📅 Episode 24 – Saturday: Culture & Christianity
Question: “Is Feminism Compatible with the Bible?”
🎬 Intro Script:
This is Baptist Bold: Ask a Pastor—where culture gets corrected by the Word of God. I’m Pastor Joshua Tapp from True Words Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Let’s expose today’s lie…
📖 Answer:
No—feminism is not compatible with the Bible.
Feminism says: “Women don’t need men.”
God says: “It is not good that the man should be alone…” (Genesis 2:18)
Feminism says: “Submission is oppression.”
God says: “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands…” (Ephesians 5:22)
Feminism says: “Women should lead the home, the church, and the nation.”
God says: “I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man…” (1 Timothy 2:12)
1. Feminism Rejects Biblical Roles
Feminism hates the idea of a man being the head of the home—
But God designed marriage with order and structure.
📖 1 Corinthians 11:3 — “…the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.”
When a woman rebels against that, she’s not rejecting man—she’s rejecting God.
2. Feminism Preaches Selfishness, Not Sacrifice
The Bible teaches modesty, meekness, and a gentle spirit.
📖 1 Peter 3:4 — “…the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.”
Feminism teaches independence, arrogance, and self-glory.
It turns women into rebels—not role models.
3. Feminism Destroys the Home and Society
At its core, feminism pushes for role reversal and authority rebellion.
It mocks the housewife, attacks motherhood, and celebrates abortion.
📖 Titus 2:5 — “To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home…”
Today, that verse is offensive to feminists—but it’s still Bible truth.
4. God’s Design Honors Women Without Replacing Men
The Bible lifts up women in incredible ways—
Sarah, Deborah, Hannah, Esther, Mary.
But none of them had to become men to be powerful.
They were honored when they embraced God’s purpose, not when they fought it.
🎯 Bottom Line:
Feminism isn’t about equality.
It’s rebellion wrapped in empowerment.
If you love God, you won’t side with the world’s agenda.
You’ll trust His perfect design—for men and for women.
📖 Romans 12:2 — “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
