[2] The title of the sermon: “CAN CHRISTIANS BE POSSESSED BY DEVILS?”
If You Are Possessed by Devils, You Are Not Saved
- We’ve had people attend here tell me that they are saved but are possessed by devils.
- They said they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. They said they are saved by Jesus Christ.
- I told them it’s not possible for a Christian to be possessed by a devil.
- I gave a sermon with a complete Bible study on devils. WE LIVE BY THE WORD OF GOD HERE.
- The title of that sermon is “A Bible Study on Devils.” They didn’t like it. But I don’t care what they like.
I want to be very clear. I don’t care about your story or your tales. You will not deceive me with your lies.
- When your stories don’t match with the Bible, I will trust in the word of God.
- FALSE PREACHERS, and they are all over the Internet, will say things like this:
- “If your experience doesn’t match with the Bible, then your understanding of the Bible must be wrong.”
- WRONG. The Bible is ROCK-SOLID and gives us the truth alone.
They attempted to teach me that a saved woman can be possessed by a devil. And she is the example for that.
- They told me that the wife was saved and then possessed by a devil. She was crawling on the floor.
- She was bending backwards. I don’t remember all the exact details, but they say she was possessed.
- And they say it happened AFTER she was saved. So, because of her experience, they must be right.
- WRONG. The word of God says different. And I will always choose the word of God over experiences.
These people will say that there’s no proof in the Bible for what I am teaching.
- Is there any proof in the Bible that clearly says a saved Christian cannot be possessed by a devil?
- All of the “DELIVERANCE” preachers out there will say that there’s no proof.
These so-called “pastors” and “ministers” are fools and idiots. They can’t understand the word of God.
- They are not saved. If they teach a saved Christian can be possessed by a devil, they are a fool.
- They do not trust in the word of God. They go by their experiences and don’t believe they are deceived.
- But, when you find out what these people really believe about salvation, you’ll see they aren’t saved.
- And this is why they can be possessed by a devil. Why? THEY AREN’T SAVED.
[3] John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
- Jesus says this same thing over and over throughout the Scriptures.
- “He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” Believing on Jesus means that you trust in Him.
- If you say, “We must endure to the end, do good works, and keep the faith to the end,” you don’t believe on Jesus Christ.
You must believe what Jesus Christ is saying. Put all your trust in Him alone, and He saves you.
- “No, we must endure to the end.” Then you think salvation is achieved and preserved by you.
- You think you are a part of salvation. This is not believing on Jesus Christ.
- You believe that you must be good to be saved even though the Bible says you aren’t good.
- Even though Jesus Christ tells you the truth, you call Him a liar. You won’t believe on Him.
That’s why you can be possessed by a devil. You won’t believe on Jesus Christ. You aren’t saved.
- You need to go back to the Bible and seek Jesus Christ. Not You Tube. Read the Gospel of John.
- Keep reading the Gospel of John until you actually get it. Listen to the Gospel. Trust Jesus Christ.
- He is “THE SACRIFICE FOR SINS.” Your works and being good doesn’t save you.
- You think that your works save you, and so you can be possessed by a devil.
- You’ve never believed on Jesus Christ ALONE so you are not saved. Therefore, a devil can possess you.
So, let’s go through a VERY CLEAR Scripture to start here today. This isn’t taken out of context.
- This is the EXACT TOPIC that Jesus Christ is speaking of within these Scriptures.
- But these fools act as if there is NOTHING in the Scriptures about Christians being possessed by devils.
- Christians are saved with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. God lives within them.
- The story we’re reading is repeated in Mark Chapter 3, Matthew Chapter 12, and Luke Chapter 11.
- We’re going to FOCUS IN ON Mark Chapter 3 today.
[4] Mark 3:22-24 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. 23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
- So, what’s the context of this Scripture right here? Jesus was casting out devils.
- What does that mean? He was casting out devils from people who were possessed with devils.
- They were inside the people. They are spirits. They are not flesh and blood.
- But they can possess flesh and blood. And Jesus was CASTING THEM OUT.
