[2] The title of the sermon today is “RULING YOUR HOUSE WELL.”

Who Are The Leaders Of The Home?

  • We’re going to talk about the leaders of the home today.
  • We’re going to find out how the leaders of the homes should rule their homes well.
  • Who is God’s chosen ruler for each home? Is it the husband, wife, or children?
  • Children would love to rule the homes, right? Wouldn’t you children love to rule the home?
  • Let’s think about what it would be like for the children to rule the home.
  • And yes, to us this might be funny, but children are ruling their homes all over this country.
  • All they have to do is throw a little baby fit and they get whatever they want.

If the children were ruling, we would have candy for every meal as the main course.

  • The main course would be followed with ice cream. All of our teeth would fall out after a couple of weeks.
  • We would get sick really fast. We would only have so-called “fun” all the time.
  • Parties every day with cake. Celebrations non-stop. Sounds fun, right?
  • But we’d get kicked out of our home really soon because no one would be working.
  • We wouldn’t have water or electric or internet because the kids wouldn’t pay the bills.
  • The kids would be angry because the WIFI got turned off.
  • Without WIFI, children today think it’s the apocalypse.
  • So, it would turn out very badly but it would be fun for a very short time.

Who is God’s chosen rulers for each and every home? NEWS FLASH. It’s not children. It’s not women.

  • Who should lead their homes? Let’s take a look at the Scriptures. Look, this is very important to know.
  • Everyone needs to know this and follow this because God sets the rules.
  • You might not like His rules, but get over it and simply do what He says. Why?
  • Because everything will work out better when you do what He says.
  • All things work together for good when we love God and follow His commandments.

[3] Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

  • This verse is not a popular verse in this world today. The churches won’t preach anything like this.
  • Why? God commands these things. These are HIS WORDS. But churches don’t like them.
  • The ungodly women in the false churches hate God’s words, and they don’t want to live by His words.
  • But, what does this Scripture say right here?
  • “Unto the woman he said, thy desire shall be to thy husband.” Now don’t pass out here when I say this.
  • “AND HE SHALL RULE OVER THEE.” Wives, you desire your husband and he shall rule over thee.
  • That’s a command from God Almighty and He hasn’t changed that command. It’s valid today.

Godly women want a man who is strong, powerful, and a great leader for them. They desire a Godly man.

  • They want a man who follows God no matter what. They want a man who will lead their homes well.
  • They want a man who will rule over them and show them the right ways.
  • They need a ruler who teaches them the Scriptures.
  • The children in the home need their Dad to rule over them. “Hey, we aren’t having candy every meal.”
  • “Hey, children, you will do what your mother tells you to do. HER AND I ARE ONE.”
  • “And if you don’t like that, children, TRY ME. Let’s see what happens. I WIN EVERY TIME.”
  • Do you know why? Because I’m bigger. I’m stronger. And you will do what I say.
  • And if not, get ready for the beating.

[4] Proverbs 23:12-14 Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge. 13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. 14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

  • Yes, that Scripture applies today. My children know and understand that I will spank them.
  • I will beat them with the rod. They shall not die. I will deliver their soul from hell through correction.
  • I don’t have to beat my children often. Usually, there’s months between a spanking.
  • BUT I WILL DO IT QUICKLY AND EXACTLY AT THE TIME NEEDED. Don’t test me.
  • And I don’t care how old they are. If they are in my house, they’ll get it.

Talk back to my wife, children, and her bodyguard is right here in a split second. I am the enforcer.

  • Mess with her, and you mess with me. When my wife tells my children to do something, they better do it.
  • And they better do it fast too. So, the husband is there to lead the home. THE MAN IS THE LEADER.
  • And Godly wives and women want this. They will support their leader and make his job easier.
  • A good wife will not fight against her husband who is doing right.
  • Now, if he’s doing wrong, she needs to let him know and a good husband will correct his actions.
  • Men, we must stand up right now and be the leaders of our homes. We must rule our homes well.
  • Ruling well is ruling according to God’s words.

