[2] The title of the sermon today is “JOHN CHAPTER 10.”

The Blind Man Wasn’t Blind From Sin

• In John Chapter 9, we saw a blind man that was blind from birth.
• We see that he isn’t blind due to sin. He wasn’t being punished for sin.

[3] John 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

• Jesus heals the man and restores his sight.
• The healed blind man is brought to the Pharisees, and they question this man.
• We see the parents of the blind man are very weak parents who fear the Jews.
• The blind man stands up against the Jews.
• Of course he’s going to follow the man that healed him over the Jews who hate him.

[4] John 9:27-28 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples? 28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples.

• The Jews reviled this healed blind man. They hated him because he wouldn’t follow them.
• He’s now a disciple of Jesus. He doesn’t know who Jesus is at this point but he does know one thing.

[5] John 9:25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.

• This healed blind man tells the Jews that he is amazed that they can’t understand Jesus is from God.

[6] John 9:30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.

• The blind man knows that Jesus is from God, but He doesn’t know Jesus is the Son of God.
• He doesn’t know that Jesus is the Savior of the world.

[7] John 9:34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.

• Oh no!!! The Jews cast this man out. Everyone else was scared of being cast out of the Jews.
• The blind man doesn’t care because he was already an outcast. He was already a beggar on the streets.
• Jesus hears that the Jews had cast him out and Jesus comes to the man.
• If you’re in a false religion like Judaism, it’s best if you leave or get cast out. That’s the best thing.
• It’s not a bad thing. It’s a GREAT thing to be cast out of a false religion.
• Next, in John Chapter 9, we saw Jesus come to this man and tell him who He is.

[8] John 9:35-38 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. 38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

• We saw that the Pharisees and the scribes were made blind.
• We saw that the blind man was made to see. But the ones who could see were made blind.
• They’ll NEVER understand the Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
• You must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and “THE” only Savior of the world to be saved.
• You must believe on Jesus Christ to save you in order to be saved, and that’s it.
• With that said, let’s start there in verse 1 of John Chapter 10.

[9] John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

• We’re going to talk about Jesus being the shepherd of the sheep today.
• John Chapter 10 is an amazing chapter that proves so many things.
• We know that the way into the sheepfold is through Jesus Christ ALONE.
• To be one of Jesus’ sheep, you must be saved. You must enter through the ONE DOOR.
• You can’t climb up some other way into the sheepfold and be one of Jesus’ sheep.
• If you do climb in some other way, you’re not a sheep. You’re a thief and a robber.

Don’t Be A Thief And A Robber With A Weird Way To Salvation

For example, if you think you MUST be baptized to be saved, you’re a thief and a robber.

• Why? Because you believe your good work of baptism is going to save you. It depends on you.
• That’s not Jesus Christ alone. He is the door. You aren’t. It has nothing to do with your works.
• Changing your mind and believing on Jesus is not a work.
• If you think your religion will save you by doing all of the things they say, you are a thief and a robber.
• That’s what the Bible says. That’s what Jesus Christ just said in John Chapter 10 verse 1.
• Is that offensive to all of the false religions and followers of false religions? Yes it is.
• People will hate me for saying these things, but I’m just repeating what Jesus said.

[10] John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

• That’s the entire point of the Bible. When we preach the word of God, people will be offended.
• People will hate the preacher who is preaching God’s word. But understand that it’s coming from Jesus.
• They’re actually saying they’ve hated Jesus before they’ve hated you.
• Anyone who tries to enter into the sheepfold any other way than Jesus Christ alone, that person is a thief and a robber.

[11] John 10:2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

• No one can open that door unless God the Father allows that person to open that door.
• He that enters by the door is THE shepherd of the sheep.
• Jesus Christ is the shepherd of the sheep. He is the chosen one. He is the Savior of the world.
• It’s not the Pope. It’s not the prophet Mohammed. It’s not Vishnu of Hinduism.
• There is no other way to heaven. Jesus Christ is the only one that enters through that door.
• Jesus is THE ONLY true shepherd of the sheep. It’s not you. It’s not your preacher.
• It’s not your church. It’s not your religion. It’s not football. It’s not children’s activities that save them.
• It’s definitely not a public school that’s going to help your children and save them.
• We MUST stop putting our trust in things that can’t help us. Jesus Christ can because He is the shepherd.

