Category: Truth in the Trenches (Thursday)
This is FaithFuel Daily—where casual Christianity gets called out. One verse. One fire. Every day.
📖 Scripture of the Day
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
🧨 Not Every Attack Looks Like an Explosion
Sometimes the devil doesn’t kick down your door—
He just fills your calendar.
He doesn’t tempt you with heroin—
He just keeps you scrolling.
He doesn’t steal your Bible—
He just keeps you too busy to open it.
Destruction isn’t always a dramatic fall.
Sometimes it’s a slow drift.
🎯 Distraction Is the New Devourer
Peter said be sober and vigilant.
Why?
Because your enemy is sneaky.
He devours time.
He devours focus.
He devours spiritual fire by keeping you tied up with lesser things.
The devil doesn’t have to drag you into sin—
He just needs to drag you away from purpose.
🔔 Check Your Priorities Before You Crash
How many hours have you spent watching trash?
How many mornings have you skipped time with God “just this once”?
How many years have you delayed obedience because you’re “busy”?
Wake up.
You’re not being attacked—you’re being lulled to sleep.
🗣️ Say it:
“Lord, expose the distractions that are eating my fire—then help me destroy them.”
