SUMMARY:November Gratitude Challenge
DESCRIPTION:1 Thessalonians 5:18\nIn every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. \nWhat This Month Is About\nAll November long we are practicing thankfulness to God. Each service\, write one specific thing you’re thankful for and place it in the Thanksgiving Jar in the lobby. \nHow It Works\n\nGet a gratitude slip during each service. We hand them out during the service.\nWrite one specific thanksgiving (one slip per person per service).\nFold your note and drop it in the Thanksgiving Box up at the front of the church.\nKeep going the entire month of November up to Thanksgiving Sunday (the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving)\n\nSimple Rules\n\nOne note per person per service (multiple services = multiple entries).\nBe specific (e.g.\, “Answered prayer for work schedule” rather than “everything”).\nEntries must be submitted by the end of the final service before the Thanksgiving Dinner.\nNotes may be read anonymously at the dinner to encourage others.\nA winner will be drawn out on Thanksgiving Sunday.\n\nSchedule & Key Dates\n\nKickoff: First Sunday or Thursday in November — collection starts.\nMid-Month Check-In: Second Sunday in November — short encouragement and reminder to stay faithful.\nFinale: Church Family Thanksgiving Feast (Sunday before Thanksgiving) — prize drawing and select notes to read.\n\nPrize & Recognition\nAll submitted notes are entered into a $50 gift card drawing held during the Thanksgiving Dinner. Faithful participation is its own reward\, but we’ll also celebrate testimonies of gratitude throughout the month. \nTracking Your Progress\n\nYour entries are your progress — one note per service attended.\nFamilies are encouraged to participate together. Parents may help younger children write their notes.\n\nWhy We’re Doing This\nGratitude is obedience to God’s will and the posture of a bold disciple. Training our hearts to notice God’s goodness strengthens faith\, deepens joy\, and honors the Lord. \nFrequently Asked Questions\nWho can participate? Everyone present in services — members and guests. \nDo I need to register? No registration is required; just submit notes during services. \nWhere do I submit? The Thanksgiving Box is located at the front of the church just in front of the pulpit. \nHow is the winner chosen?
