[2] The title of the sermon: “CAN JESUS COME BACK AT ANY MOMENT?”
- If you’ve been in Christian churches throughout this country, you know the saying:
- “Jesus can come back at any moment.” Is this a true saying?
- Can Jesus come back at any moment? In 5 seconds, can Jesus come back?
- Can He come back tonight, tomorrow, or the next day? How about next month?
- How about next year? To find the truth, we would only use the Scriptures. And we will.
But, before we get to the Scriptures, I want you to understand what most Christian churches are teaching today.
- They will speak of the imminent return of Jesus Christ. Imminent means likely to happen at any moment.
- Understand what that means. They are teaching and preaching that Jesus can come back at any moment.
- And they are saying that it’s likely to happen at any moment.
- Now, how wrong can they be and continue to teach this?
How many moments has there been in the last couple of hundred years?
- They say: “At any moment, Jesus can come back in an invisible rapture to take people away.”
- And they’ve been wrong billions of MOMENTS since they started saying this.
- When will you stop saying that Jesus can come back at any moment and start listening to what Jesus says?
- The truth is that Jesus will come back when He says He will come back.
- The rapture or first resurrection will happen when Jesus says it will happen.
Does Jesus tell us when He is coming back in the Bible? Yes. Does He give us the exact day and hour?
- No, He doesn’t. Does He give us all the signs to look for? Yes, He does.
- He even tells us to watch for all of these things, and then we shall see Him coming in the clouds.
- So, why wouldn’t we use the Scriptures to know when Jesus is coming back?
Again, we will never know the exact day or hour because God says so, but we can know when it’s getting close.
- And we can know that Jesus can’t come back at any moment until all of these things come to pass.
- What things? The things that Jesus tells us must happen BEFORE He comes back.
- So, let’s take a look at the actual Scriptures. Can Jesus come back at any moment?
[3] Psalm 119:89 LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
- Lamed there is the twelfth letter in the Hebrew alphabet or speaking of the twelfth part in this chapter.
- God’s word is settled in heaven. He doesn’t change His words. They are written. They do not change.
- He doesn’t make mistakes. No one can go to heaven, change His words, or delete His words.
- They aren’t on a computer. They are in heaven. They are God’s words. THEY ARE SETTLED.
- In other words, we can’t change when Jesus is coming back. It will happen according to His words.
[4] Psalm 119:144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.
- This Bible is God’s testimony. These are His words. We trust them with all of our heart.
[5] Psalm 119:152 Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.
- His words are founded forever. They do not fade away.
[6] Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
- Many churches have changed and added to God’s words.
- God, NOT ONCE, NOT EVER says that Jesus can come back at any moment.
- In this exact time that we live in today, Jesus cannot come back at any moment.
- If He came back right now, He would be breaking His words. He doesn’t break His words.
[7] 1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
- When we read this Bible, we know that we have the truth. The word of the Lord endureth forever.
- We trust His words. We trust what He tells us. We do not trust anyone over God Almighty.
- He knows what will happen. He knows the future.
- We only know some things because He tells us these things.
[8] Psalm 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
[9] Psalm 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
[10] Psalm 111:7-8 The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. 8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
[11] Ecclesiastes 3:14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
[12] Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
- That verse right there are the words of Jesus Christ. He is speaking there. This means He is God.
- He is the Son of God, and He is God. We could go on and on with similar Scriptures.
- We know that God’s words are true. Why am I spending time on this?
- Because you need to know to trust in His words and to stop trusting in lying words in churches.
If you hear someone say, “Jesus can come back at any moment,” you will know they have no clue what they’re talking about.
- You know that they don’t read and study the Bible. You know that they don’t trust in God’s words.
- I want to show you the Scriptures people will use to say that Jesus can come back at any moment.
- Let’s look at these so you’ll know what false preachers will do.
- And remember, the second coming of Jesus Christ is very important to know.
- The Bible tells us that false prophets will attempt to deceive people. So this is important to know.
[13] Matthew 24:42-44 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
- This Scripture is constantly used to say that Jesus Christ can come at any moment.
- Did you not read the chapter? HAVE YE NOT READ.
- For anyone using this Scripture to prove that Jesus can come back at any moment, do me a favor.
- Go back to verse 1 and read the entire chapter. Then, tell me that Jesus can come back at any moment.
- Throughout the chapter, He tells you what must happen first.
Have all of those things happened? No, they haven’t.
- So, please, stop using Matthew Chapter 24 as proof that Jesus can come back at any moment.
- Let me show you an example in the same chapter. Don’t skip over all of these things.
- IT’S THE SAME CHAPTER!!! Read it. Don’t just pick and choose what you want.
[14] Matthew 24:29-31 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
- This Scripture says 100% for sure that Jesus will come back after the tribulation.
- What has to happen before Jesus comes back? THE TRIBULATION.