[5] 1 Corinthians 11:1-3 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. 3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

  • The head of every man is Christ. We, as men, don’t rule the world. We have a leader that we must follow.
  • We have a head and OUR HEAD is Jesus Christ the Almighty King of all creation, the Son of God.
  • All things were created through Him and for Him. MY HEAD, MY LEADER, MY RULER is Jesus Christ.
  • A good man who rules his house well will allow Jesus Christ to lead. He won’t make up his own way.

“The head of the woman is the man.” This is what God says. Many women don’t want to hear this.

  • But you know what? I DON’T CARE!!! I could care less what women want to hear.
  • I am not here to tickle the ears of women and make them think how great I am.
  • I am here for God and to preach His words and His commands. If you don’t like it, you have the problem.
  • Let me say this again: “THE HEAD OF THE WOMAN IS THE MAN.” Wives, please understand this.
  • No matter what you do, YOUR HUSBAND in your head so go ahead and give into that.

I am for women GREATLY. I love Godly women, and we have many here in this church.

  • If you don’t think so, go talk to them.
  • I’ll guarantee you we have more Godly women in this very small church than MEGA CHURCHES.
  • And I am not exaggerating one bit. These women here love God, and I thank God for them.
  • God created women, and He loves them greatly. We don’t put women down here.
  • We don’t lower them. They aren’t less than the man, but God gives us rules to follow.
  • And God made man to be the head of the woman. HE DID IT. HE SAID IT. It’s done. Get over it.

The Woman Is The Glory Of The Man

[6] 1 Corinthians 11:7-8 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. 8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

  • Women, you came from men. You were taken out of man. THE WOMAN IS THE GLORY OF THE MAN.
  • Don’t you want to be a glorious woman. For example, my wife is my glory. She is an amazing woman.
  • She does so much and works extremely hard each and every day.
  • If you don’t think so, come work with her. When I first saw her, I was like “WOW.”
  • She was working at McDonald’s and she worked harder than anyone else there. No contest.
  • She worked her way up to manager and did very well because she was such an amazing worker.
  • And that’s just one reason I said “WOW.” She’s going to be my wife. And it happened.
  • Since 16 years old, we’ve been together. I know her very well. She’s been my helper through everything.
  • I would give my life for her because she is MY GLORY. The woman is the glory of the man.

[7] 1 Corinthians 11:9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

  • Let’s understand this today. The woman was created for the man. Not the other way around.
  • I’m not here to be in subjection to my wife and have her to rule over me. I’m not. That’s not my job.
  • What is the purpose of women in the Bible? God tells us.

[8] Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

  • It’s not good that the man should be alone. So God makes an HELP MEET for him.
  • The woman was made to be a help meet for the man. My wife is my helper. She is not my leader.
  • She is my helper. She doesn’t write out to do lists for me. I’ll burn them. She knows better.

[9] Genesis 2:21-22 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

[10] Genesis 2:23-24 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

  • WOMAN was taken out of man. This evil world today doesn’t like the word WOMAN anymore.
  • They want to take man out of everything because MAN is the chosen leaders by God. And they hate that.
  • My wife is BONE OF MY BONES. My wife is FLESH OF MY FLESH. We are one. We are together in all things.
  • A man must leave his father and mother and CLEAVE unto his wife. AND THEY SHALL BE ONE FLESH.
  • And that’s what happens when a man and woman comes together. They are one flesh.

A husband should only EVER be one flesh with one woman who is his wife. Same thing for women.

  • You don’t go out and try to become one with another man or woman for one night.
  • That’s evil and wicked. DON’T DO IT.
  • Husbands, you are one with your wife. Wives, you are one with your husband. Don’t ever forget that.
  • You are HIS and HE is yours. This is how God Almighty designed this relationship. Don’t mess it up.

Young men and young women here in this church, you need to listen up and hear what God commands you.

  • He is a God to be feared. Fornication is a sexual relationship outside of Biblical marriage.
  • You must be married BEFORE you have a sexual relationship.
  • You should only ever have that type of relationship with your wife or your husband. NO ONE ELSE.
  • And this isn’t a joke. God hates fornication. He destroys people as examples within the Bible.
  • Those examples are for you to see, read, and understand. FEAR GOD and do what He says.
  • Or you might end up just like one of those examples.