The scribes and the Pharisees, the religious people, accused Jesus of having Beelzebub or Satan.
- “By the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.”
- So, are we talking about people being possessed by devils in these Scriptures? Yes, we are.
- Again, I am not taking these Scriptures out of context. THESE ARE THE EXACT CONTEXT.
Jesus calls to these accusers that are saying He has a devil who is casting out the devils.
- He says to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan?”
- “And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.”
- In other words, Jesus is telling them that there’s no way he has a devil because he is casting them out.
- And we already know Jesus doesn’t have a devil because He is filled with the Holy Ghost.
- Jesus is God, and obviously, He CAN’T HAVE A DEVIL.
But, did you know that some idiotic foolish preachers out there teach that anger comes from devils.
- They say, “If you get angry, you have a devil because anger only comes from devils.”
- Does anger only come from the devil?
[5] Exodus 4:14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.
[6] Numbers 11:1 And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.
[7] Numbers 25:4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
[8] Jonah 3:9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
- Do you know how many Scriptures tell us the Lord has great anger?
- But these foolish men and women will then say that the King James Bible has translation errors.
- Anything that doesn’t agree with their devils must be a translation error.
Every “Deliverance Minister” That I’ve Encountered Is A Fool
Why would anyone listen to these deliverance fools? They are making money and doing evil and wicked acts.
- They want to do miracles and seek after the supernatural just like magicians, wizards, and witches.
- So, we know Jesus Christ doesn’t have a devil and has never had a devil.
- But he gets really angry too. So, obviously, all anger doesn’t come from devils.
- Can it come from devils? Yes, devils get angry too just as everyone gets angry.
Then these foolish preachers also want to teach that all sickness comes from devils.
- They say, “If you get sick, you have a devil and that devil needs to be cast out.”
- “Here, let me put my hands on you and cast out that sickness devil.” What idiots.
- Do they even read the Scriptures? Elisha was sick and died from a sickness. Did he have a devil?
- No, he didn’t. Hezekiah and Asa were sick. Asa died from that sickness. Did he have a devil? No.
[9] John 9:1-3 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
- The idiotic deliverance false preachers would say that this blind mad had a devil.
- Did this blind man have a devil? Does the Bible say ANYWHERE that this man had a devil?
- No, the word of GOD ALMIGHTY does not say this. Stop adding to God’s words.
- If someone is sick, this doesn’t mean they have a devil. Could someone who is sick have a devil? Yes.
- But not all sick people have devils. Epilepsy, for example, is a sickness and not a devil.
Catching a cold is a sickness and not a devil. The flu is a sickness and not a devil.
- Blindness, as we see in the Scriptures here, doesn’t mean someone has a devil.
- Again, could a blind person have a devil? Yes, but it doesn’t mean the devil caused the blindness.
- All of these people believe evil spirits are controlling everyone. They are fools.
Do evil spirits control some people? Yes. These are the people possessed with devils.
- For example, a person who was diagnosed with schizophrenia could have a devil.
- And then they might not have a devil. The Bible is very clear on all of these things.
- The Scriptures tell us the truth. Lying false preachers do not. They deceive to make money.
- They deceive you and do evil. Their feet run to evil. Let’s go back to Mark Chapter 3 where we left off.
- And keep in mind that Jesus is talking DIRECTLY about devils possessing people.
- He was just accused of having a devil by people who are children of the devil.
[10] Mark 3:22-26 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils. 23 And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
- Jesus casted out actual devils. These deliverance ministers are doing NOTHING like they say.
- How do I know? Because they aren’t even saved people. They don’t believe on Jesus Christ.
- ASK THEM HOW TO BE SAVED. And you’ll find out quickly. Most don’t even talk about it.
- They don’t care if you are saved. They only care about “delivering you” from demons and devils.
- They aren’t delivering anything but evil while they take your money. WAKE UP.
- Going to one of them is just like going to a sorcerer, magician, wizard, or witch.
[11] Mark 3:27-30 No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. 28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: 30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
- These are the most important Scriptures in understanding if a Christian can be possessed by a devil.
