[2] The title of the sermon: “THE CATHOLIC VIRGIN MARY.”

  • The Catholic false church believes that Mary was immaculately conceived.
  • What does this mean? They believe that she is perfect and free from sin from birth.
  • The Catholic church believes she never made one mistake.
  • Here’s a quote: “Mary never had sin, even for a second. From the very moment of her existence, Mary was completely preserved from sin and this never knew or cooperated with sin her entire life.”

[3] Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

[4] Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

  • In other words, the Catholic church believes Mary is God. Good is perfect and without sin.
  • Mary did not come forth from God. Mary was a human just as we are human.
  • And if you don’t agree with the Catholic church, they call you a heretic. But who are the heretics?
  • Who ignores the perfect word of God? Who ignores the Gospel of Matthew and Mark?

They make up things that aren’t in the word of God. Since Jesus was perfect, they figure Mary must be perfect.

  • Jesus was conceived of the Holy Ghost so they figure, in man’s wisdom, that Mary must be perfect too.
  • Since Jesus is without sin, they figure Mary must be without sin too or Jesus wouldn’t have been perfect.
  • But the answer to that is simple. Jesus is God. He never sinned even though He came in this same flesh.
  • Mary is not God. Mary was not conceived of the Holy Ghost.
  • There’s only one conceived of the Holy Ghost and that one is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Here’s another quote from the Apostolic Constitution by Pope Pius IX on the immaculate conception of Mary:

[5] “Above all creatures did God so loved her that truly in her was the Father well pleased with singular delight. Therefore, far above all the angels and all the saints so wondrously did God endow her with the abundance of all heavenly gifts poured from the treasury of his divinity that this mother, ever absolutely free of all stain of sin, all fair and perfect, would possess that fullness of holy innocence and sanctity than which, under God, one cannot even imagine anything greater, and which, outside of God, no mind can succeed in comprehending fully.”

  • As you can see, the Catholic church lifts Mary up on a pedestal to be equal with God.
  • To them, she is far above all the angels and all the saints. She is fair and perfect to them.
  • She has always been holy. So now you can see why they pray and worship Mary. They believe this.
  • But none of this is in the Bible AT ALL. Not even one time does the Bible say Mary was perfect.
  • Mary’s immaculate conception is celebrated on December 8th of every year.

They even teach that she was taken up into heaven and never experienced any corruption of her body.

  • They say that Mary was closer to God than Elijah and Enoch so she was taken up into heaven too.
  • Though, the Bible never says anything like that once. So the Catholic church makes up fairy tales.
  • And they write about it. And their writings are higher than the Holy Scriptures.
  • They say that Mary is the queen of heaven.
  • She is entitled queen of heaven because she is the Mother of Jesus, who is truly a King of kings.

They say that she intercedes for al of God’s children.

  • The feast of Mary’s queenship is recognized on August 22nd of each year.
  • They say that Mary offers many graces and mercy to all who call upon her intercession.
  • They say that Mary must not be disregarded. They say her body has already been glorified in heaven.

So, isn’t that amazing? Nothing of what they say and teach about Mary is in the Bible. NOTHING.

  • The name Mary is in the Bible 54 times in 46 different verses.
  • And all of these aren’t referring to Mary the mother of Jesus.

[6]

  • You can see that the name Mary is mentioned only in the first 6 books of the New Testament.
  • In comparison, the name of Jesus is given 983 times in the New Testament alone.
  • David is in the Bible 1139 times. Moses is there 848 times. Judah is there 817 times.
  • Israel is given 2575 times. Christ is given 571 times. Jacob is there 377 times. Aaron is there 350 times.

Saul is there 425 times. Solomon is there 306 times. And again, Mary is there 54 times.

  • Sarah and Sarai are there 56 times, which is more than Mary. Joseph is there 250 times.
  • Joshua is there 216 times. Abram and Abraham is there 311 times.
  • But, you would think the Catholic version of Mary would be there hundreds and thousands of times.

The Catholics believe Mary to be the queen of heaven. They say that she has always been perfect.

  • What are they actually saying? If she was always perfect and without sin, she would be God.
  • But we know that there’s only one God. They deceive people into thinking Mary is God.
  • They have people praying to Mary. They have people thinking she is mediator between God and men.