[11] 1 Corinthians 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

  • DO NOT COMMIT FORNICATION. God hates this.
  • Young men and women here in this church, I’m going to tell you what you need to do.
  • You choose a Godly woman or a Godly man to marry.
  • You don’t have that private relationship with them until you are married. This is God’s way.
  • If the man or woman you like doesn’t know God and Jesus Christ, you give them the Gospel.
  • And you keep giving them the Gospel until they believe on Jesus Christ.
  • You bring them here, and we’ll teach them the truth. Choose a GODLY SPOUSE. You have the choice.

You need to make sure that your Godly parents, who you are to obey, approve of this man or woman.

  • They will tell you the truth. For example, my daughters don’t have to get my approval for their husband.
  • They can go off and do whatever they want. But, if they respect me, they will want my approval.
  • I want them to come to me and ask for my advice. I want the best for them, and they know that.
  • They can be rebellious against me, or they can listen to me and seek good counsel and good advice.
  • Children, make the job of your parents easy as you might be a parent one day.
  • When you make the job of your parents difficult, you will get repayed with that.
  • You will reap what you sow. Do good and you will get good. Do evil and you will get evil.

[12] 1 Corinthians 11:10-12 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. 11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. 12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

  • We, as husbands, need our wives. We are one in the Lord. MAN WAS BORN OF WOMAN.
  • Do you see how God does things?
  • Men, don’t get big heads and think you are some big bad ruler over all women.
  • We were born of women. Understand this. But, we are to rule over our own houses well.
  • God commands MEN to be the leaders and to RULE over their homes.

[13] Numbers 30:13 Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.

  • Wives, your husbands have rule over you. God says so many times in the Bible. He never says different.

[14] 1 Corinthians 7:2-4 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

  • In order for a man to rule over his house correctly, the relationship between the husband and wife must be correct.
  • The husband must know that his body is his wife’s body. My body is not my own. My body is my wife’s.
  • The wife must know that her body is the husband’s body. My wife’s body is mine.
  • Her body doesn’t belong to any other man. My body doesn’t belong to any other woman.
  • This must be UNDERSTOOD by both the husband and wife and NEVER BROKEN.
  • If you do break God’s rules, there will be consequences.

[15] 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

  • When the preaching and teaching starts in church, God says for the women to be in silence.
  • For example, my wife, Pam, shouldn’t be telling me that I’m wrong in church.
  • She shouldn’t be saying that I’m right in church. She shouldn’t be saying AMEN to what I’m preaching.
  • When God says silence, that’s what He means. She is commanded to be under obedience to me.
  • If she has a question, she can ask me at home and I will teach her why I preach what I preach.
  • She is not to tell me that I’m right or wrong in church. She is to be silent because God says so.
  • God is giving us the order of how to do things.

[16] Ephesians 5:22-24 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

  • Why do so many men have trouble leading their homes? The women won’t allow them to lead.
  • The women won’t SUBMIT to their husbands. Hey husbands, make it easy for your wives to submit.
  • Follow the Lord, do things the right way according to the Scriptures, and your Godly wives will submit.
  • Don’t do things the wrong way. Don’t do evil things. Do things right and your wives will follow you.
  • We, as the husbands and leaders of our home, have a job to do. This job comes straight from God.
  • Let’s do our job and rule our houses well.

Wives Are To Be Subject To Their Husbands In Everything

Please notice exactly what verse 24 says right there at the end of the verse:

  • “So let the wives be to their OWN HUSBANDS in everything.” Your own husband.
  • I don’t command the wife of another man. Another man doesn’t command my wife.

[17] Ephesians 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

[18] Ephesians 5:28-30 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

  • A good husband is not some horrible dictator and horrible ruler that hates his wife.
  • No, a good husband rules over his wife by doing good and following God and His commandments.
  • For example, a good husband will stop his wife from wearing certain clothing.
  • I will say to my wife, “Hey, you aren’t wearing that. Everything is hanging out. Go put on something else.”
  • This is called ruling over my wife in the right way.
  • But she can make it easy on me by not attempting to wear something like that.

Same thing with my daughters. If they wear something they shouldn’t, I will make them change.

