🎙️ [SERIES INTRO]
Welcome to Deep Dive: KJV Bible Studies. I’m Pastor Joshua Tapp from True Words Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. In this series, we go verse by verse, no fluff, no compromise—just the King James Bible, preached and taught with boldness and truth. Let’s dive in.
📜 [SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 12:31–32]
Matthew 12:31–32
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
🔍 [POINT 1: CONTEXT – WHY DID JESUS SAY THIS?]
Matthew 12:24
But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
The Pharisees saw Jesus perform miracles through the Holy Ghost.
They knew He was from God—and they still said He was possessed by Satan.
That is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost: attributing the undeniable work of the Holy Spirit to Satan himself.
❌ [POINT 2: IT’S NOT A SLIP-UP – IT’S A FINAL REJECTION]
Mark 3:29–30
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
The sin was willful, knowing rejection of the truth.
Not ignorance. Not a mistake.
They saw the truth, hated it, and declared it was evil.
🤯 [POINT 3: WHAT IT ISN’T]
Let’s clear this up:
- It’s not saying something wrong about the Holy Ghost in ignorance
- It’s not cussing in anger
- It’s not backsliding
- It’s not doubting
- It’s not a sin a saved person can even commit
If you’re worried about having committed it—that proves you haven’t.
⚠️ [POINT 4: MODERN EXAMPLES OF THIS SIN]
2 Thessalonians 2:10–12
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
This sin is final, deliberate rejection of the Spirit’s testimony about Christ.
It’s found in reprobates, who’ve been turned over by God.
Hebrews 10:29
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God,
and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing,
and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
✝️ [GOSPEL ASSURANCE: EVERY BELIEVER IS FORGIVEN]
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
If you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ—you’re clean, justified, and can never be guilty of this sin.

🗣️ CALL TO ACTION
Don’t live in fear of what cannot touch you.
If you’ve believed, you’re saved.
If you haven’t—don’t wait. Because one day, that rejection can become final.