[12] John 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

• The porter is God Almighty. God the Father opens the door for Jesus.
• God is the only one who opens that door. He is the porter of the door. A porter is a gate keeper.
• In other words, without God the Father opening the door for Jesus, you wouldn’t have a Savior.
• Read Isaiah Chapter 53 in detail later. I want you to see this, though.

[13] Isaiah 53:6-7 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

[14] Isaiah 53:8-9 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

[15] Isaiah 53:10-11 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

• I hope you see that today. It pleased God to bruise His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.
• That should make you sad because God the Father had to bruise His Son because of your iniquities.
• “He shall see of the travail of HIS SOUL, and shall be satisfied.” Why? So you can be saved.
• God chose Jesus Christ to be the Savior. He gave His Son for all, but some people still reject Him.
• The door was opened for Jesus Christ. He is the chosen Savior of the world.

[16] John 10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

• “THE SHEEP HEAR HIS VOICE.” That’s very important to understand. He calls you by your name.
• He leads you out into the pasture. The Bible tells us that most people will not choose Jesus.
• Most people will go to hell. If you’re saved, you will hear the voice of Jesus Christ.
• This means you will read the Bible and understand the words of Jesus. This is the voice of Jesus.
• He wrote these words. When you hear Him and believe what He says, you are His sheep.
• For example, when the Bible says something clearly and you won’t believe it, you aren’t His sheep.

[17] John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

• That’s what Jesus says it takes to be saved and receive everlasting life.
• All you need to do is change your mind and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to save you.
• Jesus didn’t say you must read and understand the entire Bible from start to finish before you can be saved.
• No, that takes work and you’re not saved by works. You should read and study the Bible.
• But that doesn’t save you. Putting all your trust on Jesus to save you is what saves you.
• If you won’t believe the words of Jesus right there, then you aren’t one of His sheep.
• Why would you trust anyone else over the ONE who laid down His life for you?

[18] John 10:4-5 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

• This is HUGE right here and something you MUST understand.
• Jesus is the one who brings you out into the pasture. He is the one who gives you everlasting life.
• I don’t. Your parents don’t. Your pastor doesn’t. Your religion doesn’t. Your church building doesn’t.
• So why listen to anyone else? Hear the words of Jesus in the Bible.
• He doesn’t just stick you out there on your own. He goes before you. The Bible says so. You are not alone.
• You have God Almighty by your side when you go up against the evil in this world.

Do You Know The Voice Of Jesus Christ?

You know the voice of Jesus Christ. “For they know His voice.”

• You will not follow a stranger, but you will flee from those strangers. You don’t know their voice.
• In other words, I just changed my mind about this because of what Jesus says.
• Before this sermon, I was being convinced that people who follow a false religion might be saved.
• King Solomon followed after false gods, and I know he was saved.
• As a comparison in today’s world, King Solomon became a Jehovah’s Witness, a Mormon, a Seventh Day Adventist, a Buddhist, a Muslim, a Catholic, and a Scientologist.
• There’s a difference in a saved person in King’s Solomon time and today’s time.
• The indwelling of the Holy Spirit was not given in King Solomon’s day.
• Since Jesus Christ has been resurrected in His glorified body, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is given.

Jesus says that His sheep will know His voice. They will not hear a stranger’s voice and follow that stranger.

• So, a saved person will not become a Mormon. A saved person will not become a Catholic.
• A saved person will not become a Muslim. Why is that? Because that’s not the voice of Jesus Christ.
• A saved person will not listen to a stranger.
• If a preacher in a church begins teaching false doctrine, you should flee from that voice. Why?
• Because it’s strange. It doesn’t match what Jesus Christ says. You need to get away.
• When you hear the voice of Jesus Christ within this Bible, you should be like this from Song of Solomon.

[19] Song of Solomon 2:8 The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.

• When you find a church that actually preaches the word of God, you should be like that.
• You should say, “FINALLY, the voice of my beloved!!!” That should make you happy.

[20] John 10:6-7 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

• Jesus is talking to the Pharisees here. John Chapter 10 is a continuation of John Chapter 9.
• So, of course, they can’t hear His words and understand them. He uses parables for this purpose.
• Now Jesus is going to explain the parable to them. Jesus says, “I AM THE DOOR OF THE SHEEP.”