  • “Hey, you aren’t wearing that.” And if they give me any lip about it, there will be consequences.
  • I don’t put up with the mouthing off. Mumble something under your breath, and we have a problem.
  • “HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM.” Go change your clothes and don’t ever wear that again.
  • I love my wife and children the right way. They might not like my decisions, but they are good decisions.
  • They can trust me to lead them the right way. Husbands, we must lead like this.

[19] Colossians 3:18-21 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. 20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. 21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

  • Wives MUST submit themselves to their OWN HUSBANDS as it is fit IN THE LORD.
  • Wives, don’t do evil if your husband commands you to do evil. God is the highest authority.
  • We ALWAYS submit ourselves to Him above anyone else.
  • But, if your husband isn’t going against the Lord, then you need to submit to your husband.
  • Husbands must love their wives. How do they do that? Following the commandments of Jesus Christ.
  • Love is following God’s commandments.

Children, OBEY YOUR PARENTS IN ALL THINGS. You do this until you’re married.

  • Parents, we are not to send our children off to be on their own and to learn on their own.
  • Sending them off to college is not the right way. They don’t leave their parents until they are married.
  • This is what the Bible says. Until they are married, they are to obey their parents in all things.
  • “But they just turned 18 and they can do what they want.” WRONG. God never says this.

If they live at my house, they will do what I say. This is called ruling your house well.

  • They will obey me. They will follow my rules. They will do so until they are married.
  • As a man ruling your house well, you need to do the same thing. Your children will obey until they marry.
  • Will I spank my older children? “Well, they turned thirteen so I don’t spank them anymore.” WRONG.
  • I will provide correction to my children when they do wrong. I’ll take a belt and get them.
  • And you might say, “Well, that’s wrong to take the belt to an older child.” No, you’re wrong.
  • We use the Bible here, and we hear God’s commandments.
  • Did you know that MEN in the Bible receive stripes or beatings based on the crimes they commit.
  • So why would I stop spanking my children when they turn 13 or 16 or 18 or 21? I won’t.

[20] Deuteronomy 25:1-2 If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked. 2 And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.

[21] Deuteronomy 25:3 Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

  • If I raise my children correctly from a young child, I shouldn’t need to whip them when they are older.
  • The corrections should be less and less. They learn and they begin to do things the right way.
  • If not, they’re going to get it. Does the Bible set an age limit? No, there is no age limit.
  • Instead of giving someone stripes as the Bible commands, we stick people in prison. This is not Biblical.

Raise your children the right way by giving them correction when they need it, and they will do things right.

  • Lazy parents won’t correct their children because it’s too difficult. I don’t enjoy whipping my children.
  • It’s easier for me to not whip them. It’s easier for me to ignore the things they do wrong.
  • That would be called lazy. That would be called hating your children.
  • When your children need a whipping, they get a whipping. If not, you don’t love your children.

[22] Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

  • If you don’t whip your children, this is called sparing your rod. You don’t use it when needed.
  • But you love your children by whipping them when they need it.
  • That’s called love and that’s what produces Godly children who follow the rules.
  • God does the same thing. He will chasten you. He will punish you. Why? To get you on the right track.
  • If we follow God’s example, AS MEN, we will rule our houses WELL.
  • There are some men who rule their houses but not well. They do evil things. That’s not what we want.
  • We need to follow God’s word, His ways, and His examples.

[23] 2 Samuel 7:14-15 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: 15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

  • Children, when we correct you, you need to know that we love you.
  • We are bringing you back to the right ways. God does the same. He set the example for us to follow.
  • If you don’t like God’s example, you’ll have a very difficult and very tough life. You don’t want that.
  • For example, children, don’t talk back to your mom. Don’t bad mouth your dad. Don’t talk trash.
  • As good parents, we will have mercy on you. We love you, but don’t continue to go against us.
  • We will win because we have God’s backing and support. You can’t fight against God. You’ll lose.

[24] Psalm 89:30-32 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; 31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; 32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

  • This is God’s way. Allow your Dad to rule his house well. Don’t fight him. Don’t fight with your Mom.
  • God says to keep His commandments or He will visit you with the rod.
  • He will visit your iniquity with stripes. And when He says He’ll do something, believe it. He will do it.

