[2] The title of the sermon: “PROOF THAT JESUS IS GOD.”
- Today, I want talk more about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
- Why do I want to talk more about Him? Because I love Him, and I know Him.
- How do I know Him? I read and study the words that He wrote to all of us every day.
- Some people are out there searching for the truth, and I will show you the truth today.
Some people believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, but they don’t believe that He is God.
- We must trust the words of the Bible and not ourselves.
- For example, it doesn’t matter if I THINK Jesus Christ is something.
- The truth about Him is what matters. It doesn’t matter if you think my eyes are brown.
- My eyes are actually blue. You can THINK they are brown all you want, but they aren’t brown.
Some people, in today’s world, THINK they are birds. The truth is they aren’t birds.
- Some people think they are furries and wear kangaroo outfits. They think they are a kangaroo.
- They aren’t. We can think all kinds of things but the truth is the truth.
You may think that Jesus Christ is not God, but Jesus Christ is God. He’s the Son of God and He is God Himself.
- Let’s look at the Scriptures, and see what they actually say because we know His words are truth.
- You’ll only want to trust the word of God. I use His words, and I repeat His words.
- I want to prove today, 100% without a shadow of a doubt, that Jesus Christ is God.
I have many Scriptures that prove Jesus is God. He is not God the Father.
- Any one of these Scriptures will prove to you that Jesus is God. But, I have many.
- Put these all together, and you should leave this sermon knowing 100% for sure that Jesus Christ is God.
- He is the Son of God, and He is God. God the Father is God. The Holy Spirit is God. Jesus is God.
- Today, we’re going to focus in on Jesus Christ being God.
[3] John 1:1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
- The King James Bible is the perfect word of God in English. The Bible tells us that the Word was God.
- The Word is Jesus Christ. The Word was there in the beginning. He was not created.
- He was there before anything was created. This means He is God.
- If someone was there before ANYTHING was created, they must be God.
And yes, Jesus was clearly there in the beginning and all throughout the Old Testament.
- His name of Jesus wasn’t known by the people in the Old Testament, but He was there.
- Moses spoke face to face with the Son of God. Jacob wrestled with Jesus and saw Him face to face.
- Abraham had a meal with Jesus Christ, face to face, in Genesis Chapter 18.
- If that’s not Jesus Christ, who was it? No man hath seen God the Father at any time.
- But men have seen Jesus Christ face to face. Jesus has always been here. He is eternal.
The Word was with God. That means there is more than one person in God. Jesus Christ was WITH GOD.
- Jesus is the Son of God. He is not the Father. Jesus was WITH God the Father and WITH the Holy Spirit.
- And the Bible tells us directly that Jesus, THE WORD, was God.
- All things were made by Jesus Christ. Without Jesus Christ, nothing was made or created.
- This means He is God because He is not a created being. He is not a created angel or a created man.
Life comes through Jesus Christ only. If you’re alive right now, Jesus gave you the life you have.
- If you want to live forever, God who is Jesus Christ can give you that everlasting life.
- If Jesus were a created human as us, He couldn’t give you life or everlasting life.
- John 1:1 alone is plenty to know that Jesus Christ is God.
[4] John 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
- Why did the Jews want to kill Jesus Christ? Jesus clearly says that God is His Father.
- Jesus clearly says that He is equal with God the Father. “Making Himself equal with God.”
- If you say, “God is my direct Father,” what are you saying? You’re equal with God.
- If Jesus is the Son of God, He must be God.
- For some reason, people don’t understand what the Jews understood.
If you are the Son of God, you are of God. You must be God.
- My daughter, Callie, came up with a great comparison. My kids really make me think at times.
- This is why you should talk and listen to your children who believe. They will teach you things.
- Man comes from man. Animals come from animals. Cats come from cats. Dogs come from dogs.
- Fish come from fish. The Bible tells us all these things. This is the truth.
God comes from God. If you come from a human, you’re human. If you are a son of man, you are a man.
- I come from a man and a woman. I am a man only. Jesus Christ comes from God, and He is God.
