Introduction
I’m Pastor Joshua Tapp from True Words Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky — and this is Soul Winning Secrets. From the Scriptures to the streets — we live soul winning. Let’s go fishing for men.
The Hardened Heart Isn’t Hopeless
Some people build thick walls around their hearts. They’ve been hurt — by family, by churches, by sin, or by life itself. And when you bring up God, they shut down. Cold. Defensive. Distant.
But don’t give up on them — those are the very people Jesus came to save.
“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart…” — Psalm 34:18
They may act like they want nothing to do with God, but deep down, they want someone to care. You may not see the cracks in their armor — but the Holy Spirit does.
Don’t Push — Pursue with Compassion
When someone is hardened, don’t come in swinging. Come in serving. Be patient. Be real. Listen.
One of the most powerful things you can say is:
“Hey, I don’t know what you’ve been through, but I know Someone who does — and He still wants you.”
Lead with love. Share your testimony. Show them that Jesus didn’t just save you from Hell — He saved you from yourself.
Point Them to a Personal Savior
People who’ve been hurt often don’t want a religion. They want relationship — healing, peace, truth. That’s what Jesus offers.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
They don’t need polished arguments. They need to know there’s a Savior who still loves them.
Soul Winning Secret
“The coldest hearts are often just the most wounded.”
Love them. Listen. Be the voice of mercy. And when the wall begins to crack — pour in the Gospel like living water.
Final Challenge
Don’t write people off because they act tough. The hurting often wear the hardest masks. Be gentle. Be faithful. Share Jesus — and watch the hardest heart melt in the fire of God’s love.
Outro
We’ve seen souls saved week after week — and you can too. Don’t just watch — go fishing. Let’s win the world to Christ, one soul at a time.