[25] Proverbs 17:10 A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.

  • As a child or an adult, you need to believe this right here. Don’t be a fool. BE WISE.
  • Before I whip my children most of the time, I will give them a warning.
  • If it’s something really bad, there is no warning. I’ll get them immediately.
  • For example, if I tell them to do something and they say NO, immediate whipping.
  • But other times, I will give them reproof or rebuke first as a warning.

Wise Children Will Hear The Warning And Stop

If they allow that warning to stop them from doing it again, they are very wise.

  • If not, they’ll get the stripes. Don’t be foolish and take the stripes. Take the warning. TAKE HEED.
  • Be a wise child. Be a wise adult. Let’s just do what God says and make progress for Him.
  • Let’s not take up His time with doing wrong. Let’s not make Him punish us and bring us back to Him.
  • Let’s stick with Him and just do what He says.

[26] Proverbs 20:30 The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.

  • Stripes or a whipping will correct you. This is God’s way of correction.
  • It humbles you and brings you down. We do wrong because we think we can do whatever we want.
  • The stripes will teach you different.
  • HUSBANDS AND WIVES, be ready to use the stripes with your children to rule your house well.

[27] 1 Timothy 2:9-11 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. 11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

[28] 1 Timothy 2:12-14 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

  • Wives, don’t attempt to be the authority over your husbands. Don’t do it.
  • If you do, you are breaking God’s commandments to you. That’s not what you want to do.
  • Yes, that’s a warning. Help your husband become a Godly leader of your home. Support him.
  • Listen to him. Allow him to lead and to rule over you. Women are deceived more easily than men.
  • The Bible teaches this. Eve was deceived. The first sin was Eve’s. Understand that.
  • Men will not be deceived as easily. We can still be deceived but not as easily.
  • This is why God wants men ruling over their homes and the churches.
  • Let the woman learn in silence WITH ALL SUBJECTION.

[29] Titus 2:1-3 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: 2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

  • Hey men, we are to be sober. Nothing enters us that affects our thoughts. We keep a clear mind.
  • We get sleep. We pray. We get on our knees to God. We study the Scriptures.
  • We go to church. We preach the Gospel. We stay sound in the faith. We have charity and patience.
  • Hey women, you are to be the same. Your should behave in holiness. Not given to wine.
  • TEACHERS OF GOOD THINGS. Every one of you women need to be teachers to the children.
  • Teach them good things. We’re all here to help each other. That’s what church is for.
  • We have an amazing group of people here right now. I thank God for all of you. Let’s teach and help.

[30] Titus 2:4-6 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. 6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

  • All of the women here now: teach these young women to be sober and to love their future husbands.
  • Teach them to love their children by following God’s commandments. BE SOBER AT ALL TIMES.
  • Young women who are here right now: You have amazing women in this church to look up to.
  • You have more than your mom here right now. Mom’s, you aren’t alone. Look to these women.
  • They’ll help you. They will teach you to be discreet and chaste. BE PURE. Don’t give your body to anyone.

Your body is for your future husband and no one else. These women here will teach you that.

  • Don’t give your body to anyone at any time. Don’t be a harlot. GOD COMMANDS THIS. Be pure.
  • Stay a virgin until you’re married. Do you understand that? Make sure you do.
  • Once married, be obedient to your husband. This means you need to make sure you choose a Godly man.
  • Don’t choose a man because you think he’s so pretty with his beautiful hair.
  • Or, he’s so cool because he does drugs and drinks alcohol and blasphemes Jesus Christ.

You need to choose a man who loves God and Jesus Christ. He doesn’t have to be the prettiest man alive.

  • He doesn’t need to use hair gel, wear expensive clothing, or be a doctor or lawyer.
  • You simply need a man who follows God. Doesn’t matter if he doesn’t have much money.
  • You need a man who follows Jesus Christ. Do you understand that? Make sure you do.
  • And husbands, leaders of your home, you need to make sure your daughters understand this.

And husbands with sons, you need to make sure you raise up Godly men that Godly women will be looking for.