[7] 1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

  • We know 100% for sure that there is only one mediator between God and men. ONE MEANS ONE.
  • Jesus is that ONE. Mary is not God. Mary was not perfect.
  • “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
  • If you believe Mary was perfect, you don’t believe God.
  • You are an idolater because you put a religion above the word of God.

Obviously, the Catholic religion teaches a different version of Mary than what the King James Bible teaches.

  • The Catholic religion has come up with this pure and perfect version of Mary.
  • They say that she was a virgin and still is a virgin, pure and perfect, without sin.
  • They say that she never defiled herself with a man so she stayed perfect.

[8] Revelation 14:3-4 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

  • Virgins are not defiled with man, male or female. “FOR THEY ARE VIRGINS.”

[9] 2 Corinthians 11:1-2 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. 2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

  • “That I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.” Listen to the very next verses, though.

[10] 2 Corinthians 11:3-4 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

  • The Gospel is simple. The Catholics preach that Mary is still a virgin because they say she is perfect.
  • Because of all the fairy tales they have added to God’s words, they are defiled.
  • They believe in another Gospel. They believe in another Mary and another Jesus.

I’ve asked Catholics to please tell me how to be saved from hell. They say, “Well, that will take a long time.”

  • They say, “Well, it’s too complicated.” No, it’s not. It’s simple and it’s easy.
  • There’s one Savior. There’s one mediator. I don’t pray to Mary. I don’t pray to Peter. I don’t pray to Paul.
  • I pray to God. When I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, I call upon Him and He saves me. ONCE.
  • He gives me everlasting life. DONE DEAL. I have a place reserved in heaven. I will never die.
  • Why? Because salvation is in Jesus Christ. I don’t need Mary to save me from anything. She can’t.

Let’s take a closer look at Mary and her life. Where did Mary come from?

  • Did she proceed forth from God? Do you remember where she came from?
  • The genealogy of Jesus Christ is given in the New Testament twice.
  • You’ll find the genealogy through Joseph and through Mary.
  • In Matthew Chapter 1, you’ll find the generation of Jesus Christ from Abraham to Joseph.
  • You’ll see that Joseph comes from the line of the kings.

[11] Matthew 1:6-7 And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias; 7 And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;

  • David is the key here. From David, we see Solomon in this generation of Jesus Christ.
  • If you continue all the way down through this generation, you’ll get to Joseph at the end.

[12] Matthew 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

  • We know Joseph came from king David through Solomon. Now we go to Luke Chapter 3.
  • In Luke Chapter 3, we’re going to see Mary’s side of the generation of Jesus Christ.
  • The genealogies are very different in Matthew Chapter 1 to Luke Chapter 3.
  • In Matthew Chapter 1, we see them listed from older Abraham to newer Joseph.

In Luke Chapter 3, we see the genealogy start with the newer and go all the way back to Adam, the son of God.

  • We know Adam was a sinner so this genealogy in Luke Chapter 3 emphasizes the humanity of Jesus.
  • He became flesh. We know Adam was a sinner. We know Mary was a sinner. Jesus was not a sinner.
  • All the men in this line of Jesus Christ were sinners. Jesus is God, though, and He overcame the flesh.

[13] Luke 3:23-24 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, 24 Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph,

  • We see that men are listed in the genealogies so you don’t see Mary listed here. We see Joseph listed.
  • But we know this is the line of Mary. We already saw the line of Joseph in Matthew Chapter 1.
  • We know both of these can’t be the line of Joseph because they are different.

Joseph had the right to be king because he came from the line of kings.

  • Jesus, being the son of Joseph (as was supposed), also had the right to be the king of the Jews.
  • Mary wasn’t in the line of the king of the Jews. Let’s see where she came from.
  • Remember, David is the key. This is where the genealogy of Joseph and Mary split.
  • We look down to verse 31 in Luke Chapter 3.

[14] Luke 3:31 Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David,

  • We see the son of David is Nathan. Mary’s line come through Nathan and not Solomon.
  • Remember, Joseph’s line comes through Solomon the son of David.
  • Mary comes through Nathan the son of David. Joseph comes through the kings and Mary does not.