[21] John 10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

• No one else is the door. No one else is the Savior of the world. The Pharisees want to follow Moses.
• Moses isn’t that door. Ellen G. White isn’t the door. A oneness Pentecostal preacher isn’t the door.
• John Calvin isn’t the door. Martin Luther isn’t the door. I’m not the door. You’re not the door.
• Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen, Kyle Idleman aren’t the doors. There’s only one door.
• All of the others are not the Saviors. If you think they are, you’ll find out they weren’t.
• The saved will not hear those people but will instead hear Jesus Christ.
• The true Moses, though, spoke of Jesus Christ. Listening to the true Moses is great because He spoke the truth within the Bible.

[22] John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

• You can only enter into eternal life through Jesus Christ. This is not difficult to understand.
• False preachers will say this, but then they’ll say you must be baptized. You must be a good person.
• You must do this and you must do that. Then Jesus isn’t their door. Their door includes themselves.
• They’re saying Jesus needs their help to open the door for them. Jesus can’t open the door on His own.
• That’s what they’re saying. And guess what? That door never gets opened.
• Jesus only opens that door for the people who trust Him completely to open it.
• If you want to help Him open it, it’s never going to happen. Trust Jesus and “YOU SHALL BE SAVED.”
• Then, you’ll go in and out and find pasture. You’ll find pasture in and out, here and there.

[23] John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

• All of the others who come saying that they are the way are likened to a thief.
• All of the people who say “MY WAY IS THE RIGHT WAY” are thieves.
• I want you to see something today. Do you see Satan mentioned anywhere right there?
• “THE THIEF” at the beginning of the verse right there DOES NOT EQUAL Satan. Does it say that?
• The word “thief” is in the Bible 28 times and Satan is never referred to in any of those verses.
• The Bible never even calls Satan “the thief” but, yes, he is a thief. He is the father of the Pharisees.

Jesus Is Not The Door For False Religion

The Pharisees have their own way to heaven. Jesus is not their door. This makes them thieves.

• Jesus doesn’t elevate Satan to “THE THIEF” level here. Notice that. False preachers always elevate Satan.
• Anyone who has a different way to eternal life than Jesus alone is a thief.
• Satan is for any other way to eternal life but Jesus, so yes, Satan is a thief. He’s nothing more than that.
• Jesus doesn’t say Satan is the GREAT THIEF. He doesn’t say Satan is “THE” thief.
• Jesus never elevates Satan. So why do we? We only do this from false preaching. It’s not in the Bible.
• People who elevate Satan to something great will have more problems. Jesus is great. Satan is not.
• He’s trash. Do you take garbage from your garbage at home and hang it on the wall? Do you frame it?
• No, so why in the world would you elevate a thief in your life? Jesus doesn’t do that.
• Don’t listen to false preachers. Remember, you shouldn’t even hear their voice.

Do you see the end of verse 10 right there? Wow, this is a misused verse by so many false preachers.

• They’ll say, “Jesus came so you can have an abundant life here on earth filled with riches.”
• “Give me your money, and Jesus will bless you with an abundant life.”
• Is that what that verse says, “Give your money to a false preacher and you will have abundant life?”
• You can have life more abundantly IF you trust Jesus and do what He says.
• That doesn’t include funding liars and thieves. That’s called following a liar and a thief.
• Jesus isn’t a liar and a thief, and He never says to give your money to those liars and thieves.

[24] Romans 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

• That’s abundance. The abundant life is one in which you receive grace from God.
• If you don’t have God’s grace, you’re in big trouble. If you’re saved and you sin, you get more of God’s grace.
• God doesn’t give you more great blessings because you are so great. No, you’re a sinner.
• He keeps forgiving you because of His grace. Now that’s an abundant life.
• You should be happy and thank God that He continues to forgive you when you mess up each day.
• You don’t expect God to bless you with a life filled with earthly riches.
• Joel Osteen says, “God owes you.” That man has no idea. That’s the voice of a stranger. RUN!!!