  • Godly men and women will stand out to each other. They will know immediately.
  • They won’t be difficult to spot. Godly men and women have the greatest thing ever in common.
  • And that is Jesus Christ the Savior of all men.

[31] 1 Peter 3:1-3 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; 2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

  • Women, be in subjection to your own husbands. You don’t have to fix yourself all up all the time.
  • Don’t spend all day getting pretty. Your beauty will show without all of those things.
  • Your beauty will show through the love you have for God. Your beautiful heart will show strong.

[32] 1 Peter 3:4-5 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. 5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

  • Did you know God loves a quiet spirit in Godly women? He doesn’t like loud mouth women.
  • He loves His women to be meek and quiet in spirit. Make sure you understand that. Practice that.
  • Same thing with Godly men. We love a Godly woman with a meek and a quiet spirit.
  • “Which is in the sight of God of GREAT PRICE.” This is what God says.
  • Don’t you to be worth a lot to God?
  • Don’t you want God to come to you when He needs a Godly woman to do something for Him?

Be A Godly Woman And Allow Your Husband To Rule

For example, God chose Elizabeth to be the mother of the greatest man to ever live besides Jesus Christ.

  • God chose Mary the mother of Jesus to carry the Son of God in the flesh.
  • Why do you think God chose those women? They had a MEEK AND QUIET SPIRIT.
  • God chose Sarah, a beautiful woman, but a woman who obeyed her husband Abraham.
  • Don’t you want to be like those women? Be of a great price to God. Allow your husbands to rule well.

[33] 1 Peter 3:6-7 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. 7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

  • The wife is the weaker vessel so wives obey your husbands. Sara obeyed Abraham.
  • Women, if you want a good example, follow the example of Sarah when she did good.
  • She wasn’t a perfect woman, but she obeyed Abraham.
  • With all this said, God wants me to RULE OVER THEIR HOMES.
  • A requirement for bishops or pastors and deacons is that they must rule over their homes.
  • THEY MUST. It’s a requirement. If they don’t, they can’t be a bishop, pastor, or deacon. Let’s read.

[34] 1 Timothy 3:1-3 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

[35] 1 Timothy 3:4-5 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

  • In order to rule your house well, your children must be in subjection with all gravity.
  • They know and understand that you are the ruler of the house. They don’t run the house.
  • Your wife doesn’t run the house. She is not the leader. YOU ARE THE LEADER and they all know it.
  • There is no question about the leader in my home. I am the leader, and I take the lead in all things.
  • My wife doesn’t tell me what I must do. I tell her what she must do.
  • And she submits because she loves God. She could fight back if she wanted. But she doesn’t.
  • Why? Because she fears God. This is His commandment, and He has much more authority than I do.

If we as husbands can’t rule our own homes, we can’t take care of the church of God.

  • We must first prove that we can rule our own homes, and then we take care of the church of God.
  • I must meet all the requirements for the office of a pastor in this church. If I don’t, then I can’t do this job.
  • ONE WIFE all my life. Not one wife at a time. ONE WIFE. Blameless or following God’s commandments.
  • No one is perfect. But we can do our best right now to follow God and His commandments.
  • Men, we must be vigilant. All the men who are here right now, I want you to be leaders in this church.
  • God sent all of you here FIRST because we will need you as leaders in this church.
  • Jesus Christ says, “I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH.” He’s chosen all of you who are here right now.
  • We need good men. We need Godly men who will do what God says no matter what.
  • This means we all need to meet these requirements.

We need to be of good behavior. We must be given to hospitality. APT TO TEACH. We must teach and preach.

  • I know every one of you well, and I know every man here can do this. I’ve seen you do it.
  • Not given to wine EVER. Don’t even look at it. Alcohol is trash. Does absolutely nothing for you at all.

[36] Proverbs 23:29-31 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? 30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. 31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.

[37] Proverbs 23:32-33 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. 33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.

  • We won’t have those things happen because we won’t even look at the alcohol. We will stay sober.
  • We will not be strikers or quarrelsome men.
  • We will be peaceable, but we will stand up for God when needed.
  • We will not be greedy. We will give to others and help others who are trying to follow Jesus Christ.

We will not be brawlers or violent. And violence in the Bible is doing wrong to someone.