[15] 1 Chronicles 3:5-9 And these were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bath-shua the daughter of Ammiel: 6 Ibhar also, and Elishama, and Eliphelet, 7 And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia, 8 And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine. 9 These were all the sons of David, beside the sons of the concubines, and Tamar their sister.

  • Solomon and Nathan were both through David and Bathsheba.
  • Joseph and Mary come from David and Bathsheba.
  • Now, were David and Bathsheba sinners? That’s one of the huge points of the entire Bible.
  • We’re all sinners. You can go all the way back to the beginner with Adam and Eve.
  • Was Adam a sinner? Of course.
  • So we go all the way to the end of Luke Chapter 3, the genealogy of Jesus Christ through Mary.

[16] Luke 3:38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

  • Adam wasn’t born of a woman. He was the son of God. Why? God created Adam directly.
  • And Eve was taken out of Adam. But did Adam still sin? Did Eve still sin? Yes they did. Why?
  • Because they aren’t God. Jesus was born of the flesh and never sinned. Why? Because He is God.

So, do you think Mary was a sinner or not? FOR ALL HAVE SINNED and come short of the glory of God.

  • Jesus doesn’t come short of the glory of God because He is God.
  • He is the only one who became flesh and didn’t sin. You can see the physical line of Mary.
  • She came from the line of David. We know what David did. He committed adultery and had Uriah killed.

MARY IS A SINNER. Mary “WAS” a virgin. Is Mary still a virgin in heaven today? Or did she have other children?

  • If she had other children, she wouldn’t be a virgin any more, right?
  • Does the Bible tell us she had other children? We can take the words of the Bible as truth or not.
  • Catholics do not take the Bible as truth. They take the wisdom of very corrupted men as truth.
  • They take the wisdom from pedophile priests as truth. WAKE UP OUT THERE.
  • If you’re Catholic and listening to this, it’s time to start trusting the word of God and not the word of man.
  • That’s exactly what Jesus said to the religious Pharisees.

[17] John 8:47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

  • Jesus Himself says, “You aren’t hearing my words.” Stop trusting the word of man.
  • Start trusting Jesus Christ. He wrote all of this Bible. Every word of God is pure and perfect.
  • Catholics believe in a pure and perfect Mary, which God never says.
  • But He does say that His words are pure and perfect. Trust His words and not Mary. She was a sinner.

[18] Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

  • Mary is not the word of God. Jesus Christ is THE WORD OF GOD. He is pure and perfect and never lies.
  • Mary herself would tell you this. Mary herself was a woman of God. She was a good woman.
  • She was not a perfect woman. She was a humble woman who loved God.

[19] Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

[20] Psalm 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

  • So, as we continue, if you were Catholic, it’s time to get out of that. God’s way is pure.
  • The Catholic religion way is false, evil, and sick. It’s not holy in any way, shape, or form.
  • God simply wants you to trust in Him and be saved right now. It is the gift of God. Not of works.
  • Jesus pleads for you to just trust Him. Let’s hear His words today. Mary had other children.
  • Jesus Christ was her firstborn Son.

[21] Matthew 1:23-25 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

  • What does verse 25 say? Remember, every word of God is pure.
  • Remember that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine
  • Profitable for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. I use these words for this reason.
  • God corrects you and I through His words. If we were wrong, we simply admit we were wrong.
  • And we start believing in the right things. We start believing in the truth.

Look closely at verse 25. “And knew her not TILL she had brought forth her firstborn son.”

  • Knew her, in the Bible, means a sexual relation with her.
  • I won’t put it up here but Genesis 4:1 says, “And Adam KNEW Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.”
  • So, according to verse 25, did Joseph know Mary after she gave birth to Jesus Christ?

The Bible is clearly telling us that Joseph knew his wife Mary sometime AFTER Jesus was born.

  • In other words, the perfect and Holy Scriptures teach us the truth. These words are a heavenly witness.
  • This is not the witness of man. Understand what you have in your hands. It is THE WORD OF GOD.
  • If you have a King James Bible, you have the word of God, in English, in your hands.

I even looked at online Catholic bibles, and they say something very similar.

  • One says, “He had no relations with her UNTIL she bore a son, and he named him Jesus.”
  • Another says, “He had not intercourse with her when she gave birth to a son; and he named him Jesus.”
  • Do you see how one Catholic Bible says one thing and another says something different?