[25] Romans 5:17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

• You should be so thankful for God’s grace. Grace means He gives you that gift when you don’t deserve it.
• Joel Osteen says that you do deserve it. God says you don’t deserve it.
• Joel Osteen sounds good so they’ll believe him over God. But no, God’s grace sounds better to me.
• God doesn’t owe me anything. I owe God so much that I can never pay Him back.
• I can work for all eternity, and I’ll never be able to catch up with what I owe God. God doesn’t owe me.
• That’s called an abundant life filled with God’s grace. An abundant life is not one filled with earthly riches.

[26] John 10:11-12 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

• Jesus is the shepherd within this parable. A good shepherd will give his life for the sheep.
• At this point in the Bible, Jesus hasn’t died on the cross yet. But He will. What He says is true.
• Soon, He will be giving His life for the sheep. He will give His life for that blind man from John Chapter 9.
• He gave His life for you. He gave His life for me. He wasn’t hired by God to die for you.
• He isn’t a false shepherd. A false shepherd would not give his life for the sheep.

As a husband and a parent, I will give my life for my wife and children.

• If one of them needed my heart to live, I would say: “TAKE MY HEART and give it to her.”
• I look over them and make sure they’re on the right path.
• They didn’t hire me. Do you all pay me to do that for you? No, I do it because I love you.
• Do you see how God’s design shows us that He is God? This is just more proof that the Bible is true.
• If you’re doing something just for the money, you aren’t going to give your life for those people.
• If the shepherd was hired to watch over the sheep that aren’t his, he’s going to run when danger comes.
• If his own life is put in danger, he’s not going to save the sheep.
• He’s not going to give himself to save the sheep.

Jesus Is “THE” Good Shepherd

Jesus is the good shepherd. He’s not going to leave you alone. You’re His once you’re saved.

• Do you understand that? That’s the point of this. A false preacher will run away and save himself.
• First sign of danger? He’s gone. I’m sure you’ve had friends like that in your life.
• Why is that? Because they’re friends with you for themselves. Not for any other reason.
• If Jesus weren’t a good shepherd, HIS SHEEP could be scattered.
• “And the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.”
• One example of a wolf is someone like Joel Osteen. He catches them and scatters the sheep.
• But guess what? They weren’t God’s sheep because Jesus doesn’t allow His sheep to be scattered.
• If you’re a follower of Joel Osteen, you need to turn to Jesus Christ. He is the Good Shepherd.
• He doesn’t allow His sheep to be scattered. I know Jesus now, and I will listen to Jesus Christ.

[27] Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

• “But Joel Osteen is so nice. He’s a good guy. He’s trying his best.” That’s what people say.
• Do you know who said those words in Matthew 7:15 there? That’s Jesus speaking.
• Are you going to hear His words? “My sheep hear my voice. My sheep know my voice.”
• Joel Osteen comes to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly he is a ravening wolf. Understand that.
• Jesus didn’t say to respect the wolves because they are so nice outwardly.

[28] John 10:13-14 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

• Jesus knows His sheep and His sheep know Him. For example, I can 100% say that I know Jesus.
• How can I say that? Because I’ve trusted Him to save me, and I know who He is from His words.
• I’m getting to know Him more and more because of His words in the Bible.
• When I read and study this, my faith in Him increases.

Kenneth Copeland said recently that he went to dinner with a man that hated him.

• Sounds a lot like me. I hate Kenneth Copeland because he’s a liar and a thief and leading people to hell.
• Kenneth Copeland said, “This man knew the Bible very well but he didn’t know faith like me.”
• Kenneth Copeland said, “I might not know the Bible very well but I know faith.”

[29] Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

• So, the Bible says one thing and Kenneth Copeland says another. He directly contradicts the Bible.
• How do you increase your faith in Jesus Christ? Faith comes by hearing the word of God.
• Whenever you come to church here, your faith will increase. You will hear the word of God.
• And the only reason you hear the word of God is because you’ve trusted the word of God.
• Kenneth Copeland doesn’t understand the Bible because he won’t trust in Jesus Christ alone.
• Do you know what he trusts in? MONEY. Give Kenneth money, and you’ll be good in his eyes.
• Do you know people like that? Give them money and you’ll be a good person in their eyes.

[30] John 10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

• Jesus continues preaching to the Jews right here. He tells them that the Father knows Him.
• And Jesus says, “even so I know the Father.” God knows Jesus lays down His life for the sheep.
• Jesus continues to tell the Pharisees who He is, and He does so over and over again.
• But they won’t hear His voice.

