Following Jesus Will Cost You Friends
You won’t stay popular when you follow Jesus.
You’ll lose friends.
You’ll lose opportunities.
You’ll lose approval.
“Luke 6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.”
If everyone loves you—
You’re not doing it right.
“John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”
Real Christianity will cost you.
It cost Jesus His life.
It will cost you your comfort.
But what you lose on earth—
You gain in Heaven.
And it’s worth it.