The so-called Bibles just keep changing to whatever man thinks and not what GOD SAID.

  • The King James Bible tells you what GOD SAID, and it’s not changing.
  • The Catholic religion changes God’s words to match what they think. God did not say what they think.
  • They’ve made themselves out to be God. You don’t want to be a part of that.
  • We want to know what God actually said.

He says, “And knew her not TILL she had brought forth her FIRSTBORN son.”

  • If she had a firstborn son, she had others afterwards. The phrase “firstborn son” is in the Bible six times.
  • Every time the phrase is used, there are other sons included that were not the firstborn son.
  • In other words, the Bible is telling you twice in verse 25 that Mary did not stay a virgin.
  • Joseph knew her sometime after Jesus was born and she had other sons.
  • Now, is there other Scripture that supports this too? Yes there is.

[22] Matthew 13:53-55 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence. 54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

  • And his brethren, speaking of his physical family, JAMES, JOSES, AND SIMON, AND JUDAS?
  • This is clearly talking about the physical family of Jesus. Joseph and Mary are mentioned.
  • His brothers, physically, are mentioned right here. Joseph and Mary had other children.
  • Therefore, Mary did not stay a virgin. What’s the very next verse say?

[23] Matthew 13:56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

  • He had brothers and sisters in his physical family but Jesus was the FIRSTBORN SON.
  • The Scriptures should put an end to the Catholic version of Mary, but they just keep going.
  • And they get more and more corrupted as they keep making up fairy tales.
  • Mary WAS a virgin when Jesus was conceived.

[24] Luke 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

  • Mary WAS a virgin until sometime AFTER she gave birth to Jesus Christ.

[25] Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

  • Jesus was conceived of the Holy Ghost. MARY WAS NOT. She is not immaculate and perfect.
  • Not one person in the Bible feel down and worshipped Mary or even prayed to Mary. NOT ONE EXAMPLE.

[26] Matthew 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

  • The wise men fell down and worshipped the young child, JESUS. Not Mary.

[27] Mark 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.

  • Double proof that Mary had other sons and daughters too.
  • Did Jesus love His mother, Mary, greatly? Yes He did. Mary watched Jesus die on the cross.

[28] John 19:25-27 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! 27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

  • Imagine that. Jesus loved Mary so much that He told the apostle John to take care of her.
  • But Jesus called her Woman. He never called her perfect or worshipped her. But He loved her.
  • She loved Jesus Christ greatly and Mary is in heaven. But she isn’t the queen of heaven.
  • The first Catholics are seen in the Bible in Jeremiah Chapter 7. And they made God angry.
  • They worship another God. You don’t want to be a part of that.

[29] Jeremiah 7:17-19 Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? 18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. 19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?

  • Don’t be confused by the Catholic false religion. Mary was just a woman. She was human just as you and I.
  • She needed Jesus Christ for salvation just as we need Jesus Christ for salvation.
  • Yes, God chose her to be the mother of Jesus Christ but YET, Jesus has no mother.
  • Jesus says, “Before Abraham was, I AM.” Jesus didn’t start to exist when He was born of Mary.

[30] Luke 1:27-28 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

  • Mary was blessed among women. Of course she was. She was the mother of Jesus Christ.
  • She was highly favored. But she wasn’t perfect. There are many others blessed and highly favored too.
  • This doesn’t make her the queen of heaven.

[31] Judges 5:24 Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

  • Jael smote Sisera. She smote off his head. The Bible even says, “In the days of Jael.”
  • “Blessed above women shall Jael be.” Did that make her perfect? No. She was a sinner too just as Mary.
  • Don’t allow people to deceive you with lying words. Get a King James Bible and learn the truth.
  • Trust the word of God. Stop trusting in other things.

[32] Mark 7:8-9 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

[33] Mark 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

  • Don’t do this as a Catholic. And yes, this is exactly what they do. STOP NOW.
  • Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved right now. It is the gift of God. Not of works.
  • To end, understand that the Catholic virgin Mary is a fairy tale. It’s all a lie. It’s easy to see this.
  • The real Mary and the truth about her is found in the words of the Bible.
  • “Thy word is truth. They word is very pure.” This is why we love the word of God. We find truth.
  • The truth will set you free. It’s time to come out of the bondage of the Catholic false religion.

Let’s pray.