- I want you to pay very close attention to these and believe what Jesus Christ says.
- There’s several points I want to make from these Scriptures right here.
Jesus is using parables. The unsaved will fly right past these Scriptures and not realize what Jesus is teaching.
- We will not do this. We will slow down here and take a close look.
- “No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods.”
- “Except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.” Your body is your house.
- You must first be bound before a devil can spoil your house. And the devil must be stronger than you.
- If you are saved, who dwells within you or your house? Is a devil strong enough to bind you?
[12] 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
- Once you are saved by ONLY believing on Jesus Christ, your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.
- And the Holy Ghost is God. You are not your own. You have been bought with a price.
- God doesn’t possess you, control you, and take over you as a devil would do.
- God gives you freedom. A devil does not. God allows you to make your own choices.
- Allow me to be very clear. Once saved, the Holy Spirit NEVER leaves your body. HE IS THERE.
[13] 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
- Did these foolish deliverance preachers not know? MY BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF GOD.
- And the Spirit of God dwells within me. There is no way that a devil is taking over my body.
- IF I AM SAVED, THERE IS NO CHANCE A DEVIL IS GOING TO POSSESS MY BODY. No chance.
- If you read these Scriptures, and you still think a devil can possess a saved person, you have a problem.
- “But I know I am saved and a devil possessed me.” THEN YOU AREN’T SAVED.
- You wanted a sign? There it is. It’s time for you to actually believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
[14] 2 Corinthians 6:14-15 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
- These clowns who preach that they deliver Christians from being possessed with demons will say that this Scripture does not apply.
- Then what does it apply to? Absolute idiotic fools. They minimize Scripture wherever they want.
- Do you really think the Holy Spirit will allow a devil to live in the same body that He lives within?
[15] 2 Corinthians 6:16-18 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
- They say, “Oh that doesn’t count.” Does Mark Chapter 3 count?
- Does the Spirit of God dwelling within you not count?
- They say, “But I’ve seen saved Christians possessed with devils.” How did you know they were saved?
- You didn’t. And that makes you a liar. You can’t see faith. Can you see my faith? NO, YOU CAN’T.
- You don’t for sure if any person is saved.
God Says That A Saved Person Is The Temple of the Living God
God Almighty says, “For ye are the temple of the living God. I will dwell in them, and walk in them.”
- “And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” The Holy Spirit has no concord with devils.
- Do you understand this? This isn’t difficult to understand.
- Yet, people want to use their own corrupted wisdom to argue against the Scriptures.
- You won’t see me arguing against the Scriptures. Only evil and wicked men and women would do that.
What saved man or woman in their right mind would think a saved person could be possessed with devils?
- A Christian is a saved person who is following the word of God. Are you a Christian?
- Are you listening to His actual words? Are you believing what He says?
[16] Ephesians 2:18-22 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
- My house is of God. God is the strongest of all. It is not me, but it is God who dwells within me.
- God is the strong man of my house. My house is a holy temple in the Lord.
- My house is a habitation of God Almighty. I don’t care what any foolish preacher says.
- I will go by the word of God. These foolish preachers say that your experience is what matters.
- They will teach you that your feelings and emotions are what matters.
- They minimize God’s words so they can raise their own words. EVIL MEN and SEDUCERS.
- They will wax worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
Again, the strong man of MY HOUSE is God Almighty. Do you think a devil can come in and bind God?
- He dwells within me. Do you think a devil would even attempt this? NO, NOT EVEN AN ATTEMPT.
- But can Jesus Christ spoil a man’s house who is possessed by a devil? Yes, He can.
- He can cast the devil straight out without a fight because Jesus is the mightiest of all.
- This is what He’s teaching us in Mark Chapter 3, and yes, it’s very easy to understand.
- GOD IS STRONGER THAN ALL. Is that difficult to understand?
If God dwells within you, then a devil can’t. GET REAL. You actually think a devil can possess a saved person?
- And you call yourself Christian? Have ye not read ANY of the Bible? Do you not believe anything God says?