- The rapture occurs after the tribulation but before God pours out His wrath with the trumpets and vials.
What signs happen right before Jesus comes in the clouds? The sun and moon are darkened.
- The stars fall from heaven. When this does happen, we know His second coming is very close.
- We still don’t know the exact day or hour, though. We will never know this until it happens.
- But we are to watch for all the things in Matthew Chapter 24 BEFORE Jesus comes back.
- He says, “WATCH THEREFORE. BE READY.” Watch for what? All of the signs He gives us.
- Those signs in Matthew Chapter 24 have not happened yet.
So we know Jesus can’t come back at any moment.
- Once these things come to pass, though, we know that Jesus is coming very soon.
- Remember, the imminent return of Jesus Christ means that it’s very likely He comes back now.
- And now. And now. And now. ANY MOMENT. This is a lie. His words will not be broken.
- This is why every moment they are wrong. He can’t come back any moment. He doesn’t lie to us.
- Earlier in Matthew Chapter 24, as another example, this must happen before Jesus comes back.
[15] Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
- The abomination of desolation must happen. This has not occurred. So Jesus is not coming back yet.
- But, do we look for this? Yes, we look and watch for all of these things. We use His words to guide us.
- You can easily see that this isn’t happening in most churches. They don’t use His words as a guide.
- When you don’t use His words, you will be lost. You won’t have a clue. You’ll be following lies.
I would be kicked out of most so-called “Christian” churches and denominations for teaching what I teach today.
- They will state that one of their fundamental “truths” is the imminent return of Jesus Christ.
- If you don’t believe that Jesus Christ can return at any moment, they will call you a heretic.
- But, according to the word of God, they are the liars. They are the false preachers.
Again, we listen to the words of Jesus Christ. If you’re a man who says different, I have no respect for you.
- For example, an old “man of god” told me one time that God doesn’t throw anyone into hell.
- He looked at me and said: “How can you say that? God forbid.” Who do you trust?
- The trust that you put in God is what saves you. Who do you trust?
[16] Matthew 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
- They love to use that Scripture to tell you that Jesus can come at any moment.
- But let’s put the surrounding verses with it and read the whole thing. Maybe they can’t see any of this.
- This is called picking and choosing what they want to support their false teaching.
- Let’s go to the surrounding Scriptures.
[17] Matthew 24:48-51 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
- We are not those evil servants. My portion is not with the hypocrites. My portion is not hell.
- Jesus Christ has saved me and given me everlasting life. This isn’t speaking about me.
- But, they pick verse 50 out of there to say Christ can come back at any moment. They are jokes.
And, many of them will say that Matthew 24 isn’t about the second coming of Jesus Christ.
- Some might say that Matthew 24 isn’t about the rapture.
- But, they still use Matthew Chapter 24 to prove that the second coming of Jesus Christ is imminent.
- Which one is it? Is Matthew Chapter 24 about the second coming or not?
- If not, then stop using the verses to prove that Jesus can come back at any moment. HE CAN’T.
- The truth is Matthew chapter 24 is about the rapture and second coming of Jesus Christ.
- The rapture or first resurrection happens at the second coming of Jesus Christ.
[18] Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
- This Scripture is at the end of the parable of the ten virgins. Again, Jesus says to watch.
- We do not know the day or the hour, but He gives us signs to watch for.
- THEN, we will know when it is coming closer and closer.
- But these false preachers use this Scripture to say Jesus is now coming at any moment.
- This next Scripture they use is hilarious to me. They don’t read anything else in the same chapter.
- Mark 13 is a parallel chapter to Matthew 24. Watch what they do here.
[19] Mark 13:32-37 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
- But go back just a few verses right before these in the same paragraph. Going back to verse 28.
- They started in verse 32.
[20] Mark 13:28-31 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: 29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. 30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. 31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
- Jesus tells us the truth. He isn’t coming back until all of these other things happen.
- And it’s very obvious that they haven’t happened yet. READ THE CHAPTER IN ORDER.
- Jesus wrote it in this order for a reason.
- If you can’t read the chapter and see that all these things must come to pass BEFORE He comes back, then you have a big problem.
[21] Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
- Yes, I am going to be watching and comparing the things that are happening to God’s words.
- I will be ready. I will not be drunken. I am going to be watching, reading, studying, preaching.
- I am going to know what God says so all these clowns out there who call themselves Christians don’t deceive me.
- And that’s what you need to be doing. So, what do I do with this verse? I read some more around it.
- I go back to verse 36 and I read up to verse 40.
[22] Luke 12:36-37 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. 37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
- God tells us to watch. Will He find us watching or not? I’m going to be watching. Will you?
[23] Luke 12:38-40 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. 40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
- I guarantee you that any Christian who is still alive when all of these exact signs are happening, they will be watching closely.