[31] John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

• Jesus tells the Jews that He has other sheep which are not of this fold.
• He has other sheep which are not Jews. “THEM ALSO MUST I BRING.”
• That’s you and I. I hear His voice. He brought me with Him just like He said right there.
• There is one fold, and one shepherd only. Jesus is that shepherd.
• God didn’t just save the Jews like the Jews believe. He saves all who believe on Him.

[32] John 11:51-52 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; 52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

• That’s the high priest, Caiaphas, prophesying in John Chapter 11.
• Jesus will gather ALL HIS SHEEP from all nations. Not just the Jewish nation.
• There are Jews who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. They’re saved.
• There are people from all nations who were scattered abroad like sheep.
• Once they believe on Jesus, He gathers them all together in His name and they are His sheep.

[33] John 10:17-18 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

• God the Father loves Jesus because He commanded Jesus to lay down His life and He did what He asked.
• God will love you when you do what He asks. This tells you that Jesus had the choice to do it or not.
• He says, “NO MAN TAKETH IT FROM ME, BUT I LAY IT DOWN OF MYSELF.” Jesus had the choice.
• Jesus has HIS OWN WILL, which proves He is a separate person from God the Father.
• God the Father didn’t make Jesus lay down His life. He commanded Him to do it, but Jesus had the choice.
• And Jesus chose to die for you so that you could be saved by believing on Jesus to save you.

Jesus Loves You “IF” You Keep His Commandments

[34] John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

• If you want to be loved by God, you need to keep His commandments.
• If you want to ignore God and do whatever you want in your life, then don’t expect God to love you.
• Same thing with my children. If they want me to continue to love them, they do what I ask.
• That’s pretty easy to understand but false preachers say God will love you no matter what.
• Jesus, again, says different. He says, “IF you keep my commandments, I will love you.”
• If Jesus would have chosen not to give up His life for us, His Father wouldn’t have loved Him.

[35] John 10:19-21 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. 20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? 21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

• Jesus kept on preaching to the Jews. He didn’t go to anyone else but the children of Israel.
• Some of them say that Jesus has a devil. But others argued that the miracles He did prove otherwise.
• So, the Jews were divided over Jesus Christ. Remember, that’s what Jesus does. He divides people.
• Some so-called “Christians” will say: “We should all just get along no matter what.”
• Is that what Jesus did? No, He divides the truth from the lies. He divides His sheep from the others.
• From the beginning, God has been ONE that divides.

[36] Genesis 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

[37] Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

• We don’t choose to have peace over people being saved.
• We don’t choose peace over telling someone the truth in the Bible.
• “Well, the Bible offends my family so I just won’t say anything. It always causes a fight.”
• Yes, Jesus causes division. Jesus causes arguments. Jesus causes fights. Get over it.
• I thought of something this week. Some people run away when you try to talk to them about Jesus.
• So, we need to find a place where they can’t run away. You get them in a car with you driving.
• Lock the doors and don’t stop. Get them on an airplane. They can’t run too far.

[38] John 10:22-24 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. 23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch. 24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

• Now we’re moving on in time. We’re in Jerusalem in the winter at the feast of dedication.
• This is not one of the feasts of the Lord within the Bible. This feast isn’t mentioned in Leviticus.
• Jesus walked right into the temple in Solomon’s porch on this day.
• The Jews come up to Jesus and say, “If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.”
• What else does He need to say? We’ve seen Him tell them plenty of different ways.
• But let’s see what He says next.

[39] John 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

• He says once again, “I TOLD YOU!!! And ye believed not!!!”
• He says, “My words don’t mean anything to you, but my works should prove who I am.”
• When a blind man from birth is made to see, you would think they might believe.

[40] John 10:26-28 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

• Jesus tells the Jews that they won’t believe His words or the miracles because they are not His sheep.
• But the sheep of Jesus hear His voice and Jesus knows them and they follow Him.
• When Jesus comes to you to save you, you better listen. If you believe on Him, He gives you eternal life.
• He doesn’t tell you to go do all these great works to earn eternal life.
• He says, “I GIVE UNTO THEM ETERNAL LIFE.” He gives it to you.
• “They shall NEVER perish. Neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
• Once you’re saved and part of the flock of Jesus, you cannot lose the gift of eternal life.”