- Do you just pick and choose what you want and ignore everything else?
[17] Mark 3:27-30 No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
- Now focus on verse 28 and 29. Jesus Christ has the Holy Ghost within Him. We know this.
- And we know those who have believed on Jesus Christ have the Holy Ghost within them.
- Right? Jesus says that blasphemy of the Holy Ghost hath NEVER FORGIVENESS.
- And Jesus says this is EXACTLY what they are doing by saying that Jesus has an UNCLEAN SPIRIT.
If you think an unclean spirit can enter into someone who has the Holy Spirit within, then you should be careful.
- You should be very careful. Jesus says there’s no way an unclean spirit can be with the Holy Spirit.
- This is what Jesus Christ is teaching. HE IS THE ALMIGHTY GOD AND SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.
- He knows better than these fools out there teaching that Christians can have devils possess them.
- If someone has the Holy Spirit and you look at them and say they have an unclean spirit, this is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.
For example, I am telling you right now that I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and am saved.
- I am not good. Jesus is good. I 100% trust in HIM ALONE for salvation and NOTHING ELSE.
- I do not depend on my works in any way to save me. I do not depend on my water baptism.
- I do not depend on my going to church to save me. I do not depend on my repenting of sin to save me.
- I do not depend on my prayers to save me. I 100% believe ON Jesus Christ to save me.
- And that’s the end of it. I have everlasting life. How do I know? I don’t need to do miracles.
- I know because I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s how I know. I live by the word of God.
Now, let’s say you look at me and say that I am possessed by a devil, but it’s actually the Holy Spirit that I have.
- I would be very careful. But I have no issues telling you I think these other people have devils.
- Or, they are very good actors. There’s both types out there. Now, what about the other way around?
- I have no issues at all telling you that people who speak in babble could possibly be possessed by a devil.
- Or, they have learned to speak in babble very well. There is no example of this babbling talk in the Bible.
- And again, I live by the word of God.
If you take a look at how these so-called “deliverance ministers” cast out devils, they just repeat the same words over and over again.
- They chant the same things. The whole church is screaming, shouting, and acting like fools.
- “Deliverance ministry refers to groups that perform practices and rituals to cleanse people of demons and evil spirits.”
- In reality, it’s the other way around. They are having church to worship the devils.
- They don’t use the word of God. They stand around and scream for an hour with no preaching.
- There is no Bible being used. The people love it because it’s a show.
Should A Church Service Include Screaming, Chaos, And Violence?
Comments on You Tube say, “The church service was awesome and violent.”
- “I see why they say deliverance is so much fun. It was hot.” Yeah, it’s going to be hot for you.
- This is not the worship of God. Jesus didn’t stand around for an hour yelling the same thing.
- He didn’t have to get louder so the devils would leave. He didn’t scream and yell for them to leave.
- He just said, “Come out of this man, thou unclean spirit.” He didn’t repeat it 100 times.
- He didn’t chant and do rituals as you see in witchcraft. Jesus has no part in any of that trash.
- But these so-called deliverance ministers do. They are ministers of darkness and not light.
- And what are most of them after? MONEY. “Show me the money.”
What do these people do in these false churches after they say they had a devil cast out? They speak in babble.
- And that is supposedly their proof that the devil was cast of them. Well, I think you have another devil.
- If you had one, now you have more. Why? You opened the door to more evil spirits coming upon you.
- If we take a look at the parallel passages to Mark 3 in Matthew 12 and Luke 11, we find more.
[18] Matthew 12:22-24 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. 23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David? 24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
- This blind and dumbness was caused by the devil. The blindness in John 9 was not caused by a devil.
- So it goes both ways. Jesus cast out the devils and healed this man. Let’s keep reading.
[19] Matthew 12:25-27 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: 26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? 27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
[20] Matthew 12:28-30 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. 29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. 30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
[21] Matthew 12:31-32 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
- We see the same story as we see in Mark Chapter 3, but we learn more details.
- Now let’s look at Luke Chapter 11 for even more details and additional wisdom from Jesus.
[22] Luke 11:14-16 And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered. 15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils. 16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.
