The City of Jerusalem Is Not The Holy Land

I want you to see that city of Jerusalem is not the holy land as many or even most Christians believe it to be.

We, as Christians, must trust the Scriptures and what they tell us about the earthly city of Jerusalem. We must also use common sense and reality of what is actually happening in that city.

Is any city or place here on earth going to be holy spiritually? Or, have we, as humans, corrupted the land? Where would the holy land actually be?

The Bible will give us the answers to these questions.

Is The City Of Jerusalem In Bondage or Free?

The religion of Judaism is the religion of the city of Jerusalem. Is the religion of Judaism a false religion? They hate Jesus Christ.

They deny that Jesus Christ is the Messiah or the Savior of the world. Judaism does not believe that Jesus died for them, was buried, and arose again. They do not believe that the blood of Jesus Christ saves them from sin.

1 John 2:22-25 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. 24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

According to God, anyone who denies Jesus Christ as the Savior, is antichrist. This makes the religion of Judaism and the city of Jerusalem a place where a false god is worshipped.

The religion of Judaism worships a god that does not exist. The only true God is the God of the Bible.

This means the city of Jerusalem is in bondage right now. They are not free in Jesus Christ. They are attempting to work their way to heaven with their good works and will not trust in Jesus alone and His work for salvation.

The Scriptures Directly Say That Jerusalem Is In Bondage

The false religion of Judaism is placing people under the law. But, they clearly aren’t following the entire law of Moses. They’ve made up their own rules that clearly do not match with the Bible.

If Jesus is not their Passover lamb, they should continue to follow all of the offerings and animal sacrifices within the Bible. This is just one example. We do not offer animal sacrifices because we are free from that because Jesus fulfilled that law and is our Passover lamb.

If you don’t yet believe what I’m saying, maybe the next Scriptures will help. Please read these carefully and understand.

Galatians 4:20-26 I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you. 21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? 22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. 24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. 26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

The Scriptures clearly say that the city of Jerusalem is in bondage with her children. They are attempting to be saved by works. Works have never saved anyone.

Works didn’t save Abraham. He was saved by grace through faith. Moses wasn’t saved by works. He was saved by grace through faith. The Bible clearly teaches this.

Since Jerusalem won’t believe on Jesus Christ, they are under bondage. They cannot be saved unless they believe on Jesus Christ the Son of God to save them. They must turn from their false religion, leave the bondage behind, and become free.

The Holy Jerusalem Isn’t Located On Earth Right Now

The Bible clearly tells us that the Jerusalem above, in heaven, is free. That Jerusalem, in heaven, is the mother of all who believe on Jesus Christ.

The holy land is heavenly Jerusalem.

If you trust in the holy Scriptures, then you’ll know what I’m telling you is the truth. God’s words are true. They are easy and simple to understand if you would simply trust in His words.

The current city of Jerusalem represents bondage, false religion, false gods, and a false way of salvation.

Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

The Bible clearly says that the name of the city of MY GOD is new Jerusalem which comes down out of heaven.

God never says that the current city of Jerusalem is His city or His holy land at this time.

The Bible calls Jerusalem the holy city, at times, because it should have been. It once was. Jesus Christ died there.

It’s not any more. Obviously. They hate Him. They reject Him and His Son. If you reject the Son, you reject the Father because they are the one true God. You can’t have one without the other.

Physically, the land is the holy land, but this doesn’t mean that it is a good place right now. It doesn’t mean the religion of Judaism is good and righteous. It’s not. Don’t allow people to confuse you.

God Tells Us With His Own Words That His City Is Heavenly Jerusalem

There is no spiritual holy city on this earth. This earth is fleshly and not spiritual. Is there any city that could be considered holy to God? If there were, God could live here with us. But there’s not.

It’s definitely not the current city of Jerusalem. If you think so, you need to wake up to reality. Take a look. False religion. They hate Jesus Christ. Ask them. If they are truthful, they will tell you they hate Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 12:22-24 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

The city of the living God is the heavenly Jerusalem. The Scriptures say these things to you directly. Will you trust what God says? Or, will you trust false preachers who continuously say that the current Jerusalem is the holy land?

Wake up, hear the Scriptures, see the Scriptures. Don’t be deceived.

The Bible Calls The Current City of Jerusalem Spiritually Sodom and Egypt

This is the last point I will make here about the current city of Jerusalem. If I haven’t yet changed your mind, I am hoping this will do it.

See these Scriptures. These are holy Scriptures from the mouth of God Almighty who created everything. He cannot lie to you. See these closely.

Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

What is the great city that is mentioned here? This great city is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt. In other words, false gods are worshipped there in that city. Wickedness is rampant in that great city.

For some reason, people have issues understanding what great city this is referring to. But, it’s easy. Take a look at the end of the verse. “Where also our Lord was crucified.”

The city being referred to in the Scriptures is the city in which Jesus Christ was crucified. He was crucified in Golgotha or Calvary. Right? This location is within Jerusalem. He was crucified there.

God says that the current Jerusalem is spiritually Sodom and Egypt. Does He not?

If God says this, will you disagree with Him? Will you act as if Jerusalem with its false religion of Judaism is so great? This is what false “Christian” preachers are doing all over this world today.

Please Don’t Ignore The Scriptures As They Are The Word of God

Don’t ignore the Scriptures. God is very clear. The current city of Jerusalem is not the spiritual holy city. It is not good. It’s filled with people who hate Jesus Christ.

They killed Him once, and they say they would kill Him again if they had the chance. But, they don’t realize that He isn’t dead.

Revelation 1:17-18 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Jesus Christ is the Almighty God. He is the Son of God. He is the first and the last. Believe what He says. He has the keys of hell and of death.

This means that you must go through Him to receive everlasting life. There is no other way. He is the way, the truth, and the life. There no other way to make it to heaven but through Him alone. Salvation is through Jesus Christ ALONE.

My prayer is that people who are in the false religion of Judaism will wake up and be saved by Jesus Christ. I hope and pray that “Christians” will wake up, hear the words of the Bible, and stop being deceived by false preachers.

See Things In A Spiritual Light And Not A Fleshly Light

The holy land is the heavenly Jerusalem. Begin to see things in a spiritual light, and you’ll see this. In the end, the truly holy city of heavenly Jerusalem will come down out of heaven. God will dwell with us. That only happens once there is no sin in existence. This only happens after everyone is in a new body without sin.

Revelation 21:1-5 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

There will be no more tears in the new Jerusalem, the actual holy city, because sin never enters into the holy city of new Jerusalem.

Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Now that’s a truly HOLY CITY right there! A holy city in the spiritual sense does not have any sin. This is why you must know that the current Jerusalem is not the holy land. The holy land is actually in heaven right now where God is located. HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is cried out in heaven!