- When I see the sun and moon darkened, I don’t care what time it is. I don’t need sleep any longer.
- I am going to lift up my head. I’m going to look up. I know He’s coming soon. Every eye shall see Him.
- I know that His coming will not consist of a secret rapture.
- The Bible clearly says that every eye shall see Him.
[24] Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
- As He ascended into heaven, He will descend from heaven at His second coming.
- Will this be a secret? No, the Bible says that every eye shall see Him.
[25] Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[26] Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
- The Bible even warns you directly against a secret coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
[27] Matthew 24:21-23 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
- Even through the tribulation and into the great tribulation, believe it not.
- The tribulation must end before Jesus comes back. Are we in the tribulation? No, we are not.
- It might not happen in my life time. It might not happen in my children’s life time.
- But, we will be watching. We know what to look for because God gives us all the signs.
We are waiting for these things to come to pass.
- But, we know 100% for sure that Jesus isn’t coming back tonight.
- And if someone tells me that He came back tonight, I know they are liars because God told me so.
- How? Through His words in the Bible. When someone tries to change His words, they are liars.
- What other Scriptures do people attempt to use as their proof that Jesus is coming back at any moment?
[28] Philippians 3:20-21 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
- Yes, we look for the Savior. Does this say He’s coming at any moment, though? No, it doesn’t.
- This even proves that the rapture and second coming happen at the same time.
- Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21, and 1 Thessalonians 4 does the same.
- This Scripture is not proof that the return of Jesus Christ is imminent or can happen now, or now, or now.
- Here’s another Scripture that is used by false preachers to teach a lie to their congregations.
[29] 1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
- Yes, this is the truth. The day of the Lord cometh as a thief in the night.
- The Day of the Lord is when Jesus comes back at His second coming when the rapture occurs.
- Now, let’s read all the Scriptures around this verse. And then you can tell me if I am lying to you.
- We go back to 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4.
[30] 1 Thessalonians 4:13-15 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
- This speaks of the rapture or first resurrection or the bodily resurrection of saved people.
- The souls of saved people are alive in heaven but their bodies are asleep in the graves.
- Jesus arose from the dead bodily and so will we. Jesus will bring us with Him.
- Verse 15 states that this is talking about the “coming of the Lord.” This speaks of His second coming.
- These other people say that He comes back at any moment to secretly rapture us, but they say it’s not the second coming of the Lord.
But they constantly say, “Jesus can COME BACK at any moment.”
- Well, which coming of the Lord are you talking about?
- I thought you said the rapture isn’t the coming of the Lord. The Bible says different than you.
- Verse 15 clearly says that this is speaking of the coming of the Lord.
- There’s a second coming. That’s what we’re looking for, right?
- But they’ve created all of these fairy tales with different coming’s of the Lord.
- They have many and multiples. We have one second coming according to the Bible. We wait for this.
[31] 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
- Verse 15 calls this the coming of the Lord. Verse 16 shows Him descending from heaven.
- Every eye shall see Him when He returns. The Bible says so. What happens when He comes again?
- Verse 17 speaks of the bodily resurrection of the saved or the saints or the sanctified.
- An actual trumpet sounds at His second coming and the rapture.
[32] 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
- This speaks of the rapture or bodily resurrection at the second coming of Jesus Christ.
- The trumpet shall sound. That’s the moment where all of this happens. Our bodies will arise.
- They will be changed into a body that is glorified and incorruptible. This body cannot die.
- Now, if you look closely at 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4, you’ll see verse 18 is the end of that chapter.
- People use 1 Thessalonians Chapter 5 verse 2 to prove the imminent return of Christ.
[33] 1 Thessalonians 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
- We were just speaking of the coming of the Lord and the rapture.
- When is this going to happen, though? “But of the times and the seasons.”
- “Ye have no need that I write unto you.” Well, why is that?
[34] 1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
- He has no need to write when the second coming and rapture will happen because you already know.
- He’s saying that they happen on the day of the Lord. And this day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night.
- But keep reading. We don’t just pick and choose a sentence that supports a false doctrine.
- We actually read and study all the surrounding Scriptures to make sure the meaning.
This doesn’t say the Day of the Lord will happen at any moment.
- He’s saying that there’s already many other Scriptures describing the day of the Lord.
- And, listen, the Day of the Lord will not come upon me as a thief in the night.
- Why is that? Because I know the signs that Jesus gave me to look for. Listen to this.
[35] 1 Thessalonians 5:3-4 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
- Can you not read, false preachers?
- “But, ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”
- We have the light of God’s words that tell us the truth. When we trust His words, we see the truth.
[36] 1 Thessalonians 5:5-7 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
[37] 1 Thessalonians 5:8-10 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
- Here’s the truth, which is from the LIGHT of GOD’S WORDS.
- The second coming of Jesus Christ happens directly after the tribulation.
