📅 Episode 2 – Tuesday: Tough Topics
Question: “What Does the Bible Really Say About Homosexuality?”
🎬 Intro Script:
Welcome to Baptist Bold: Ask a Pastor—where truth isn’t filtered, and the Bible has the final word. I’m Pastor Joshua Tapp from True Words Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Let’s get into today’s question…
📖 Answer:
You won’t hear this in most churches—but the Bible is crystal clear about homosexuality. The world says it’s love. God says it’s an abomination that can lead to reprobation and rejection.
1. God Calls Homosexuality an Abomination
📖 Leviticus 18:22 — “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”
📖 Romans 1:26–27 —
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections… men with men working that which is unseemly…”
It’s not just sinful—it’s vile. It goes against nature, against design, and against the Creator.
2. Homosexual Lust Leads to Reprobation
📖 Romans 1:28 — “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind…”
Men lusting after men is a sign that God has given them up.
📖 Romans 1:24, 26, 28 — “God gave them up… God gave them up… God gave them over…”
That’s not a process—it’s a divine judgment.
3. Reprobates Cannot Be Saved
📖 2 Timothy 3:8 — “…reprobate concerning the faith.”
📖 Jeremiah 6:30 — “Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the Lord hath rejected them.”
There’s a line where God stops drawing. If a man burns with lust toward other men, the Bible says he’s already been rejected.
4. Deceived People Can Still Be Saved
Not everyone claiming to be “gay” is reprobate. Some are confused, abused, or deceived—but still reachable.
📖 1 Corinthians 6:11 — “…and such were some of you…”
These weren’t men lusting after men—they were people who had been deceived by the lifestyle, not yet given up by God.
The Gospel is for the lost—not the rejected. And salvation is still by grace through faith alone—not turning from sin.
5. God Does Hate the Wicked
📖 Psalm 5:5 — “Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.”
📖 Psalm 11:5 — “…the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.”
📖 Hosea 9:15 — “I will love them no more.”
God’s love isn’t unconditional. There’s a line where His mercy ends and His wrath begins.
🎯 Bottom Line:
Homosexuality is a sin that can lead to reprobation. Men who lust after men have been given up by God and cannot be saved.
But those who have been deceived by sin and haven’t crossed the line—they can still be saved by believing the Gospel.
Salvation isn’t about turning from sin. It’s about believing on Jesus Christ before it’s too late.
