Introduction
I’m Pastor Joshua Tapp from True Words Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky — and this is Soul Winning Secrets. From the Scriptures to the streets — we live soul winning. Let’s go fishing for men.
Jesus Went to the Poor First
If Jesus were walking the earth today, He wouldn’t be holding seminars in rich suburbs — He’d be preaching in the projects.
“The poor have the gospel preached to them.” — Matthew 11:5
Poor people don’t need pity. They need the Gospel — and they’re often more ready for it than the rich.
Soul Winners Must Go Where Others Won’t
Too many churches focus on those who can give back. But real soul winning doesn’t chase wealth — it chases souls.
“Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith…?” — James 2:5
The poor have time to listen. Many are broken and searching. And Jesus loves them just as much — died for them just as fully — and wants them reached just as urgently.
Be Ready for Rough Conditions
Some poor areas are loud, dirty, unpredictable. But you’re not there for comfort — you’re there for conversion.
Be respectful. Be loving. Be bold. Treat them like royalty — because in Christ, they are.
Soul Winning Secret
“If you skip the poor, you’re skipping the people Jesus reached first.”
You don’t need a suit to preach the Gospel. You need a heart for the least of these.
Final Challenge
Find the forgotten. Go to the overlooked. The trailer parks. The slums. The tents. The broken-down apartments. The Gospel belongs to them, too.
Outro
We’ve seen souls saved week after week — and you can too. Don’t just watch — go fishing. Let’s win the world to Christ, one soul at a time.
