Hello to all,
I wanted to give you some updates. We’ve all been working hard since we moved to Sure Foundation Baptist Church in Vancouver, Washington.
And yes, I have been busier than ever before and have driven more in the past 4 months than I have in a couple of years or more.
Soul Winning Updates and Results
I’ve been going soul winning from 4 to 6 times per week or about 10 to 20 hours per week since we’ve been here. This is one of the reasons I moved here.
There’s always someone here in the church who wants to go out soul winning. Sure Foundation Baptist Church, just in Vancouver, has 5 of 7 days scheduled for soul winning! I love this. We have the following soul winning days:
- Sunday in Vancouver, WA – Brother Sean C
- Tuesday in Battle Ground, WA – Brother Josh Tapp
- Thursday in Vancouver, WA – Brother Robert A
- Friday in Gresham, OR – Brother Sean H
- Friday in Kelso or Longview, WA – Brother Ramon V
- Saturday in Vancouver, WA – Brother Brandon D
If you go to the other church plants, there are additional soul winning opportunities there. For example, Sure Foundation Baptist Church Seattle plant, has 3 soul winning days already in their schedule.
Every person should do a minimum of one soul winning session per week. And don’t skip it. And don’t minimize it. More is better! The best thing you can do for your family is to move to a soul winning church. Come on up here to Vancouver, WA. You will love the church.
Soul winning does special things for you and your family. You learn the love of Jesus Christ.
Since we’ve moved to Vancouver, Washington we’ve been able to win 46 souls to Christ as a family (in person door to door soul winning since 3/23/23). I’ll go ahead and tell you that my personal goal in this area is 10 souls per month or 2 to 3 per week. I tell you these things to encourage you, motivate you, and get you to set similar goals. I want my personal family to win over 100 souls per year to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Vancouver, WA is a difficult location to win souls, but our church gets it done anyway. Battle Ground, Gresham, Kelso, and Longview are much more receptive. God put us here to win souls, and we’ll get it done for Him. All glory to the Lord God Almighty!
Other Updates
We’ve also been traveling to the different church plants to assist them in getting started, preaching, working on setting up live streams, mother baby rooms, and more.
We just attended the Red Hot Preaching Conference in Sacramento, California at Verity Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Jimenez. That was a great time and very hot. Went soul winning Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The hottest day was 109 F. I am not accustomed to soul winning in a suit at 109 F. Got a little hot! That’s why they call it the Red Hot Preaching Conference I guess.
The preaching was great, and we were able to see the new movie release: LGBT Terrorists. It was also a great movie.
I am currently working on an intro video for Bible Believers Baptist Church. And I’ll be going early one weekend to install the camera in a different location, run wires, setup mother/baby room and some other things.

I will be preaching at Sure Foundation Baptist Church in Vancouver, Washington this Thursday 8/3/23. I have a minor medical procedure (prayers please) earlier that day that I hope will not affect the preaching that night. That day will also be our (Pam and I) 21st wedding anniversary.