- There’s no way around this. If He is the Son of God, He is equal with God. He is God.
- God the Father is God. Jesus Christ is God. The Holy Spirit is God. Three persons in one God.
They perfectly align with each other in every way possible, but they are different persons.
- They have different wills. Jesus said that He does His Father’s will and not His own.
- Is it Biblical to say, “three persons in one God?” Yes, it is Biblical to say 3 persons in one God.
- This doesn’t come from the Catholics. Three persons in one God originated from eternity.
[5] Hebrews 1:1-3 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
- God made the worlds by Jesus Christ just as John 1:1 tells us. God didn’t create Jesus first.
- He was always there. He is not a creation. He is God.
- Jesus is the brightness of God’s glory. How could that be if He was a creation? Not possible.
- Jesus Christ is the express image of His person. This speaks of His Father.
- The Son is the express image of the Father. If you’ve seen the Son, you’ve seen the Father.
- They are not the same person. They are different persons. The Father is not the Son.
- The Son is not the Father. But they are the express image of each other.
Jesus says, “There is another that beareth witness of me. If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.”
- He says, “I have a greater witness than John.” John the Baptist is the greatest of all men.
- But Jesus says, “I have a greater witness.” He says His Father is that greater witness.
- “And the Father Himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me.”
“Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen His shape.” Jesus was standing there in front of them.
- They’ve seen Jesus. They heard His voice. He was speaking with them. Jesus is not the Father.
- Jesus is the Son of God. He says this Himself over and over and over again.
- He says that He is God over and over and over again. He tells us that He is not God the Father.
Hebrews 1:3 that you see right there tells us that Jesus sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high.
- The majesty on high is God the Father. Jesus is equal with God the Father but Jesus submits to Him.
- If He sits down on His right hand, the Bible is telling you that Jesus is God. He’s up there equal with God.
[6] Hebrews 1:4-5 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
- The phrase “BEING MADE” right there doesn’t equal that God created Jesus. He didn’t make Him.
- He is higher than the angels. Why? Because He is God. Angels, the living creatures, were created.
- They are creatures as the Bible calls them or creations. Jesus is not.
- God never told any of the angels that they are the Son of God. But He says this to Jesus Christ.
- God is the Father of Jesus Christ. Jesus doesn’t have a mother in heaven. Why? He is God.
[7] Hebrews 1:6-8 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
- God brought Jesus Christ into the world. He was born of a virgin into this world.
- He was conceived by the Holy Ghost. If you are conceived of God, you must be God. God is His Father.
- “And let all the angels of God worship Him.” Have you ever noticed these words?
- God commands everyone everywhere to worship God only.
- If God says to let all the angels worship Jesus Christ, He must be God Himself.
If that’s not enough, you simply look to verse 8 of Hebrews Chapter 1. The Father says to the Son:
- “Thy throne, O GOD, is for ever and ever.” The majesty on high calls Jesus Christ, His Son, God.
- Is that not enough to prove that Jesus is God? The greatest witness of all, a true witness, calls Jesus God.
- If the perfect word of God doesn’t change your mind, nothing will. I can’t help you if that doesn’t do it.
[8] Psalm 45:6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
- Hebrews 1:8 and Psalm 45:6, again, tie the Old and New Testament together.
- So, for anyone who thinks Jesus Christ isn’t everywhere in the Old Testament, wake up.
- The Old Testament and New Testament go together perfectly in every way.
And by the way, if you read Psalm Chapter 45 and Hebrews Chapter 1, you’ll find that Jesus HATES wickedness.
- People in this world fall for the, “Jesus doesn’t hate.” Yes, He does. He hates wickedness.
- He was there when He, HIMSELF, rained fire and brimstone from heaven on Sodom and Gomorrah.
- Jesus hates wickedness, and He hates the wicked person too.
- If you don’t think so, you have the wrong Jesus.
- God anointed Jesus Christ with the oil of gladness above everyone because He hates wickedness.