  • Don’t be confused. We will protect our women and our children with everything that we have.
  • If someone comes after us, we will fight back.
  • If someone breaks into our home and threatens our wives or our children, we will protect ourselves.
  • We will not be pushovers. We will not allow people to walk all over us. Understand this. We will be men.
  • We will rule our homes, and we will rule over this house of God just as He asks us to do.
  • We will not be covetous and want what others have. Physical possessions are not important to us.
  • So, let’s get all this in order and let’s become great leaders for God.

[38] Joshua 24:14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

[39] Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

  • All of you who are here right now: The men, the women, the young ladies, the young men.
  • We all have a choice to make right now. Does it seem evil to you to serve the Lord who gave you life?
  • Hey, listen, it’s not evil to serve the Lord. There’s nothing better. I’ll tell you right now.
  • I have experience in this world. I’m not a novice. I’ve made many mistakes in my life and big mistakes.
  • You all need to listen to the men in this church. We have experience. None of us are novices.
  • None of us are beginners. We know this world. We know the evil within this world.
  • You need to stay away from it. Do you hear me young ladies and young men? Stay away from evil.

Will You Serve The Lord Or Not?

Every one of you has a decision to make right now. Will you serve the Lord or not?

  • Do you want to be of great value to God or not? Do you want a mansion in heaven or not?
  • Do you want a thousand acre suite in heaven with the best land you’ve ever seen?
  • If you do, let’s serve God and let’s help each other.
  • Men and husbands, we’ll go home today after this service. What will we do?
  • Will we keep things the same, or will we make some changes to serve the Lord even better?
  • Will you say, “AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD!!!”
  • Will you be a MAN and lead your house in service of the Lord? Rule your home with Jesus Christ.
  • Be like Joshua, a man of God who loved God, and a great warrior for God.

[40] Genesis 18:19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

  • Be like Abraham. GOD KNEW HIM. God knew that Abraham would COMMAND HIS HOUSEHOLD.
  • And not just his immediate but all his household after him.
  • Men who are here right now: Does God know that you will command your household?

[41] Psalm 101:1-4 A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing. 2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. 3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. 4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

  • Men, will you be like David? I will behave myself in a perfect way.
  • I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes.
  • I hate the work of them that turn aside. A froward heart shall depart from me.
  • I WILL NOT KNOW A WICKED PERSON!!! Make sure you see this. We aren’t friends with the wicked.
  • We teach our wives and our children the right ways.

[42] Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

  • Every word of God is truth. Men and husbands, we are to train up our children.
  • We command our wives to teach our children at home. There is no better teacher for our children.
  • Listen up, there is no one who loves their children more than a Godly mother.
  • Why would we give our children over to anyone else? We can’t. We are to train up our children ourselves.
  • What’s more important in your life? Money or your children going to heaven and following the Lord?
  • There’s no comparison. I will rule my house. I will follow the Lord and do things His way.

[43] Deuteronomy 4:9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;

[44] Deuteronomy 4:10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

  • Those of you who are here with your children: This church will teach your children.
  • We stick together here. We work together here.
  • Coming here will be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made. You will see this. Stick with us.
  • God says, “Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words.”
  • You will hear the word of God here, and there’s nothing better than that.
  • You will learn the fear of the Lord here. We will teach our wives and children to fear the Lord.

[45] Deuteronomy 6:6-7 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

[46] Deuteronomy 11:18-19 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. 19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

  • If we are to rule our homes well, we are to constantly have the word of God in our homes.
  • We must be reading the word of God constantly with our wives and our children.
  • RULING OUR HOMES WELL = TEACHING THE WORD OF GOD.
  • Young women and young men: I want you to hear the words of this next Scripture.

[47] Proverbs 6:20-22 My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. 22 When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.

  • Listen to your father and mother. They know better than you even when you think they don’t.
  • It’s foolish to ignore your Dad and your Mom. You won’t be alone in this world with God’s words.
  • The word of God is a lamp that will guide you in the right ways.
  • You don’t want pain in your life, do you? I sure don’t. It stinks. It’s not fun at all.
  • If you go away from God and His words, you will have great pain. Don’t do it.

