vessel in sanctification.
The Bible never says you will now be perfect in this flesh.
- The Bible never says your flesh is completely healed. The Bible never says you will perfectly follow Him.
- You SHOULD do good. You should abstain from fornication. Why would the Bible say this?
- Clearly this is talking to people who are sanctified or saved. “We beseech you BRETHREN.”
- This is how you OUGHT TO walk to please God so you abound more and more.
- But, did saved people, including the saved Corinthians, commit fornication? Yes, there’s examples.
- The Old and New Testament has examples. Did you not read?
But these same people will act as if they now live a holy life of pure perfection.
- They actually think they are perfect even though they still have their flesh.
- Paul tells you that you aren’t perfect. No good thing dwells within your flesh.
- And if you are listening right now in your flesh, you still have your flesh.
- So, in that Scripture there, we see 2 occurrences of the word sanctification. Let’s go to the next.
[15] 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- This Scripture matches with what we’ve been teaching today.
- “God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit.”
- “And belief of the truth.” You are only sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
- Why? When you are saved, you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. He dwells within you.
The Bible never says you are sanctified by this life long process of sanctification through your good works.
- It’s not there. It’s not even close to being in the Bible. But yet, people still believe it.
- It makes sense to them. But just because something makes sense it doesn’t mean it’s the truth.
- A pre-tribulation rapture must make sense to a lot of people but it’s not the truth.
- The word of God clearly and plainly reveals the truth. You have to listen to His actual words.
- Here’s the last Holy Scripture in the Bible that uses the word sanctification.
[16] 1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
- The Holy Spirit sanctifies us, and He does so in a moment. We must be born and born again.
- We must be born of the flesh and then born of the Spirit.
- Being born and born again happens in a moment.
- We can only obey God by walking in the Spirit. He tells us to walk in the Spirit.
- THEN, we can be obedient to God. But, will we always choose to walk in the Spirit and obey God?
No, we won’t. This is when we sin in our flesh. This is why He commands us to CHOOSE to walk in the Spirit.
- He says, “We SHOULD do this, and we SHOULD do that.” He hates when we sin. He will punish us.
- He punishes those who He loves, and He says: “If the chastening stops, you should be worried.”
- That means we must sin. If we didn’t sin, He wouldn’t need to chasten us.
- If we were holy, we wouldn’t sin. We wouldn’t need chastening.
- Watch what the very next verses say here and tell me if this matches the lifelong process of sanctification.
[17] 1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
- We already have an inheritance in heaven that will not fade away. It is reserved in heaven for us already.
- We are already KEPT BY THE POWER OF GOD. We are sanctified already.
- Our flesh isn’t going to get any better. That’s why our flesh is dying. We get closer to death each day.
- But thank God He has already sanctified our souls. I have no worries in that. It’s done.
- I trust what God says. The people who believe in a process of sanctification do not trust what God says.
- I am going to continue with some Scriptures that continue to teach us the same things.
[18] Matthew 23:15-17 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. 16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! 17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
- Make sure you see what’s happening here. The religious people thought they were saving themselves.
- This is what the process of sanctification that they teach is doing for them.
- They are including themselves in being saved. They must go through their process.
- There is no long process of sanctification. God does it for you in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.
“YE FOOLS AND BLIND.” They can’t see. “For whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold.”
- Jesus is the temple. He sanctifies the gold. He is the sanctifier of everyone who has been saved.
- The people who are saved know this for sure. Jesus is the Savior of the world.
When we make ourselves a part of that through works of our own, He is not Savior.
- We’ve tried to make ourselves a part of it. AND WE AREN’T A PART. He did all the work for salvation.
- He sanctifies anyone who believes on Him. He sanctifies anyone who trusts in Him.
- If not, you are a debtor. “But whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temp, he is a debtor.”
[19] Matthew 23:19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
- You can keep giving all your so-called “gifts” of greatness and good works to God.
- But He won’t sanctify you through your works, FOOLS. You think you’re giving good things to Him.
- But you won’t even trust in Him. He will say, “I NEVER KNEW YOU.” Change your minds now.
Give up your life long process of sanctification and actually trust in Jesus Christ.
- Then, you will please God, and then, you will be able to do good works in faith for Him.
- Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Work for salvation is not faith.
- And working for salvation will lead to hell. You will not be saved.
[20] Hebrews 2:11-12 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, 12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
- If you are sanctified, you were ONLY sanctified by He who sanctifieth. AND YOU ARE ONE WITH HIM.
- And He is holy. You, again, are not. It’s obvious. We mess up constantly. There is none good. NONE.
- Not at any point within your flesh are you good, as a whole. Not even once. Not even a moment.
- Believing in Jesus Christ is the only thing that gives you any righteousness at all.
- And it’s HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. He calls us brethren because He has saved us from our sins.
- He has perfected our souls. And He will perfect our flesh. BUT NOT YET.
But I don’t need my flesh to be perfect to go to heaven. GOD SAYS SO. My body dies. My soul goes to heaven.
- My body will rise again and be made perfect by God. Not by me. I have no clue how to do that.
- I prove to myself each and every that my flesh is not perfected at this time.
- I hope you see who does the sanctification throughout the Bible. It’s only God.
- You can read all the Scriptures, and you’ll find that God is the sanctifier.
[21] John 17:17-19 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
- We can only be sanctified through the way, the truth, and the life. JESUS CHRIST.
[22] Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
[23] 1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
[24] Hebrews 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
- Jesus sanctifies. WE DO NOT. You cannot sanctify yourself. Understand that.
- God will preserve our spirit, soul, and body until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- He even keeps our body until Jesus comes back at His second coming and raptures us.
- He gives us a new body. He keeps this body ready for us. We sure don’t. Our body dies.
Only God could keep it for us. He gave it to us. Did you do something to get your body?
- Did you go pick it out at the store? No, He gave it to you. He keeps everything for us.
- But yet, these fools think they can work to be sanctified over their lifetime.
- They think they are holy and becoming even more holy. They are deceived.
- There are many more verses throughout the Bible with the words related to sanctification.
- You should study them even more and especially if you don’t believe me today.
- Search the Scriptures and show me where I am wrong. You won’t find them.
[25] John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
- Believe in Jesus Christ and you HAVE everlasting life in a moment. Jesus doesn’t teach anything different.
- The entire Bible doesn’t teach anything different. COVER TO COVER.
- If you don’t believe me, read it cover to cover over and over again. You won’t find anything different.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is as simple as that right there.
- If you believe on Him, you will live forever. If you don’t, you will be dead forever.
- People who believe in this long process of sanctification do not belive in Jesus Christ.
- Instead, they believe in all of their man made doctrine just like the Pharisees. STOP NOW.
- And just believe what Jesus says. It’s right there. There are no if’s, and’s, or but’s to this at all.
- Sanctification is simply believing on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
Let’s pray.
