🎥 Baptist Bold: Ask a Pastor

📅 Episode 17 – Sunday: Simple Faith
Question: “If I Sin After I’m Saved, Am I Still Saved?”

🎬 Intro Script:

Welcome to Baptist Bold: Ask a Pastor—where truth isn’t filtered, and the Bible has the final word. I’m Pastor Joshua Tapp from True Words Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Let’s dive into today’s question…

📖 Answer:

Every honest Christian asks this at some point:

👉 “I sinned. Am I still saved?”

The answer is simple: If you believed on Jesus—you’re still saved. Period.

Here’s why:

1. Eternal Life Means Forever

📖 John 10:28“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish…”

When Jesus saves you, He gives you eternal life—not probation.
Not temporary life. Not “life until you mess up.”
Eternal. Forever. Irrevocable.

2. Your Salvation Never Depended on Your Goodness

📖 Ephesians 2:8–9“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God…”

You didn’t earn salvation by your good works—you can’t lose it by your failures.

The Gospel is about what Jesus did, not about what you do.

3. Salvation Seals You—Sin Hurts Fellowship, Not Sonship

📖 Ephesians 4:30“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”

Sin after salvation does grieve the Spirit. It can cost you peace, blessings, rewards, and fellowship with God.

But it can never cancel your sonship.

Once you’re His—you’re His forever.

4. God’s Discipline Is Not Damnation

📖 Hebrews 12:6“For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth…”

If you sin after salvation, God will discipline you like a loving Father disciplines a son.

He disciplines His children—He doesn’t disown them.

5. Eternal Security Is God’s Guarantee—Not Your Good Behavior

📖 2 Timothy 2:13“If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.”

Even when your faith weakens—even when you fail—He remains faithful.

He will never deny the eternal life He put inside you.

🎯 Bottom Line:

✅ If you sinned after getting saved—you’re still saved.
✅ If you failed—you’re still a child of God.
✅ If you doubt—He’s still faithful.

📖 John 6:37“Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”

Once saved—always saved.
That’s not a Baptist slogan—it’s a Bible fact.
