Will I Stand Before God One Day?

🎥 Baptist Bold: Ask a Pastor

📅 Episode 21 – Sunday: Simple Faith
Question: “Will I Stand Before God One Day?”

🎬 Intro Script:

Welcome to Baptist Bold: Ask a Pastor—where truth isn’t filtered, and the Bible has the final word. I’m Pastor Joshua Tapp from True Words Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Let’s get into today’s question…

📖 Answer:

The short answer? Yes. You absolutely will.

Saved or lost—every single person who has ever lived will stand before the living God.
And that moment will define your eternity.

1. The Saved Will Stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ

📖 2 Corinthians 5:10“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ…”

This is not about salvation—it’s about reward and accountability.

Every believer will give account of:

  • Their works
  • Their words
  • Their walk
  • Their motive

This is where crowns are given—or lost.
It’s a serious moment, even for the saved.

📖 Romans 14:12“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”

2. The Lost Will Stand at the Great White Throne

📖 Revelation 20:11–12“…I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God…”

This is terrifying.

At this judgment, every lost soul will be judged by their works—
And condemned by their unbelief.

📖 Revelation 20:15“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

There will be no excuses.
No second chances.
No appeal.

Only justice.

3. You Can’t Escape It—You Can Only Prepare

📖 Hebrews 9:27“…it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

Death is certain.
Judgment is next.

You won’t be judged by comparison.
Not by your feelings.
Not by culture.
But by God’s truth.

4. What You Do with Jesus Determines Everything

📖 John 3:18“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already…”

You won’t stand before God and plead your case.
Your eternity is already sealed by what you did with Jesus in this life.

Believed = saved.
Rejected = condemned.

5. For the Believer—It’s Not a Day to Fear, But to Live For

📖 1 John 4:17“…that we may have boldness in the day of judgment…”

If you’re saved, judgment isn’t something to dread—it’s a day to look forward to with boldness.

But if you’re lost—it’s a day of terror.
And you need to repent and believe the Gospel now.

🎯 Bottom Line:

You will stand before God.

You won’t be able to lie.
You won’t be able to hide.
You won’t be able to run.

📖 Philippians 2:10–11“…every knee should bow… and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord…”

The only question is:
Will you bow in faith today—or in fear too late?