- When the sun and moon are darkened, the tribulation is over. This happens at the sixth seal.
- Jesus comes back in the clouds. The rapture happens. Seal 6 and 7 are not a part of the tribulation.
- The tribulation is not equal to Daniel’s 70th week or the 7-year period. It’s just a part of it.
- After the second coming of Jesus, God pours out His wrath on this earth with the trumpets and vials.
We are to watch. Be sober. Be children of the light. Know what is coming and what is not.
- We are to trust God’s words. He gives us the exact order of all these things.
- When we listen to Him, the second coming of Jesus will not overtake us as a thief would overtake us.
- This is because we know what’s coming. We don’t know the day or hour, but we know what to look for.
- Here’s more Scripture that people will say prove that Jesus can come back at any moment.
- Please tell me how this proves Jesus can come back right now.
[38] James 5:7-9 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
- Yes, the coming of the Lord draws near. It’s getting closer as every moment passes.
- But this doesn’t prove that He can come at any moment. Where does the Bible say this?
- The Bible actually says that He comes on the Day of the Lord when the rapture happens.
- He comes at the second coming of Jesus Christ. There is no middle coming between the first and second.
God isn’t using fractions or decimals. It’s not coming 1.5 when the rapture happens.
- It is the second coming of Jesus Christ. There was one, and now there will be two. We can count to two.
- Be patient doesn’t really apply to He can come at any moment.
- Churches have taught their pastors they don’t need to know these things because they will be raptured.
- And it’s obvious and clear that they don’t know these things. Here’s another verse they use.
[39] 1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
- We are watching for the signs that Jesus told us to watch for.
- If He is coming at any moment like a thief in the night, then what would they be watching for?
- He’s not coming like a thief in the night for us. We know what to watch for.
[40] 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
- Again, the Day of the Lord doesn’t come as a thief in the night for the children of the light.
- The evil shall be burned up. Not the saved. Not God’s children.
- This Scripture doesn’t say that Jesus can come back at any moment. There is no Scripture that says that.
[41] Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
- They use “for the time is at hand” to say that Jesus can come back any moment.
- Well, there’s a lot of things in the Book of Revelation.
- Does that mean trumpet 7 can happen any moment?
- Or, does trumpet 6 need to happen before trumpet 7. These people are clowns with straw arguments.
[42] Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
- Does this say, “Behold, I can come at any moment?” No, it does not. But this is their so-called proof.
[43] Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
- Another Scripture they will put in parentheses as their so-called “Scripture proof.”
- Again, no way in hell does this say that Jesus is coming at any moment.
- This just says that when He comes, it’s going to be quickly.
You won’t see Him a long way off in the clouds for a few days. Then you see Him getting a little bigger on Day 12.
- Then He’s getting closer and closer. He’s now been coming in the clouds for 23 days.
- And then on the 34th day, you can now see Him better. No, it’s quick. It’s the DAY of the Lord.
- He comes quickly. This has nothing to do with the imminent return of Jesus Christ.
- The “Jesus can come back at any moment” statement is a lie. The return of Jesus Christ is not imminent.
- The return of Jesus Christ occurs according to the words that God has spoken.
[44] Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
- That’s the last so-called “proof Scripture” I will go over.
- Again, there is no proof of the imminent return of Jesus Christ. Yes, come soon.
- But all of these other things must be fulfilled first.
- For example, when Jesus died on the cross, He didn’t go early. He escaped death many times.
- He finished all the things that He needed to finish FIRST.
- When it was His time, the exact time according to the Scriptures, then He went to the cross.
- They didn’t take Him and force Him to die on the cross. He went when it was time. Read about it.
What signs should you be watching for? We’ve been over these many times.
- Read Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21.
- Read the Book of Revelation and match it up with those chapters.
- You will find that these things I will list out must happen before Jesus can come back.
The tribulation must begin. Satan is cast out of heaven. Seal 1. The daily sacrifice must begin again.
- Seal 2, Seal 3, Seal 4, Seal 5. The antichrist dies and is healed. The false prophet helps the antichrist.
- The abomination of desolation happens. The mark of the beast is given.
- Tribulation turns into great tribulation. The two witnesses come to preach on earth.
- The tribulation ends. Seal 6 happens. The sun and moon are darkened. Stars fall from heaven.
- The 144,000 are sealed in heaven. THEN, Jesus comes back in the clouds.
Since all of those things haven’t happened and they take years, I know Jesus isn’t coming back tonight.
- I know He isn’t coming back tomorrow, the next day, or even next week.
- When I see all of those things happening because I am watching, THEN I will know it’s getting near.
- Then, I will know when to look up. And again, I will never predict the day and time because I don’t know.
- God didn’t list it out in the Scriptures. But He told me exactly what to look for IN ORDER.
- So, can Jesus come back at any moment? NO. He said so.
Let’s pray.