[9] John 10:30-31 I and my Father are one. 31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
- If you read this chapter, you’ll see the hands of Jesus are not the hands of His Father.
- The Father and Son are one God, but they are not the same person of God.
- The Jews took up stones again to stone Him because Jesus says, “I and my Father are one.”
- He is making Himself equal with God the Father.
[10] John 10:32-33 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? 33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
- Jesus tells them over and over again that He is God. That’s why they crucified Him.
- Remember, this sermon is being written to prove to you that Jesus is God.
- You can use all these Scriptures during soul winning to convince a Jehovah’s Witness or a Mormon.
- You can use these with people who just don’t believe that Jesus is God.
[11] John 20:28-29 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
- Thomas says directly to Jesus, “My Lord and my God.” Jesus doesn’t rebuke him at all.
- He doesn’t say, “Do not call me God.” He calls Himself God many times. Thomas is right.
- Jesus is Lord and God. This is perfect and holy Scripture that doesn’t contain lies.
- False religion contains lies.
[12] Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
- This Scripture proves that Jesus is God. What man can be born of a virgin? They can’t be born of a virgin.
- God can, though. “And shall call His name Immanuel.” What does Immanuel mean?
- We don’t get this from the wisdom of man. We get this straight from the Bible.
[13] Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
- Emmanuel means GOD WITH US. Jesus Christ is God. Jesus Christ be with us. God be with us.
[14] Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
- Jesus is called “THE MIGHTY GOD.” He is not a god. He is “THE MIGHTY GOD.” There is only one God.
- There are no other gods. There is ONE GOD only. Jesus is not called God the Father in this verse.
- He is called the everlasting Father or Father of everlasting. He is a Father to me. He gave me life.
- He has begotten me through His work and through His sacrifice. He owns life and everlasting life.
- He is the Father of everlasting. He is the mighty God.
- Old Testament and New Testament say the same things.
[15] Isaiah 40:9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
- “Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to ALL PEOPLE.”
- When Isaiah Chapter 40 verse 9 says, “Behold your God,” who would you think this speaks of?
- Jesus Christ is God, and the entire Bible tells you this hundreds of times.
[16] Romans 9:4-5 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
- Every word of God is perfect and important. If you pay close attention to every word, you’ll see the truth.
- Look at verse 5 closely. “Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh CHRIST came.”
- “Who is over all, GOD blessed forever.” How can you be over ALL if you aren’t God? Not possible.
- This verse calls Jesus Christ God. “Christ came, God blessed for ever. Amen.”
- Jesus Christ is God and is over all because He is God.
[17] Philippians 2:4-6 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
- Jesus is in the form of God. He thought it not robbery to be equal with God. Jesus is God.
- Jesus is equal with God. All of these Scriptures are clear proof that Jesus is God.
- But, we know for sure He is not His Father. He is the Son of God, and He is God.
[18] 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
- Who was manifest in the flesh? Jesus Christ. God was manifest in the flesh. Jesus is God. It’s that simple.
- If God was manifest in the flesh, and we know this speaks of Jesus, then we know for sure Jesus is God.
[19] Titus 2:13-14 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
- “The great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.” This speaks of Jesus Christ alone. He comes in the clouds.
- At His second coming, you won’t see God the Father. You will see Jesus Christ.
- “And the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; who gave Himself for us.”
- Jesus is the great God. You can’t twist all of these Scriptures.
[20] 2 Peter 1:1-3 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
- This Scripture tells us that Jesus is God multiple times.
- “To them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ.”
- We know from the perfect Bible that there is none good but God. God has righteousness of His own.
- We do not. Jesus has this righteousness of His own. If He has it of Himself, this proves He is God.
- “God and our Savior Jesus Christ.” Jesus is both God and our Savior.
“Grace and peace be multiplied through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.”
- Jesus is Lord and God just as Thomas stated “my Lord and my God.”
- Verse 3, right there, says “According as His DIVINE power.” Jesus has divine power.
- What does divine mean? The definition is pertaining to the true God, Godlike, heavenly.
