🛑 Women Shouldn’t Lead in Church – A Biblical Perspective
✝️ Should Women Be Pastors or Leaders in the Church?
đź“Ś Have you ever attended a church where a woman serves as the pastor or one of the church leaders? Is this biblically correct?
✅ The answer is no—it is clearly unbiblical for a woman to lead a church if that church professes to follow the Bible’s teachings.
💡 A truly Christian church must adhere to God’s commands as set forth in Scripture.
📖 Why Women Shouldn’t Be Pastors or Bishops
🔹 God does not declare men superior to women or vice versa. However, He does specify who should lead His church.
âť“ Does the Bible actually prohibit women from becoming pastors? Yes!
đź“ś 1 Timothy 3:2 (KJV)
“A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;”
✅ The Bible states, “the husband of one wife.” This means that a bishop (pastor) must be a man. A husband is male; a wife is female. There is no ambiguity here.
🏛️ Can Women Be Deacons?
âť“ Another question often raised is whether women can serve as deacons.
đź“ś 1 Timothy 3:12 (KJV)
“Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.”
🛑 Can a woman be a deacon based on this verse? No. Deacons must also be men, just like bishops.
⚠️ God’s Word is crystal clear. Yet, some people attempt to twist Scripture to suit their preferences.
🎤 Can Women Teach in Church?
📌 According to the Bible, only men can teach and preach in God’s church.
đź“ś 1 Corinthians 14:34 (KJV)
“Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.”
❗ Some argue that this doesn’t apply today. However, God’s Word does not change.
đź’ˇ While women can share the Gospel outside the church, they are not permitted to hold leadership positions within the church.
🔍 What About Phebe? Was She a Deaconess?
đź“Ś Many claim that Phebe was a deaconess in the church, proving women can be leaders.
đź“ś Romans 16:1 (KJV)
“I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:”
🛑 The Bible never states that Phebe held the office of a deacon. The word diakonos in Greek means servant, not necessarily a church office. Context is crucial.
📖 Understanding the Bible’s Teachings on Church Leadership
âś… Many people pick and choose verses to fit their own interpretations. However, we must consider all of Scripture.
đź“ś 1 Timothy 2:12 (KJV)
“But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”
⚠️ Some argue that as long as a male authority oversees the woman, it is acceptable. However, this contradicts Scripture.
🛑 When a woman preaches from the pulpit, she is taking authority over men, which God prohibits.
đź“ś John 8:47 (KJV)
“He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.”
🎯 Conclusion: Women Should Not Lead in Church
✅ The Bible is clear—church leadership roles, including pastors and deacons, are reserved for men.
📌 Regardless of personal opinions, we must stand by God’s Word. Scripture does not change based on culture or modern preferences.
💡 A true Christian church will follow God’s commandments—not man’s opinions. 🙏
