How To Give Your Parents The Gospel

Today many kids get saved but not their parents. Kids aren’t sure how to tell their parents, but it’s super simple.

I’m going to show you how to give your parents the gospel, and why you should do this for them.

Why Do Your Parents Need The Gospel?

Why should we give our parents the gospel? Because they need to go to heaven too. Not just that, though, but also because Jesus says tells us to do so.

Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen

Also, you want to be wise or really smart, right? Well, that would mean you are if you win souls or get people saved like you’ll find in the Book of Proverbs.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Anyway, now that you know why we should give your parents the gospel, let’s get into how to tell your parents the gospel.

How To Start When Giving The Gospel To Your Parents

Say something like this:

“Hey Dad or Mom, can I share with you the most important thing ever? This is very important.”

If they say “NO,” just keep trying every day. If they say “YES,” say something like this:

“”The most important thing is to be sure you’re going to heaven. Dad or Mom, God says that we can be sure. Let me show you what God says in 1 John 5:13.”

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

That verse says “that ye may know that ye have eternal life.” Just believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ to know for sure.

Let me show you what that really means.

We’re All Sinners

First, we have to know we are sinners.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

We’ve all messed up in our life. We’ve all lied before. That’s a sin.

The Penalty For Sin

“Sin has a penalty, but what is that penalty?”

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Everyone is a sinner.

In that last verse, the fearful and liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

I have been fearful many times in my life. I know you have as well because everyone is fearful at times.

You’ve lied just like me so we’re headed to hell unless we do what God tells us so we can be forgiven of all our sins.

Here’s What You Need To Understand

You have to understand that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again to pay sin’s penalty for everyone.

God already did all the work for us. He wants to give us a gift. He died for us so that we can be forgiven.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Please understand that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as a man. He lived a perfect life and never did anything wrong. He’s the only man who has never done anything wrong.

He didn’t deserve to die, but he died for you and for I.

Here’s What You Need To Do

All you have to do to be saved and know you’re going to heaven for sure is believe on Jesus to be saved.

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Believing on Jesus means putting ALL YOUR TRUST on Jesus alone to save you. This means you can’t trust in yourself, your good works, or anything else to save you. It’s Jesus alone.

Put your trust ON Jesus, and Jesus says he will save you. He says that he’ll give you everlasting life right now.

Please Dad! Please Mom!

“Please do this today so we can be in heaven together.”

I hope you enjoyed learning this today, and I hope you give the Gospel to your parents.

I also hope this has helped you to know how to get your parents, grandparents, and anyone saved. God wants us to help anyone we can make it to heaven.

That’s why God created us and gave us life here. He wants your parents to be saved and to make it to heaven. He wants you there too!