- Excellent in the highest degree. Extraordinary. Above what is human. Jesus is divine. He is God.
[21] 1 John 5:7-9 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
- There are 3 that bear record in heaven. Three persons in one God. Who are they?
- 1) The Father, 2) The Word, and 3) the Holy Ghost. “And these three are one.”
- Jesus was not created. He is not a man made from the dirt as we are. He is from heaven.
We are from earth. He is from heaven. He is a heavenly witness. His witness is greater than any man.
- That’s why we listen to His words in this Bible. He tells us the truth. His words are greater than ours.
- He does not lie to us. God cannot lie. Jesus is good. He is perfect. We are not. That’s why we need God.
- The Bible, once again, calls Jesus “The Word.” We know the Word is from heaven and not created.
- We looked closely at John 1:1. We know the Word was God.
So, if you know how to do this, you can lookup “The Word” in the Bible using a case sensitive search.
- You want to search for capital “Word” in the King James Bible. You’ll find results in 4 chapters of the Bible.
- 1) John Chapter 1, 2) 1 John Chapter 1, 3) 1 John Chapter 5, 4) Revelation Chapter 19. Let’s look.
- Remember, we know the word is God because John 1:1 tells us.
[22] John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- That is the first mention of the Word in all the Bible. We know this speaks of Jesus Christ.
- But let’s keep going.
[23] John 1:14-15 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
- The Word was made flesh. There is no other option but Jesus Christ here. Obviously, the Word is Jesus.
- Jesus Christ was born of the flesh AFTER John the Baptist but John says, “For He was before me.”
- If Jesus is before John the Baptist, He is God. He was born after, in the flesh, but He’s always been here.
- He is the Son of Abraham, the Son of David. But He says, “Before Abraham was, I am.”
- David calls Jesus Lord. Jesus was before Abraham, before David, before John the Baptist.
[24] John 8:57-58 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
- Where does this come from first in the Bible? “I AM.” Watch this.
[25] Exodus 3:13-14 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
- “I AM hath sent me to you.” Jesus Christ was speaking with Moses. God was speaking with Moses.
- Jesus says, “I AM.” He’s saying over and over again that He is God.
- Some people will still say, “Jesus never says He is God in the Bible.”
- I guess, “Before Abraham was, I AM” doesn’t count???
- Where else is THE WORD seen in the Bible? Remember, there are 4 chapters.
- John Chapter 1 we’ve seen. 1 John Chapter 1 is next.
[26] 1 John 1:1-3 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
- The Word of life is Jesus Christ. The apostle John saw Jesus Christ. Jesus loved John greatly.
- John saw Jesus with his own eyes. He is bearing witness in the book of 1 John. Jesus is the Word.
- Jesus is God. He is the Son of God. When we believe in the Son of God, we believe in God and His Father.
- If we believe in a Son, we will also believe in His Father.
- If you say that Jesus Christ is not the Son of God, then you don’t have the right Jesus.
- If you say that Jesus Christ is not God, then you don’t have the right Jesus.
- Here’s the 3rd of 4 chapters with THE WORD mentioned.
[27] 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
- We already saw this one. We know the Word is Jesus. We know the Bible tells us He is God.
- We know Jesus is from heaven. We know Jesus is of God. And here’s the fourth chapter.
- We look to Revelation Chapter 19.
[28] Revelation 19:11-13 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
- This is Jesus Christ. His name is The, capital, Word of God. He is clothed in a vesture dipped in blood.
- He died for you and I. His blood spilled out for you and I. Only God Himself could be the sacrifice for sins.
[29] Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
- Notice the exact words. Is Jesus called God in the Bible? Here’s proof right there in Genesis Chapter 22.
- “God will provide HIMSELF a lamb for a burnt offering.” Who was that? Jesus Christ.
- God provided HIMSELF a lamb. God Himself is the sacrifice for sins. God Himself became a burnt offering.
- Jesus took our penalty in hell for us. The Son of God, Jesus Christ, is the Lamb of God, and He is God.
[30] Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
- This is Jesus speaking. He says that He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending.
