If you think the God of the Old Testament has changed, then you need to read this today.
The Old Covenant was broken by the children of Israel. God didn’t break the Old Covenant. The children of Israel broke that covenant.
Exodus 19:5-8 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him. And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.
Notice the condition that God sets in this covenant. He says, “IF YOU OBEY AND KEEP MY COVENANT THEN YE SHALL BE A TREASURE TO ME ABOVE ALL PEOPLE.”
This is a covenant or a contract that was broken by the children of Israel.
Hebrews 8:9-13 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
So, there is a NEW COVENANT in the New Testament. The old covenant has passed.
But this sure doesn’t mean God’s nature has changed. God doesn’t change.
If God wants a law or His commandments to change, He lets us know in the Bible.
I’ve heard in churches all my life that the God of the New Testament is a God of love now. He was a God of wrath in the Old Testament. That’s one of the biggest lies in this world today that’s sending people to hell.
God doesn’t change. He was a God of love in the Old Testament, and He is a God of love in the New Testament. He was a God of wrath in the Old Testament, and He’s a God of wrath right now.
GOD’S NATURE DOESN’T CHANGE.
If you think He has changed, then you don’t understand God. He’s eternally perfect. He doesn’t need to change. The new covenant isn’t a result of Him changing. It’s our problem. It’s our issues. We’re the ones that need to change. He doesn’t.
Jesus is the Son of God and is God. He doesn’t change. Jesus has been there for eternity.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Did you know that much of the New Testament quotes the Old Testament?
False preachers will teach others that NOW we’re supposed to love everyone no matter what BECAUSE God has changed to a God of love in the New Testament. That’s a lie straight from the pits of hell.
God doesn’t accept everyone and everything no matter what they do.
The Bible tells us we MUST believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. That’s the only requirement to be saved. If people don’t do that, to hell they will go. That’s what the Bible says.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Hey, look! That’s the New Testament in the Book of John! It talks about God’s wrath abiding on all those who won’t believe on Jesus Christ.
If you want to be accepted by God, you better take His way and stop listening to the world, the false preachers, and the false churches. They have no power over death and hell. God does, though!
Don’t fall for the false teaching that God is different now.
Do you see the effect this has on people? They are talked into believing that God would never send them to hell no matter what they do. They can be and do whatever they want.
Wrong. You must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. Once you do, you’ll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then, the Holy Spirit will teach you all things. And you’re saved once and for all.
You’re NOW a child of God and be careful because God is a good Father. He will punish His children if they don’t follow His commandments. You can do what you want because you’re saved, but don’t think God won’t punish you.
He has ALL POWER. He can get you fired, give you sickness, take all your money, and make your life a living hell on this Earth. He says so. But know that He’s doing it to bring you back to Him just as a good Dad does for his children. He’s doing it for your own good.
If you never believe, you won’t be saved. Don’t, under any circumstances, let anyone tell you different.

God knew that people couldn’t keep the covenant. We see the proof of that throughout the Bible. We couldn’t have kept it either. None of us are good the Bible says.
If we weren’t saved by grace through faith, we wouldn’t ever be saved. God gave us the only way to be saved. And it’s easy. All you have to do is change your mind and believe what He says.
