Women Shouldn’t Lead In Church

Have you ever been to a church that has a woman as the pastor or as one of the pastors? Is this wrong?

Yes, it is clearly wrong for a woman to be a leader of a church if that church professes to follow the Bible.

If the church wants to be a Christian church, they should follow the rules set forth by God in his Bible.

Why Women Shouldn’t Be Pastors or Bishops

God never says that men are better than women or that women are better than men. But God tell us who he wants leading his churches.

Why is it wrong to have a woman pastor? Does the Bible really say anything against it?

YES! 100 percent for sure it s wrong for a woman to be a pastor! That’s not my opinion. This is God’s word.

1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

The bible says “the husband of one wife”. This means a bishop must be a man. A husband = man or male. A wife = woman or female.

Biblical marriage is between one male and one female. Not two males or two females.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

So we know that God is saying that a bishop in the church MUST be a male or a man. There is no doubt AT ALL about that.

What About The Office Of A Deacon?

We see in 1 Timothy 3:12 that a deacon should be “the husband of one wife.”

1 Timothy 3:12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

Can a woman be a deacon after reading that verse? I can easily see that deacons must be male. They must be the husbands of one wife.

If they have had more than one wife, they can’t be a deacon. This is very clear in the Bible.

But some people try to twist the word of God so they can make it say what they want it to say. You don’t get to change God’s word because you don’t like his rules.

What About Women Teaching In The Church?

Only men can teach and preach in God’s church according to the Bible.

Here is another verse in the New Testament found in 1 Corinthians 14:34.

1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

Again, the Bible is very clear but within our mind it must be okay for women to teach in churches. But God says, “Let your women keep silence in the churches.” This is related to women teaching men. According to God, this is not allowed in church.

Outside of church, women can preach to other men to win souls to Jesus Christ. God greatly approves of this, but he doesn’t want women teaching in the churches.

And no, we aren’t commanded to have Sunday School in church. Church isn’t dividing everyone up into different classes with different people teaching others. Sunday School is where I learned many incorrect things. I learned many things that were different from my Bible.

This decreases faith in children. Sunday school is not a commandment from God. Church is, though, and men should be teaching.

Phebe Didn’t Hold The Church Office Of Deacon

Some people say women can lead in churches and be deaconesses because they attempt to prove that Phebe was a deaconess.

Now watch and see if this next verse says Phebe was leading in the church. Does it say she was a deaconess? Or, holding the office of deacon within the church?

The previous verses we were looking at were directly talking about the office of a deacon within the church. This next verse isn’t talking about the office of a deacon.

Romans 16:1 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

Well, I’m sorry but I don’t see the office of a deacon being talked about anywhere in that verse. Literally, it’s not there at all. I see a servant and not a leader in the church.

Yes, deacons are servants and pastors are servants too. But they are the leaders of the church.

So these “amazingly smart” Bible scholars say:

“If you go back to the Greek, the word servant is diakonos or deaconess.” They’ll say that this proves women can be leaders within the church and hold the office of deacon.

These Bible scholars fit this Scripture perfectly:

Romans 1:22-23 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

The King James Bible Translated the Word Diakonos Perfectly

We speak English and not Greek. Diakonos is NOT deaconess as the office of a deacon. They don’t have the same meaning.

God made it clear that the leadership positions in the church must be men.

Diakonos is the Greek word for servant, and it does not mean leader or deaconess. They make absolutely no sense at ALL. They also don’t believe the words in the Bible just like Jesus Christ says:

John 8:47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

The reason why I say they don’t believe in the words in the Bible is that we speak English NOT Greek.

The Bible scholars and others in churches today always attempt to “go back to the Greek” to make something say what they want it to say.

Here’s a verse that uses that same word “diakonos” in the Greek. Watch what this says:

Matthew 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The underlying Greek word for “servants” in that verse is “diakonos.” It’s clearly not talking about the office of a deacon in that verse.

Yes, the context of each verse is very important to translate diakonos correctly. Clearly, according to the rest of the Bible, Phebe cannot be in the office of a deacon because she is a woman.

That’s why the King James Bible translates the word to servant.

You Must Look At What The Bible Teaches To Get Everything Right

You cannot pick and choose what you want. You MUST take the entire Bible and see what it says. We cannot ignore certain Scripture because it doesn’t say what we want it to say.

Let’s see what the Bible says in 1 Timothy 2:12.

1 Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

People say as long as there is a man in an office of the church above the woman that it’s totally fine.

NO! It’s not totally fine. God says so over and over again.

If a woman gets behind the pulpit to preach, she is usurping authority over all of the men she is teaching! Yes, she is teaching. The Bible clearly says, “I suffer NOT a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”

This is so simple to understand, but the people that argue against God’s clear words fit into the category of John 8:47 once again!

John 8:47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

I hope this has helped you understand that women should NOT lead in the church. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks because this is what God says. And I’m not going to try to change what God says.