- Seeking a sign from God is tempting God.
- For example, one of these popular deliverance ministers on You Tube says this on his website:
- And keep in mind this is the man speaking of himself and how he was saved:
“After the preacher taught a Spirit filled message regarding world missions and changing the world in the name of Jesus, Isaiah knew he couldn’t possibly stay in his seat any longer. By the end of the service, without thinking twice, Isaiah ran to the altar and prayed a simple prayer that would change his entire life. He said, “God if you’re real, I’ll give you everything.” Instantly in power and in majesty, the Creator of all met Isaiah exactly where he was spiritually and physically. In an audible voice, Isaiah heard God clearly tell him, “I am going to use you to preach the gospel to every nation.”
- If you keep reading about this man’s story, it gets worse and worse.
- He doesn’t even understand that he tempted God when he said, “God, if you’re real.”
- Do you think, after reading and studying God’s word, that God will answer that?
- “Hey God, IF you are real, I will give you everything.” He sought a sign from heaven.
- He says that the Lord God Almighty spoke to him and is going to use him to preach the gospel.
- Does he even know the Gospel? Somehow he thinks he is saved by tempting God.
- Is that how you’re saved by God? Would you tempt him and then look for signs constantly?
The Scriptures related to casting out devils in Luke Chapter 11 say the people sought a sign from heaven.
- And this is called tempting God. “And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.”
- This so-called “deliverance minister” raises himself up over and over again.
- He has pictures of people worshipping him with their heads bowed and hands raised to him.
- He has church in the dark. He speaks in babble. He supposedly casts out devils with rituals.
- He says that God speaks to him constantly and gives him visions. BAM.
- He thinks being saved is tempting God, getting out of his seat, praying a prayer, and going to the altar.
- Let’s continue in Luke Chapter 11.
[23] Luke 11:17-19 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. 18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. 19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.
[24] Luke 11:20-23 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. 21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: 22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. 23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.
- These people who aren’t saved are trusting in their own goodness and their own works.
- “He taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted.”
- Do you know what my armor is? My armor is the armor of God. Truth, righteousness, the Gospel.
- Faith in God. Salvation. And the word of God. This is my armor, and I fully trust in that armor.
There Is No One Stronger Than God Almighty
Another man who is stronger than these things doesn’t exist. A stronger man can’t take over my house.
- Now, could a devil possessed man attack me and tear my flesh to pieces. Yes.
- But he can’t spiritually possess my body because God lives within me spiritually.
- A devil cannot possess my body because the Holy Spirit lives here. It’s not me with the strength.
- It is God who has the strength. I don’t trust in myself. I trust in God.
- The work of God is to believe in Him.
[25] Luke 11:24-26 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. 25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. 26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
- When unclean spirits are gone out of a man, it doesn’t mean the man is saved now.
- To be saved, a man must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Having a devil cast out doesn’t equal saved.
- But they sure have a chance to be saved. You can see this in the Bible.
- This Scripture teaches us that the unclean spirits can come back. This man wasn’t a saved man.
- Seven other spirits plus this unclean spirit come back and dwell within the man.
- Now he’s worse than before. Obviously, this man was never saved.
There is not ONE EXAMPLE within the Bible of a saved person being possessed by a devil.
- People can be saved after they’ve been possessed with a devil. There are examples of this in the Bible.
- But a saved person cannot be possessed by a devil after they are saved.
- And I don’t care what you think, feel, or what your experiences might be. You are deceived.
[26] John 14:15-17 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
[27] 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
- Jesus Christ is in me. And a devil isn’t going to attempt to take over. They know better.
- These idiotic false preachers will say that there are examples of Christians being possessed by devils.
- Do you know who they actually use to prove this? This is laughable.
- They use Judas Iscariot as the example. “He was a disciple of Jesus Christ making him a Christian.”
- “And Satan entered into him. Therefore, Christians can be possessed by devils.”
[28] John 13:26-27 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. 27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
- If Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, was he a saved man? Was he a Christian? No, he wasn’t.
