Introduction
I’m Pastor Joshua Tapp from True Words Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky — and this is Soul Winning Secrets. From the Scriptures to the streets — we live soul winning. Let’s go fishing for men.
The False Assurance Trap
You’re soul winning. You approach someone. And they cut you off:
“Oh, I’m already saved.”
It sounds good. But not everyone who claims salvation truly has it.
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven…” — Matthew 7:21
Jesus said there will be many who think they’re saved — and aren’t.
Ask the Right Questions
Don’t be rude. Don’t argue. But don’t walk away either.
Ask:
- “That’s great — what do you believe someone has to do to be saved?”
- “If God asked, ‘Why should I let you into Heaven?’ — what would you say?”
If their answer includes works, church, baptism, or behavior — they’re not trusting Christ alone.
Share the Real Gospel
Be kind but clear:
“I’m glad you have faith — but let me show you how simple salvation really is…”
Use:
- Romans 3:23 – All have sinned
- Romans 6:23 – Sin brings death
- Romans 5:8 – Christ died for us
- Acts 16:31 – Believe on Jesus
- John 10:28 – Salvation is eternal
Soul Winning Secret
“A false profession is the hardest stronghold — and the most urgent to confront.”
They’re not far from the truth — and that’s what makes it so critical.
Final Challenge
Don’t assume someone’s saved just because they say it. Test the spirits. Ask questions. Speak the truth. You might be their last chance to hear the real Gospel.
Outro
We’ve seen souls saved week after week — and you can too. Don’t just watch — go fishing. Let’s win the world to Christ, one soul at a time.