No Man Can Pluck You Out Of His Hands Including You

Notice where it says, “Neither shall ANY man pluck them out of my hand.”

• You have to pay attention to the words of Jesus and hear what He says.
• Some people might say, “Well, it’s my choice if I don’t want to be saved any more.”
• “I believed it in the past, but I don’t believe on Jesus right now.”
• Well, if you truly believed on Jesus, you’re saved already. Unbelief is a sin that is already forgiven.
• And Jesus says, “NO MAN can pluck them out of His hand.” That includes yourself.
• Jesus has you in His hands now, and you’re not getting out.
• Some false preachers will say, “Well, I believe you can slip out of his hands.”
• “You can work your way out of His hands, but you just can’t be plucked out of His hands forcefully.”
• Again, any preacher that says something like this is a WOLF in sheep’s clothing. Get away from them.

Imagine a baby girl holding my hand and trying to remove her hand from mine.

• If I don’t want her to get her hand out of my grip, do you think she could. Of course not.
• But false preachers will act as if you can get away from God’s grip. Do you understand how great He is?
• You can’t get away from the infinite stronger hand of God. Not going to happen.
• Once you’re saved, you’re saved for all of eternity.

[41] John 10:29-30 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one.

• God the Father is greater than all. How are you going to slip out of His hands? Did He lose track of you?
• Are you just so sneaky that you’ll find your way out of His hands?
• Jesus says, “I SHOULD LOSE NOTHING” in John Chapter 6. He knows you now. He doesn’t forget.
• And notice He says in verse 30, “I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE.”
• They aren’t the same person because we just saw Scripture that proves Jesus has His own will.
• Jesus just said that His Father loves Him because He does what His Father asks.
• The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are each different persons in one God.
• So, yes, Jesus and His Father are ONE because they are God Almighty.
• The Father is God, Jesus is God, and the Holy Spirit is God.
• That means when you’re in the hand of Jesus, you’re in the hand of God and you’re not getting out.

[42] Hebrews 10:30-31 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

• When you’re saved, you’re in the hands of God and you should fear God.
• It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the LIVING GOD.
• Now, you should do what He asks you to do because you understand who He is.

[43] John 10:31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

• In other words, Jesus just told them He is God. “I and my Father are one.”
• And they took up stones to stone Jesus. They were going to kill Him right there.

[44] John 10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

• Jesus didn’t go away this time. Remember, He is the WORD OF GOD. His words are powerful.
• He says, “I’ve done many good works from my Father. I showed these to you.”
• “Which ones were so bad that you’re going to stone me now?”

[45] John 10:33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

• They respond to Jesus, “We’re not stoning you because of your good works.”

[46] Leviticus 24:10-11 And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp; 11 And the Israelitish woman’s son blasphemed the name of the LORD, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)

[47] Leviticus 24:12-14 And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them. 13 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 14 Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

• The Jews are saying they are stoning Jesus because of blasphemy. Did Jesus speak evil against God?
• Did Jesus curse God? Did Jesus speak evil against Himself? Of course not. Jesus didn’t blaspheme God.
• But the Jews say that He did. They’re liars and are of their father the devil.
• They say Jesus has made Himself God. He didn’t make Himself God. He is God.
• But what they don’t understand is that Jesus is not saying He is God the Father.
• Does Jesus ever say that? No, He doesn’t. He always acknowledges His Father. “I and my Father are one.”

Ye Are Gods? What Does That Mean?

[48] John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

• This is written in the Scriptures. Where is this written? Keep in mind Jesus is talking to the Jews here.
• In Psalm 82, we see that God Almighty is the ultimate judge but God gave judging over to men.
• That’s why we see the Book of Judges within the Bible. That was God’s preferred method.

[49] Psalm 82:1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

• The little g in gods is talking about the human judges that God has appointed.
• Psalm 82 is rebuking the human judges who are judging unjustly.
• And then we see the Scripture Jesus quotes in Psalm 82:6 which says this:

[50] Psalm 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

[51] John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

• Jesus says, “I SAID YE ARE GODS.” Again, He’s telling them He wrote the Scriptures.
• He called the judges on earth gods.

