Preaching the Whole Counsel of God
Every Sunday at 11:00 AM, the congregation of True Words Baptist Church gathers for worship, prayer, and the verse-by-verse preaching of God’s Word.
This is not a performance or a production — it’s a time for truth, reverence, and revival through the King James Bible.
Our Sunday Morning Worship is the centerpiece of the week — a time when hearts are stirred, faith is strengthened, and Christ is exalted. We preach one of the 66 books of the Bible, continuing the cycle that takes our church through the entire Word of God, one passage at a time.
Acts 20:27
For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
A Service Built on Scripture
Every element of our worship is built around the Bible.
We begin with prayer and hymns, preparing our hearts for the preaching of God’s Word. The entire service is Christ-centered, Bible-focused, and truth-driven — with no modern gimmicks or worldly distractions.
You can expect reverence, conviction, and clarity in every part of the service.
John 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Verse-by-Verse Preaching Through the Whole Bible
Our church doesn’t skip around or follow a trend — we go book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse.
Each Sunday morning focuses on one of the 66 books of the Bible, continuing our complete teaching cycle through all of Scripture.
This ensures that our people know the whole Word of God, not just the popular parts.
2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
Pastor Joshua Tapp preaches the KJV Bible with boldness and clarity, connecting every verse to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The message isn’t just about information — it’s about transformation.
Traditional Worship with Purpose
We sing hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs that magnify Christ and prepare our hearts for His Word.
Our music is joyful, reverent, and doctrinally sound — not emotional manipulation, but true worship that points to truth.
Ephesians 5:19
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.
Every week, members of our church share testimonies of souls saved, prayers answered, and lives changed — reminders that God is still working today.
Water Baptisms and Testimonies
When a new believer follows Christ in baptism, we rejoice together.
Baptism is a public declaration of faith, picturing the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It doesn’t save — it shows salvation.
Romans 6:4
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Baptisms often take place after the morning message, marking the joyful obedience of new believers.
Why This Service Matters
Sunday Morning Worship is not just another service — it’s the heartbeat of a Bible-believing church.
When the Word of God is preached without compromise, the Holy Spirit works powerfully in hearts.
Families are strengthened. Sin is confronted. Christ is exalted.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
This is where believers grow from being hearers of the Word to doers of the Word — where disciples are made.