[29] Luke 22:3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
- There’s a difference in Satan entering and possessing someone and Satan tempting you.
- SATAN ENTERED INTO JUDAS ISCARIOT.
[30] John 6:68-71 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. 70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
- “Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?” Judas Iscariot was a devil.
- He was possessed with a devil. He was evil. He wasn’t a Christian. Why? He didn’t believe on Jesus Christ.
- He believed Jesus was real. He believed He was a person. But he didn’t believe He was the Son of God.
- Go back a few Scriptures in the same chapter.
[31] John 6:64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
- Jesus is talking to the disciples: “But there are some of you that believe not.”
- Judas Iscariot believed not because he betrayed Jesus. The Scriptures say so.
- You aren’t saved unless you believe “IN” the Lord Jesus Christ. Judas Iscariot went to hell.
[32] Acts 5:1-3 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, 2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
- Satan deceived Ananias and filled his heart to lie to the Holy Ghost. He didn’t possess him.
- He convinced him to lie to the Holy Ghost. This is what the devil does.
- The devil and his devils convince you to do evil. And you don’t have to be possessed by them.
- For example, Job wasn’t possessed by the devil. He was being attacked by the devil.
- Satan did the same type of thing to Ananias.
[33] Matthew 16:22-23 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
- Satan convinced Peter to attempt to rebuke the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Peter wasn’t possessed by Satan. These clowns attempt to twist the Scriptures.
- Satan is putting thoughts and words into the mind of Peter.
- With that said, these same foolish preachers believe the Lord speaks to them constantly.
- Oh, that couldn’t be Satan, right? He did it right here with Peter. He convinced him to say this.
God Isn’t Leading You Against His Words
If you think God tells you to not get a job, this wouldn’t be God leading you. This would be a devil.
- This would be your thoughts because you’re lazy.
- If you think God tells you to charge people way more for a job than what it’s worth, you would be wrong.
- “Oh, the Lord is leading me to do this and that.” NO.
- The Lord isn’t leading you to do things against His words. You and your devils are leading you.
- If you think someone isn’t saved until they “ENDURE TO THE END,” you are not saved.
Does possession of devils happen to people today? Yes, but not to saved people.
- The devils, obviously, are still out there. There are millions of them out there. They are spirits.
- They are not flesh and blood. They can possess people. They can possess animals.
- Jesus cast the unclean spirits into the swine. The Bible teaches you the actual truth.
- And I’ll end this with one more set of Scripture that we read as a family today.
[34] Psalm 78:40-43 How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert! 41 Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. 42 They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy. 43 How he had wrought his signs in Egypt, and his wonders in the field of Zoan:
[35] Psalm 78:44-47 And had turned their rivers into blood; and their floods, that they could not drink. 45 He sent divers sorts of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them. 46 He gave also their increase unto the caterpiller, and their labour unto the locust. 47 He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycomore trees with frost.
- Most of these deliverance ministers would probably say this must be speaking of Satan.
- No, God did all of these things. Why? HE WAS ANGRY. Let’s see what else God did to these people.
[36] Psalm 78:48-50 He gave up their cattle also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts. 49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them. 50 He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence;
- God sent evil angels among the Egyptians. Just keep that one in mind too.
- Don’t tempt God. Don’t search out the supernatural. Don’t search for devils.
- Don’t search for familiar spirits. Don’t try to find a dead person in the spiritual world.
- You’ll only find a devil. Stop being deceived by these money hungry false preachers.
All of their so-called points about Christians can be possessed by devils are idiotic.
- They don’t match the Scriptures at all. For example, Judas Iscariot was not a Christian.
- What an idiotic argument. And all of their other arguments are idiotic too. I listened to them.
- They are all un-Biblical and not based in the Scriptures at all.
- Why those fools are in devil church screaming and flopping around for an hour, we study the Scriptures.
We preach the truth. If you are possessed by a devil, you are not saved.
- That is the 100% truth using the Scriptures.
- An actual saved Christian who has believed on Jesus Christ cannot be possessed by a devil.
Let’s pray.