[52] Exodus 7:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

• So yes, Jesus is talking about the men with power to judge. He called them gods.
• And that’s what kings would do. They would judge between matters. King Solomon is an example of this.
• When two harlots brought a child they were fighting over to King Solomon, he judged them.

[53] 1 Kings 3:24-25 And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king. 25 And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.

[54] 1 Kings 3:26-27 Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it. 27 Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.

• That’s a good judge. That’s wisdom from God. That’s what Jesus is talking about: “Ye are gods.”
• You can judge between good and evil once you are children of the most High.

[55] John 10:35-36 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; 36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

• Jesus is saying, “You can be gods but I can’t be the Son of God?”
• Jesus was sent into the world by His Father. God the Father sent Jesus. He didn’t send Himself.
• Jesus is telling the Jews they are blaspheming God at that moment even though they accuse Him.
• Jesus tells them again, “I am the Son of God.” He didn’t say, “I am the Father.”
• When you say that God is evil, that’s blasphemy. When you say that Jesus is evil, that’s blasphemy.

[56] John 10:37-38 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

• Jesus even tells them to not believe His words but at least believe the works that I do.
• Jesus is going to die and arise from the dead in His new body. They should at least believe that.
• They should know that God the Father is within Jesus and Jesus within His Father.
• And notice something here. The Father is in Jesus and Jesus in the Father.
• The Holy Spirit indwells us but that doesn’t make us the Holy Spirit.
• Some people will say that verse 38 proves that Jesus is God the Father.
• Did you read John Chapter 10 at all? Jesus never says He is God the Father. Not once in the Bible.
• We have the Holy Spirit living within us, but we aren’t the Holy Spirit.
• We should all believe that Jesus is the Son of God because He died on the cross and arose from the dead.

[57] Matthew 16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

[58] Jonah 1:17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

• Jesus died and His soul went to hell for 3 days and 3 nights. He arose from the dead.
• What else do you need to see? The Jews that were standing in front of Jesus would see this sign.
• Then, they should believe that the Father is in Him and He in the Father.
• And many did believe when they saw that sign. The actual brothers of Jesus Christ believed.

[59] John 10:39-40 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand, 40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.

• It’s not yet His time so He escapes from them again. They wanted Jesus dead.
• Jesus goes out beyond Jordan where John first baptized and He lived there or abode there.
• Where was that exactly? Hopefully, you remember this from the John Chapter 1 sermon.

[60] John 1:28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing.

• So Jesus abode there in Bethabara for some time.
• He leaves Jerusalem in John Chapter 10 and goes to Bethabara which is beyond the Jordan river.
• This is about 15 to 20 miles away from Jerusalem.

John The Baptist Told The Truth And That Made Him Great

[61] John 10:41-42 And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true. 42 And many believed on him there.

• Many people came to Jesus or resorted unto him. People followed after Jesus.
• They wanted to see Him and to hear what He had to say. Don’t you want to hear what Jesus has to say?
• Then read the Bible. Study the Bible. That’s called resorting unto Him. Pray. Seek Jesus.
• Those people resorted unto Him. They said, “John the Baptist didn’t do any miracle.”
• “But we see that John the Baptist told us the truth.”
• Telling the truth is more important than doing miracles. Telling the truth can save people from hell.

[62] Luke 7:28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

• This should tell you that God values the truth over anything else.
• He wants you to speak the truth from His words. That’s what John the Baptist did through faith.
• There is no man who is greater than John the Baptist, and he didn’t do any miracles.
• But He told the truth. That’s all God needs from us.

Making people angry by telling them the truth can save them from hell.

• People will get angry when you tell them the truth from the Bible.
• Offending people by telling them the truth can save people from hell.
• So-called “Christians” will get offended the most. They’re like the Pharisees.
• The Pharisees made up their own way to heaven, and they hated Jesus for reproving them.
• The Catholic religion will send you to hell. That’s the truth. Yes, that’s offensive to Catholics.
• If someone can see you’re telling the truth by using the Bible, they might change their mind.
• Many believed on Jesus Christ right there in Bethabara and were saved.
• That’s what you need to do right now. Put your trust on Jesus Christ to save you.
• And then you need to go spread the truth in this world with all that you have.
