Overview

This December, we want to fill God’s house with people who need to hear about the birth of our Savior. The Invite Someone to Christmas Challenge is simple: spend the month inviting people to church and bringing as many guests as you can to our Christmas Eve Service.

Every invitation is a seed of the Gospel. Every guest is a soul who will hear that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the only Savior, and the only way to heaven.

Key Challenge Details

  • Focus: Invite and bring visitors to the Christmas Eve Service.
  • Who Can Participate: Any church member or faithful attender.
  • Goal: See as many visitors as possible hear a clear presentation of the Gospel.

How the Challenge Works

  • Throughout December, invite family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and anyone you meet to our Christmas Eve Service.
  • On Christmas Eve, each visitor will be asked who invited them so we can record it properly.
  • All visitors will be counted, and the person who brings the most visitors to the service will be recognized.

The Prize

The person who brings the most visitors to the Christmas Eve Service will receive a Christmas Dinner Gift Basket filled with special Christmas treats and a gift card.

  • Hot cocoa mix
  • Candy and cookies
  • $50 gift card for Christmas dinner or groceries

The prize is a thank you, but the real reward is seeing people hear the Gospel and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Christmas Eve Service: A Christ-centered service focused on the birth of Jesus Christ, with clear Gospel preaching and an invitation to be saved.
  • Fellowship After the Service: A time of fellowship with desserts, hot drinks, and time with the church family and guests.
  • Prize Announcement: The winner of the Invite Someone to Christmas Challenge will be announced after the Christmas Eve Service and fellowship.

Purpose of the Challenge

The purpose of this challenge is not numbers, but souls. We want to:

  • Fill the church with people who need to hear the Gospel.
  • Encourage every believer to be bold in inviting others to church.
  • Use the Christmas season to point people to Christ, not to the world’s version of Christmas.

Our mission at True Words Baptist Church is to turn believers into bold disciples of Jesus Christ. Inviting people to church, especially when the Gospel will be clearly preached, is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to live that mission.

How to Take Part

  • Pray and ask God to show you who to invite.
  • Carry invitations, tracts, and church information with you wherever you go.
  • Personally commit to bringing at least one visitor, and ask God to help you bring more.
  • Follow up with people you invite: call them, text them, remind them, and offer them a ride if needed.

Let’s make this December a month of inviting, rejoicing, and celebrating the birth of our Savior. Invite someone to church, bring them to the Christmas Eve Service, and pray that God will save them and change their eternity.
