Soul Winning Secrets – Day 15
Don’t Confuse Them – Keeping the Gospel Clear and Clean
With Pastor Joshua Tapp | True Words Baptist Church – Louisville, KY
Introduction
I’m Pastor Joshua Tapp from True Words Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky — and this is Soul Winning Secrets. From the Scriptures to the streets — we live soul winning. Let’s go fishing for men.
Too Many Are Confusing the Message
When you’re out soul winning, remember this: the power is in the Gospel — not in your charisma, creativity, or clever illustrations.
If you add too much…
If you ramble…
If you start blending verses and muddying the meaning…
You can confuse the very person you’re trying to save.
“For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” — 1 Corinthians 2:2
Stick to the Simple Gospel
Don’t say:
- “Give your heart to God.”
- “Ask Jesus into your life.”
- “Turn from your sins.”
- “Just start living right.”
None of those are salvation — and none are found in the Gospel presentation given in Scripture.
Instead, say:
“Jesus died for you. He rose again. If you believe on Him, you’re saved — immediately and forever.”
Clarity Brings Confidence
When people understand exactly what they must do to be saved, the Holy Spirit can do His work without man-made confusion in the way.
Keep it simple. Keep it scriptural. Keep it sharp.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…” — Acts 16:31
Soul Winning Secret
“A foggy Gospel leads to false professions.”
Don’t water it down. Don’t muddy it up. Don’t confuse what Christ made simple.
Final Challenge
Speak plainly. Use Scripture. Don’t let tradition or emotion steal the clarity of the cross. The Gospel is simple — make sure you keep it that way.
Outro
We’ve seen souls saved week after week — and you can too. Don’t just watch — go fishing. Let’s win the world to Christ, one soul at a time.