- He is the Almighty. Jesus said these things to the Jews while He was on earth. That’s why He was crucified.
- Because He told them the truth, they hated Him.
[31] Revelation 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
- Revelation Chapter 1 tells us this is the Son of man speaking. This is Jesus Christ speaking.
[32] Revelation 1:17-18 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
- He is Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. There is no one else this can be speaking about.
- He was dead. He says, “I am alive for evermore.” He has the keys of hell and of death. Jesus is God.
- Did you know He says this in the Old Testament too?
[33] Isaiah 48:12-13 Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last. 13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.
- Jesus was there in the beginning before anything was made that was made.
- This earth sits on nothing in space because Jesus told it to. The skies is there because Jesus put it there.
- The waters calm because Jesus told them to be calm. This is al His creation. This is God’s creation.
[34] Colossians 1:12-15 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
[35] Colossians 1:16-17 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
- All things were created by Jesus Christ. He is BEFORE all things, and by Him all things consist.
- He wasn’t the first created. He is not a creation. He was made flesh.
- He already existed before He was made flesh. He is the image of the invisible God.
- God is before ALL THINGS. Every creature comes through Him. A creature is a creation.
- He is not a creation. We are only born through Him. Our life only comes through Him.
We only receive eternal life through Jesus Christ who must be God. He conquered hell. Man cannot do that.
- He is the firstfruits. He has a new and glorified body right now. No one else does.
- His resurrection shows us that one day we will receive a new and glorified body like Him.
- We are only born through Him, and we are only born again through Him.
- We only receive a new body in the resurrection through Him. He gives us all these good gifts.
We can only be saved by putting our trust in Jesus Christ because He owns everlasting life. He is God.
- If you don’t believe Jesus is God, you can’t be saved.
- If you believe He is the Son of God, you know that He is equal with God.
[36] 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
- Who is the true God? Jesus Christ is God. He is not His Father, and He is not the Holy Spirit.
- Eternal life comes through Him only.
- ”For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
- He gave Himself a ransom for all and that is why everlasting life, salvation, comes through Him.
- Jesus is ONLY the Son of God and God. He is the true God and eternal life.
If you want to make it to heaven, you must believe that He can save you.
- You know that He can do all things because He is God. Only God can do all things.
- Only God can save you. Jesus is God. There is no one else who can save you.
- Trust that Jesus is God and that He did all the work for you.
Just as you did no works to receive the life you have right now, you will do no work for salvation.
- Simply change your mind and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Know that He is the Son of God.
- Know that He is God because you trust the words of the Bible. This is what saves you.
[37] Colossians 2:8-10 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
- Don’t be fooled. When you believe in Jesus Christ, you believe in God. You know He can save you.
- You know that Jesus is God, and He can do it. In Christ dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
- When you believe in Jesus, you are in Christ. You are complete in Him because He says so.
- You have everlasting life that doesn’t go away because He gave it to you.
- He says so, and He is the authority. Why? Because He is God. That’s why this is important to know.
- He’s not a man like us. He doesn’t make mistakes. He doesn’t mess up. He doesn’t lie.
He is worshipped in the Bible. Joshua fell at His feet. The disciples worshipped Him when He calmed the seas.
- A Canaanite woman with great faith worshipped Him. Mary and Mary worshipped Him after He arose.
- He never stops anyone when they worshipped Him. This proves He is God.
- “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Jesus forgives sin.
- Only God can forgive sins. “Thy sins be forgiven thee.”
We’ve shown today, using a heavenly witness, THE BIBLE, that 100% without a doubt Jesus is God.
- There’s much more proof within the Bible. You will find hundreds of Scriptures with this proof.
- Is Jesus Christ God? You should be able to answer this one very easily now.
- Write these Scriptures on the tables of your heart.
- When someone comes along that says they believe in Jesus but they do not believe He is God, you’ll know the Scriptures to use.
- They do not believe IN Jesus Christ if they do not believe He is God. Your job is to convince them.
Let’s pray.