[48] 1 Timothy 3:8-10 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; 9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. 10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.

[49] 1 Timothy 3:11-12 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. 12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

  • The two offices within the church require than men rule their wives and their children well.
  • They must rule their OWN HOUSES WELL. Their wives must meet these requirements too.
  • If a man can’t keep his wife from being an alcoholic, then the man can’t be a leader in the church.
  • The man can’t hold the office of a bishop or a deacon. He must rule over his wife.
  • He must ensure she is learning God’s words and following Him.
  • If not, then we aren’t ruling over our houses well.

[50] Titus 1:6-7 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. 7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

  • Right here we once again see that we must have faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
  • When we rule over our children, our children won’t cause problems.
  • They will be good examples to other children.
  • Our children will say, “Hey, I 100% cannot do that because my Dad said NO.”
  • “No, I won’t drink the alcohol because my Dad said no. God said no. I won’t do it.”
  • “I know that alcohol leads to very bad things, and you shouldn’t do it either.”

[51] Titus 1:8-9 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; 9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

  • Our job as men and leaders in church is to convince the gainsayers or the opposers of God.
  • If we can’t convince our own wives and children, how will we convince someone else?
  • We need to love hospitality. We need to love good men, sober men, just men, and temperate men.
  • WE MUST HOLD FAST THE FAITHFUL WORD WITH ALL THAT WE HAVE.
  • We never give in to anything different. We will stand for the word of God, and we will be men of God.

If You Hate God, You Are A Loser

To everyone out in the world right now who hates God: YOU WILL LOSE.

  • And we will not take your trash any more. WE WILL STAND UP TO YOU and we will defend God’s words.
  • And you kill us for it.
  • But you better hope God’s angel army isn’t there waiting for you as you attack His people.
  • Children, pay attention to this. YOUR LEADERS WILL NOT GIVE IN TO THIS WORLD.
  • We will stand up for God and for what is right. We will not back down.
  • We will fight when we need to fight. Why? Because we are men and God gave us this job.

As men, we need to do the job that God has given us. Wives, make this job easier for your husband.

  • Children, make this job easier for your Dad. We have enough opposition.
  • We don’t need it within our own homes. Help us, love us, and follow God. We love all of you.
  • I will fight for any one of you. If someone bothers any one of these children, I’m coming for them.
  • If anyone messes with any of you, they’ll have to deal with me. Understand that.
  • Men, we need to be strong and faithful. We are not be lazy. We correct our children. We don’t let it go.
  • We work hard for God. Jesus says, “My Father works and I work.” We will work hard.
  • God holds us accountable for our children. He shows us that with Eli and his evil sons.

[52] Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

  • I hope with all that I have that everyone here now understand who is to be the ruler of your home.
  • I hope, pray, and ask God right now to please be with all the men who are here right now.
  • God, please help us to lead our homes the way you want us to lead.
  • Please save our wives and our children. We ask for your protection over our homes.
  • We ask you to please bring your angels to guard our homes, protect us, and look over us.
  • I’ll take another angel over my home at night. Thank you, Lord.
  • Please help our wives and children to trust in you with all their heart, soul, and mind.

[53] Deuteronomy 31:11-12 When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing. 12 Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:

[54] Joshua 8:35 There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua read not before all the congregation of Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant among them.

  • We have church the way we do for a reason. Everyone is together in one service.
  • The men, the leaders, are with their family in this church.
  • We don’t try to snatch your kids away and teach them some trash in Sunday School.
  • We are all together at all times and the leaders of each home hear all the words that are being taught.
  • Your job is to protect your family from false preaching and that’s why other churches take your kids away.

That’s why other churches snatch your wives away and put them with other women who teach wrong.

  • God says for men to teach and preach, and He gives the examples within the Bible.
  • God said for women to stay silent in the churches. In this church, we’ll hear from the men.
  • We will rule over this church, and we will lead this church in the right ways of the Lord.

“Gather thy people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates.”

  • “That they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the Lord your God.”
  • “And observe to do all the words of this law.”
  • Bring the women and the little ones and the strangers. We will have church the way God intended here.
  • And the men will lead this church and rule their homes the way God has commanded us.

Let’s pray.
